keystrike 145 Posted January 29, 2011 A thread about the same person compared to almost the same person... how odd Anyways, yes, I know they are the same person but the difference between the tutorial of kh2 and days self is enough to be noted. These two characters when treated as one really makes Roxas (tutorial Roxas/ pre second half of final battle/ SaK turning into RaN at DI) honestly can be seen as retconned for the purpose of being 'Sora's nobody'. XIII, while still having some of Sora's atributes, doesn't out of the blue become the equivelent of what-I-don't-know-what-else-to-call other than kairi's boyfriend, Sora. By the way I will be refering to these characters as so: Roxas=generic roxas or kh2 roxas roxas/xiii=generic roxas as well xiii=days roxas In the end of the tutorial Roxas accepts becoming Sora; however, #13 still refuses and Axel's death awakens Roxas to battle Sora. Sora wins and finally #13 accepts becoming Sora. Roxas also has greater influences from Sora such as Namixas over friendship with Axel. Roxas becoming Sora wasn't as sad for me because he had Namine within Kairi on the other side. There is also an internal battle in Roxas' destati when #13 transforms into twilight thorn much like when Sora's shadow transforms into darkside. Anyways Darkside was Sora's existence as darkness and Twilight thorn was Roxas' existence in the realm of nothing. Both exposing "the other being" that is a heartless or nobody Seems like there are a lot of these light vs dark pairs Roxas and # XIII Sora and # XIII Roxas and Xion (final day) Sora an Riku Ven and Vanitas Repliku and Xion Other proof that xiii and roxas should be treated as different people can be found in the idea of people who need saving. Recall at the end of kh2, Roxas is just as content as Sora to be back at home with Kari/Namine, but there is a problem (or two),.. this was never Roxas/xiiis' home that he always wanted to return to, namine was never one of his best friends he wanted to return to and see, and Roxas is as happy as can be in this situation! Don't you find that a bit odd when Roxas/xiii is in torment and needs Sora to save him? In the end there is no clear definite line dividing the two but for me these two deserve to be seen, or at least analyzed, as two different people due to their natural influences from others and lack of. So what do you think? Does this matter, should this be recognized or ignored? Do you find it sad that #13 had nothing to look forward to when Roxas had Namine or do you think that because they are the same people #13 is alright? jmcmillan317 0 Posted January 31, 2011 I agree, Roxas was indeed a special Nobody, and I don't think his story is quite done yet.
