- Gabriel Stross -

*Flashback*

Finishing his repairs and maintenance on Sahala as it began digi-constructing to the citadel, Gabriel took a moment to rest, as his Ai, began to speak again, "Gabriel, do you ever wonder what we do?" it asked him, as he frowned confused under his mask, "I mean, for what purpose do we do what we do, the greater good?" it clarified as Gabriel sighed.

He honestly didn't know the answer, at times he felt as if the empire was a necessary evil, to bring order to the world, but at times he felt it was unnecessarily so, a tyranny even, and why did he constantly advanced this tyranny's technology? why? he never really put much thought into it. Looking back at things in the past it all looked so simple, build this, build that. enjoy building, but now...now that he was building weapons of mass destruction, armors capable of breaking people in half with one hand, nukes, all sorts of things really made him wonder...was he evil? or good?

On one side he understood the Order of Lux's ideals, overthrow Korben and take control, bringing peace to the nation, sort of respecting a former friend of his for deserting the empire, to help them, but on the other, he thought it was all futile, that if the order of lux managed won, would their reign be any different? maybe, maybe not...he could not find an answer to this question, which was plaguing him, for a long time. Deciding to focus on other projects for the remainder of the day, so he could distract himself of these thoughts

*Flachback End*

*present

Gabriel was, away from his lab, a very rare occurance, only done when he had absolutely nothing else to do back there, his remaining project was the SPARTANs, which needed the serum to work, so he didn't have a lot to do other than take a walk, and hope to meet someone...or not, because his AI would just annoy both him and the person he'd speak to. "What a beautiful day!" the Ai commented as gabriel rolled his eyes under the mask, it made random comments like that often, made him wish he inputed a mute feature in the suit or something...

- Maxis "Prime" -

"Well that was certainly some thing" Maxis said uncloaking as he entered the room, where Derik was speaking with Korben, he'd wanted to speak with the emperor, to see if he needed anything done for the time being, because Maxis as genuinely bored. "So the dude comes in, talks big and leaves...people have no respect anymore do they?" Maxis commented as he turned to Korben.

"So, i've been meaning to ask your highness for a while now, do you have any special assignments that you need done? because im not getting any work, and im starting to ge bored..." Maxis asked Korben

(Will post with Dex later, and right now I don't know what to do with Henry.

-Eclaire-

The Leader of the Order looked up. Jadis stood there, and she bit her lip. She slowly began to rise, and a flash of sparkly, brilliant light emitted from her briefly. Soon most of her upper thigh was covered by a miniskirt, and her nightgown replaced by her normal combat attire. She looked at Jadis, and sighed.

"It is okay, kid. What happened was my fault, but everyone is okay." She stepped past the recovering Fiora, moving closer. "My name is Eclaire Tonnerre, leader of the Order of Lux. You are clearly the boy Fiora told me of." She circled around him once, looking him over. "Elf. Probably...you have some magical gift." She pursed her lips, stopping in front of him. "First off, I am half-succubus. So if I make any allusions or flirtatious remarks from you, it is just my second nature talking, and can be ignored without any real problem. Second off, you are quite young..." She glanced to Fiora. "Would you mind telling me what your use is? I need everything I can to take down Korben and install a government for the people, but I can't take any youngling from the streets, I don't have the supplies. So, do tell me, Jadis...what can you offer my Order of Lux?"

She then held up a finger. "Also, Fiora. That man in the armor who tanked the young girl's rounds...was he friend or foe? And further, both of you. I need to know if you heard the young girl's name, and if you feel she could have been Nephilim." She sounded...grave. "It is extremely important, to know if that girl could have been a Nephilim, and not just enhanced with Tanzynite. The difference could spell a blessing for our cause...or further complications."

-Victoria-

She whimpered and got her things, hurrying to the door. "Okay, okay...I...no need to be mean, okay? I know when I'm not wanted anymore." She headed out...then in a fashion of being pretty freaking hung over, she tripped and slammed into Allitt's door, dropping everything around her pale legs.

"...firetruck."

-Chrysalis-

She was sleeping soundly when Ariana shook her awake. She got up at once, bare feet padding on the ground as she got the cloak on...then Ariana undid her collar, and she actually teared up.

"D...did I do anything wrong M-miss?" She asked softly. "A...am I being punished?" her small hands went to grasp part of Ariana's cloak...then she realized she was told not to ask questions, and recoiled. "I-I'm sorry, I'll be quiet!"

Chrysalis went silent on the last syllable, wide eyes expecting a slap, digging nails...something worse...

She was so confused...w...was Ariana going...going to give her away? S...she wouldn't do that, would she? W...was mommy...did mommy hate her now, for some reason?

Did she do something wrong?

The poor Nephilim girl shivered in terror. Ariana was acting strange...she was acting scary.

-Rufus Contralto-

[~earlier~]

Upon the arrival of the two to Pasa Beach, Rufus found two quaint cubby-hole rooms near the local tavern and packed himself inside of one, leaving the other for Zanza.  It was a ratty old inn with unsavoury customers and hosts alike, and the beds were stuffed with straw where the springs gave out, but it gave him plenty of time to rest and rejuvenate, hugging a beer mug he made off with in his slumber.  Upon waking, he knew exactly what to do, and let Zanza know of his nefarious plan to get back at the Empire.

"An idea has nested upon mine head!" he exclaimed over a bowl of unappetizing foods which looked as if expectorated by the cook instead of fried on his stove.  The taphouse was nearly empty in the late morning, making the room seem a lot larger without people occupying the four corners, and he had little fear of folks listening in on him.  "Listen up, Zanza, listen.  The Korbenic Empire has an airforce at its disposal, yes?  What say you to making a name for ourselves and plundering them silly?  A little gold, a little weaponry, an, oh, I don't know"--he looked about warily before continuing with a wide smirk--"an airship?"

-Yltriss Hyulli-

With all of her business trips to Langerdon, she might as well have started living there instead of its neighboring city of Feldspar.  Yltriss entered the capital with a small accompaniment of loyal guards, sly-looking individuals dressed in green robes that matched her own almost too closely.  Angular tattoos interlaced on their shaven eyebrows and shaven heads, and wiry muscles lay hidden beneath elongated sleeves, tensing and relaxing as they made sure that others kept their distance.

Another day, another korben, but this day was special in that she had more on the mind than the typical business trip duties.  Today she came with the wheedling thoughts of bribery and betrayal.

~Vortludo & Cobica~

Cobica grabbed his own glass of orange juice and drained it. Being immortal actually made him hungrier more often, so taste was not often a big deal. An odd side effect, or perhaps it wasn't actually true, just a psyche thing. Whatever the case, he ate a lot of food. He glanced back to Yev and gave him a smile. "There's a very popular higher class gentleman's club near the palace. It's frequented by a whole lot of Imperials. I say we just take the place over and hold it until the heist is about over, then teleport out of here." Cobica said, delivering the plan, if one could call it that. There wasn't a whole lot of strategy to it, the Half-Breed preferred to rely mostly on instinct and brute force.

"Perhaps not quite as chivalrous as I'd have preferred, but if it will achieve our goals of distracting the vile Korben and his empire, then I shall do it all the same!" Vortludo proclaimed with a gesture, before setting back to the bacon he had ordered. "As for the tasty delights around these parts my friend, you simply have to know what to want. It is rare that fresh things such as juices and vegetables are any degree of scrumptious. However you'll find savory stews and roasts to be quite delicious more often than not." Vortludo advised.

"As for what we should be doing until then, I was thinking we should ah, scout out the location. Get the idea?" Cobica finished answering Yev's question.

~Ryonne & Viridem~

(obvi, but only the part of these flashbacks engaging my characters were written by me. The other parts were done by NB)

Ryonne Flashback:

Ryonne brought both his scabbard and blade around to block Kylar, unintentionally leaving Sular available to hit. "Then what is it that you do?" Ryonne inquired.

Sular followed through, cutting into Ryonne's side. With this move, it was nearly done. Upon the blow connecting with Ryonne, Derik sent a blast of air out of the tip of Sular and threw his weight back, pushing him back away from Ryonne's next attack, but not before Ryonne struck Sular, throwing it off of his balance, and sending him into a kneel.

"I kill what try destroy this earth, no matter how beloved they are. No matter if someone believes me or not, and no matter who stands in my way. The blood on these blades is thick with the blood of the beloved and the "godly", remorse is as well, but I protect this world and all who inhabit it so long as their quest won't destroy it. I hide in the shadows, in the closets and under beds in folktale, used as a mere tool to keep children good. So in many people's eyes: I'm a monster. A demon. Something that the world reviled because it doesn't let them do what they want to. So, I've adjusted to such a name."

Derik came up from the position he was after the clash, and let his power flow through Sular.

"The Radiant Strike: Kai."

He drew a circle in the air, Energy forming the orb, and Derik smiled with satasfaction, and drew the Rapure back into the chambered position, and stabbed the center of the orb, causing to to shatter and explode out to Ryonne, the shatters took up the whole end of the arena it was pointed at. The finish.

Ryonne struggled to his feet. He spat blood to the side, and looked once more at Monster. The crowd was engaging in loud whispers and gossip all about. Ryonne was off the mat, clearly beyond the outlined ring. He had lost. The Swordsman slammed his blade back into the scabbard, and looked all around. "Anyone think they can beat him?" Ryonne asked the spectators. Not surprisingly, no one raised a hand. "Then tonight's sparring session is over. Get to bed, we have work to do in the morning." Ryonne said, dismissing the soldiers. As they left, Ryonne turned back to Monster. He held his compound weapon in his left hand, and offered the other to his opponent. "I still don't know about you. You pose a threat to this organization with your pure strength and judgmental actions. But there is nothing I can do about that, even if you betray us, not even all of us together could take you down. Perhaps Eclaire, but even that is doubtful. So I hope you'll stay an ally."

Derik wiped his brow. It's always nice to have a good fight now and then, and that was far from a poor match. Before accepting the handshake, he pondered Ryonne's words for a moment.

"Don't be too hard on yourself, son. You were a great opponent. Any other man would have been shredded by your moves in there, I just happen to be no normal man." He sheathed his weapons, and stepped over to Ryonne, accepting his hand. "If I were as good as you at your age I probably could have been a lot more useful at that time. Reguardless. Fine swordsmanship out there. I had yet to meet a man who could fully block Kylar's weight before you, you made it look damn easy."

He picked up the jacket. He was glad it only weighted as much as it did when it was on him, lest property damage costs would have been something to behold.

"And anyway, so far you and your team haven't given me a reason to fight you. I've assesses the situation of the world, and the man... Korben, his name? I can't remember, there are a dime a dozen of his kind in my memory... however, he has power and resources. He's destroying this planet for his own benifit. And your group are aiming to defeat him and stop his bullshit. Just tell me where you need me, and I'll be there."

He picked up his gear completely, swapped in his actual throwing picks again, and walked through the halls until he found Sandrew.

Ryonne watched Monster walk away... He turned back and made his way downstairs, to the kitchen.

Ryonne stood in the hangar, patiently awaiting his allies to make it there. They had agreed to meet here the morning of their mission, and so of course, Ryonne had gotten there as early as possible. He held his sheathed blade loosely in his right hand, feeling a little anxious about how this whole thing could do, but also remaining stony faced. No need to let others see his emotions right now. It was business time.

"Ready?" Viridem's voice called in, walking through the doorway, fully outfitted for the job. Ryonne nodded curtly. "There's a thing called words." Viridem scoffed. Ryonne shrugged.

"There's also something called body language." He replied simply. Viridem shook her head, as much as she liked Ryonne, he was difficult to understand sometimes.

Viridem's Flashback:

Viridem was walking towards the staircase, about ready to head back to her room after she had awoken Sandrew as her new friend Brooklyn had asked of her. She rounded the corner and was about to ascend, when she bumped into Ryonne, who was just coming down. Their eyes met, remaining locked for a moment, then Viridem looked down and sighed. She turned back around and headed back in. Ryonne smiled a little, taking a seat at the counter. She knew what he wanted.

"I met an interesting guy just now."

"As did I." Ryonne replied quickly.

"Orange haired newbie with some unique magic, said he was friends with some guy named Derik that was talking about you." Viridem said, setting to work.

"Derik?" Ryonne furrowed his brow. "I suppose that could've been his name. He refused to tell it to me." Ryonne replied. He was probably not going to remember that name... Not after he had delivered that message about why he was named Monster. "In any case, he was very strong."

"Strong? But you beat him didn't you?" Viridem asked, glancing back to her partner to see his answer. Ryonne shook his head. The green haired youth whistled. "That is strong."

"He seemed very driven though. He'll be helpful in our battle." Ryonne said, still pondering over his encounter. Viridem continued to work, nearly done now. The Swordsman sighed, sounding exasperated. Finally, Viridem turned around, and set a mug down on the counter. She stood on the opposite side of the island, and took a sip of her own. Ryonne smiled gratefully, and took a sip. Ah.... Viridem's hot chocolate was the best thing he had ever drank. He looked up from the delicious drink, and found his partner staring at him. "What?" He asked. Viridem bit her lip.

"I was just thinking..." She began, then hesitated. "Why do you always insist we go by ourselves? Or with a small group?"

Ryonne did not hesitate in his answer. "Because I know that we can do it by ourselves. Anytime I can save lives by doing things myself I will do it."

"But... What about our lives? Are you not afraid for yourself?" Viridem asked, not letting up while she had him opened up like this.

"No I'm not. When I signed up for this, I fully expected to expend my life for it." He said, taking another sip of his drink.

"What about my life?" The Wind asked, not looking up at him. Silence was preserved throughout the empty kitchen area, for several moments. Finally, Viridem, not being able to take it anymore looked up to Ryonne. He gave her a soft smile.

"I would trade my life for yours in a heartbeat."

"I don't want that either though." Viridem replied quietly. Ryonne did not hear her, merely polished off his drink and stood up to go put it in the sink.

"Thanks for the hot cocoa Viridem." He said, as he departed the kitchen. Viridem sat in the silence a while longer, then did the same.

~Rija~

Rija's Flashback:

The Soldier was drowning herself in her thoughts as she made her way back to the Palace, convincing herself over and over. She scarecely noticed the boy until he had bumped into her. Rija recovered quickly and looked to him. She smiled genuinely and nodded. "It's no problem. And it's Ramirez. Rija Ramirez." She said courteously, offering a hand to shake. "Might I ask what your doing about by yourself? You don't seem like a naughty criminal." Rija inquired, simply curious. After that last encounter, perhaps she wanted somebody to shake herself out of the funk.

Brooklyn took her hand and shook it with a firm but not overbearing grip, he looked around before giving his name. The alleys could hear everything, so he wanted to be sure his friend wasn't here.

"Today my house mate and I were attacked by a shape-shifter with black hair, a black jacket, white shirt, and jeans of similar pallet. He sported a beard, though it was thin and rather short. He ended up burning down our house after I managed to flea the seen with my house mate. Seemed like the assassin or underworld-esk type, so I came to get info." He stated plainly. "How about yourself?"

The Soldier looked at Brooklyn, and tapped her chin with her finger, pondering his words. "I happen to have heard of a recent series of killings that sounds like they may fall under what you said was the MO. As far as I know though, the police are still working on the case. Sorry, that I couldn't be of much help." Rija said apologetically.

The boy sighed. "Keep your eyes peeled. He seems to want power, and that tech you have on you looks rather tough." With a yawn and a stretch, he looked up into the moonlight.

"Quite a lovely night, despite what I think is going to happen the day after next. Don't be near Korben near dawn, I have a friend who intends to have a personal audience with the man early in the day, and he's known for liking dramatic flare. When he shows up, I don't know what he will do. But I plead you, don't get in his way. If you do, I don't doubt your demise, and you seem rather... Nice."

With that last statement, old Carrot Head vanished into the smoke, and back with everyone at the Rebel base.

Rija rushed towards where Korben was told to be. Seeing the door to the balcony locked, she activated Project Myth and shoulder charged it. The door went flying off its hinges, and fell into the streets below. Hopefully she didn't hit anyone. She'd check on that later. In any case, the Soldier had made it just in time to see Derik vanish into a portal. Maxis also appeared, but she paid no heed to him. She didn't make it in time to assist and protect her king. Rija took a knee before the Emperor. "My liege, I am so sorry. I knew of this encounter, yet I did not manage to save you from it. Are you alright sire? I am willing to accept any punishment for allowing this to happen." Rija spoke quickly, her tone as sincere as possible, feeling quite bad about the whole situation.

-Emperor Korben-

Korben's contemplation was interrupted by none other than Derik Jameson Absolon, the man known as Monster...and revered as legend, who pressed his red-hot forehead against an unwavering Korben's ice-cold helmet which didn't heat up even the slightest, nor did Korben really care as Derik spat harsh words, threats and insults at the Dark Emperor.

A lot of it was shoved aside by Korben, even as Monster broke his balcony below him, Korben just casually floated as it did, not at all budging up until Derik backed off, clearly he was just here to talk big and fuel his ego, rather than actually confront him.

This...well, amused Korben...greatly, as he let out a chuckle, which escalated into a laugh then to a bellowing evil laugh of much amusement, passion and befuddlement at Derik, as he soon calmed down and breathed out, then in before speaking. "All bark and no bite are we, Derik Jameson Absolon? Just false bravado...as I expected." He uttered, then folded his arms as he saw him about to leave.

"One thing is for certain....you have no idea what you are dealing with. Before any of this is over, I guarantee...you'll be seeing me in your nightmares..." These words resonated with a dark distortion, which to Derik would seem like him being creepy, but in reality, it was an enchantment from Korben, planting the idea in his mind just as he left...soon enough those words would be very, very real.

Very soon afterwards, Maxis approached and quizzed Korben as to what he could do for him. Korben could taste his boredom, almost literally, so he had a short think to himself as he hovered over and back inside, then throwing out a small spell that would reconstruct his Balcony. "Ahh, Maxis....hmm...I have nothing major currently as a job, and anything like that has already be taken, but I don't want to give you something simple like Guard Duty..." He said, wondering what role he could assign him, but then a thought occurred to him, not a assignment but...

"As some would say...would you like to see something, cool?" He asked.

(Regarding Rija, Yuffie, she's in the wrong place. Korben is at his Balcony, now under repairs, in his chambers. Along with anyone wishing to enter needing to knock first.)

-Nolan "Arkham" Vigil-

Nolan was getting agitated and, more than anything, worried about what may be occurring in Eclaire's room, hearing some chatter and apology during this. "What's going on in there?!" He asked out of concern, but then heard something about "Sexual acts"...then he scoffed. "Eclaire, did you nearly murder someone again? What this time? A bear hug? A simple kiss? Not-listening-to-Arkham Act?" Nolan said, half-jesting, part-confused and part-slightly worried.

-Zanza Quinn-

Having assisted Rufus 48 hours prior, Zanza stuck with him instead of taking off, showing that Rufus was a rather...interesting individual, admiring his propriety yet befuddled at his motives. Doesn't mean he didn't take an immediate liking to him, because he did.

Then he told Zanza of his plan...

"...steal an...Airship?" He asked, sounding dumbfounded...then he leaned forward. "I'm listening."

"I'm listening."

Now, time to act.Derik stirred and awoke. Time for his assault. Those who dared stand I'm his way would falter like the rest. He looked around. The man dare say thst Derik would see him in his nightmares, little did the man know that men like him don't dream. Even in sleep, he's never gone enough to dream. There is no rest for the Wicked. He laughed, thinking of the man who dared even have the audacity to call him full of nothing but Bravado. An insult he couldn't count on an army-s fingers and toes how many times he had heard. Korben was a man who likes to think he is god. Magic? He could feel the spell rest on his skin. Encantation of some kind. No matter, no magician alive has scratched him, not since he was a young man did he fear magic. Whatever it was, Derik didn't care.He decided that it cannot stop him. Nothing would. Then, Brooklyn walked in."Whatever has you laughing now?""That man. He acts just like this one leader I knew back ages ago, he was a good man. Misguided. But good. Do regret killing him, however, this "Korben" Seems to lack a sense of honor, unlike him. Dares even try getting a leg up on me.""Damn, what did he do?""Some kind of magic. A trap. Something that doesn't matter and won't matter. You know me.""As frustrating as it is, yes I do. I assume since you're awake, you wish to start?""But of course.""Then let's prepare. This might be fun."At this moment, Sandrew walked in, his sword prepared for battle, and his magic at the ready."Then let's get cracking! I can't wait anymore, you told me so many times about the lush fields the earth once had, and how this guy is killing our world. I hate fighting, but this is one of those times where we can't help but have to!""Hold your horses, buddy. I'm not sure I want you out there. You're not as strong as I or Brooklyn, and I won't be able to look after you the whole time." Derik, with a fatherly tone stated, his concern was genuine. Sandrew was tough, but he was still inexperienced and if he got too caught up..."I can do it! I know I can. You taught me everything I know, if I couldn't handle myself, you wouldn't have let Brooklyn let me stay here, it's too dangerous!""..." He looked out into the window of the Kitchen, towards their destination. He wasn't sure. Sandrew was right, but Derik knew that this "Korben" fellow might just decided to join the fray, and if he targeted Sandrew it would be over. But somehow he knew that, even if that happened, Korben wouldn't likely target him, and Brooklyn had a fast enough reaction time... "Fine, kiddo. Fine, just don't let me down. And be safe... well, safe as you can be in this fight. Stick to my back, and if the guy I'm after comes out, retreat with Brooklyn... OK?""Can do" Sandrew gave a thumbs up, and Derik ruffled his hair."Before that, I want to teach you the secret of the Reigns. You'll need the boost during this fight..."Through the help of Brooklyn giving them the time they need, Sandrew was taught the Reigns, though in reality it only took a few hours, however, speed had been accelerated around them, Brooklyn's contribution to the project. The year was achieved and then some that was needed to learn them properly, just barely. Now, it was time to go.(From here on it, I would like to request that I start my siege on Korben's base. This will require a large amount of killing and combat. I can go into more details if Kuni/Mystic wish, however, this is our time if approved.)

-Ariana-

Ari's gaze softened upon looking at the frightened angel.  "No, my child, you did not do anything wrong, but I must do something . . . with you."  After that she refused to look at the child, as she clutched her shoulder tightly and led her from the room.

The halls were more silent than usual, for reasons Ari could not fathom.  A few guards stood their posts, but none looked at all interested in her appearance.  Whenever a guard did catch her eye they would quickly turn away, lest they be accused of planned murder of the general and be killed on the spot--an incident which happened all too frequently.  The dark general stole a quick glance around the corner and released Chrysalis's shoulder, beckoning her along.  Silently they made their way out of the enormous palace, outside the courtyard, and on the outskirts of Langerdon itself.

The tall woman tucked a lock of raven hair behind her ear, her violet eyes dark and calculating.  She stole a glance over her shoulder before resting her palms on Chrysalis's shoulders.  "Chrysalis, you saved my life and you have treated me with respect and love.  While I can never give you want you want, nor can I give you a proper home, I . . . want to thank you, for making me alive again and giving me something to"--her voice cracked, her eyes growing watery--"love."  Abruptly and harshly, she tugged Chrysalis into a hug, pressing the girl's head into her chest.  Finally she pulled away, feeling warmth spread across her entire frame.  "I am freeing you.  You have served me well, and the time has come for you to return to your family that misses you.  You have a brother named Jeremy Hunter.  I want you to find him and deliver this letter to him.  Go by the name of Rika, forget that you were ever called Chrysalis.  Whatever you do, do not join the rebellion, for if you do I will have no choice but to kill you."

Ariana drew in a breath, withdrawing a pouch of coins and thrusting it into Chrysalis's tiny hand.  "This should get you by.  Use my name in imperial territory and you will be given food and shelter.  Should anyone mess with you, give them my name and they will stop.  I am feared and for good reason."  She turned away, preparing to head back to the capital without her young companion.  She let out a sigh, her body shuddering violently.  She couldn't believe that she was doing this--freeing the very project that was crucial to their operation--but she felt peace in her heart upon her decision.  Once she got rid of Chrysalis she could go back to normal, continue serving her empire as she was meant to do.  "And, Chrysalis?" Ari tilted her head to meet the girl's eye one last time.  "No matter what anyone tells you, no matter what they say about me . . . know that I truly do . . . love you."

-Jadis-

The blue-haired mage huffed upon Eclaire's words.  "I can do a lot!  I'm a mage!  I was trained to fight when I was young and I really could help you out."  He threw a glance in Fiora's direction, hoping that the young woman could come to his defense and claim his importance.  "Please, Ma'am.  I have lost everything to the empire.  The least I could do is fight for a chance that other young elves like me can live their lives in peace without fearing prosecution or having their parents killed before their eyes."

It was a touchy topic, one that Jadis preferred to avoid if possible.  A violent shudder coursed through his body, causing him to stabilize himself against the wall.  "I really, really want to help.  I need to make myself useful.  Please, Ma'am, just give me a chance!"

-Yevgeni-

After watching Vort take a bite of bacon Yevgeni thought that he might as well try it.  He nibbled on a piece, determining that it wasn't half bad.  Sure it was a little greasy and cold, but he'd had worse.  "I'm not sure what I think about a gentleman's club," he said finally in response to Cobica's suggestion.  "I have never been into it myself and I'm uncertain how much of a riot we could start, unless we decide to kidnap the strip dancer and start a fight with the drunken men, which is plausible."

Yevgeni started to bring the glass of orange juice to his lips before deciding against it.  He leaned forward to talk with the two men, hoping not to catch the ears of the nosy patrons.  "I am wondering if it would be most apt if we target government buildings.  Postal offices, maybe a bank, or even a department or branch of the empire itself.  While a club will attract some attention, I am certain that fights happen commonly in such locations."  He glanced up.  "What are your thoughts?  I'll go to the club, if you still think it's best, but I have my reserves on the matter."

- Mikhail Crad -

Mikhail entered the Hangar to see Viridem and Ryonne waiting, already prepared, he polished and oiled his blades a few hours prior, made some bombs, brewed a few potions, witcher's normal type of preparation, he walked over to them, "Well here I am, I see Slade hasn't arrived yet..." Mikhail spoke, "Before we do anything are we gonna keep a killcount? see who killed more? make a bet?" He joked, trying to lightem up the mood.

Honestly, he was anxious for what they'd face in the citadel, he re-checked his potions and bombs, "Grapeshot, Dragons dream, Devil's puffball...bombs all good, and potions, Swallow, gadwall, rook, and my favorite, blizzard..." He muttered as he checked it, what these potions did when drinked, only he knew.

- Maxis "Prime" -

"Things have been pretty quiet, i'l say that." Maxis said shrugging, things seemed quiet, perhaps a bit too quiet for his liking, as much as he loved training and sleeping in stasis, it was all getting to monotone to him, Maxis however crossed his arms and thought a bit about Korben's offer, thinking it was a bit too weird for Korben to ask such a thing, he certainly hoped he wouldn't try to kill him... "Uhh, sure, depends on what it is thought, but why not?" Maxis accepted Korben offer, unsure about what it was.

- Gabriel Stross -

And again, another god damn attack, although this time htey only lost a balcony, repair bots had already been sent there, as Gabriel was sitting in the courtyards, there he managed to spy a familiar figure, it was Ariana, walking with someone else, which he didn't have time to analyze as he only saw them for a split second, not an usual sight, so unusual that he tapped into the empire's network, and ejected a spy drone from his lab, as it soon arrived at the courtyard and followed after Arianna, he had to take precautions, be it friend or foe, these recent attacks were already showing that the defense net he helped make for the empire was...severely lacking. The drone picked up Arianna's trail and followed her, spying on her, possibly without her knowing.

- Henry Hansees -

The doors of the establishment opened (Where Yev and his group are) as Henry walked in, with an aura easily noticeable by anyone keen on magic, which he thought the place wouldn't have any as he walked over to the counter, sat down, "I want your strongest drink, please." Henry asked, he'd always ask for the strongest alcoholic drink in any bar, restaurant or cafeteria, as liquor helped him out with the small discomfort of his bones made of rock's material being replaced by his tanzynite, it was a minor discomfort, albeit to a normal human it'd be one of the worst pains imaginable, this usually happened once a week, and for the entire day, Henry would feel this discomfort in his entire body, only two things helped relieve it, fighting and drinking. And there was nothing to fight at the moment, He did notice the colorful group of individuals sitting in a table in the back (Yev and his group) however, but paid no mind, as he waited for his drink to be served.

(Edit for Rija is done.)

~The Doctor~

"Do not be mistaken Ari." A voice, sleek as a luxury car, with a tone indicating a grave problem. "Your little pet is still Imperial property." The Doctor said, emerging from behind a nearby wall. "I happened to be just coming back from a monster report outside Langerdon, when I found you guys. It's always a delight to find colleagues outside of work. So I came a bit closer, only to hear your topic of conversation. I am certain that you would be in deep water for facilitating the escape of a valued prisoner and subject. Treasonous... Not even you could escape the guillotine on this one." The Doctor continued, his tinted glasses hiding his sharp eyes from the view of the two. "However," The Doctor said, pulling out his datapad. He did a few quick swipes, and several dozen yards away, a drone plummeted to the ground, crashed and was destroyed. A few more swipes and the video was wiped. "I happen to not particularly care for whether you are treasonous or not. And I frowned on the use of little Rika as a subject to begin with. Now then, good bye. I do have a last bit of work back in the lab. My serum has just been delivered. I ask only that you remember me in your will!" The Doctor called back, as he then began to leave, walking back towards the Palace.

~Cobica & Vortludo~

"You missed the good part of the plan my heavenly friend." Cobica said, waving his finger like he had an extra point. Which he did. "Imperial officials frequent there. Like, lots of them. We interrupt their good time and start spouting rebellion this, Order of Lux that, maybe kill a few of them, you better believe they'll call back up. From there, we basically have a fortress of strippers and booze. And since it's so close to the Palace, it may be taken as an even larger threat to the actual Palace. Increasing security there will decrease security where everyone else is attacking." Cobica outlined with gratuitous hand motions, particularly for the words "stripper" and "booze". Meanwhile, Vortludo was keeping a careful eye on the man that had just entered. Working with magic had given him an eye for it... The man was a more than decent mage, but there was also an unnaturalness to his power. Possibly Tanzynite...

-Eclaire-

The paused, and held up a hand.

"hold on, Jadis." She picked up her comm. "Arkham, calm down. I just kissed Fiora. I'd do more but I have morals." She rolled her eyes, and looked back at Jadis. "I need your magic then. I am planning a major operation soon, and while most are set right now....I need mages here, at home, to keep the place safe. If you want to help, train and stay here with Fiora. She can help you."

She then blinked. Mage...and from that kiss...power...

"Jadis, go to the south battlement. You will find the mage's tower there, where you can learn and rest. I need Fiora for something extremely important."

-Chrysalis-

The girl was frozen...then her beautiful white wings unfurled...then, another set...then another. All six wings extended, an she rose to Ariana's face height. Her face was covered in silent tears, as Chrysalis...no, as Rika Kairi Hunter looked at the once-vile woman, who now had become her precious, precious mother. Her small, thing arms extended to hold the woman, pressing her face to Ariana's, her wings surrounding them in the biggest hug the small girl could manage.

"I promise, Mommy." She began. "You are my mommy. When my mom died, you came to me in that darkness, and lifted me up. I knew that no matter what, even if I made you angry....the chains and whips...mommy you always lifted me up from that darkness." She smiled so sweetly. "No matter what I love you too. And...and I will join the Rebellion. I will come back to the Citadel you once kept me chained." her hand gently held Ariana's cheek. "Mommy, I'll come back, stronger...and when I return mommy...I'll break your chains." She kissed Ariana's forehead, spreading a warm light that outlined the dark general.

"Because you're my mommy. And I can feel your light...it is small, but it is brilliant. And right now, it's as bright as the stars above. so please, mommy. Wait for me." She pulled away, still in the air. "Your Chrysalis will blossom for you."

And then she was gone.

-Rufus Contralto-

[~earlier~]

Rufus grinned even wider, leaning forward as well and propping himself on folded hands.  Overabundant excitement bubbled forth from him as if he were touched in the head, and indeed he was.

"A brace of airships lie docked at the airport, half of its crew out searching for supplies and and the other half working on and off deck.  We sneak on board one, sabotage its key functions, set off an alarm, and seize the other while they figure out the problems, swinging from two of the airship's many hanging ropes.

"Security is lax.  While known for housing thieves and scoundrels of many a colour, Pasa Beach is passive and afraid of Imperial troubles.  Use that as an advantage, and we've netted an airship.  Only one trouble remains, though," he paused, and he sighed as he did.  "Two people can fly, but not fight while flying.  We need . . . manpower.  Be it one or many, either you or I need protection to control the ship in case any are left on or crawl on board."

Rufus paused again, looking over to the tavern's keeper as he entered and leaned onto the counter, dirtying an already grimy glass with a filthy rag as if to dry it.  A slight frown wrinkled his eyebrows as he recognised the man as an eavesdropper, and he whispered over to Zanza with a hand curled over his mouth.

"Know you any friends from around?  You seem like a man with friends from the spheres of existence above, below, and between."

-Yltriss Hyulli-

Yltriss slipped into the palace through the main entry, along with her five tattooed henchman.  Security was tighter than ever before now that the false goddesses strove to wreak havoc in Emperor Korben's command centre and abode, and it was stricter than ever, with bodily searches and the removal of weapons from her and her bodyguards' persons.  Thankfully there was little to leave behind, her stiletto and a few dozen throwing knives from her body guards, but she wondered how much would be surveyed by security cameras, and how easy it may be to overhear conversations through them.

It was for that reason that she left four of her wiry guards behind to mingle or whatever they did to ease themselves, and leave the fifth for protection.  It took some time and pressuring of servants to find out where Gabriel was, and find him she did out in the courtyard.

"Gabriel," Yltriss spoke with the facade of a smile.  Maybe it was a true smile, but she spoke and acted in so many ways over the years that lies seemed like truth and truth seemed like lies to even her.  "I am pleased to come across you.  If you are available, I may be up to chatting with you at this moment."

She looked over her shoulder before she sat on a stone bench and commanded to her protector, "Iruik, kecre tas," code that only they knew meaning "Iruik, away at a distance."  When he withdrew, Yltriss smiled again, folding her arms into her overlong sleeves to keep warm.  While young in appearance, she still held age-garnered sensitivity to the nip of Langerdon's chilly breezes.

-Chrysalis-

The young girl flew fast and true, but she faltered again and again. She didn't want to leave Langerdon behind...she didn't want to leave Ariana behind...but in this freedom she could return...in this freedom...she could save Ari. She had to..

Then she backwinged and held her hands up, as a brilliant light blocked her path. Eyes wide, she thought she was about to die from som anti aircraft laser.

Instead, the young girl found herself facing a beautiful angel with blue armor and hair as golden as hers.

"Wh...who are you?"

"I am one of the Valkyries of Dawn, young one. My sister Tiriel waits north, towards the ruins of what was once the Cathedral of Light. Go there." She smiled, a warm, radiant expression that caused Rika to feel...energized. She nodded. "What do I do when I finally get there?"

She laughed lightly.

"You will know when you get there, young one. Now fly fast, and fly true." And she faded away, leaving Rika to turn and head north as fast as her wings could take her...towards the Cathedral.

"...wait for me, Jeremy...please wait for me."

-Emperor Korben-

Korben hadn't noticed the Door flying off of its hinges and right past him into the streets below, but he did pay Rija heed as she apologized for not being there to aid him in time. "At ease, Rija. It is fine. That was Derik anyway...he has bravado about him, but a lot is needed to take him down." He said, gesturing her to rise from her kneel. "Anyway, if you wish to accompany me and Maxis, please do." Korben added, gesturing Maxis to follow as he walked out of his room.

-Lucius Alpha-

The Cowboy Assassin had been walking in the streets of Langerdon when he looked up, only to see a Wooden Door, torn from its hinges, flying into the street and landing right in front of him with a resounding boom, not at all surprising him however.

"Huh. Korben must be a fan of altercations." He made note of this, then kept walking, waiting for his Communicator Device to beep for his next contract, as he was growing slightly bored. Slightly.

-Zanza Quinn-

Zanza listened intently, taking in Rufus's ideas and explanation with the utmost interest and care and wondering how they'd pull this off...and why it sounded a little familiar to a pirate's tale of how they stole a ship.

"Hmm...that could indeed work to our advantage, should we succeed, of course." He replied, then noticed he was lowering his voice to a whisper because of the Tavern Keeper staring across at them while futilely drying a mug with a filthy rag. "Well, I do know a few people..." He said, then immediately conjured a floating Summoned Sword, with Demon Energy in it, and sent it right into the Tavern Keepers head, killing him instantly as he fell over, the Demonic Power vapourizing his body before it hit the ground. "Him not being one of them...." He added.

"Here's the thing though...we either rely on a ragtag group of potential thieves and criminals...or we put all bets on the Rebellion that Korben is so eager to convince us is a Myth...and which I'm still a little unsure about honestly. I'm more sure of you than that group." Zanza explained, gesturing with his gloved hands a little as he elaborated.

-Nolan "Arkham" Vigil-

"Oh, thank the Gods. I was worried about the person involved, along with yourself, being completely screwed." Nolan uttered with relief, then he focused. "Did you catch anything I said? Or were you too busy oggling who's with you? I'm sure they're pretty, but damn." He said, with a very, very slight tone of something almost resembling jealousy.

-Slade Joseph Wilson-

"I hope you won't be beginning without myself, hmm?" A hand patted Mikhail on the shoulder as a friendly gesture while Slade stepped into view and folded his arms. "So, are we ready?" He said bluntly, not making a joke like most would. He did make the occasional one however, normally quite amusing but he was by no means a Snarker....maybe.

-Azrael/Masked Man-

Sitting in the Order of Lux's Base, the Masked Man pondered to himself calmly while Meditating to keep his energy down and anything "Azrael-y" in check, as they would immediately never trust him ever if they knew this about him, especially a man...demon, who already felt unsure of himself and his Eternity of life in Hell, potentially fitting for an Embodiment of Chaos as even he didn't know himself. He was evil and a Demon, that was all that was truly certain....but even then, who knew?

-Ayane Takahashi "Shinobi"-

Shinobi had ran and searched for a while now, around 52 Hours of constant movement, exploring the lands, only the Shivering Moors prevented any entry. The Elves prefer to keep to themselves and have done for centuries now, perhaps even since ancient times before Korben.

She now stood at the Docks, seeing The Forgotten Isle as her next destination, then she would give the Korbenic Lands another sweep, then enter the Lux Territories.

"If they are on this island...that would explain a lot." She thought to herself, then she took several steps back, readied herself as she began to crackle with electricity...

LIMITERS DE-ACTIVATED. SPEED BOOST ENGAGED.

With this, she took off like a Lightning Bolt, running faster than usual...fast enough to allow her to run across the seas without sinking as if it were ground beneath her feet, were it not for the splashing. She would need to keep running, lest she sink like a stone, almost literally as the suit made her heavier.

~Ryonne & Viridem~

Ryonne nodded towards Mikhail and Slade when they came in. "Excellent. Let's get going, no need to delay." He said shortly, then turned and ascended the ramp into the helicopter like transport that would take them in as far as it could. He could be heard from outside calling for the pilot to get things started. The rotors began to spin as Viridem looked to Mikhail.

"A bet over kill count? I'm certainly up for it. What's the prize?" She asked as she began to load up into the transport herself.

~Rija~

Rija stood up from her kneeling position to follow her superior, moving to his left side quickly. "My liege, you do not understand the gravity of my actions. I received intel late last night that this meeting was to take place, but was helpless to prevent it or assist you. Especially with the strength of the legendary Absolon, you easily could have been hurt, or worse, killed. My emperor, this was a blunder fully deserving of grave punishment." She continued. Sometimes she felt that he was too soft on his more trusted allies, and this was a problem. Any kind of softness, unfair treatment, set a poor example for other Imperial officials.

~Neena~

"I wouldn't be worrying about Korben right now." A voice said from behind Lucius. From the shadows, a lithe figure erupted into an attack, their short blade gleaming with dark energy as they swung across Lucius' neck, sliding to a stop in front of him. "For a supposedly good assassin, you leave yourself wide open." Neena said, lunging forward again with a quick stab of the blade. She brought her off hand up in an unarmed strike, dark magic blasting off her hand as it neared its destination. Lucius Alpha was an infamous assassin, and one that needed to be stopped. His unaging body particularly placed him higher on her list, considering he would never die unless someone killed him.

-Rufus Contralto-

Rufus batted more than an eyelash as the summoned sword plunged into the evesdropper and removed him from physical existence, wiping away tears from his eyes and sniffling "The best mojitos I've ever had he made.  I'll remember you forevermore, thou bloated mixer."  It was not long before he recovered, though, and returned to the conversation.

"That is truth, and I've no yearnings to aid either.  It is to my shame that I do not have lasting connections beyond a few days with the officials with either the criminal underground or the Rebellion, but the Rebellion is our best chance.  A contact is known of me, but she won't like it excepting the claim of an airship, and I won't like it either due to free labour for a conniving, heartless, deceitful, detestable, pestiferous, agitating, and otherwise putrid debaucheress."

He hawked up a ball of spit just for the occasion, half landing with a solid splat on the floor and half trailing from his lips.  He wiped his gathering of stranded salivations away guiltily with his handkerchief and collected himself as best as he could.

"Art thou sure that you don't have trustworthy friends in high places elsewhere?"

-Ariana-

Chrysalis's tender words left a weak smile upon Ari's lips.  It had been what seemed like ages since someone cared, and to see this young girl care, even if only a child, meant something fierce to her.  The voice behind her, however, made her smile fade, and she didn't even need to whip around to know it was The Doctor.  She whipped around, black hair fanning, and gave him a cool stare.  Her fist clenched at her sides, entirely ready to kill The Doctor on the spot should he start a problem.  To her surprise, however . . . he didn't.  It took a few moments for the general to fully process what the man had said, to which she responded, "And I will know if you speak, and believe me that you'll be the one regretting it!"

She was, however, relieved.  While she took every precaution she could, there were still chances that Chrysalis's escape could be traced back to her.  She disguised her and traveled out the back entrance of the castle as well as through forests, thick enough that no person would stumble upon them unless intentionally.

After a long moment of looking in the direction of Chrysalis's disappearance Ari let out a sigh, shadows dancing around her form.  "It has been done.  And now I can return to the ways things used to be.  I can fulfill my purpose."  Demonic wings protruded from her back and Ari let out a cry, as she kicked off the ground and flew in the direction of the palace.  She would, however, ground herself before reaching the grounds lest she make a spectacle of herself.

-Jadis-

The mage's eyes widened significantly as he listened in to Eclaire's conversation on her comm.  What . . . kissed?  That certainly wasn't what Jadis expected in the least.  Finally all of the dots connected and the scenario fit into place.  "Is that why she's sick?!" Jadis cried out, uncaring that he was yelling at authority.  "You hurt your own comrades?  Is she going to be okay?"

Instead of obey Eclaire's order he knelt down beside the young woman, a look of concern contorting his face.  "Please, Fiora, you're going to be okay, no matter what I have to do.  I already lost Mara and I am not losing you, too."  He withdrew the elixir from his pocket and glanced at it.  It was the one which Rufus had made, presented to Fiora to heal Neena.  Originally he was going to use it on Mara, but, well . . . it was too late for that.

-Yevgeni-

There certainly was more to the club than Yevgeni had anticipated.  Finally the blond nodded.  "Very well.  I see what you're saying.  That would be an excellent place to target, and I'd say that we try to gather intel throughout the rest of the day, if possible."  With that Yevgeni rose, brushing his hands together before reaching for his gloves in his coat pocket.  "I am going for a walk.  After that food I think I need some fresh air to digest it.  Either of you interested in joining me?"

Meanwhile, a familiar looking girl approached their table, clearing her throat behind Vortludo.  It was the same young woman that they'd met in the tavern a few nights back, the one that had turned them in to Tekanorojia and nearly got them killed.  "Uh, excuse me, sir," she said, voice timid as she addressed Vortludo.  Dark circles haunted under her reddened eyes, her hair disheveled and clothes unkempt.  "I--I was really hoping that we could talk.  Just the two of us, if you don't mind?"

Yevgeni withdrew his rapier immediately, pointing it at the dark-haired menace.  "Like you could even be trusted to talk," Yevgeni spat.  "You'd be lucky if I don't kill you right here and now after what you did to us."

(I'm so very tempted to take this young woman on as a character. : P)

-Emperor Korben-

Rija's insistence on punishment triggered something within Korben, causing him to growl and without much warning, grip Rija by the neck and slam her into the nearest wall, cracking the wall from the force of his impact. "Allow me to make something perfectly clear here, Rija: You are not my Bodyguard. You are not required to be at my side at all times to protect me, because for one thing: I have my Royal Guards for that, but I have them off duty for now, so they are not to be blamed either. Another thing: I am perfectly capable of defending myself!" He growled his words at her, his grip on her neck tightened as he enforced his point. "And for the record: I treat my Loyal Subjects with respect and care, only punishing upon disastrous failure, such as not watching the castle entrance just in case Eclaire comes in and kills 6 of my Generals, hence why that Soldier is now needing some serious work on his neck...or just incineration." Korben added, not at all concerned about what Maxis may or may not do.

"So, think about that next time before you lecture me on what to do with any of you upon failure." With this, he let go of her neck and stepped back a little, then his tone softened. "In reality however, I say this because of on thing: Derik is a powerful man, bravado aside...fighting him alone is complete and utter suicide for someone like you. If anyone here is capable of 1-on-1 combat with Derik, it is me and even then, I had the aid of the Palace Defense Force lining up shots to soften him up and distract him, but the coward departed before such a thing could occur." He stated, then he stepped forward once more. "I worry about you, Rija, in the good way, like all of my top Lieutenants. I cannot afford to lose you, Maxis or anyone else...you're all valuable assets and damn good people. And I care about you all. To thrust you at Derik in my honour would be like hurling a Son of Mine into War, while he's still a child." Korben spoke calmly and softly, even slightly melancholy as he made the figurative Son analogy.

Korben then extended a hand to help Rija up. "Put simply: I won't punish you more than I have because it would be wrong. I still have a sense of such, don't you know." He slightly jested.

-Nolan "Arkham" Vigil-

"Oh great, a misunderstanding. Joy." Nolan noted as Jadis panicked and hurled an accusation at Eclaire. "Look, Mage: Eclaire is a Succubus. She needs energy from Sexual Activities to remain at the top of her game. A deprivation of such will make her irritable, stressed and unfocused. Worst case scenario: She could actually die from lack of...the business. So keep that in mind, if you don't mind. Fiora will be fine." He explained, trying to calm Jadis down.

"Speaking of Eclaire, you're still paying attention, right?" Nolan added.

-Slade Joseph Wilson-

"I'll throw my figurative hat into this bet." Slade added as he headed to the Helicopter Transport with the others. "Perhaps we can discuss the prize along the way?" He made mention of this so they'd have something to actually talk about along the way, rather than just killing methods and stuff.

-Lucius Alpha-

Lucius heard Neena approaching, mainly due to her quip, so he knew when to dodge her Sword Swipe at his neck as she stood before him after to make more quips and insults. "For a Cold-Hearted Mass Killer, you sure do have a sense of humour. Albeit a bad one." He decided to indulge her in this attempt on his life, then stood to the side slightly to dodge her stab and wrap his arm around hers in order for his free hand to grab one of his Revolvers and attempt to Pistol-Whip her, but could not avoid the Dark Blast, which released his grip upon her and sent him sliding back, but only slightly as he holstered his Revolver and wiggled all of his fingers rapidly. "I mean, do you actually have any professionalism? Or do you just kill because of Tanzynite Hatred?" He posed this question with the usual snark, but he still carried it as thought-provoking. "C'mon, Neena. How 'bout you just stop? Live a little? I do that and I'm an Assassin for the gods sake." Lucius remarked, shrugging as he did.

-Zanza Quinn-

Zanza was lightly amused by Rufus's description of someone, but also impressed with his Vocabulary, then he interjected with a query. "I don't suppose you're talking about their Leader: Eclaire, hmm?" He asked, referring to said description.

He then sighed. "I am afraid not, my friend. It's hard to keep contacts like that when they either get too big for their firetrucking boots and join the Rebellion or get discovered by Korben anyway and are executed." Zanza lamented, then he had a think. "Hmm...and Criminals aren't a good bet...perhaps, we should have a cause of our own? A...Clan? Group? Gathering? Organization? Band of Bards, whatever the case, perhaps we should rally people, but make it clear to the Empire we are not Rebels. Should be easy enough, because it is perfectly legal to form such groups." He said, sounding slightly more eager.

-The Masked Man/Azrael-

The Masked Man started to walk through the Rebel Base, then he had a thought re-occur to him about what he could do: He had been tracking a strange, but intense power in the region for a while now. This power was...familiar, but he could not place it just yet, but searching for its origin would give him something to do, so he opened a Demonic Portal to the last known location of this source of power: A small apartment which witnesses reported had intense lights coming from the windows in the top floor, then they ceased. Entering the Portal, he stood outside said apartment, gazing upon it for a while as he contemplated. "Who could it be...maybe....pfft, no. Impossible." He dismissed the very thought, then he stepped towards the door and opened it, closed it behind him and began ascending the stairwell, heading all the way towards the Top Floor of the Apartment.

"Floor 8, Room 13...ah!" He said quietly as he walked to the door, already he could sense traces of the power, then he grasped the knob of the door and twisted it, pushing the door open and passing into the Room: It was simple enough with basic furniture and a simple layout...aside from the obvious traces of this power...well, obvious to a Demon God like him. He stood in the middle of the room and focused. "Now then...reveal your secrets..." He uttered in a distorted voice, which sent a pulse of Demonic Energy through the room, scanning the entire room for the Power. This ability was not subtle however, so if the source of the power was nearby, they would surely detect him. All the better.

Allitt

Noticing a loud noise just outside her door, followed by a quiet, pained response, Allitt decided to go and find out what was going on. She opened her door, and saw the girl that had been with her brother now lying on the ground. She'd heard her brother shout at the girl, but had no clue as to what had happened. She decided to help pick the girl up, and gave her all of her dropped items. "Uh... hey. I'm not really sure what all went on, or what your relation to my brother is... But still, sorry about what just happened. He's... never really been the nicest guy around other people." The woman did sound concerned, both for Victoria and for her brother. "I'm not even sure how you would have managed to talk him into spending time with you, that's really not like him at all..." She was clearly a little confused. She knew that her brother was far from a social person. "Anyway... Again, I'm sorry about his response. He's... had a rough life." She quickly explained, not wanting to delve too far into his history without his permission.

Fiora

Fiora listened carefully to Eclaire's questions, and responded immediately. "The man was on our side, though I don't believe he was a member of the rebellion. He certainly wasn't an enemy, though." She took a moment to think back on the battle and see if she could remember the young girl's name. She was still a little dizzy, which didn't help, but she did eventually recall it. "I believe that the soldier called her Chrysalis, ma'am." Fiora responded. She didn't quite understand what Eclaire had mentioned being a potential concern, but she hoped that the commander's prediction was false. After the woman had explained a bit more about herself, Jadis seemed to get angered by the knowledge that the commander was the reason that she wasn't feeling well. "Jadis, I'm fine. She wasn't quite able to control herself, so I don't blame her for it. You can trust her, she's a great leader." Fiora assured the elf, and turned down the potion. "Save that for someone else who needs it more than I do. I'll be better soon."

After speaking with the elf, she addressed Eclaire once again. "If you would like me to train him, I would gladly do so. I have yet to see him fight, but I can tell that he's determined. I promise that he'll be a great warrior, ma'am." She spoke in a more confident voice, as she was finally beginning to recover. She got back up on her feet and managed to keep her balance. "Now then... Jadis, sorry, but it sounds like you'll need to step out for a moment if the commander needs me for something. There's no need to worry about me, I'll make sure to come see you as soon as I'm dismissed. I promise." She smiled at the elf, hoping that would allow him to calm down a bit. She then faced Eclaire. "I'm ready whenever you are." Her confident tone returned.

-Rufus Contralto-

~still earlier~

The bushy-haired man knitted his brows and nodded in agreement, knowing Zanza's situation only too well.  Korben's executions was how he lost Eren --  for petty crimes and his status as a magician -- and the main reason why he took such an affront towards the imperials and the rebels alike.  The Rebellion was organised and large enough to save more than a few people, especially when one of their key orchestrators was alongside Eren, in line for a horrible, grisly death.

"A cause of our own . . . a rally.  A strong and sound argument this is, but precious little time lies available before the airship docks.  I've a solution with this in mind, though chances be there that thou would not like it:  we recruit Zeg the Butcher, an . . . acquaintance of mine.  He resides here for the now."

Zeg the Butcher was a decorated villain at heart and, for those that confronted him, hardly a scoundrel to be trusted.  His Tanzanite-infused blood boiled with a passion for murder, but burning within his eyes lay a love greater than that of the thrill of death:  avarice.  He loved the clink of two coins against each other, and hoarded the money he stole and looted in various caches.  The truth of this was never known publicly, but one time a cache was stumbled upon by the resident of the land it was on, who selflessly distributed the wealth to his neighbors and family.  Zeg, true to his name, butchered them all to reclaim the lost coins, and people near and far clamoured that the trove was cursed by that of an age-old evil.

~Cobica & Vortludo~

"Sure, I like walks." Cobica said, getting up from his seat, when quite a pretty young lady approached Vortludo. 'Is it the mustache that makes them all love him so much?' He thought to himself before realizing Yevgeni's immediate reaction of drawing a blade. "Whoa, what the hell did I miss? Sure Vortludo isn't the best choice for a lover out of the three of us, but who are we to judge?" He said, his sarcastic and demeaning nature coming through loud and clear. Vortludo slowly got up from his seat, and waved to Yev.

"Peace my friend. Who am I to refuse a pleasant talk?" Vortludo began to say, looking the woman up and down. She had been the one to turn them in... But he was one for forgiveness. Forgiveness was, after all, the first step towards redemption. And Vortludo was not about to refuse a fellow denizen of the world the right to redemption. "Yev, please, allow me to speak with her. I am a man, I can handle myself with her alone. And worst comes to worst, I shall be sure to vanish away, like smoke into the sky. Besides, a private chat between us should not come between your morning walk yes?"

"I'm still a little confused, but sounds good to me." Cobica said, walking towards the door. "Best of luck Vort! Don't die!" He called as he exited.

~Neena~

"Live a little?" Neena scoffed. She spat a bit of blood out of her mouth to the side. The butt of a pistol was no joke. "This is my life. All I've done has led up to this quest. Maybe you can bare to end a life for the simple clink of coin in your purse, but I do it for a higher reason. Ending you will bring this world one step closer to the salvation it deserves." She spoke, ending her little monologue before moving again. She rushed forwards again, feinting a horizontal slice, but vanished into a dark portal before she came close to him. Neena appeared above him, her bow nocked, and fired one, two, three arrows right at Lucius' back. The Zealot landed and rolled to her feet, and pointed her off hand towards him, several blades of light materializing and firing towards him. She muttered something, then punched the ground. A dome of about 10 yards across was created around them, assuring no citizens would be harmed by any kind of crossfire.

~Rija~

Rija struggled to her feet without Korben's help. She looked at him, then saluted. "Yes sir." She said quietly. What he said was certainly true... And there was not much to say in reply. "Now, where were we headed?" She asked, moving away from the bruised wall, to the other side of Maxis.

~The Doctor~

And complete. Fully functional serum. The Doctor smiled slightly as he took the two batches and left his lab, moving down the corridor. His animals awoke with a start, still tired from their trip outside of the capital. They began to follow. The serum worked perfectly, enhancing the user's speed, strength, dexterity, precision, stamina, and durability to tanzynite levels without using dangerously unsafe tanzynite compounds, instead creating a whole new chemical. Verstand he would call it. He hadn't named something after himself in months after all, it was about time. Of course there was one minor hiccup. The serum required the host to be magically empowered or an elf for it to work. Knowing a spell or two wouldn't cut it either, they had to be a fully trained mage. The frequent use of a large variety of magic cultivated an enzyme to be produced that basically ate dangerous proteins created within the user's body by magic. Elves naturally had high amounts of this in their body, which helped to explain why magic came easier to them, their body could actually handle it without years of training. Of course, there were other biological factors that also affected magic, but they did not matter when it came to the serum. No, the serum just required this enzyme to break down a similar protein created by the serum. The Doctor reached Gabriel's lab. "Gabe, it is finished." He said, but then realized he was speaking to an empty room. "Oh. You are not here. Oh well, I'll tell you later. Might as well load these up into the suits in the meanwhile." He said, accessing Gabriel's lab's controls using his own datapad. He summoned the suits, and let the glass case fall away. The Doctor opened up the injecting mechanism of the suits, and inserted a batch of the serum into each. Perfect. They were now fully functional. Probably. At least the serum worked. The Doctor dismissed the suits, and they fell back into the floor.

- Mikhail Crad -

"Mostly money on the bet." Mikhail sad with a witty smile as he started to get into the transport, as he sat down with his swords on his back, "Although if any of you got any interesting ideas for a bet, im all ears, anything that can keep things interesting, although money works...very well in fact." Mikhail explained.

- Maxis "Prime" -

"Hate to make a comment just to ruin the mood, but Derik didn't look that amazingly legendary as some say, not that I heard any legends in fact this is the first time i've ever heard the name Derik Absolon, normally all rumors are just rumors, moot, with no base or fact, can't trust those things" Maxis said shaking his head as he did not flinch, or even move as Rija was slammed against the wall, well, she asked for it anyway.

He stood beside Rija, "Ready when you are" he said.

- Henry Hansees -

Ahhhh the Gaia's tragedy, the strongest drink of the capital of Langerdon, expensive to boot but just as strong as people said it was, it consisted of a light purple drink, refined, transparent, with two ice blocks floating in it, the drink had to be made and be left alone for at least two days before it was fully ready, many bars and restaurants kept some in storage, ready, extremely hard to make, and hard to maintain, explains the price.

"Thank you." Henry thanked the attendant as he grabbed the glass, and began to drink, soon enough he drunk the whole thing in one gulp, the drink that could possibly knock superhumans off their feet, was gulped down in less than three seconds by Henry, "Thats the stuff." he said, satisfied as he stopped feeling the discomfort in his bones.

But relaxation ended as someone drew a sword on a woman, prompting Henry to turn around to look at them with a serious look, as his eyes unconciously began to glow a red-ish orange color for a second as he watched the scene, soon turning back to their usual color, a man, who looked like a noble had dealt with the situation as Henry decided it wasn't worth worrying about them as he turned back to his table.

- Gabriel Stross -

"Drone down." The suit spoke as he lost the drone's feed, damn, he soon shrugged, whatever it was, hopefully didn't come back to bite them in the ass, as his camera feed on his helmet's visor booted up showing the earlier break in of Derik, and the man's threats, and a whole balcony being destroyed, which prompted Gabriel to sigh as he pressed a button "Builder bots sent" the Ai confirmed as Gabriel sat back to relax some more.

However he was soon approached by someone, none other than Yltriss herself, which prompted Gabriel to snap and look at her, almost startled by the sudden approach, "Hey there Yltriss...I knew you wouldn't be able to resist." Gabriel's Ai spoke with a tone almost of glee and happiness, as Gabriel was confused at that, but he had no choice now, since his Ai would speak without his concern anyway.

"So, what brings you here? since you came with a bodyguard, it must be something important!" The Ai asked, as Gabriel actually agreed with what it said, "Also you look beautiful today, thats whats Gabe's thinking." and that just blew it, Gabriel blushed under his armor as he was embarrassed, "Oops, I don't think I was supposed to say that...sorry Gabe." the Ai apologized, with an extremely fake tone. Gabriel frowned bellow his armor as he looked at Yltriss.

- Oryx and Dex -

Things were calm after the meeting, two days ago, they set up a plan, and what each would do if a battle did ensue between the empire and the Rebellion, which chances were high of that happening, right now however. Dex was walking around the streets of the city, chatting with Oryx in his mind.

However Oryx felt a sensation, back at the apartment, where he stood for a long time, traces of his power were left, even though extremely small, it was quite large for his standards, unprofessional and he did not like it, not Dex's fault but his own, he felt someone speak, a familiar voice, as he was connected to very trace of his power in the whole worlds and could see through any at will.

"I will be back, take care of yourself Dex" Oryx said as Dex shrugged and kept on walking.

Soon enough, the room where Azrael was standing began to warp to an outer dimension, or rather, go to an outer dimension entirely, the walls and windows were no longer visible, only an empty void, however the door of the apartment was still there, allowing Az to leave at any moment.

After a few moments allowing Azrael to get a bear of his surroundings, no doubt he'd start to feel Oryx's power, the taken void power, getting bigger and bigger as Oryx normal form, non-shade, his REAL form, appeared in a burst of grey-ish white flames from the invisible ground.

his normal form height was twice as much as Azrael in his human form, mostly because Oryx didn't really enjoy size all that much, Oryx soon let out a chuckle, "I can't believe my eyes. Azrael...the embodiment of chaos himself, walks at my door?! what brings you here...old friend." Oryx spoke in a low but powerful tone, his normal tone to be exact. surprised to see such an old demon, much like himself, find him.

"I see you've been helping the rebellion, I thought the embodiment of chaos didn't like to take sides..."

Meanwhile Dex walked down and alley and onto the street,  where he noticed two people fighting, a cowboy...of sorts and a ninja, managing to walk in close, just to comment on the occurence, the dome was made but he was already inside of it, "What the f*ck is going on here?" Dex asked aloud, not caring in the slightest if they posed a threat to him or not, or even if they'd attack.  "Why is there a Cowboy, and Ninja elf fighting?! this is news to me..."
