Dave 5,715 Posted September 19, 2015 Something of an idea I just had. The notion of going second visits and third visits to worlds in the same style as KH2 seems to still be on people's minds as far as KH3 goes. Instead of having to do a full story for a second run, though, maybe it would be better if, upon completing a world, certain side quests would open up within it, the styles of which might be unique to that world, almost like how the missions in Days ran. It would certainly give the game longer replay value, and would give good reason to want to go back to the worlds after completing them. Not to mention that sometimes you just don't feel like going forward with the main story, and side quests can be a welcome distraction.

I would welcome it if they were made interesting, and felt important sort of different from mini games.
Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted September 19, 2015 Wonder if it'd be possible to make unique side quests to each world that in some way pertain to events from the movie? That all depends on just how much of the movie is actually covered on the first visit though. Still, I'd be interested in some side quests scattered about the worlds on a second visit. 1 Mango reacted to this
Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted September 19, 2015 If there are side quests they'd probably be repetitive fetch quests because apparently that's the only type of side quest you can do in an open world game.

Not necessarily. The hunting quests of Final Fantasy XII come to mind, and perhaps something similar to the Riddler Trophies from the Arkham series would provide the need to explore. There's also always escort missions, but everyone hates those.
Mango 45 Posted September 19, 2015 Side quests sound pretty great. KH3 could definitely use some to add some more flavor and play value to the worlds

LETTERSE7EN 54 Posted September 23, 2015 That sounds pretty cool..But I'd still want a second visit that is important to the story..so maybe a third visit with sidequests? Possible sidequests: Toy Story: Mr. Potato Head lost all of his parts throughout the world, finding them all and returning them to him in Andy's room will earn Sora some sort of upgrade. Extra rescue mission into Sid's house to save Rex or Little Bo' Peep from one of his torture devices. (idk, theres a reason I'm not part of the development team) Frozen: Outrunning an avalanche on Sven's back feeding him carrots, dodging trees, and jumping over fallen logs. They can do three of these avalanche mini games..Also something where Olaf is melting and you're fighting a swarm of 'sunlike' heartless..destroy them all before he melts? (yeah, these are only gonna get worse) Jungle Book: King Louie has a special item of interest, the player must impress him with various, and probably pointless, entertainment to win it. Maybe keep a coconut in the air with keyblade strokes, similar to KH2 twilight town mission, timing buttons for an "I wanna be like you" dance-off, or even a bossfight. They could also make another vine swinging thing like from Deep Jungle..but make it ten times as long, twice as frustrating and nearly impossible to figure out..labyrinth style and have it lead wherever it is that Kaa spends his time..Then another hypnotism based mini-game ensues, giving the player a serpentine keyblade upon victory.. anddd...im done
