awesomeinmyworld 268 Posted September 7, 2015 I made a rant video about the complaints being made about Unchained X. Check it out if you want. But for all complaining: give Square a break. They're trying. And a lot of people aren't even supposed to have the game, mind you. Complain at me and fight me on this if you desire. 8 lea12345, Kittenz, Oli and 5 others reacted to this
Kittenz 4,281 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) I totally agree Especially what you said at the end, the Japanese players also get the same maintenance, but for them it would confusing because there should be no problem, yet because of the amount of foreigners playing it, they have to deal with it. If anyone should be getting mad it's the Japanese gamers, but they don't. Everyone else will get the game eventually, and for people saying why not now, it is much easier for them to release it locally. They have to make preparations when releasing overseas. As for the lag, this is a common thing in gaming and I don't get why people are angry now with a phone game. If I, just for example, play Halo online match with someone from america, there can be huge lag because we're on the opposite sides of the world. Same with people playing chi outside of Japan. You're playing on their servers in an area that is really far away. That's not squares problem. It's a technical problem caused by you bypassing the region lock. I play the original chi, too, and I'm willing to wait for the English unchained. For me, the wait will probably be even longer, because I'm in Australia, and Europe and America get things first and then Australia maybe gets it. I might have to play the american version, and there will probably be lag, but I won't complain about it if it does come to that. I don't get people complaining about language, either. I mean, 80% of the world don't speak a word of English. The immediate audience it was meant for, does not speak English. If you can't understand Japanese, that's not really their fault. If you find it such a problem then study it, and if you're unwilling to do that, stop complaining that you can't understand, and be patient for the English version. English is not their native language, yet people feel entitled to have everything in english in a heartbeat. And like you said, the story isn't unavaliable to people, everglow and others are working hard to bring it to us. I admit for me I do have it a bit easier, as I've been studying Japanese since 2011, but Everglows videos are still very helpful as I can't read everything. The kanji words go over my head alot, but I can translate some of it. It's people who can understand some Japanese like me, that understand more Japanese than me, that are giving up their time to bring people chi's story. And they probably have alot of other things to do in their day. I think people should be alot more grateful we even have those videos, because they could easily say no. Guest Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) The issue is that Square Enix should have been aware of changing regions to download applications before they released KH X. I understand that this application was for Japanese player only. However, if you announce a worldwide release on a Kingdom Hearts game that was exclusive to Japan, then, Square Enix should have anticipated that hardcore fans would find a way of trying to play the game. In layman terms: they needed bigger servers than anticipated to have been able to combat predicaments like these. WakelessDream 2,278 Posted September 7, 2015 It doesn't really annoy me, but I've actually been thinking the same thing, and I agree too, I think it's a bit silly to get hung up about. I know lags and maintenances can be frustrating, like *really* frustrating but honestly, even without people getting around the region lock it was to be expected, considering it's a new game, and fairly anticipated as well. So of course when you've got a large amount of people bypassing the region lock for a game that was only meant to handle so many, you're going to encounter problems. And that's not to say the overseas fans shouldn't be playing the game, if they want to, more power to them, it's just this probably should have been expected from the get-go, so I just kind of think getting all hung up over it is a little silly. That's just my opinion on it though, of course. 5 HarLea Quinn, Setrex, Oli and 2 others reacted to this
Pokemoncuzzie 271 Posted September 7, 2015 There is nothing wrong with having that maintenance and stuff at the start. But really, not expecting overseas players cannot be a valid excuse. We barely even get anything at the same time, so of course we are going to jump on first chance.Besides, didn't they like have pre-registration which could help to anticipate how much people were going to play? Of course they might run into problems, but generally there is a standard to be met. I don't blame them, pretty much every company has day one patches and online lag when a new game comes out. 1 Kittenz reacted to this
Veemon 1,540 Posted September 7, 2015 I'm totally with you on this. Hah, it even seems like whenever I'm NOT playing, then the server goes down. But anyway, I'm more of a guy who just does his own thing and lets them handle things when it needs maintenance. Not much of a complainer, y'know? JoWielder46 2 Posted September 7, 2015 I'm not even upset about the maintenance. Being a newly released game this is pretty standard, so it's better that they work out the problems now. KH is a popular franchise this really shouldn't be any surprise to anyone that this would happen. Now with that said Square could have at least been courteous enough to fill in this blank by now: We expect KH:UX to release in EU/NA in or around *insert month here* 1 Veemon reacted to this

lea12345 47 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) I mean 'aren't supposed to have' as in aren't supposed to be playing since we don't live in japan, now if you live in japan then by all means you can play it, but this version is meant for the Japanese people (people who live in Japan) to play ,which I'm guessing is the reason they put it on a Japanese server and put it in the Japanese App store where you need a Japanese account to access it but maybe its just me and my perspective hmm? Ninkoro 123 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) Im actually happy about all the lags and server problems, it just means square severley underestimated their worldwide KH audience. I feel they think Japan is their major target, and Im happy to get them to see how much we love their franchise. Well, I suppose Square Enix assumed that Kingdom Hearts 3 was the only title that the west was interested in... boy were they wrong about that.
