Toominator 916 Posted September 17, 2015 When Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue was announced, an announcement trailer accompanied it. However, the Kingdom Hearts YouTube channel has uploaded the trailer in glorious 1080p, which includes scenes from the Kingdom Hearts III E3 2015 trailer and brand new gameplay footage of Kingdom Hearts III. The trailer ends with a "Now In Development" message. Previously, a 2016 release date was only confirmed for Japan. The official website for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue has been updated to include the trailer as well. Below you can check out Chirithy's monologue from the trailer. Long ago, all the worlds were one. This undivided world would come to be called the world of fairy tales. It all began here, in Daybreak Town. The Master of Masters has an eye that gazes into the future. He bestowed upon five of his six apprentices a copy of the Book of Prophecies... ...which contained information about the catastrophic events that lay ahead. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will contain three titles: an HD remaster of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, an HD cinematic that tells more about the story of the Foretellers, and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-, which is a playable episode that follows Aqua after the events of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. The new KHIII footage is coolio tho So again Japan is gonna get it first because the Japanese version had a date of 2016 and now the english version only has now in development. Welp that sucks.... I didn't even realize that! If 2.8 comes out late 2016 and the English version is pushed to 2017, that could mean English KHIII could be pushed back as far as 2018, too! Ugh... EDIT: I imagine if it's 'In Development' then English voice-acting for Xchi might not be ready, but why didn't they at least English dub the DDD gameplay parts and swap the lip-syncing in the cutscenes? It seriously seems like all they did was put voices for the first cutscene showing Young Xehanort and the one with Riku, but the scenes with Jiminy and Axel seem to match the Japanese voices. This trailer is incredibly lazy if so... I know the Japanese audience is top priority but take some pride in your work, guys. For one, a third of this will be like 5 hours at max, so not much voice work will be necessary. ... Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted September 17, 2015 I can't wait! So much hype! X3 Hopefully Dream Drop Distance HD will have a newly orchestrated soundtrack as well. It was one of my favorite soundtracks out of the series, so it would be nice to listen to that music anew with the HD upgrade. And yeah, that's gotta be Drake Bell voicing Eraqus. Ven983 490 Posted September 17, 2015 The "Now in Development" does not worry me in the slightest, if you go to the video on Youtube they say it is coming out in 2016 in the description. DDD is an incredibly short game and it seems like they won't add new content just straight up port it with some tweaks. 0.2 obviously is a short game using stuff from KH3 and won't be any longer than Duscae (3hrs max) then it's just a movie after that and if they use the Chi 2D art style then that won't take longThis collection is Q2 2016 IMO Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
