Maybe, but I'm not sure. I'm not going to set my hopes up too high for it though, if it appears it appears and that would be great, if it doesn't, well better luck next time I guess.

If it's real, I firmly believe the 'secret' will be KH2.9. I'm still 50/50 on it even though I'm excited by the potential prospects.

Square Enix could have easily announced Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMix at TGS 2013, but they decided to save that for D23 Japan Expo 2013 to make a bigger splash. I think this could happen again this year.As curious as I am about the "game", I could see it getting lost among the big video game headlines like Persona 5 and what not. At D23, Kingdom Hearts would literally have no competition.

D23 is heavily focused on KH3 though so that's something to consider.

It's kind of 50/50 as far of chances go, but Japan D23 does seem to be more like the place for a big Kingdom Hearts reveal than TGS is. Still, odds are that we'll get something more Kingdom Hearts related than just a KH Unchained Key video or news at TGS. Either way, I'm not betting too much money in either direction at this point.

If the leak proves to be real, then I'm hoping that we get some info on the game at the Tokyo Game Show!  If 2.9 turns out to be the "secret" game on Square's line-up for the show, then great!  There's a good chance it could be shown!

i have accepted that the leak is real and i dont doubt that the game was in development at some point the question is is the game still in development. i say yes nomura said he wants a new kh release ever year and unchained x is this years so 2.9 could be 2016's release but nes weekend will tell all.

I don't know WHAT to think right now. Part of me seriously wants this to be legit, but at the same time, Square hasn't said or done anything about this yet, so it's hard to tell if this is real or not. If it is real, then I'm super excited! But if it really isn't, I'm not going to get my hopes high, because Square is the most trolliest company ever.

I keep my hopes high but my expectations low. If 2.9 doesn't show up by the end of the year, I think it's a scrapped project. But I do definitely think it's legit for multiple reasons.

I feel that since the "leak" happened that they will have to say or show something at TGS and if they don't then I feel like then this is fake but we shall see it is next week so let's hope for something to happen.

No. But for those who do, I ask, how is it any different from 2.5, 1.5, or 358/2 days?If it's real I think we'll get an announcement at TGS, and more info at D23 Japan, but if it's announced at TGS, then I doubt it's real. Edited September 11, 2015 by Isamu_Kuno

I think that there is a possibility of KH 2.9 being announced at TGS 2015.

That would be our Kingdom Hearts for 2016 then since Nomura aims to release one KH title per year and till now he kept this rythm.

2008 had the localized version of KH Re:CoM, 2009 had 358/2 Days, 2010 had BBS, 2011 had Re: Coded, 2012 had DDD, 2013 had 1.5, 2014 had 2.5, 2015 has Unchained χ and 2016 could have 2.9.
