My 3D Model of Starlight Keyblade

Recommended Posts

This looks EXCELLENT!I want to be a 3D animator but I haven't even started yet. Can you help?

Thank you :3

I'm not a pro modeller, I was just lucky that everything turned out okay - if truth be told this was my first 3D model I ever made from scratch lmfao.

In terms of software, I use Blender 3D Modeller, the software is free to download from their website. Be warned though that 3D modelling and animation is not something that is easy and it will take lots of time and perserverence (and most days I just want to bash my head in since I also have University). There are many videos on youtube that give you guides on how to model stuff, I suggest you start with these first and make simple things like a ball or a table before you try manking complex things like weapons or vehicles or even character faces.

The animation software that I use is a software originally aimed at animating vocaloid models called 'Miku Miku Dance' - again this is a free software that you can find by simple googling. There are detailed guides out there which explain how to use the software as well as export models from blender and then import them into the MMD system called 'PMD editor', Do give them a read. Also if you poke around deviantart lng enough you can also find KH models (like Sora, Riku, Xehanort...etc) to use in MMD.

Once again, I stress the fact that it will take some time - but if you put in the effort and work, I'm sure you can make magic into reality.

I can't draw either :3

But imagination is a must! All things start from ideas and imagination - as long as you have those you are set to go.

When I made the Starlight Keyblade, I didn't draw anything - I only coloured it in on photoshop

That's an excellent effort! Good job. :D

I'm not sure what kind of art-like designing I want to do, but this is just one of them.

(Other industries include: Hand-Drawn; Digital editing; animation(maybe); Blacksmithing (building swords, shields, etc.); and maybe even sculpting.)
