Vaude 536 Posted November 2, 2015 (These goddesses put Etro to shame in terms of being chaotic deities. =/ ) -Rufus Contralto- Rufus was entirely clueless as to what was around him until the others pointed it out, the destruction and mayhem caused by the shimmering tears of an angelic child. It must have been the overwhelming sensations of fighting alongside and against dangerously powerful individuals as a novice that caused this oversight, but now that he felt and saw the embers torching the village he felt the inclination to assist. He knew, however, that he would have to let down Fiora and Jadis in their desire to have him join the bolstering Resistance. While they were trustworthy, he did not trust one whom was among the Resistance's elite, and the icy cold he felt towards that one helped him. With a look of disgust at opening up his kerchief, he put his kerchief over his mouth, rushed toward the nearest building he can find, and thrust a narrow strip of snow in front of him towards its door with an open hand. The snow quickly blasted the door inward and diffused to water upon striking the rapid combustion of the backdraft from the new opening. With this much water helping him quench the flames, he searched for survivors in the wreckage piled around him. -Yltriss Hyulli- While she was frustrated with Peashy's quick escape through the laboratory's exit, she maintained a smile as she looked over to Gabriel. "I was meaning to speak to you about those abominations that are running amok and those weaponised electric weaponry that you were going to use against them on the 'off-chance' that they would escape, but everything seems to be in order--" She was cut off by an explosive concussive noise emanating from the holodisc's dome, echoing louder and louder. "Never mind that," she sighed. "Hand me one of those generators, will you? We have a rodent to silence before she becomes a bother to the emperor. Oh, and sorry for the mess I made," she added with a wink, moving the earthen pillars back into the ground from whence they came; such was fixable, but the shattered glass beakers and punctured steel pipes her rocks flew into certainly were not. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) ~Cobica~ "Oh great, we managed to bring in another divine loser." The doors opened behind Eclaire, Yevgeni, and the Masked Man. Cobica stepped out, his casual swagger as evident as always. "I swear, every other person in this organization is a god, or angel, or angel God." Cobica said, glancing Yevgeni up and down. "Never mind, I take it back, else I'd be a hypocrite. Half breed are ya? We gotta stick together. After all, never know when mommy or daddy will get tired of us and just toss us out the window like a fast food bag." His words were sharp, but seemed to strike a vein even as he said them. Cobica's eyes looked to the Masked Man. "Ooh, and a full blooded demon. Wonderful. I guess I was complaining about the overpopulation of holy power in the Order, but I'm not sure I want it to be balanced out by filth like you." Cobica said like he had a grudge. ~The Crow's Eyes A~ "Hurry the hell up, it's hot in here." Kol swore at Lan as fanned her face. It's a question of how many I can take down in one shot. That tank though... It would take a lot more than that." Die nodded at Scherp's response, like it was what he was expecting. "Naja, are you close?" "Starting download now." She whispered, having slipped a drive into a deserted office computer. She hit a few keys and began copying security details onto it. Invisibility rippled over her as she maintained her Chameleon activation. "Alright, Scherp, let's keep it up. With each shot, take down another. If I shoot at a shielded guard, eliminate the drone." He said, beginning the combo with a clean shot at an unshielded guard nearby. True to the request, another one fell immediately. "Got it chief." The sniper called. Die began to vault from cover to cover, staying on the move in attempts to evade the spider tank's targeting system, occasionally letting off a shot from his pistol. The Serial Killer said, lunging forward with a new blade of ice. He could have anticipated this. It did make sense that such wondrous strength could not be his so easily. He sliced upwards with a second sword, then threw them both at his opponent. After this, he switched suits into Nyx, and vanished into shadow. He reappeared behind Brooklyn and sent small blunt dark pebbles shooting towards Brooklyn at high speeds. Edited November 3, 2015 by Emerald Sustrai

Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted November 5, 2015 ~Ryonne and Viridem~Viridem shot daggers towards Mikhail. She did like the witcher and his attitude, but there was one thing she never tolerated. "My name is Viridem." She corrected loudly. Ryonne scoffed at her pettiness."Down girl." He muttered. She quickly turned to glare at him, and not getting the reaction she wanted, crushed his toes with her boot. Ryonne bit his lip hard, but still said nothing, his eyes lighting up in defiance. Viridem shook her head in disappointment, then looked to Slade."Well, Eclaire assigned us to go to the capital. Ryonne wants us to go by ourselves, so that we don't risk any troops." At this, she glanced back to Ryonne, who still seemed very much in pain. "But I'm sure he'd be fine if we brought you guys with us."~Rija~Rija smiled towards Shinobi. She bent down to stretch as she continued the conversation. "Why, do you find me attractive?" Rija asked, always trying to get some hints on her friends gender. Not that this particular answer would likely help, Shinobi was bi. Rija reached her hands towards the ceiling, and cracked her back. "Anyway, I was just about to check in with Korben, make sure he didn't have anything he desperately needed me to do. Wanna come?" She asked. -Uzume- (Thanks Gabriel Korben's gonna be mad as at you for this haha ) As Uzume was tackled by korben within moments Uzume's soundwave barrier couldn't take anymore & needed it enter it's recover phase & at the same time Gabriel had put up a dome sealing both Korben & Uzume within it like he did with Peashy. Uzume didn't seem to care much about the dome stopping her from escaping, in fact she still showed a joyful look on her face as tho she was pleased to see it. "MA HA! thanks guy" said Uzume with joy as she then transformed again into her 2nd goddess form without a second thought. Uzume's body glowed bright orange before the brightness shattered away revealing Uzume but she was different looking now. There were strange Orange patterns glowing as they covered all of Peashy's body & 2 mini boomboxes floated around her. "Korby...BACK OFF!!!" yelled Uzume with joy as the 2 mini boomboxes blasted Korben with powerful sound waves that managed to just push him off of her allowing her to fly to the top of the dome. "Thanks to this domy thingy my sound waves are even stronger cause they can bounce off the dome MA HA!" yelled Uzume with joy as she held up a single finger near her right cheek "Now...what did you say to me Korby?...oh that's right MA HA!" said Uzume with joy as then korben's voice from before could be heard echoing throughout the dome over & over until the sound started to form into a sound wave ball of compressed sounds. "You can take it back Korby" said Uzume with joy as she then let the sound wave ball explode near her face creating a massive exploding sound wave of Korben's voice which continually hit everything within the dome & continued to do so as the sound waves kept on bouncing off of the domes walls over & over. Uzume however wasn't taking any damage thanks to her boomboxes redirecting the waves. -Emperor Korben- Uzume's annoying voice was bad enough, but amplified to damaging soundwaves was like Hell had consumed their world and made them suffer for eternity and beyond. Korben however managed to ignore the assault on his ears and self as best he could and charged at Uzume again, grabbing the false Goddess and hurling her into the ground, then diving towards her with both feet extended at hyper-fast speeds towards her ribs, even charging his feet with Darkness to create a shockwave upon landing. A highly damaging, corrupting shockwave. -Slade Joseph Wilson- Slade was amused by the events occurring before him with Ryonne and Viridem, then cleared his throat and puffed his Cigar again upon their offer to take him and Mikhail with them. "If Mikhail has no problem with it, I shall accompany you with him." He told them, then put out his Cigar on his left hand and threw it away, taking his Helmet off of its holder on his waist and putting it back upon his head. -Ayane Takahashi "Shinobi"- Shinobi scoffed a little. "It is no question that I find you attractive, Rija. Problem being that I have no chance with you even the slightest, and that's not because of ambiguity." She gested, stretching a little herself. "Korben? Ahh, I'm sure he's fine, but I'll come with!" Shinobi answered, running to the door in a blink of an eye and held open the door courteously for her friend. "On no, there's no time to redirect it, better try this then" thought Uzume as she could see the intensity in his attack & quickly acted by quickly moving both of her boomboxes to her left side & sent a powerful soundwave at herself that sent her smashing into the side of the dome "Ouchy!" yelled Uzume as she hit the dome to avoid Korben's attack. Uzume had caused herself some damage but avoided taking much more. As Korben strikes the floor with his attack he sent a shockwave that corrupted the soundwaves that were continually damaging him over & over, stopping that flow of attacks. Uzume got up flying until she was in the middle of the dome "I can feel my strength leaving me, I won't be able to stay in my 2nd form for much longer thanks to my body taking on those intense shocks...darn you Korben, I better finish this right now with my final attack" thought Uzume as she stared at Korben joyfully. "OOOOOOkay Korby! It's been fun but I'm done fighting you MA HA!" said Uzume joyfully as the sound from Korben striking the floor from before could be heard echoing throughout the dome over & over until the sound started to form into 2 massive soundwave balls of compressed sounds, 1 in each of Uzume hands. Then both of Uzume's boomboxes started to sent powerful soundwaves into both of the ever growing soundwave balls in Uzume's hands "This move will sent you bye bye Korby, NOW GO AWAY!!!" screamed Uzume as she then smashed both the soundwave balls into each other exploding them both. The soundwaves from this attack destroys sound, taste, touch, sight, smell & deals massive damage & thanks to the dome holding this attack in the explosion just kept on getting bigger & bigger expanding the dome itself dealing x2 damage. For those on the outside of the dome looking in it looks like just a massive white light covering everything inside the dome. After 10 mins Uzume's final attack finally calmed down leaving heaps of dust blowing around alot within the dome "Haa, haa, did...did I kill him? Is he dead?" said Uzume as she was now in her human form holding her right arm barely standing. -Croire- "Hmm...I wonder where those rebels went to?...hm!" said Croire as she wondered about until she saw the burning village of Rhasolvich. "YEAH! Now there's some fun! HAHA!" yelled Croire with excitement as she then warp'd herself near the village to get a better look. "Hm...looks like most the people have run away to safety, how sad I wouldn't get to play around with them...wait a sec! who's that?" said Croire as she could then see someone in the distance not to far away from her (Rufus). Croire then warp'd herself closer to appear hovering about just behind him "Whatcha doing dude?" said Croire curious to know. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted November 7, 2015 -The One. the Only. Jeremy Hunter.- "Do you ever stop being an arrogant self centred prick, Cobica, or do you just enjoy it?" Sitting on some crates nearbye, eating some form of fruit, was Jeremy Motherfiretrucking Hunter. He got up and threw the now-devoured fruit remains to the side, hands going to his pockets as he approached Eclaire and her merry band of misfits. "You called, Clary?" He asked. Only he seemed to get away with calling her that. There was more to them then most did think. He looked around, then at Azrael. "And a demon. Fun." Eclaire rolled her eyes. "Just go get me the intel on all major citadels for my soldiers, lest Cobica decide to become a bigger pain in the ass and Jeremy decides he has to act on angelic urges." "The only angelic urge I'd act on is Tiriel, Clary." He said. "If Teresa was okay with me actually dating people." He winced and touched a small comm unit in his ear. "Hey, I know I was - Oh. Wait so you are...STOP SENDING ME MIXED SIGNALS." He took a deep breath and leaned back..right against Tiriel. "Hey Tiri. Fancy meeting the personification of divine retribution. 'Sup with you?" Tiriel looked down. "...Goddess of Light, tell me again why...yes that's right, he has one of the few nonaffiliated flying dreadnoughts in the world." "And she has a new paintjob." -Eclaire- She summoned a gun and shot into the air. "Okay enough. All of you. Cobica, what do you need? Jeremy, thank you for coming to help. Tiriel, do not kill Jeremy." "HEY!" "Or sleep with him." "HEY!" Now Jeremy protested. Eclaire ignored them both. "Yevgeni, please find all the others who with you brought with you. I think you all know each other best, ironicly enough. You would work best with them. I currently have plans in motion to help us go forward and be able to stand up to the empire with greater effect, but I need all the soldiers I can get my hands on. If you are up for insane suicidal missions, well. That is what the Order of Lux does best. Also, if your cohorts found other groups to go with...find people. I don't need perfect teams. I need noise. Enough noise and destruction to drag the Empire away from Langerdon." She again looked at the demon. "That is why I need the interl. If you would." -Tiriel- She did not touch Jeremy. She might throttle him, trying to remove him from her body. But the Goddess said...and he wasn't being overly rude or disrespectful...more... Annoying as firetruck. Shulk 8,623 Posted November 7, 2015 Indy Caelum The more cruel member of the infamous Caelum Twins had spent his day patrolling city streets, keeping an eye out for any potential threats to the Empire. He kept his sword unsheathed in his hand, a clear warning to those around him that he wasn't just a tourist. Up to this point, he hadn't found a reason to kill anyone. As a result, the patrol had been rather boring for him. He observed the townspeople he passed by, hoping that one of them would try to battle him. Of course, he knew they wouldn't last very long. He'd probably eliminate them instantly, unless they were one of those troublesome warriors from the Rebellion. Unfortunately, everyone seemed to simply cower as he walked past them. At this point, he'd settle for listening to his sister go on about whatever cool new technique she'd mastered. Remembering his sister, he began to wonder how her mission was going. Hopefully she's found something of interest by now... He sighed, and continued on his way. Maybe it was time to head back to base. (I kept his location vague since I really don't know where most people are at the moment... Feel free to have someone jump at him or something like that.) Allitt Allitt, on the other hand, did manage to find something interesting. An entire city that seemed to be burning to the ground caught her attention. "This is Rhasolvich, isn't it? Looks like I missed a big fight... I suppose I should go ahead and clean up." She smirked, hoping that there would be a rebel here for her to battle. She ran over to the town and drew her sword, keeping it at her side for now. "Anyone here?" She called out, hoping for a response. She continued making her way through the burning town, shouting the same question over and over. Of course, she had no clue if there were any rebels here, but if she was lucky, she might end up running into one.

Rufus hardly heard Croire in the blazing sauna, but upon hearing and seeing her behind him he gasped, scooped her up (levitating or not) in his hands, and ran out of the burning building before tossing her in the snow. "One behind me, but only celestials know how many there are left in yon inferno! Uncharred youthlike fae, speak! How many more lie amongst the structure's embers?" he uttered, out of breath from his words being too close together and perhaps wild-eyed. It confused him as to why she was not burned, not to mention so very small. Edited November 8, 2015 by Vaude

Is he dead?" said Uzume as she was now in her human form holding her right arm barely standing.. -Emperor Korben- Uzume was not a pushover, but she foolishly expended her power and hurled her full might at an unwavering Korben, not weakened if only somewhat miffed by this event. He did however have to brace himself for her next attack, which appeared to be a final, coup de grace, on someone who had hardly been touched, by focusing his power and energy to strengthen his defense as her destructive attack enveloped him and the dome in an explosive, brilliant light, for at least 10 minutes, ravaging the contained landscape surrounding them, damaging them both however, yet Korben did not relent. The attack finally settled down....the dust obscured Korben from view while Uzume was Human, weakened and vulnerable.... Through the dusty shroud, two flashes of blue flame told Uzume all she needed to know: Korben was alive and well. The angered Emperor expelled a Telekinetic Force all around him to immediately clear the dust and stumble Uzume, then he cracked his neck. "You should not have done that...." With this, Korben extended one hand to the ground, creating a seeping Portal of Darkness on the ground, with tendrils and dark mist oozing from its chaotic center, into which Korben reached into with the same hand and pulled out his large Blade: Darkmourne, to signify this was the end for the "Goddess". Without a word, Korben immediately flash-stepped to Uzume and slashed his Sword at her repeatedly in a massive flurry of strikes, all heavy-hitting and somewhat stylish, with his sword also damaging the Ground around him and Uzume due to the ferocity of his assault and his unstoppable rage, then he ended it with a kick to knock her down and with his free hand, unleashed a torrent of Dark Lightning from his fingers. -Azrael/Masked Man- Upon hearing her instructions and then berating of certain Rebellion members, The Masked Man chuckled silently and bowed respectfully. "Then my services are yours, Eclaire. I shall perform reconnaissance on the Bases and Citadels of the Empire. I will not fail you. You have my word." He finished, then prepared to leave, but stopped to look at Cobica, who clearly had a big mouth, then spoke: "You are half Demon yourself, boy. Do not deny your heritage. I honestly do not care what you think of me, but you will do well to watch your tongue." Masked Man warned, then left through a Demonic Portal into the Main Citadel of the Empire. -Zanza Quinn- Sitting in his home, typing on a computer, Zanza Quinn was busy with his work and research on the Empire, The Order and other things like Demons, Angels, Tanzynite and miscellaneous subjects, without his jacket on showing he wears a blue t-shirt with short sleeves underneath it. He had intercepted communications between Members of the Order along with Members of the Empire to keep track of what they do, but he also keeps an eye on the Criminals below just in case something goes down between them and the other major parties. "So little going on right now...bored as hell..." "Why...d-d..." "Ignoring him~" He then stood up and walked to his Coat, put it on and fastened the buttons, then took his sword and Teleported out of his house in Kaipora, a more neutral territory that has the Empire annoyed, but they will take it eventually, and took out his sword and cut the air, opening a Portal to his destination: Rhasolvich, then stepped into it. Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted November 8, 2015 -Jadis- The steel-haired youth ducked under a fallen beam and continued to make his way through the village, seeing that several of his companions were closely in tow. He was determined to get to Mara before it was too late. He'd already lost so much; there was no way he could endure another loss, especially not when he was so close to saving her. People roamed the streets, many shouting and trying to get to safety from the burning rubble and destruction. The cobblestone path was now clear from the melted snow, though it did make the tread a bit more slick than it had been previously. Jadis had lost his balance and nearly fallen twice, but he didn't let that slow down his small frame. Finally he managed to make it to the building he desired: a small two-story building, its entire upper floor engulfed in flames. The entire building threatened to collapse at any moment, yet that didn't stop Jadis from making his way to the window, smashing it open with the end of his bow before climbing in. He turned back to shoot a glance apologetically at Fiora and Henry. "Mara nearly gave up her life to save me, and now I have to return the favor." -Yevgeni- The newcomer snatched Yevgeni's gaze from Eclair and onto him, a half-breed who clearly pronounced himself to be such. The first words uttered from his mouth were degrading, and particularly derogatory towards the blond. A frown creased his brow before he opened his mouth to retort. "Well, excuse me for being a bit more 'divine trash' added to your arsenal. Just who are you, anyway? You know nothing about me. I'm nothing like you people." Of course Yev didn't elaborate on his differences, since he wasn't altogether certain that Eclaire or her comrades would exactly approve of his tanzynite usage just yet. Until it saved their necks, at any rate. Yev raised a brow as Jeremy arrived at the scene, seemingly another half-breed. It surprised Yevgeni to know that so many like him existed; growing up he was strange and the only one. Eclaire continued to give Jeremy an earful for a time, causing Yev's eyebrows to raise ever higher as they stated rather personal affairs out in the open. He was almost ready to excuse himself when Eclaire finally turned to him and made her request, to which Yev nodded, brushing stray bangs from his face. "If noise is what you want, it will certainly be noise that you receive. I'll go speak with the others, if I may have your permission to just, er, go on inside?" He gestured toward the castle as he started to take a step to it, pausing before Cobica. He looked at him down his nose, as though disgusted with his very appearance. "I suppose we are allies now," he said simply. (Will post for Ari shortly after I hear from Sabre. Sorry, Plutia.)
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted November 8, 2015 -Chrysalis- The men around her, the whips...the threats...but the mention of Ariana's tight body did make her flinch. Puberty onsetting was a bad thing in a girl pumped with drugs and all sorts of chemicals...but that overwhelming mixture of puberty, Tanzynite, fear...and love...all of made made her confused on everything but one thing. Ariana was in danger. Mean girl was threatening her. Guards couldn't move but couldn't be incapacitated peacefully. She stood and moved in front of Plutia, and raised her hands. Power building, she shook in fear. "L-leave mommy alone! I-I won't let you hurt her! Go away!" She cried out, before one of the guards flinched. Suddenly bolts of light blasted out from her, incinerating each guard's head within seconds. Chrysalis shook worse before Plutia, chest heaving from her breath. "Leave. Mommy. Alone." Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) (Gives me time to have Maxis interfere with Plutia's plan) - Gabriel Stross - Gabriel could only turn off the dome as Korben began to go all out on Uzume, frankly, Gabriel was more worried about the damage done to his lab more than the goddess's life, he hated these goddesses, he turned to Yltriss and brought a hand to his chin, it was true, he was indeed working on electric weaponry for use against the abominations, mostly failed tanzynite tests turned mutants, they were mostly weak to electricity, as long as they had a nervous system, they would feel electricity and be paralyzed by it nonetheless. It was then his terminal shot up, with guards shooting themselves, something of which Gabriel could only think 'Plutia' he frowned under his mask as he walked over to the terminal and pressed a few buttons, soon enough, he had tapped into the imperial soldier's mandatory peacemakers in their hearts, not for any heart issues mind you, but in the off chance they went rogue, they'd get knocked out by a small burst of electricity right into their hearts, tapping into every soldier that was hyptonized didn't take more than three minutes, thanks to having a supecomputer and being able to control technology, with one press of a button, the soldiers who were fighting amongst themselves all were knocked unconciouss by their peacemakers, their heart rates resembling those in an unconciouss state, and they were all unconciouss. One thing to note is that this feature, was NOT in the terminal, or in any empire's computer, for safety measures, Gabriel had memorized the entire 40 bloody line of code to do the damn thing happen, no security system, nothing, it was just plain machine wizardry from his part. Turning around, glancing at Korben and at Yltriss. "My lab..." his Ai said as Gabriel looked down. - Maxis "Prime" - "Actually you didn't plan very well" Said Maxis coming off his cloak, only to watch all guards getting incinerated, which made him laugh, "Well I didn't need to be here at all did I? had a plan to take out the guards and all but what the hell..." he said walking in, nonchalantly as he looked at Chrys,Arianna and the woman whose name was Plutia, "Hey...yeah I don't know your name...don't really care either, oh well, also, news flash the engineer took the guards out, you missed out on the memo that all imperial soldiers were supposed to get peacemakers implanted in their hearts didn't you? oh well." Maxis joked as he showed a small hologram of all guards previously alerted harmlessly unconciouss. "Aright, two questions, who the firetruck are you and... Ariana when did you adopt Chrysalis?" He asked the women. - Henry Hansees - While Henry kept a good pace following Jadis around, he couldn't help but crash against most obstables Jadis managed to slip past, of course this didn't slow Henry down one bit, Henry was tough, tougher than a boulder even, this wouldn't do anything to him, they soon came upon a house on fire, probably mara's, the thought was soon confirmed as Jadis smashed through the door. "Go for it, i'l hold this building in place" he said as he placed his hand in the wall beside the door, as dreadrocks began to generate around the house's weakest areas, inside, outside, making sure the house would not collapse, even with the intense flames, he glanced at Fiora, "Think you can do anything?" he asked. - Mikhail Crad - "Great, teams's settled, Grumpy witcher." he said pointing at himself, "Foul mouthed green head, professional assassin and the swordsman." Mikhail said with a chuckle, before he stopped for a second, "She just wants us to break stuff there and cause a distraction? thats it?" he asked. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted November 8, 2015 ~Cobica~ "Of course I enjoy, it's one of my many talents." Cobica replied to Jeremy, not missing a beat from the taunt. He looked back to Eclaire, who was just now asking him what his purpose was. The Half-Breed shrugged. "Well, I heard you had this big meeting where you outlined a bunch of stuff for people to do. Just wanted to know what you specifically had for me. And really, I know I'm great at guarding the base, but I'd prefer to get out of the house this time around." He didn't let his eyes leave Eclaire as he called back to the departing Masked Man. "I specified full-blooded! Half bloods are a lot of fun, they really know how to party!" Cobica shouted to the demon. Finally, Yev moved over towards him on his way to the door. Cobica didn't back down, but rather matched the half-Angel's glare. "Ah, come now, and here I was thinking we could be buds." Cobica began to smile. "I know some nice places in Langerdon, way better than the girls on Jeremy's pitiful ship. But I guess you're just too high and mighty for things like that huh?" ~Ryonne & Viridem~ "Sounds about right." Viridem said with a nod towards Mikhail. "Steal stuff too." Ryonne added to Mikhail's list of jobs to do. He turned around, and began to walk away. They did still have to find people that could lead the other distraction forces. ~Rija~ "Thank you," Rija nodded graciously as she exited the room. ~Cyler~ "Kill her? Nah, wasn't interested. I eavesdropped here, found out her name. Then I used this form." Cyler said, switching into Banshee. "And used its super hearing to find her, after which it was just a manner of watching from the shadows until I figured out enough to mimic her." He explained willingly. The Serial Killer then summoned huge blasts of sound, from all around Brooklyn. An attack like this would not be so simple to dodge.
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted November 8, 2015 -Ariana- The dark haired woman shook her head, swinging her legs on the side of the bed before rising. She tilted her head to stretch her neck, eyes closing as she did so. "Maxis, you always have impeccable timing. Chrysalis has been placed under my care for the time being, thank you, no adoption involved. As for that thing"--she jerked her head in the direction of Plutia, reluctant to even look at her--"is Korben's pet goddess, Plutia. Why it is here, I do not even know, but I know one thing is for certain." With that she strolled over to Chrysalis' side, grasping the child firmly by the shoulders before pulling her away from Plutia. Ariana's gaze met Plutia's. Dark circles rested under her eyes, and her thin frame looked even more thin and frail than usual. The fire in her violet irises was still alight, however, and much of her strength still remained. She extended a hand engulfed with shadows and wrapped it around Plutia's neck, her fingers notable digging deep into the goddess's flesh with strength enhanced by her tanzynite. "Listen well, Plutia," she whispered dangerously in her ear. "I don't know who your new master is, nor do I care, but all he's going to get is your head on a pike, along with the rest of your remains carefully bundled in poison. You were a fool to think you could take on Emperor Korben, or me." Her hand tightened, quite likely harming Plutia's windpipe and quite possibly her arteries. -Jadis- The structure was held firmly by Henry, to which Jadis was rather grateful. The mage nodded in appreciation to Henry before disappearing in the cloud of smoke. The warmth of the room distorted everything, the smoke growing ever thicker. Immediately Jadis fell into a fit of coughing, causing him to bring his scarf up to cover his nose and mouth. He wouldn't be able to stand it in there long. The mage conjured a jet of water, taming some of the flames while dampening the hot air. It worked partly, but there was still too much smoke. Carefully Jadis made his way deeper into the house, hoping that Mara was indeed downstairs where Krea and Jadis had left her. As he entered, however, he found the bed in the corner of the room vacant, with a dark figure curled up on the floor in front of a desk. Eyes wide, Jadis lunged, coughing as he grasped the slender woman by the shoulders. She was dark-haired with a youthful visage, perhaps no older than eighteen. Her eyes were closed, her chest still, and yet her body was still warm. Jadis shook her shoulders violently, eyes watering from the smoke stinging them. "Mara!" Jadis cried. "Mara, please, wake up!" In her hand she clutched a piece of parchment, but Jadis was too distraught to really notice. He began to drag Mara out of the room when a beam collapsed, falling before the door in a shower of sparks. "AUGH!" Jadis held up his arm to shield his face, falling back on his bum with Mara on his lap. Flames now engulfed the doorway, the smoke ever stronger as it ate away at the wood. Soon the young mage started to feel woozy, swaying on the spot as his lids grew heavy. He knew that he had to keep fighting if he was going to save their lives, but at this rate even the slightest stamina was too much for him to conjure. -Yevgeni- The blond had started to turn away from Cobica before he again continued to insult him. It was rare that someone decided to match his own tongue, and yet Cobica seemed quite cut out for the fight. Yev jerked his head to face him, the short length of his hair flaring away from his neck. "Pardon, but if you want a bud you don't go calling him divine trash first. I would've thought we could be friends, too, but I don't meddle with scubbas that like to shove others' noses in the dirt for fun. If you still want to say I'm high and mighty, then sure: maybe I am." Finally Yev let out a sigh, shaking his head. What was he thinking? He was brand new to this rebellion--not even a day old--and already he was trying to pick fights with each and every rebellion member that he encountered. Choking back his pride Yevgeni bowed his head, averting his gaze from Cobica. "I, eh, apologize. It would seem that you're trying to befriend me, but you just have a very brash way of doing it. My name is Yevgeni Malachite, and if you aren't going to be busy tomorrow, perhaps we can check out these 'fun places' you mentioned outside of Langerdon. I've been requested to make some noise to attract imperial attention. You seem like just the guy that could help me." He gestured in the direction of the palace. "If you're interested, why don't you come with me back to speak with Vortludo? I'm sure he'd be in on this."
Shulk 8,623 Posted November 9, 2015 Fiora Fiora nodded as Jadis entered the building, then quickly responded to Henry's question. "I don't know how much I can do to help keep the building from collapsing... I can go in and help Jadis, though." Hearing Jadis' sudden scream from within the building only confirmed her current plan of action. "I'll be right back. Make sure nothing happens to the building!" She told Henry, then ran into the opening made by Jadis. Upon entering the building, she instantly wished that she'd been talented with water or ice magic instead of thunder magic. She could barely see anything through the smoke. She kept moving in the direction that she thought she'd heard Jadis' screaming come from, only to find a burning door. He must be back there... She looked around the room, hoping to find something that she could use to get to the other side. Of course, everything seemed to be on fire. She considered using a blast of lightning to destroy the door, but realized that could possibly result in the entire building collapsing, with both herself, Jadis, and Mara still inside. "Jadis! Are you there?" She called out, though even speaking was difficult to do with all of the smoke filling her lungs.
The Unversed 168 Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Rufus hardly heard Croire in the blazing sauna, but upon hearing and seeing her behind him he gasped, scooped her up (levitating or not) in his hands, and ran out of the burning building before tossing her in the snow. -Chrysalis-The men around her, the whips...the threats...but the mention of Ariana's tight body did make her flinch. You were a fool to think you could take on Emperor Korben, or me." Her hand tightened, quite likely harming Plutia's windpipe and quite possibly her arteries. (Sorry the post is big ) -Uzume-Peashy- As Uzume held her right arm barely breathing with her broken body barely standing her eyes widened as could see it, through the dusty shroud Korben was alive & no where near dead "N-no way...just how strong is he?" thought Uzume. After Korben cleared the dust away the look on Uzume's face got seriously angry. As Korben slowly pulled out his large Blade Darkmourne Uzume's mind raced "I-I can't...move my body anymore. I'm sorry Eclaire...I did my part & tried my best, but I feel my time has run out. Well in that case then..." thought Uzume as she breathed in for a moment forcing her body to stand up straight & strong. Uzume then spoke aloud "This is what it's like when hearts collide Korben!!!" yelled Uzume as she was then slashed by his sword repeatedly in a massive flurry of strikes. Uzume didn't once scream while the assault continued holding onto her will to fight. After she was kicked to the floor & struck by dark lightening Uzume lay on the floor bleeding with many cuts & other injuries. Just then a very small book warp'd near her feet & started to absorb her body slowly, Uzume's body begun to turn white like a soul spirit "Grr...ah, I almost forgot. I'm sorry I couldn't keep the promise I made to you Peashy...please forgive me. I may have sold my soul & even my body, & I maybe wondering through Limbo for a long time until my judgement comes...but knowing that I at least saved you once will keep me strong until then...goodbye...Peashy" said Uzume as a single tear runs down her cheek from her left eye showing a small warm smile on her face as her entire body is absorbed into the small book. the small book then warp'd away as quickly as it came. Just as Uzume vanished away it turns out that Peashy had seen the whole battle with Korben & Uzume cause Peashy had come back to Gabriel's lab a while ago after hearing big noises from Gabriel's lab. Peashy was hiding just within the exit door that she escaped through before & after seeing Uzume disappear a single tear ran down her cheek form her left eye even tho Peashy couldn't even remember who Uzume was. Peashy then ran away again before she ran into a guard that miss took her for an enemy & accidentally shoot Peashy to death. -Plutia- After Plutia waited a moment for Ariana to speak, Chrysalis stood in front of her pushing her fear back to face Plutia. After Chrysalis incinerated the heads of the guards that surrounded them Plutia gave a smirk to Chrysalis "Ooow, how sweet. She took the life's of innocent soldiers to protect her mommy...just like Peashy did" said Plutia. That's when Maxis come in the room taunting Plutia. After Maxis showed her the small hologram of all guards previously alerted harmlessly unconscious Plutia just showed a small grin "Well, well...I didn't think we would have a peeping tom spying on us. Your such a naughty boy aren't you Maxis. Thanks for showing me that too handsome, I thought my connection was a little loosened." said Plutia. When Ariana's gaze met Plutia's there was an intense feeling coming from both of them as they each stared into the others dark eyes. As Ariana was choking Plutia's neck Plutia's goddess form time out & transformed back into her human form quickly dying by Ariana choking her to death. -Croire- "So whatcha do--WHA!" screamed Croire as she was then scooped up by Rufus in his hands & then thrown into the snowy ground. Croire got stuck in part of the snow & couldn't get out in time suffocating in the snow & died. Edited November 10, 2015 by The Unversed

Guest Posted November 10, 2015 As all of this is happening. Derik stood in the kitchen of the Rebellion's hide-out, barren as it was. Not even a single jar of butter, what in hell's name? Not even bread? What do these people eat? "Kale, no... rutabaga? No... What the hell?! It's like there's not a single ounce of food in this building aside from like 12 veggies, but without lettuce, what the hell am I suppose to do? A Kale and Rutabaga salad? Hell no!" His yelling continued, beginning to get frustrated, he accidentally broke the fridge door by slamming it, not that it mattered, the air wasn't cold anyway. He sighed, lying the door on the ground with a sticky note. "Sorry about that. I get angry when I'm hungry." He used those. A lot. He wasn't too far off from those kids he took care of before... Nah, they barely had enough to feed themselves when he left, he couldn't dare impose. Where...? Where..? Where.? Where? WHERE!? "DAMN RESISTANCE CAN'T EVEN HAVE A GOD DAMN POTATO!" In his rage, he flew out of the nearest wall, taking out a washing machine with his outburst. A man who only eats one in ten decades needs food when he needs food. Next, one could hear the sound from the northern part of the world to the southern. A scream of rage. Utter fury. Anger beyond all belief. In the capital, the nearest grocery store to his original position had a hole form in it's roof. "Give me." "All of." "YOUR ingredients." "For Spaghetti." "NOW." "Oh, and a potato." http://youtu.be/YTy9v9a7Tmo&autoplay=1 To say the least, half an hour later, Derik came crashing through the same wall that he had crashed through before that someone repaired a little after he left, a bag the size of three Derik's and a potato, a case of butter or two, maybe a few loafs of bread, and a refrigerator slung to his back. The poor man who had repaired the wall cried a little as Derik set down the bag of ingredients, items, so on, and then quickly repaired the wall again. Don't question, I'm witting here! After this, he ripped the old fridge out of the wall, and slid in a brand new Kennymore two door with bottom freezer chest and ice machine and confetti machine. He got a working water line to the base and hooked it to the fridge, and then using his energy magic and deus ex machina human energy to electricity converter and convenient rechargeable battery pack with multi-plugged grounded power strip, and slammed that firetrucker together with the fridge to make it run. Once it chilled, Derik stocked the fridge at break-neck pace, save for leaving out enough ingredients for a army-feeding serving of spaghetti. "Boys, it's time for me to- ...Wait a minute, I can't believe I forgot, I need a chef! I don't know how to cook!" ~Cobica~ "Of course I enjoy, it's one of my many talents." Cobica replied to Jeremy, not missing a beat from the taunt. He looked back to Eclaire, who was just now asking him what his purpose was. The Half-Breed shrugged. Ryonne added to Mikhail's list of jobs to do. He turned around, and began to walk away. They did still have to find people that could lead the other distraction forces. ~Rija~ "Thank you," Rija nodded graciously as she exited the room. ~Cyler~ "Kill her? Nah, wasn't interested. The Serial Killer then summoned huge blasts of sound, from all around Brooklyn. An attack like this would not be so simple to dodge. Sound waves converged around Brooklyn, however, time would have it that he was in a good position still. A portal opened under him, bringing him next to Sandrew. "I would love to stay and chat, but that cry of anger reminds me, there's somewhere I need to be. If we don't go, he's going to find us and drag us there anyway, fate decided that much for us today." Both himself and Sandrew vanished into the Void. Cylar had lost his targets. And then, they appeared, next to Derik, who was calling Sandrew. "I assume we need to help you cook? You made it painfully clear you don't know how to when you thought a wisk was a brain mixer." "Exactly." "Sandy needs a bolt of energy. Got a cup or two?" "Sure." And so, together, the three cooked a magical bowl of super fantastic spaghetti, and met all of my standards.

She made her way over to the source of the sounds, and found the child. Of course, he wasn't the one who interested her. This one was just a child. She thought she had heard someone enter a nearby burning building, and decided to enter to find out if she could potentially find a foe here. She quickly came across a man carrying a handkerchief, seemingly in search for something... or someone. "So, I did find someone else here..." She said as she approached the man. "You certainly look like a warrior. You wouldn't happen to be one of those troublesome rebels, would you?" She asked, displaying her rapier. An excited smile spread across her face as she studied this man. I hope that he can put up a good fight! It's been a while since I had a fun battle. The flames that engulfed the building didn't seem to faze her much, likely due to her abilities related to water and ice. If the building collapsed, she was sure she could get out before she'd get killed.
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted November 10, 2015 -Jadis- A voice could be heard among the crackling flames. A feminine voice. Jadis lifted his head, coughing up a storm, to notice the young woman that he'd met at the market. "Fiora!" he cried, suddenly finding the will to continue. He temporarily placed the unconscious Mara on the ground and moved closer to Fiora, glancing at the burning bolt that barred his exit and Fiora's entry. Nearby he saw Fiora's figure, so close and yet so far. "I'm blocked in!" Dizziness from the carbon dioxide affected him poorly, the smoke being too much for his young lungs. Using magic seemed beyond his capacity now, yet he had to try if either himself or Mara desired to live. The blue-haired mage extended a hand, concentrating and coughing into his scarf as he conjured a jet of water from his palms. It splashed against the burning beam, dying its glowing embers and instead leaving a charred blackened wooden beam in its stead. Jadis fell back, exhausted from his efforts, the ceiling spinning before him. "Please . . . please help, Fiora . . . . " he murmured, voice soft, eyes closing. Beside him was Mara, his dear caretaker. The life had already left her young body minutes, if not hours, ago, and yet Jadis refused to give up on her and save himself. Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted November 10, 2015 -Emperor Korben- Uzume's unusual demise had not satisfied Korben as much as it should have, especially as she was absorbed into a godforsaken book, a Tome of...Meat. More than perturbed, Korben stabbed Darkmourne into the Book upon the ground and within seconds, the dark and corrupting properties of the titanic blade eroded and disintegrated the mocking book, ridding him of any trace of that eyesore. "Gabriel? I'll give you all of the resources needed, but I need you to finish those SPARTAN Suits of yours and get Sahala operational. No doubt someone has fed information to the Order of Lux..." He ordered, then he dismissed his sword back to its dark realm of residence: Dark Hammerspace. He then turned to face the others, seeing quite a bit of damage dealt to the floor of this room of the Citadel of Truth and Reconciliation, along with Ariana, Gabriel and Chrysalis, along with the corpses of Plutia and Peashy. "Guards? Dispose of Plutia and Peashy's bodies. Get them out of my sight." Korben told them, to which they responded promptly and carried off their corpses elsewhere, while Korben walked up to Ariana and Chrysalis. "Ariana....did you end Plutia?" He asked, his voice getting softer as he did. -Azrael/Masked Man- Sneaking around the Citadel of Truth and Reconciliation, The Masked Man stole information from computers, invaded the minds of weak-willed soldiers and looked around for anything of interest as much as he could, until he arrived in the room where the earlier battle had taken place, seeing Sahala and hearing mention of SPARTAN Suits, he had plenty of intel for Eclaire to trust him now. However, it was just this Citadel he had done. "Now for its defenses..." He thought to himself, teleporting outside in a millisecond and giving a surveying look at the Citadel Defenses. "Vulcan Cannons, Long-Range Anti-Vehicle Missile Launchers, Anti-Personnel Lasers, Energy Shields....along with Spider Mechs, Bipedal Mechs, Double-Barreled Tanks, Machine Guns, Highly-Aware Troops, Elite Guards with swords and insane reaction times....someone doesn't want intruders. Good thing I'm not an intruder to him." The Masked Man thought, then he opened a Portal, nodded to a Guard, who nodded back, and entered it, closing it behind him and arriving back at the Rebel Base. -Zanza Quinn- Arriving at his destination, Zanza was mortified. Buildings were burning down, scars on the ground from fierce battle, screaming and dead bodies around the area made it all look like a warzone....how? He rushed into the town and shouted: "Does anyone need help?! Hello?!"
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted November 10, 2015 ~Cobica~ Cobica raised his eyebrows, as if he was surprised by Yevgeni's behavior. This expression of surprise quickly changed back to his characteristic daunting grin. "Nice, sounds great. And Vortludo, love that guy!" He nodded in affirmation of Yev's request. The Half-Breed glanced towards Eclaire again. "Hey, nevermind about that job, I'll chill with this guy! Noise will be made. Lots of it." Cobica called to her as he moved with Yev back to the door. He opened it, and gestured with his hand towards the inside. "After you," Cobica said. This could be very fun. ~Vortludo~ The Noble lurked in his room, surrounded by his various artifacts. He had done much research into all of them, but had yet to unlock all of their secrets. He was also relatively sure that several of them required use by an actual mage to do anything, but considering Vortludo had no such ability, he had simply marked down their physical appearance. He was writing down notes rapidly in a notebook as music played from his radio. He had recorded the basic tenants of magic already, and was now working on some of the finer and thus rarer techniques. The Demoness' Demonic Suits had certainly been a godsend in his research, because if her power allowed for that, it opened the possibility for many more demonic techniques to be actually recorded. As Vortludo worked, he had a slight smile on his face. This was one of his greatest joys, a hobby that he had devoted much of his life to. ~Ryonne~ "3, 2, 1! You're out." Ryonne smiled slightly at the words as his opponent was dragged from the ring. The scorekeeper added another win to his record. The referee was glancing around the room for more volunteers. Ryonne knew that it didn't matter how many of them he defeated, another Rebellion soldier would always think he was a match. A new recruit perhaps, fresh from the countryside, thinking that his swordsmanship was unparalleled. These sparring days were some of Ryonne's greatest pleasures, for many reasons. He always loved the thrill of a fight. He enjoyed sharing his skill with the men. And he enjoyed teaching most of all. Finally, another came to meet him, a young woman this time, holding a short sword in a practiced grip. "And, go!" The ref began the match. ~Viridem~ Viridem slaved away in her kitchen, listening to news from Langerdon on the radio. Eclaire's little show in the capital had caused quite the uproar. It was all anyone could talk about. Viridem particularly admired her leader for this particular show of strength. It was incredible, and required plenty of guts. The Wind grabbed a small bowl of ginger and put it into a pot with some other ingredients. It had not taken long for her and Ryonne to do what Eclaire had dictated of them. They had recruited Embrex and Somrene, a pair of siblings descended from a long line of warriors, Nikolai, the rightful prince of a kingdom swallowed by the Korbenic Empire, and Syfe, a young military leader for the Empire that was allied with them who had agreed to secretly lead a division. All of them were good people, and skilled too. Viridem deftly slid the strips of beef she had in the pan and kept an eye on the rice. She smiled to herself. So far, this whole Rebellion thing was going far better than she would have anticipated. ~The Crow's Eyes A~ Heksen, Lan, and Kol walked swiftly out of the hardware shop. None of them looked quite like themselves. That was for the best, considering they were covered in the blood of Black Mask's men. Kol's illusion magic had given them a new visible layer of clothing and masked the scent of violence and gunpowder from all around them. Fortunately, they had gotten everything that Lan had needed for his little machine thing, they just needed to get back to base so that he could put it all together. Hopefully, the other half of their team was doing better. ~The Crow's Eyes B~ A huge cannon shot soared right over Die's head as he just barely managed to duck behind cover. "Naja, how closer are you to finishing off that download." He asked her through his comms unit, his tone betraying the sense of anxiety he was feeling. He stood up again, and fired off a shot eliminating a guard at the same time as Scherp did to his own. "Just a moment..." Naja whispered, just from habit, she didn't actually have to. "And there." She snatched the thumb drive from the computer and immediately leaped from the window herself. "I'll cover your retreat boss." The Sniper said, still staring down the scope of his rifle. "No, I need you to only fire when I do." "You really wanna keep that act up huh?" Scherp sighed slightly. "Yes, else all those times we did it will go to waste. I got it." Die replied, his tone actually pretty calm considering the entire situation. The two had managed to eliminate most of the guards from the courtyard, but reinforcements would arrive soon. And the spider mech was for all intents and purposes completely impregnable to the two of them. Scherp's rifle would penetrate it, but they had no idea where they could shoot that would disable it. He pulled out a smoke bomb, and tossed it. It exploded a moment later, but what actually happened was a burst of smoke pellets flew everywhere, which then turned into their own smoke cloud. Die vanished in the smoke, running as fast as they could. Scherp smiled. Job completed. He began to make his way back down from his distant rooftop. When the smoke cleared, a piece of paper would be found where Die had been before his escape. Give Korben my best wishes! And tell him that he will be torn down from his throne, if we have to do it ourselves. Love, The Crow's Eyes ~Cyler~ The Serial Killer huffed. And gone, just like that. He should have attacked faster, before he apparently lost the illusion of actually being Asha. Oh well. He switched into Ember, and snapped his finger. Flames erupted all across the apartment, ravaging the place. At least he would see this place burned. He grabbed the cake off the table before dashing into a large flame and vanishing from the building. He reemerged in an alleyway, scaring a poor homeless man to death who had just been innocently staring at his fire. Cyler gave the old man a charismatic nod, as his Demonic Suit vanished away, and then walked away, picking pieces off the cake and eating them. ~Neena~ That was him. One of the Caelum twins. She could end him here and now... Or she might have been able to had she not invested herself earlier that day. Now she was in no condition for a fight. Tomorrow she could go out and take down another corrupted man, or several if they weren't fighters. But no longer today. Still... She could do one thing. Neena sauntered sexily towards Indy, and began to walk alongside him. "Hey handsome, where are you going? I know a place a guy like you could have a lot of fun..." Neena's voice trailed off as she attempted to lure him into a chat. She hated acting this way, but if this was the cost to get something done, she would do it with no regrets. Inside her, magic power slowly began to build. As long as she kept him occupied, this would go flawlessly. ~Rija~ Rija ran over to Korben, and knelt before him. "My liege, what has happened here?" She asked, clearly confused by the carnage and dead bodies around her. She had come as quickly as she could when she saw some of the damage to the interrogation room and lab. She assumed that Shinobi was right behind her, but was unsure. She had run really quickly, even subconsciously activating Project Myth as she did so. "Was there yet another intruder?" She questioned, glancing up to her superior. ~The Doctor~ "And there you go." The Doctor said, standing back up to his full height. The mage still sat on the bed in his cell, rubbing his arm where the needle had pricked him. The Doctor shook his head. "What do you want, a Korben band-aid?" He mocked brashly. Doctor Verstand, sighed, and pulled a small bottle from his jacket. "Here, these are experimental, but all my testing points to them being the best way to end your addiction to tanzynite. They should help should you choose to do so." He continued, exiting the cell and leaving the door wide open. "Go wherever you wish. The Rebellion has begun acting up, but I doubt they will get very far. In any case, I will follow through on my side of the deal. Your records will be wiped from the system. No one will ever now you were here. Thanks for the blood." The Doctor continued to talk to the mage as he departed, swiping and tapping on his datapad as he erased the data. His pets followed behind him as the mage glanced around, feeling like someone should stop him. But no one did, and he managed to escape, true to Julius Verstand's word. Vaude 536 Posted November 11, 2015 Allitt Hearing a screaming child in the distance, followed by sorrowful responses from a man, Allitt decided to investigate. If the building collapsed, she was sure she could get out before she'd get killed. -Rufus Contralto- " 'Zounds, another one," Rufus muttered in a flighty panic as he turned around, the elemental spell of casting snow from his body's own water reservoir dissolving upon loss of concentration. Rufus got ambushed by a woman for the second time in a burning building, this time by a lass with a dangerous-looking rapier as sharp as her dangerous-looking gaze. He licked his dry lips and felt the welling of power in his left arm, preparing a reverse summoning spell for himself. It would take a considerable length of time to pull this off safely, namely two minutes, and he did not have two minutes. He had to delay death long enough to remain alive today, and that would be tricky, should he be facing one of the infamous Caelum twins in combat. "A rebel I am not, but a wayward medicine man. Put thy weapon away and help gather survivors." He swallowed hard, believing that this will not deter Allitt for longer than the bat of an eye. His summoning hand gripped the hilt of his colichemarde, a fair match for the rapier should this turn into a swordfight. Where it lacked in power it gained in speed, and if he somehow got the upper hand in combat he slip past her defences. He knew his opponent would know this too, however, and he speculated fearfully. What if her sword were of considerably strong make and can shatter his blade? What if she feinted a defensive pose in order to dodge and attack? Wariness took his senses as he eyed her studiously and waited for an answer from her. Fencing is study. Patience is critical.

Indy The imperial soldier slowed down upon the arrival of a woman who was trying to seduce him. Of course, he wasn't falling for the act. He'd had (usually drunk) women attempt the same thing in the past, but this one's attempt seemed a little... off. He wasn't particularly interested in something as trivial as romance, anyway. However, he figured he might as well try to play along and figure out what the girl was attempting. If she was a threat, he could strike back at any moment necessary. "Oh? Where might that be?" He responded, trying to keep a more playful tone in his voice. Given his more serious nature, this was difficult to do. Thankfully, he felt that he managed to pull it off rather well. -Rufus Contralto- " 'Zounds, another one," Rufus muttered in a flighty panic as he turned around, the elemental spell of casting snow from his body's own water reservoir dissolving upon loss of concentration. Allitt pointed out. She may have been childish, but she wasn't entirely gullible. She walked around the man, studying his form and equipment. "Why would an innocent traveler be carrying such a sword, anyway?" She asked curiously. She wouldn't attack until she made sure that he was an opponent, though she remained ready to battle. She hoped that this guy could put up a bit of a fight. -Jadis- A voice could be heard among the crackling flames. Beside him was Mara, his dear caretaker. The life had already left her young body minutes, if not hours, ago, and yet Jadis refused to give up on her and save himself. Fiora Fiora made her way through the opening that Jadis had just opened, and quickly picked him up. She took a quick look at Mara, and could easily tell that the woman had passed away. Given Jadis' determination to carry her out, however, she wasn't going to just leave her in the building. "I'll come back for her, too." She told Jadis, then quickly carried him out of the building. She set him down in the snow next to Henry. "There's one more that I have to go in for. Sorry, I'll make this quick." She quickly made a second trip into the building to retrieve Mara's body, then placed it in the snow next to Jadis. "Are you okay, Jadis?" She asked the elf, prepared to heal him if the need arose. She decided against bringing up Mara's current state just yet.

"This was a memento of a friend," Rufus answered defensively, extracting the sword so that the flames danced brilliantly on its hexagonally cross-sectional blade, "and by no means am I innocent, like yourself." Towering embers crackled and ate at the building, and a beam fell from the ceiling into the floor, sending sparks skittering across the wooden planks. If there was anyone alive upstairs, they would not be anymore, and nobody was on the ground floor, of that Rufus was certain. If he were to escape, he felt a strange blend of grievance and relief that he can leave without worry for others. "Allitt, are you, or is it Indy?" he toyed, stalling for time as he prepped his back-summoning still. "You are of a brace of simultaneous births, no matter your name, and your name is feared. What brings you here so late after the Imperial party that attacked this village? Is it sifting the town for your brother that spurs you here?"
