The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted September 23, 2015 (edited) Hey there everyone, how's it going!? So then, there's this theory I thought about today that I just need to put out concerning A Fragmentary Passage! Right now, we're all wondering why Mickey decided to keep all of this a secret, right? And well, we rightly wonder, because if Mickey did encounter Aqua, why did he leave without her? Well, here's my theory! Keep in mind that it may be fatally flawed. So anyways, Mickey's looking for the Kingdom Key D, right? Okay, so he's battling through the hordes of Heartless, and he realizes just how dangerous the Realm Of Darkness is, right? So, after quite some time, he encounters Aqua, and they both rejoice in their reunion! Aqua explains what happened to her, and then they both decide to go back to the realm of light together, and so they begin their journey! Along the way, the duo comes upon a considerably ridiculous amount of Heartless, and while the duo holds their ground, Mickey is fatally wounded, and since the darkness is so strong in this place, then Mickey momentarily loses himself to the darkness, and he becomes this little beastie... Much like how Sora taps into his dark powers in his Anti-Form in Kingdom Hearts II, who's to say that maybe Mickey's time in the Realm Of Darkness exposed him to an unfriendly dosage of darkness that proved too much for him? During this time, Mickey goes on an onslaught, and he manages to defeat many of the Heartless, but Aqua starts to worry that Mickey's losing his sanity. After the battle is over, she tries talking some sense into him, but he lashes out at her, and then Aqua has to fight him, and when she wins, she brings him back to his senses! Then, realizing that Mickey can't stay here for too long, she probably leaves him somewhere, and when he wakes up, she's gone! Mickey would feel terrible, he'd feel guilty for not being able to control himself, and then he makes a promise that he'll come back for her. And it's that promise that signals the Kingdom Key D that Mickey is the rightful wielder of said Keyblade! Noticing that Mickey's promise is sincere, the Kingdom Key D manifests itself before him, knowing Mickey's resolve to be true! And well, one thing leads to another, and then he closes the Door To Darkness along with Sora, and then he and Riku remain trapped in the Realm Of Darkness, and then all the other jazz that happens in the remaining games ensues! Yeah, I know, this theory is probably brimming with flaws, so um, uh, here, look at this! Edited September 23, 2015 by The Transcendent Key

Xiro 3,468 Posted September 23, 2015 Yeah, sorry Sess, I'm not really seeing it. If Mickey were that susceptible to darkness, then you'd think that he'd be more prepared to enter the REALM of Darkness. Also, if Aqua was fine after wandering around for 12 years, I don't see much really happening to the King (unless darkness flows into his wounds or something. Buuuut it's Disney ) Now, as for getting KKD (or rather, the Keychain), anything could have happened. Something along the lines of what you theorized could have happened, seeing how Keychains are brought about with memories and significant events and whatnot. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Psychic_Ketchup 367 Posted September 23, 2015 It would be a bit of a departure from his existing character, but I'd be up for it! 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Henne 150 Posted September 23, 2015 Question time:Do we know that Mickey got into the RoD because he wanted to get that Keyblade (in KH1 sure, but as the story has changed quite a bit) or was his reason for being there to find Aqua? And then he somehow got the D? 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Guest Posted September 23, 2015 As inventive as that is, Mickey would probably be entirely conscious of his own actions if he was to betray Aqua in any capacity.
Gwynbleidd 551 Posted September 23, 2015 (edited) This actually sort of reminds me of the Purity Ring episode in South Park! Regardless of how funny that was, I don't think Disney would want one of their most popular characters being demonised by Square Enix, so unfortunately this theory is debunked. But, it'd be hilarious to see Mickey succumb to the Darkness. Edited September 23, 2015 by Recusant Sora 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted September 24, 2015 seems a bit out of character for Mickey Yeah, I know, like I said, this theory is flawed, lol, but remember, everyone has darkness in the hearts, and Mickey was never mentioned as being a character with a pure heart. Heck, Sora has darkness within him! You get my drift! But yeah, odds are that this isn't the reason why Mickey leaves Aqua behind. Yeah, sorry Sess, I'm not really seeing it. Well, it's not like he's a weakling against darkness, but remember, everyone has darkness in their hearts, and Mickey could accidentally succumb to his own darkness momentarily, hence, the scenario I imagined. It's highly unlikely, but it could happen! And yeah, the KKD appearing to him should be after his heart has full resolve! It would be a bit of a departure from his existing character, but I'd be up for it! Ya, I know, but you never know what could happen! There's always a possibility! Question time:Do we know that Mickey got into the RoD because he wanted to get that Keyblade (in KH1 sure, but as the story has changed quite a bit) or was his reason for being there to find Aqua? And then he somehow got the D? That is an interesting question in and of itself. We'll see the full answer in A Fragmentary Passage! As inventive as that is, Mickey would probably be entirely conscious of his own actions if he was to betray Aqua in any capacity. That could also be the case! And he'd feel very guilty for it if he did end up doing something such as that! This actually sort of reminds me of the Purity Ring episode in South Park! Regardless of how funny that was, I don't think Disney would want one of their most popular characters being demonised by Square Enix, so unfortunately this theory is debunked. But, it'd be hilarious to see Mickey succumb to the Darkness. Yeah, lol, like I said, this theory is flawed, but hey, no harm in putting it out there, ya know? I just find it increasingly strange as to why Mickey would just leave Aqua instead of helping her get out of the Realm Of Darkness! So much mystery...let's hope we get our answers in A Fragmentary Passage! 1 Gwynbleidd reacted to this
