Kibcha78 7 Posted September 24, 2015 Oh yeah, I'm not meaning anything positive by it. I'm just curious as to why Square Enix would choose to put an entire end to an arc on a console that the series has never been on ever in its lifetime and then choose not to put the remasters on those consoles. Regardless on estimates, there is a demographic for Xbox One players because they chose to put the series on it with Kingdom Hearts 3, so they need to port these remasters on the Xbox one. I own both consoles, so my choice is gonna be the ps4, but Xbox one needs the support if they plan on releasing Kingdom Hearts 3 on it. Kingdom Hearts 1 is edited by Sony so no , you won't see the remaster on Xbox. As for the 2 and Bbs I'm not too sure but again Sony has something to do with the european translation. Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 4, 2015 I...don't see it happening really. They would have announced it right away with the PS4 if they were, and really, with the last two ReMIXes being on PS3 only, it's not that much of a surprise. There is so little love for Microsoft (an American game company and manufacturer mind you) in Japan that I'm honestly surprised that they even bothered to make KH3 for both PS4 AND XBox One. If you weren't going to give one company as much attention as the other, then why even bother in the first place? It just makes no sense from a marketing standpoint, and I don't really think having that multiplatform release is going to really boost sales all that much. Unless there's a secret subterranean colony of Microsoft only users who have played or heard of Kingdom Hearts before and love it enough to get the only game that will ever be sold on their system of choice and I just never knew about them this whole time. Then in that case Kingdom Hearts III would be the GREAT UNIFIER or something like that. But, sometimes miracles happen. Maybe if there is one more year between 2.8's release and KH3's release and they don't have any more new game concepts to fill the gap, they can make PS4 and XBone ports of all the HD collections so that everybody everywhere (who owns either of these systems) would be able to get caught up with the series in a way that makes sense so that the combined KH3 sales will likely be through the roof when it comes out. Maybe. It depends. On a lot of things. A LOT of things. Such as whether or not they CAN and whether or not they WANT to.
Gwynbleidd 551 Posted October 4, 2015 I just realised that having Kingdom Hearts III on Xbox One means the PS4 version isn't likely to look at its best, because parity.
Sora96 17,256 Posted October 4, 2015 That, plus the fact that SE is still in a contract with Sony with these HD collections. But honestly, Xbox One could really use some JRPG's to give it variety because like you said the system has 90% shooters. That's only KHFM. 90% shooters? LOL. The third-person shooters are in bed with Sony now. I just realised that having Kingdom Hearts III on Xbox One means the PS4 version isn't likely to look at its best, because parity. Rise of the Tomb Raider looks A LOT better than KH3.

But different art styles make different games look better than one another. Besides, I don't care that much enough, since I mostly care about story for Kingdom Hearts rather than it's graphical fidelity. The way I see it is that Kingdom Hearts wants to follow the same art style it has since the beginning, and it doesn't need to look better than Tomb Raider to do so. Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 6, 2015 Really, it's just a matter of them wanting to do it....and for some reason they don't. On any of them. Except for KH3...which is really what confuses me. Either commit or don't do it at all, but here they're just...gah, I don't know. Maybe one day Microsoft users will be able to make sense out of the series after getting the last chapter of a 5000 page long book. XP"
outbackjim21 83 Posted October 6, 2015 Everyone here knows that the only people who buy xboxs in japan are military and foreigners living abroad right? xbox has little to no presence amongst the japanese. Making 2.8 for the one would just be a waste of money especially since microsoft most likely threw a crap ton of money ONLY at KH3. Its already a bargain since you do have to consider the high possibility that jrpgs just dont sell that well on the one, and the fact that kids and people who have only ever had xbox probably don't even know kingdom hearts. So its great that microsoft gave SE a crap ton of money, but its not going to net them anything substantial.
KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted October 15, 2015 No HD2.8 should remain on the PS4 only. If KH3 were not as big of a priority as it is now, then by all means put HD2.8 on the XboxOne. Since that is not the case, it should remain only on the PS4. Then again, KH3 is a landmark title for the series. It is the first to ever go multi console and the first to be put on a Microsoft console on top of number one graphics for the series and unbelievable battle system. For HD2.8 to come in a ruin it by going multi console would not be right. KH3 is what we have waited for years; it should make the landmarks it has been announced to make.
