Battle Wounds During Serious Battles?

Recommended Posts

Like previous Final Fantasy games and sometimes in certain Disney movies, near the end of the piece, the main characters would be involved in a final battle sequence and have certain bruises and even a bloody lip (Crisis Core, Pirates of the Caribbean, Narnia, etc).

Do you think since KH3 is gonna have a much more darker approach and that the final battle is gonna be the battle we've all been waiting for, do you think Sora, or any of the other characters involved within the battle might end up with bruises or cuts? (Sort of like the BBS CGI secret ending)? Just curious to think about this now before we get to see the battle in action when the game is released :P

Minor things like that? Sure, why not? It would probably make the tension a bit more suspenseful. As long as they don't go too far with it, like broken limbs or bloody wounds, or god forbid on screen loss of limbs...unless Star Wars happens. Then again, Jack got stabbed to "death", so maybe nothing is out the window. But I would rather go for minor things like cuts, scrapes, bruises, smudges, dirt stains, rips and tears in clothing, scars, and magical or supernatural wounds or changes like Braig's eye or the "Nort-if-ication" effects. You could do a lot with that kind of stuff, I remember how intense Archie Sonic the Hedgehog issue 175 got, with Sonic finally loosing a battle to Eggman for once, getting the snot beaten out of him, and even having a really beaten up black eye to go along with his torn up shoes and gloves. It really drove forth the drama of the scene, and it was really interesting to see the detail in how his eye gradually got better over the course of 176-177. So if something with that kind of detail and sensibility to be done in KH3? That would be pretty cool! :D<3

I don't see why not, but idk how it would work after the battle is over. Would all of the woulds disappear over time or just stay there like scars? Also could healing get rid of some of the wounds. It's an interesting idea though! As a fan of gore, I wouldn't mind.

I was mainly thinking the final battle because I don't think Disney would allow the entire game to have Sora and the others to be bruised and cut in every battle. I don't think we'll get that far, but maybe something in the Final Battle? :)

Aqua definitely needs bruises and cuts after the long time in the RoD. I hope they pay attention to this little detail. Not sure if this is necessary for KH3.

I agree :D Aqua should be the one to have those. It'll make her look 10x more badass. :)

Riku could barely walk after the fight with Xemnas in KH2..I don't think it'd be too much of a stretch if similar things happened in this installment. I doubt they would do any damage that carries over throughout the game, (this isn't a Batman: Arkham game). But I don't really think it'd be necessary. Then again, I definitely don't want to see Sora and co. cheerfully smiling and barely phased as MX and his 12 darkness's disappear into nothingness. Maybe more limping, or an arm injury (minus the graphic detail).

They will still ignore blood especially Disney. They even removed Hydra's blood.

Thats not exactly true, Multiple Pirate of the Caribbean games back in the day had blood, and Toontown online had those gray enemies ooze gray ink (their blood when squashed).

Most of the time its Japan just changing it cause they don't know how much America would tolerate it.

That was just a little on the coins if I remember doesn't count.

It would be a cool effect. Maybe not necessarilly blood, but if you got scuffed up and looked more ragged, that would be neat. The only downside, really, is that the ability to use Cure on a semi regular basis would make it a very fleeting thing to take advantage of.

Well dave if its physical damage like a black eye or something yea cure would likely render it a useless thing to add but if say a hole was torn in a shirt or something cure could arguably not affect that.
