Saber Lily 1,543 Posted September 22, 2015 -Eclaire- She folded her hands. "Numbers do not win a war. They only help." She responded curtly. "And I am aiming to rectify that problem with my current plans, at least with the tech side. We have enough to crew ships, and if we can gain a foothold Tiriel can bring forth a few more Angels to help. We just need to bring hope, and make a stand." She looked at the map sprawled across the table. "And it is drastic, Ryonne. I'm sure you'll do fine." -Chrysalis- The girl scrambled up and hurried over to Ari, grasping her hand fearfully. She hid against her, clearly terrified of the combatants all around. -Tiriel- Scowling, she did not waver as before. "Speak, and I may let you leave, demon." Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted September 22, 2015 (edited) (A quick post so that Mystic can post one last time before his departure)~Tekanorojia & Vortludo~Teka smiled maliciously at Slade, "Isn't it a wonder how even an Imperial whore can crush rebel dogs beneath her heel? I'll give you four one last chance to come to my side. And it's gone." She rushed forward with the incredible speed bestowed to her by her suit, slashing in a wide arc towards Yevgeni as she simultaneously pulled out her sidearm and unloaded a burst of flaming bullets aimed towards the Witcher and Slade. That irritating "ladies man" had vanished from sight. Perhaps logic had returned to him and he had run. That thought vanished as she fell forward and the Noble stood over her, holding his dagger."The light of the world itself hides me from your malevolent gaze." He commented, before vanishing again. Invisibility. Stupid man. She switched to Banshee, and after hearing his slight footsteps using the advanced hearing, sent a huge and concentrated sonic blast right at him. He yelped and fell to he ground, clutching his ears, his visibility returning. Teka looked back to her other opponents, and sent out a wider blast of sound designed to blow them back or to the ground. ~Viridem~ The girl waved away the messenger. "Miss bigshot commander can wait a second, I'll be right there." She said curtly, very much not worried. She looked Arkham in the eyes, or well, what passed for eyes on that weird mask thing. "What do you have? I could always use a new trick or two, especially considering that I just had to take down a tank. And that wasn't even the strongest thing those imperials have." She said, clearly still slightly upset about the fact that she had been forced to take down a tank with little more than some wind and water. -Slade Joseph Wilson- "You suggest the game is over before it even begins, Teka? It has only gotten started..." He stated calmly, then had to twirl his Ballistic Staff rapidly to deflect most of the bullets, some managing to graze his armour but he swiftly returned to form. He couldn't attack immediately due to Vortludo attempting a sneak attack, but it failed and she sent out a powerful sound wave to knock the others back, which caused him to slide quite far back as he covered his helmeted face with his arms, then threw them aside and quickly analysed his surroundings. "A flawed technique." He said, running forward and jumping off of a Table that had slid near him, readying his staff in mid-air and doing a downward strike, then rose up quickly to do a jumping, clock-wise twirl with the staff outwards and a downward-right strike leading into a hard poke with the end of the staff and attempting to pull back to avoid counter-attack. -Nolan "Arkham" Vigil- Ignoring the messenger, Nolan immediately proceeded with her question. "Why yes, I do have something that may be of use." He stated, walking up to one of his other workstations, filled with many components, incomplete gadgets and Data-Journals. He pushed a button on the Workstation Computer which opened a small section of the Desk and out of it rose a High-Tech Holder and a Gadget within. Nolan pulled it out and turned to face Viridem. "Explosive Gel, or as I have decided to call it, as "Blowy-Upy Stuff" wasn't good enough." He stated, holding the dispenser in hand and showing it off from various angles by moving it around in his hand. "Should I demonstrate?" He offered. Also, forgot: Remote Hacking Device: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/batmanarkhamworld/images/6/69/2763ae904b14b0740aa17797206a5d23.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140817202303 And Explosive Gel: https://utamoh.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/explosivegel07_concept1.jpg -Azrael/Masked Man- "You still seem pretty distrusting, my dear. A shame. Perhaps if you'd take off the "Nemesis Goggles" and allow me passage, you'd get somewhere." He said to her, his tone being that of calm but stern. "I give you an ultimatum: Let me in and get info or keep being an obstruction and significantly hamper your efforts. Your choice." He stated. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted September 26, 2015 ~Vortludo & Tekanolojia~ Teka stepped to the side quickly to dodge Yev's slash. "Angelic power... how delightful." She said with a smile as she switched her suit to Nyx. Her shadow bent to her will as it became animate and stood next to the demoness. The shadow dashed forward and slashed at Yevgeni quickly before returning to its master's side. Slade rushed at her, but with her shadow and herself, they were able to quickly deflect the blows together. Once his string of attacks had ended, her darkness twin flipped over the armored assassin and lashed out with a scissor kick aimed at his head. Meanwhile the real Teka pulled the shadow of the table out from under it, and gave it weight before swinging the destructive shadow at Slade. Both her and her shadow turned towards Mikhail. Then both pulled out their assault rifles and unloaded a clip into the Witcher. ~Ryonne~ "I'm not worried about me." Ryonne muttered. "I'm worried about every other passionate soldier under your care and how they might fare. Because if it's dangerous, I'm worried for their safety." He said. He was always concerned about the people, the individual over the larger picture. Did that make him a good military strategist? Not in particular. Did it make him a good person? That much was certain. ~Viridem~ "Miss Hangin..." The messenger complained, clearly anxious. "It sounded really important." Viridem glared at the messenger, but finally caved. She sighed, and grabbed the explosive gel from Arkham and the RHD from its holder before turning towards the door. "I'll figure it out as I go. But apparently, I need to go. Eclaire has some vitally important meeting that I need to get to. You should probably come too though, considering how your the leading technology developer here." Viridem noted as she departed. The messenger followed sheepishly behind the Wind. ~Neena~ Neena glared at the rock man. She did not trust him, but he certainly was not Empire. He did not have the malicious and arrogant aura that the Empire did. But the other woman certainly did. Since both used Tanzynite she could not give either any advantage, nor could she leave either alone. Both must die. She glanced at the little girl by the woman's side. Such a tragic victim... But she must be destroyed for her own good. Neena could see the self-loathing in the girl's eyes, the pleading for mercy. It was alright, she would save her. It would all be alright. Neena looked to the woman who seemed to want to escape. For now, the man should stay. He seemed to be intent on not letting any harm come to anybody. At least, for now he did. The assassin rushed forward, right towards Ariana and Chrysalis. "My mommy's dead. Due to people like you. So forgive me if she didn't teach me the rules of fighting dirty Imperials." She said as around her formed several shimmering blades of light. Neena flung them in a row towards Ariana and Chrysalis as she continued to run forwards. ~The Doctor~ The Doctor wiped his mouth off with a napkin after swallowing his last delicious bite of raspberry scone, his one true weakness. He had been staring at his datapad, moving around atoms and manipulating molecular bonds in an effort to attain the exact formula he desired. A woman screamed from elsewhere in the coffee shop. The Doctor sighed. "Kearns!" He cried out. His ciful flew very slowly back to its master. The Doctor looked sternly at the creature. "You know that terrorizing innocents is against the rules. And if you continue to break the rules, I'll leave you with the Giant Spiders the next time I depart." The giant insect, as much as it could, looked terrified. Doctor Verstand shook his head as he stood and began to walk out of the shop. John, Von Helrung, and Kearns all followed closely behind.
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted September 26, 2015 -Yev- The blond saw the shadow coming and attempted to sidestep, but only managed to move only so far before it was upon him. While he managed to protect his vital organs his arm wasn't quite so lucky. A deep gash ran through his upper arm, his taupe-colored coat quickly saturating with blood. Yev winced, briefly, before tearing his gaze back onto Tekanorojia. She was quick and lethal; he didn't think he had what it took to bring her down, not even alongside the other three. Grasping the sword firmly with both hands above his right shoulder, Yev charged straight for Teka's back as she was preoccupied in attacking Mikhail. Its blade still glowed with holy light, sharp and determined to reach its target between the demon's shoulder blades. While Yev was quick on his feet, he still wasn't quite as fast as Teka when she set her mind out to it. He only hoped that the element of surprise would be on his side. In the corner of the room sat the dark-haired woman who'd approached. She held her knees close to her chest, watching fearfully as the others conducted battle. While she thought she was turning criminals in to the empire, she didn't think it would result in their death. And so brutally at that. Her gaze slid to Vortludo as she bit her lip. Why did she take advantage of kind people like this? -Ariana- On instinct Ariana shoved Chrysalis into the snow and away from her to protect her from the blades before extending a hand, instantly forming dark purple orbs that pulsed with the power of the shadows. The formed before her, protecting her from the blades aimed directly at her and causing them to fall aimlessly to the ground. Ariana's eyes began to glow yellow as the powers of her tanzynite began to manifest and take hold of her body. Any warmth that might've once lingered in her demeanor had faded, and all that remained was a dark woman possessed by the shadows themselves, dark purple mist visible around her form. "Foolish girl. I wasn't going to kill you, but you've left me no choice." With that Ari summoned a shadow which took the form of an angel. It wasn't holy or good by any means, however, as it fled in the direction of Neena, preparing to collide right with her and torture her very mind, her own darkness within. Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted September 26, 2015 -Slade Joseph Wilson- "Clever girl..." Slade noted as she deflected his strikes with the aid of a Shadowy Doppelgänger, whom of which retaliated by flipping over him and attempting a Scissor Kick Takedown move, but Slade was quick to react and had seen the manoeuvre hundreds of times before and countered it by gripping its legs and throwing the Shadow over him onto its face and stood on its back hard, with a visceral snap as the creature's back was broken. However, the real Tekanorojia produced a Shadow Table from a nearby real one and hurled it at him, it shattered upon impact but did little to faze him...aside from provoke him. "That was a mistake." He said, then lunged towards her, unleashing several quick strikes with his Staff, all going left-to-right and right-to-left, then he followed up with a twirl of the Staff to confuse her and then brought it down hard towards her head. -Nolan "Arkham" Vigil- "I was thinking of attending anyway. Besides, it'll give me the chance to explain how the Explosive Gel Dispenser works." Nolan noted, following Viridem out of his Lab, tapping a few buttons on his forearm console and the door closed behind them and locked. "You seem disinterested or somewhat cynical about the meeting, Viridem....do you not like it or view it as important? Eclaire is trying her best....albeit being a little too dramatic while doing so, but I digress." He quizzed, then he checked his Notes in his HUD: None were there, so he had done all of his tasks for the day, so the Meeting was top priority.
Shulk 8,623 Posted September 28, 2015 -Ariana- It certainly caught Ari by surprise to watch Henry grasp her twin blades and thrust them back at her. She stumbled backward, losing her balance momentarily before steadying herself. Henry then lunged toward her, though she managed to quickly thrust her blades out in front of her to shield herself, her katanas locked in a cross. Before his sword could meet hers, however, a fireball came out of no where from a newcomer. One that, possibly, would attempt to annihilate all of them. Immediately Ari's eyes shot to Chrysalis, ensuring the girl was safe before turning to face Neena. "I thought that your mommy would've taught you better than to intrude upon a fair fight," she said. "Now, I shall leave you two to play. I have better things to do than waste my time on inferior beings such as yourselves." She jerked her head, beckoning Chrysalis to come before turning back to Henry and Neena. "We leave now. Dare to follow and you will wish you hadn't been born." -Yevgeni- The blond could barely fling out his rapier to block her wide blow in time. He watched the scene unfold, eyes following Teka's sleek form in hopes of finding an advantageous point to make his move. It never came, however, though was grateful when Vortludo made himself useful at last with his invisibility act. It didn't last long and Tekanorojia once more had the upper hand, sending a blow of sound so strong that it forcefully through Yev off his feet and flying onto a table flat on his back. He managed to knock over a drink, though it was long abandoned by those who had once sat there. He wasted no time in scrambling to his feet before Teka could throw another blow his way. He placed two fingers along the blade of his rapier, closing his eyes and uttering something under his breath. The sword glinted gold momentarily before returning to its original state, yet a glow lingered around the blade. Yev thrust all of his weight behind it, rushing straight toward the demon relentlessly. As he extended the sword, hoping it would slash at the woman, a sharp, thin beam of holy light emitted from the blade, its beam so bright and hot that it could singe the very flesh of anything it touched. He was careful to ensure that his friends were at least a far enough distance away to avoid this, or so he hoped. -Jadis- Their journey had been a long and weary one. The stay at the inn had been nice and warm, though Jadis refused to allow Fiora to pay. "You're doing us the biggest favor in the world for saving Mara's life," he'd told her. "It's the very least that we can do, Miss Fiora." They spent very little time in the inn, however, and ate a very hasty breakfast before departure. Mara, the elves' caretaker, had been ill for some time, and they didn't want to risk being, well, too late. They continued to trek on through the snow relentlessly, until they finally came to the village of Rhasolvich. It was a small town: quaint, quiet, cold, and adorable. It seemed like one of those places where one would just find peace and solace to enjoy their everyday lives. Or, at least when it wasn't filled with imperials, a witch, a large man with a sword, and two dead, bloody bodies in the snow. Krea couldn't help but grab her head and let out a scream. The other elf's brows furrowed, seriousness creeping in his tone as he eyed the murdered couple. "T--this can't be," he barely uttered, his temple twitching. "Rhasolvich has always b--been safe. We've never been attacked before." It was then that Ariana's gaze flickered over to them, her violet eyes flashing dangerously. Fiora was shocked to see the sudden attack on Rhasolvich. The threatening glance from one of the women who was present didn't make her feel much better. She looked over at Jadis and Krea, and kept a calm tone as she spoke with them. "Watch out, you two... Let's get somewhere safe." She told them. She looked around for some place that they could hide while this battle raged... "Do you know anywhere that you two could hide out until everything's clear? I don't want you getting involved in this fight." She asked the two, hoping that they could get to safety. She studied the battle. She assumed that the woman who had given her and the elves the threatening glare was an imperial soldier. She couldn't recognize the person who was fighting the woman, but an enemy of the empire was an ally to her. She could give her backup if she needed it, but her first priority was to get the children to safety.
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) - Henry Hansees - Henry frowned as he was about to rush after Arianna, but Neena went after her first, simply smilling at her as she glared at him, he watched as she faded into the distance after her, he could either, rush after, or deal with something else, "Well now that the ninja girl is gone after the Crazy woman I guess the best course of action for me to take...is to deal with that weird girl (Peashy), before she kills any innocent." he said as he walked into the village, scanning the areas for traces of Peashy's magic, he knew this girl was up to something, and he was not gonna let her do any harm to the civilians, his darkness aura dropping, to reduce chances of someone detecting his power as he searched for the girl. - Mikhail Crad - "Oh shit..." Mikhail muttered under his breath as he watched both Teka, and her shadow start to unload onto him with their assault rifles, he quickly threw his hand forward, and held it, as a magic shield surrounded him, protecting him from the constant stream of bullets thrown at him, they were bullets, not hard to block with the active version of quen, but they did limit his options, although soon enough they had finished unloading, and the other began to attack her as well, they having taken advantage she was shooting at him, although he feared she would counter them, and released the shield around him as the stream of bullets stopped, he soon pulled. He decided to attack along with his allies, as they attacked her, he took advantage her attention was focused on them, as he lunged at her, and delivered a large combo with a flurry of slashes, each using more and more momentum to continue the flurry, with extreme finesse, it almost looked like Mikhail was dancing, with a silver sword. - Dex and Oryx - In one of the poorest districts of the capital, a lone man stood in the middle of an abandoned warehouse, he was standing there, as a demonic like spectre formed in front of him, it was Oryx's spectre, as they spoke about current events, "Well the empire was just attacked, and the order isn't silent anymore, I bet they're going to do an all out attack on the empire...thats suicide..." Dex commented with a sigh. Oryx simply laughed "That is the perfect opportunity, they are too busy with one another to notice us, and the other criminals masterminds around...yes, the perfect opportunity." Oryx spoke, in a low pitch, demonic voice, "Pherhaps, but where do we begin? we can't exactly make our presence known to them...even though we have an army..." Dex replied. "Pherhaps we cannot strike now, but soon Dex, soon, after my liutenants have been revived, we will descend upon whoever is left standing after the battle, and the rest, you know..." Oryx said, "As you wish..." Dex said, as Oryx disappeared, and Dex walked out of the warehouse, and into the poor streets of the capital. The Unversed 168 Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) As Peashy watched the 2 elves trying to heal the sick woman in bed Peashy thought for a brief moment "Why are they trying to heal that sick lady?...don't evil people attack & kill good people?...???" Peashy's head begun to spin with confusion. Just then Peashy's DBZ scouter started to scan the area "Uh! Somebody just used magic (Neena), Oh no...now theres more evil people here, mm..." said Peashy quietly as she turned her head looking towards the front door at bit scared. That's when one of the elf woman healers saw Peashy hiding just behind the bedroom "Oh my, are you lost little girl? come closer my dear we won't bite" said the elf woman healer. Peashy was a bit scared at first but she had such a calm voice this elf that Peashy felt it was ok to enter the room slowly tho. "Um...uh...I'm Peashy" said Peashy as she slowly walked into the room soon jumping on a chair near the sick woman. Peashy stared at the sick woman in bed "Um, so why are you trying to heal this sick lady when your red?" said Peashy swinging her legs under the chair "Red my dear? We're trying to help her recover but we're not getting any real good results I'm afraid. We don't even know how long she has if we can't heal her soon" said the elf woman healer "That's really sad...I hope she gets well soon" said Peashy before she begun to feel a bit hungry. Peashy then pulled out one of those special food balls again but this time she ate it in one bite "GA-AAAHHH!!" screamed Peashy as she quickly held her head with both hands shaking about the room "Wh-whats wrong dear?" said the elf woman. Meanwhile back at Langerdon "It's a good thing we gave Peashy those special food balls to eat" said the girl guard "Why's that?" said a guard "Cause those food balls not only recover her power but also bring out her aggressive side by causing constant massive headaches over & over, it's like someone hitting you over the head with a pan over & over. This way Peashy will attack thinking those around her are the ones causing her head to hurt, HAHAHA!!" said the girl guard. Peashy then transformed into her goddess form still screaming out loudly before she quickly without thinking killing the first elf woman by slashing her with her claw weapon & threw the other elf woman out the bedroom window intently killing her as she smashed against a houses wall outside the bedroom window. Peashy then looked at the sick woman in bed hesitating in attacking her for some reason. Edited September 28, 2015 by The Unversed
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) - Henry Hansees - It didn't take long for Henry to find this girl, as she had thrown an elf woman through a window and a wall, which coincidentally were near him, "And there she is..." he said with a serious tone, as now innocent blood was spilt, walking over to the house where the elf woman was thrown out of, the door was opened, so entered only to see another elf woman laid on the floor, dead. his eyes widened at the scene, but he also saw Peashy standing over the sickly old woman, Henry's expression quickly turned serious as he stepped forward, making his presence known. "Don't even think about laying a hand on her, you already killed the two women who were trying to keep her alive, and let me guess, they were red too?" he said with a chastising tone, almost as it mocking Peashy, "My educated guess is that they didn't even try to do anything, and you killed them both...didn't you?" he asked with the same serious tone, dark aura could be felt from him, as he was now genuinely angry, "Well now you crossed the blood red line..." he said with a tone sounding as if he was ready to kill. - Gabriel Stross - Loud clanking and machinery could be heard from outside his lab, as he was now finishing another mech, this time, a real combat ready one, subbed "Sahala", a large, bipedal mech, copying those mechs Kusanagi originated from, but much much cheaper to make, and much more effective, as it combined the strenght of the Kusanagi mech along with many others designed. It has a high power rail gun, capable of piercing any armor plate, or anything touched, had a large, chain whip-like sword, which had plasma in its edges, also capable to penetrating any armor, highly agile, capable of flight, and above all, self-repair, through nano repair bots, capable of reconstructing its mechanical parts in a whim, it was also capable of controlling seismic activity, pretty much control the earth along through stabbing the ground with its sword, it also came packed with several anti-material plasma missiles and explosive rounds machineguns in its shoulders, flamethrowers, mine launchers for ground combatants, oh and it also had a vehicle mode, where its legs would retract and connect to its back, as wheels would come out of its under sections. On physical appearance, it didn't seem much compared to the likes of Kusanagi, but its performance would impress, as it rivaled the empire's greatest advances in terms of power, cost effectiveness and flexibility. Its control pod, capable to be manned, but also unmanned by a complex set of cords, which allowed for direct control from Gabriel's lab, or even control by itself as it also had an onboard AI, hopefully this model would work, as the last were somehow destroyed by some unexpected attacks on its critical area, thankfully, those vulnerabilities were corrected, and if one wanted to break it, they would need to pierce its thick external and self repairing armor before managing to damage any internal parts. it also played music, but sadly the empire never allowed Gabriel to input any in his inventions, as he was honestly tempted to input "Ride of the valkyries" into its combat program. With a few finishing touches, Sahala was complete, as Gabriel sent a message to Korben to announce of its completion through an image of it, with a thumbs up edited in the inferior left corner. (Sahala is...you guessed it.) Told you guys I was gonna bring Metal gear into this. Vaude 536 Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) -Rufus Contralto-A bushy head cropped forth from the window of a nearby inn within Rhasolvich, followed shortly by green, beady eyes and a sharp nose. The scream of a young girl alerted him from his half-baked meal of cheese-and-fowl pie, and while the disturbance outside had attracted his attention before he had not bothered to check out the situation. His bushy head fell back in surprise, his eyes narrowed in agitation, and his nose wrinkled in disgust." 'Zounds, what abominations are wrought by these foul slubberdegullions, and of the royal tyrant's parade they be," he loudly voiced in such archaic language he seemed entirely superfluous, and he was. "Such evils must be arointed, so aroint thee, varlets! Tish, if naught by any other hand, let it be mine!"Frenzious, he let go of the windowsill and flew out the door, leaving blackened, smouldering fingerprints behind him on its surface. His hands, heated with magic, tightened around his sword hilt and scabbard as he entered the street, but they cooled upon sighting the youths protected by an older woman."Do you know anywhere that you two could hide out until everything's clear? I don't want you getting involved in this fight," she (Fiora) said to the children, her voice as angelic to Rufus as her look. Nevertheless, he answered for them."O beauty, hide in this quaint house of rest and food of poor quality along with your children. I have sworn to chivalry and will uphold it by slaying these vanguards of misdeeds!"With that, he started towards the imperial threat, in hopes that his sword and his emblazoned soul would aid in rousting them from the town. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted September 29, 2015 ~Vortludo & Tekanolojia~ As the three each began their counterattack, Teka was forced to switch to Valkyrie, and intended to use its incredible attributes to boost herself to near invinicible levels. Which it did. Very helpful. Teka was certain to keep individual attributes in mind, allowing herself to use only her armored forearm to block Slade's staff strikes while playing defensive against Mikhail and Yevgeni's blades since they could actually pierce her armor. And under her armor, she was not particularly beefy. Even a scratch from one of those weapons would hurt quite a bit. Finally, all three of them coincided an attack at the same time, and Teka held them in place. Then without warning she switched to Gaea and sent out a huge shockwave to throw all three of them away from her. She smiled under her mask. Brilliant. She had the advantage once again. Vortludo rolled over. He had been pretending to be in pain for a little bit now, enough to throw suspicion off him. He caught sight of the girl, cowering in fear of the clash of giants all around her. He attempted to catch her eyes, and then gave a cheesy smile. He mouthed some words, in some hope to communicate his wishes. "Watch this," He said silently. He waited until Teka had just let out the shockwave before hopping to his feet. The Noble glanced to his fists. Phantom Fist was ready. He was right behind her now, and he threw a powerful punch right into the small of her back. The pushing power of the Phantom Fist threw the Demoness far, and she crashed into the shelves of alcohol behind the bar. As glass shattered, Vortludo let out a rallying cry. "Come my brothers in arms, let us finish off this witch once and for all!" ~Viridem~ "Ugh, just what I need. Someone else questioning me. I can never get Ryonne off my back, I don't need your criticism too." The green-haired youth said in reply to Arkham's question. "If you really wanna know, I don't care for meetings. Just let me kill some more things. Preferably with a safe and foolproof plan." She said. Finally, they made it to the war room. She turned before entering the door. "As for our beloved leader's flare for the dramatic, I don't give a shit about her methods. So long as she doesn't get us all killed, then she can do whatever she wants with her personal appearances." Viridem answered Arkham. Without giving him a chance to respond, Viridem opened the door to the conference room and took a seat next to Ryonne with a huff. "Yes Miss Big Britches?" She said, acting as if she didn't know why she had been called there. Ryonne rolled his eyes. He had gotten used to Viridem being a brat, but he still didn't like it. ~Neena~ "The only thing foolish is your incessant journey for power through Tanzynite." Neena countered. As the angel flew towards her, Neena pulled out her bow. She flipped the arrow between her fingers and then took aim. The tip of the arrow began to glow. Neena let it fly. Its aim true, the projectile struck the demonic figure, and stopped it in its tracks. Light spread through the animate darkness, and it slowly began to fall apart as the light countered the darkness. The Assassin looked then back to Ariana, mentally plotting her next move. It wasn't long before Neena dashed again towards the Demon, blade in hand and readied for a strike. But before impact, Neena vanished into a portal of darkness. It was only a split second before the assassin appeared again right behind Ariana, her blade glowing with light as she slashed diagonally upwards. ~The Doctor~ Unfortunately, the Doctor rarely looked where he was going. He was often preoccupied with other things, primarily his work, but a good book or even his own thoughts would make his eyes stray from the path. It was bad habits like this that often led to disaster. Like this one. The Doctor smacked right into Dex as he exited the warehouse, making his datapad go flying and the Monstrumologist trip and land on his face. He quickly got to his feet and faced the young man, frustration and anger in his eyes. "Did your mother never teach you to watch where your going before you enter the street? Goodness gracious, the more I see of the world the more I am certain it is all going to hell." He exclaimed. Kearns, the Ciful, had fetched his datapad for him and placed it in its master's outstretched hand. "I am not leaving until you give me a formal apology for bumping into me so rudely." "Don't even think about laying a hand on her, you already killed the two women who were trying to keep her alive, and let me guess, they were red too?" he said with a chastising tone, almost as it mocking Peashy, "My educated guess is that they didn't even try to do anything, and you killed them both...didn't you?" he asked with the same serious tone, dark aura could be felt from him, as he was now genuinely angry, "Well now you crossed the blood red line..." he said with a tone sounding as if he was ready to kill. "I am not leaving until you give me a formal apology for bumping into me so rudely." The Doctor said as he examined his primary work tool for any scratches or other damage. -Peashy- After Henry spoke out to Peashy she just stood there for a moment gritting her teeth as her DBZ scouter quickly scanned him & colored him red, Peashy then screamed out loudly again "GAAAAHHH!!!" screamed Peashy as with her quick speed she then grabbed apart of the bed that the sick woman was in throwing not only the bed at Henry but the sick woman at Henry too. Just a second after Peashy threw the bed she jumped off the floor nearing the thrown bed about to slash right through the bed to kill not only Henry but the sick woman also. -Uzume- Uzume had been currently traveling through cities & villages trying to find someone but has come to a village named Luin. Uzume is walking down a desert path heading just outside of the village of Luin "Hm...so they weren't there either. Where are you?..." said Uzume as she continued walking until she come to the edge of the island. Uzume's eyes then widened after seeing something she didn't expect to see at the bottom of the cliff "So...this is where those who try to stop the empire end up" said Uzume eyeing a massive amount of dead bodies piled on top of one another as the oceans waves crash against them all. "This needs to stop. It's cause of that stupid Tanzynite stuff! I'm stopping this right now!" said Uzume as she clenched her fist in anger before turning around heading straight for Langerdon city. -Plutia- "Oh my no, I do believe I saw you bump into him..." said a voice from the shadows. Plutia in her goddess form then come out from the shadows to the right of the Doctor "So it's really you who should be apologizing to him handsome. Unless you want me to punish you for it instead?" said Iris Heart holding her whip sword at the ready soon causing the Doctor's beasts to shake & quiver in fear from just her presence. Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) -Ariana- It was no surprise that her shadow angel had been destroyed by Neena, though she was mildly surprised when she'd appeared from behind her. When Neena transported through a portal, however, she was brought to high alert and was preparing for any abrupt movement. The moment her ears detected sound from behind her, Ari put her "gymnastic expert" tanzynite to good use and did two quick forward flips to dodge the attack. Neena's blade was close, however, and cut through the cloth of her cloak. "You're quick," she cooed, before doing a backflip and throwing both feet in the direction of Neena's chest with full force. Hoping to catch her off guard, Ari gained her footing before Neena and withdrew her twin katanas, slicing the air manically in a series of twirls and slashes. The newcomers that Ariana had noticed would just have to wait. They couldn't do much harm now anyway, and she was certain to take care of them once she was through putting a stop to this brat. -Yevgeni- Just when Yev thought that he'd taken Teka by surprise the demon, in turn, surprised him: she'd transformed back into her gaea form and sent a massive shockwave to surround her general vicinity, which in turn was in range with Yevgeni and the others. Before Yev could respond he was flung into the air and once more landed hard on his back. A low groan escaped his lips as he felt his spine crack against the tile floor and his head throb from the impact. His rapier flew from his hand and rested a few feet away from him, its blade glinting with the weak remainder of his holy magic. Despite the pain Yev wasted no time in getting up, and, in the time that it took him to snatch his weapon back up, Vortludo had managed to send a powerful blow to the small of the demon's back. It sent her flying into a cupboard of glass, and in the moment of silence the screams from the street could be heard. The tavern's occupants had evacuated long ago, with the exception of the dark-haired maiden and a trio of drunken guys shouting and cheering in the corner. Apparently this beat the soccer game that played moments ago on the TV. Vortludo pronounced that they finish the demon, to which Yev briefly nodded. He'd intended not to use his tanzynite in front of them, but right now he wasn't seeing much of a choice. He closed his eyes, hoping that they wouldn't notice what he was doing, as he raised a hand. Focusing hard and tapping into the abilities of his telekinesis tanzynite, he concentrated on visualizing all of the liquor bottles that surrounded Teka on the shelves and, whole or seared in half, he urged those bottles to begin crashing down on Teka and hoped that some of them, particularly the broken jagged bottles, would pierce through her armor. -Jadis- Upon Fiora's words the young elf shook his head. "I don't really know of anywhere that they won't try to search for--AUGH!" He was interrupted mid-sentence by a bushy-haired man who leapt from a window. At first he thought that the man was an imperial ready to slaughter them, until he realized that the sword wasn't for them and began to recognize his words. Or, at least some of them. Half of what Rufus spoke Jadis could hardly even make out. He did, however, catch the part where he spoke of their safety, as well as the fact that he'd presumed Jadis and Krea to be Fiora's children. "What are you, crazy?" Jadis asked Rufus before being able to contain himself. "She's not our mother. I'm almost thirteen years old! And we don't need your help." The moment he closed his mouth he felt a nudge against his arm. He glanced over to find Krea peering at him, her eyes haunted. "Jadis," she chided, "don't be rude. He's trying to help us. Let him, please." There was something insistent and pleading in her tone, something which Jadis simply couldn't ignore. He let out a sigh and shook his head. "Sorry, Mister. It's just been kind of a long day and we're not used to strangers"--he stole a quick glance over to Fiora and considered her momentarily--"Miss Fiora, what do you think we should do? Can we trust him?" It didn't seem that Rufus was giving them long to consider, however, as he soon started to make his way for the battle before they could finish getting their retorts in. Deadlocked 8 Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) -David Greene- This was just supposed to be a small, quick job, just break a few fingers and constrict some people for a while to remind them of their debt. But no, David found himself near a battlefield in Rhasolvich, if said client was practically impossible to find, with this racket they probably died or escaped, grunting, David rushed to where the conflict wasn't as strong, might as well get a rest no? His serpentine eyes managed to detect some children and a woman, with an eccentric looking man going directly into the conflict, how stupid. He slithered near the group, and said "Well, hello there, Misssssss, do you, by chance, know if i could ssssssstay in thisssss inn?" He hissed, with a slight wary smile. Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted September 30, 2015 - Henry - Henry's eyes widened as he didn't expect the girl to throw the bed with the sickly old woman at him, with the old woman still laid on top of it, Henry quickly grabbed the bed, sliding backwards at the force of the throw, he managed to stop it, without harm to the woman was he saw Peashy rushing him, quickly jumping over the bed and clashing right into Peashy's claws with his arms, clashing with her as he held her claws in place, with his own arms, which were covered in dread rocks, he locked eyes with her for a moment ,before Peashy could react to Henry withstanding the blow he quickly threw up his arms, knocking her claws upwards as a result on an attempt to throw her off guard as he delivered a powerful drop kick towards her, with enough force to throw her through the house's wall and even further after going throug. - Mikhail - Mikhail rolled and managed to recover relatively well from the shockwave, impressed that vortludo managed to get a hit in, he watched Yev's attack, and held back laughter as he honestly didn't think bottles would be able to pierce anything on her armor, he quickly pulled out two bombs, one he named "Dancing star" and "Grapeshot" the former which would released a flammable cloud of gas and the latter the regular fragmentation grenade, capable of igniting it. he quickly threw dancing star at where Teka was and Grapeshot soon after, as the explosion followed soon after, unique properties of the dancing star is thta it wouldn't set any furniture or wood on fire, as the fire would very quickly expend upon ignition, it could however ignite enemies in it, and anything around the center of the blast caused by the grapeshot bomb. - Dex - "Im...sorry?" Dex apologized as he was surprised that he ended up stumbling into someone on his way out, this guy though, seemed like quite the character, being followed by what seemed to be tamed animals, a phoenix, a bear-wolf hybrid from what he could tell, and an insect that he didn't bother trying to describe, "I didn't expect to stumble into someone here..." he said taking a quick glance at the phoenix, intrigued by it, before he could do anything however Plutia soon came, someone he knew all to well, or rather, Oryx did anyway. "There will be no need for violence, we just stumbled on one another, really." Dex explained trying to prevent a possible fight, as he frowned as he pondered for a second, this man seemed like the unique figure, that meant, the perfect spy, or rather, one of his pets, he looked at the phoenix, that one seemed like the perfect one, but he quickly shifted his gaze to Plutia and the Doctor, waiting for what they would say. Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted September 30, 2015 -Slade Joseph Wilson- Once more, Slade's strikes were blocked. Teka's reputation certainly was earned, but he would not relent to the Demon, even as she switched modes and shockwaved him away, as a quick and precisely timed flip saved him the brunt of the impact and allowed him to get back into the fight swiftly. "You have most certainly earned your status, Teka. But my skills exceed yours both in maturation and power." He stated calmly, but before he could act, Vortludo swooped in with a powerful attack, catching Tekanolojia off-guard and hurling her into a shelf of alcohol, shattering the bottles and spilling the contents everywhere as she fell behind the bar. "You know...you can be quite crafty when you try, Vort." Slade noted, switching the Staff to his left hand as he took out his Desert Eagle and loaded it with his best bullets for taking out such a Demon and stood upon the bar, noting that the bottles had begun moving on their own yet paid them little heed other than ensuring he wasn't in their path and aimed his gun, cocked it and fired several rounds down at Teka. -Nolan "Arkham" Vigil- "...I'm not sure I like your attitude as much as I like your skills." Nolan remarked, tapping a few more buttons on his Gauntlet Computer, then looking right at Viridem. "Considering what lies ahead of us, we need plans, we need co-ordination and we need to stay focused. Killing people is one thing but that alone won't win us the war and we need these meetings in order for us to actually formulate a safe and foolproof plan." He stated, paying her complaining no heed. "Now don't get me wrong; I get what you mean. I was like you once, not wanting to hear other people's shit or advice, thinking I could handle myself at that state. Then I got my ass handed to me in real combat. I know that you've been in combat, but that sort of attitude won't be very...well, good, in the long run. Ya get me?" He explained, still sounding quite chill yet stern as they entered the meeting room. "Thought I'd enter the Room of Discussing Things, as I'm your Commander, Eclaire." He stated, taking a seat. Vaude 536 Posted October 3, 2015 -Rufus Contralto- Too deeply focused on his own goals to hear what was said behind him, Rufus headed ever closer to the battlefield, his left hand tentatively gripping the sword's hilt while the other displayed a glow of pulsating amber. As soon as he entered the battle area, he halted and let fly a menacing firebolt from where he previously was storing power towards Ariana, hoping to take out the calculating scientist without incinerating her opposition. The blaze was concentrated and intense, packing a lot of heat, but like all fire it was mindless and not picky of what it devoured. He readied his blade next, not sure if a soldier would jump out of nowhere to assault him or if Ariana had a few tricks up her sleeve. A chilly sensation numbed his right hand as he wove a spell into the colichemarde's intricate steel structure.
Shulk 8,623 Posted October 3, 2015 Fiora was prepared to respond to Jadis, but the entrance of a loud man interrupted their conversation. Normally, she would have been flustered by not only the man assuming that she was a mother, but also by the fact that he called her a beauty. However, the serious situation at hand allowed her to remain focused. Upon hearing Rufus' suggestion for her to hide with the children in the inn, she turned back to the two children. "You two should hide in the inn for now, you'll be safe there." After giving them the warning, she faced Rufus. "I agree that the children should hide for now... However, I'll let you know that I'm not quite as helpless as I might appear to be." She drew her two daggers. She wasn't sure if it would be the best idea to leave the children in the inn, but she couldn't let this woman get away. She wanted to join the battle, too. She kept her magic powers secret, of course. She was talented enough with her weapons to avoid using any magic. As Rufus attacked the imperial soldier, she stood back and observed the fight. Unlike this man, she wasn't really prepared to rush into a battle. She was a little bit more frail, but her speed made up for that.
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted October 4, 2015 -Tiriel- "Speak up, I cannot hear you, Demon!" She roared. -Chrysalis- The girl whimpered, hiding in the snow until Ari came for her. She was mostly silent...completely terrifed. -Eclaire- Ignoring Viridem's disrespect, the leader of the Order stood and tossed a holodisc onto the map, and a 3D representation of the Imperial Port flashed into existance. "Barring Viridem's late arrival...my plan has a few phases...and the Shipyard of Coldharbour is the first. Here is where the Empire has the last of it's seaborne fleet at dock, and that is our objective. We're going to steal a fleet.' She motioned, the disc changing. "Here is the Imperial Citadel, located halfway between Langerdon and the border with the last remaining nation. Here, Ryonne, is where you, Viridem, and whoever you choose to take with you, will go. You're objective is the burn the Citadel to the ground however you damn well please...then move north, to the Imperial Shipyard of Tauk." She highlighted a total of four targets. "Our forces will spread across these four objectives, burn them to glass, and move to Tauk...or make it look as if we're going there. The real objective of this operation is to get the Empire to split it's forces between the four, then converge them on Tauk. While this is happening my battalion will steal the fleet and escape to Orience, hiding them within the Langrange Trench that leads inland. We've managed to hollow out the mountain there, thanks to the mages that have flocked to this Order of Lux." She then switched views, to a single symbol. "This all is to prepare for Phase Two." She gestured to Victoria. "We have with us Princess Victoria de L'Ete, the rightful heir to the fallen kingdom of Orience. Her survival from their genocide is our salvation. Because, once we have the fleet, and once we have all made it back safely, we will use Arkham's invaluable skills to hijack the Imperial ComNet, and broadcast a new message to the remainder of the world. We are going to reestablish the Kingdom of Orience with the Order of Lux as it's stalwart knights." She took a breath. "Ideals alone can spark a war, but many are fearful. What can ideals do for them? What can we do? This is the solution. By re-establishing Orience as a Kingdom, and make Kusanagi sovereign ground, as can bring hope. For...if a Kingdom that has been decimated for a decade...can be reborn, like a phoenix...then what will stop the people from rising up? We will be a haven for mages, there for the sick, the injured. That is why we needed medical supplies, Tanzynite. Ammunition, weapons...and why, Ryonne, I'll need you two to steal as much as you can as you burn those bases down. We have the mobile suits, the Kusanagi...we have the Oathkeeper on payroll, until we bring him in fully...and we have you all." She turned off the holodisc. "Ryonne, I will give you two days to prepare. Arkham, I will need everything you have passed out to our troops. I also am going to need you to look into retrofits of those seaborne ships, and be retrofits..." she finally smirked. "I'm talking major retrofits."
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) (I'll post for Yev and Ari after Yuffie posts) -Jadis- The elf pouted upon Fiora's words and departure. He didn't enjoy being treated like a child, yet everyone didn't seem to care at all that he was elven and could indeed use magic. Before ensuring that Krea and Jadis were safely inside, Fiora bound away to the battle. A part of Jadis longed to go with them. After all, it was his town, and he too had magic that could aid the battle. His thoughts strayed, however, when he heard a low hiss from a strange serpentine man nearby. By then Fiora was already gone, leaving Krea and Jadis alone. The younger elf yelped and grasped on to Jadis's hand, her eyes wide and fixated on David. The boy had no choice but to keep his cool. "Sorry, but you're going to have to ask the inn keeper about that. For now, this is our room and you can't stay here without, Mister, uh"--Jadis glanced over his shoulder toward Rufus, the man whose name he didn't know--"that guy's permission, so we'll be on our way now." Without another word, Jadis strode past David, with Krea in tow, still clutching on to Jadis's hand and giving David a cool stare. She was hoisted up onto the windowsill and into Rufus's room with Jadis's aid, the blue-haired mage shortly behind her. They had no choice but to stay there . . . for now. That moment when Henry locked eyes with Peashy a thought popped into her beating head "He's eyes...they look friendly" thought Peashy as just then Henry knocked her claws upwards not only totally surprising her again but confused her. Before Peashy knew what happened she was kicked hard straight through the bedroom wall crashing into the next house "Uhh?...Arg, HAAAA!!!" screamed Peashy as she stood up still in ragged by the food balls effects. Peashy looked around with fast eyes looking for a target to kill, Peashy then saw some elves within the house she was kicked into & without thought or reason Peashy killed them off in no time by slashing them to death "AAAAHHHH!!!! STOP HURTING ME!!" screamed Peashy continually stabbing & slashing an already dead elf villager completely forgetting about Henry. -Uzume- "So...I'm here, at the front gates" said Uzume as she clenched her fist feeling this serious moment in her heart & preparing for a fight within her mind as she stood outside the gates to the very core of the empire, Langerdon city. Uzume closed her eyes for a moment before yelling out "HEY!! EMPIRE!! OPEN THIS GATE & FACE YOUR FINAL MOMENT!!" tho in Uzume's head she wasn't even sure this was the best thing she should be doing alone "Even if the emperor himself comes out from those gates I can't back down now, I won't give up this fight for freedom. I WON'T!" thought Uzume as she prepared herself for whatever shall come out from those big gate doors.
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted October 5, 2015 ~Vortludo & Tekanorojia~ Teka stood back up in frustration as the alcohol bottles fell down onto her. She glared at Yevgeni, who was controlling the idiotic move. What fool really thought that glass would pierce Demonic Armor? She clenched her fist and a pillar of earth bloomed out of the ground under the half-angel's feet in an attempt to throw him away. But before she could bend her focus to the others once more, the first bomb hit. The Demoness quickly glanced to the pitcher, just to find another bomb that impacted just right. The flaming explosion blew her back once more, and though the actual flames did little, the pressure of the explosion had knocked Teka off balance yet again. Slade just then decided to use his demon hunting bullets, who knew that they made those, and unloaded a clip into her chest. Teka fell back, the bullets piercing through her armor as intended. Now on the floor, Tekanorojia began to breathe frantically. What was this? She was Teka, a Demon of unparalleled strength! Yet she was being pushed back, even harmed by these pitiful rebels. No matter. She would have the last laugh. Which suit was she in? Oh yes, Gaea. Teka hammered the ground with her fist, and the ground of the tavern began to shake violently. Cracks began to appear in the ground as the last of the furniture began to be destroyed. Vortludo glanced around. What could he do? He had to do many things, not the least of which was save the civilians. His emerald necklace glowed with magical power as he summoned a huge gust of wind to gracefully pick up the young lady and place her outside the establishment, where hopefully she would be safe. He also summoned a similar gust to blow the three men in the corner through the weakening walls and out into the street. The Noble looked to his three companions. "Worry not my brothers-in-arms! This shall not be remembered as a tale of valiant sacrifice to fell the ancient demon, but rather a heroic epic to our triumph!" He said, pulling out a small coin from the inside of his jacket. The artifact was well known to be able to teleport small groups of people to a known destination. He flipped it, and once it landed on the ground, the four rebels vanished into thin air. Soon after their departure, the Dark Horse Tavern collapsed. ~Vortludo~ The Noble, the Elder Rebel, the Half-Angel, and the Witcher found themselves on a seashore. Vortludo smiled to all three. "Welcome to the forgotten isle cousins! Our base of operations stands off in the distance, silhouetted so beautifully by the sunset. My sincere apologies Witcher, I would have transported you elsewhere, but ancient magic does have its limits!" Vortludo said cheerfully to everybody as he bent down and picked up his coin from the ground. ~Ryonne & Viridem~ "Thanks for the offer of troops," Ryonne started to speak. Viridem caught his eye. Oh no. "Don't you dare say it," She muttered, just loud enough for everyone to hear. "But we'll do it by ourselves." He completed the thought, changing his glance from his partner to Eclaire. "The troops will be needed elsewhere anyway." He said with a nod. Viridem just shook her head. "I swear, you never learn." She said to herself before looking to Eclaire herself. "Sounds like a decent plan. Just... Ah nevermind. You covered everything. As long as our distraction functions as well as you intend it to." She said, nodding in agreement with Eclaire. ~The Crow's Eyes~ "...two to steal as much as you can as you burn those bases down. We have the mobile suits, the Kusanagi...we have the Oathkeeper on payroll, until we bring him in fully...and we have you all." The Rebel Commander's voice came in loud and clear through all the earpieces of the Crow's Eyes. "Oh come on!" Scherp cried out, throwing down his cards in frustration. "Shut it Scherp, I'd like to hear what's going on." Heksen said from across the room, as he sat twirling his knife between his fingers. "But this is the sixth blackjack in a row! Die must be cheating." Scherp claimed as Die grabbed Scherp's bet (half a cheese sandwich) and the cards and shuffled them again. Lan shook his head. He was sitting across from Hesken, keeping a wary eye on the receiver of the signal. "Who are you playing with again?" Lan asked the gambler quietly. "Die." Scherp responded sharply. As soon as he said it, he looked down in shame. "And Die doesn't leave things to chance..." He muttered, realizing his fault. "Exactly." Lan finished, having successfully awakened Scherp to his mistakes. Die always cheats at games. "Hey Die, how about some hands of crazy eights?" Scherp asked. "You don't think I can cheat at crazy eights?" Die responded, looking up at the sniper while continuing to shuffle. "Not as well." The dark skinned sharpshooter challenged. "Alright then." Die said with a mischievous grin, beginning to deal the cards. "Can we be quiet now? I'm certain that our dear Naja is not happy being distracted by your guys' nonsense." Kol asked the group while staring at a mirror, altering her appearance piece by piece. "Yes please." Naja whispered into the comms. She was standing precariously on the outer windowsill of the war room of the Order of Lux. The Wraith was invisible, but that did not help her nerves as she kept the microphone steady against the glass so that the transmission was not interrupted. Any noise the she might make was also masked by the roaring winds. She was quite high up after all. Not that she made noise. She never made noise. ~Neena~ Neena summoned a shield of light, taking the hit from Ariana's feet. She grunted a little as she worked to stay standing. Next came the whirlwind of slashes, from nearly every direction. Neena came out of her defensive position and stayed light on her toes as she raised her shield to block the first blow, then moved her blade to block the second, and on and on, keeping a vigilant watch for each move. Finally Neena had enough of parrying strikes. She moved her blade to block both katanas simultaneously, then pushed forward to shield bash the woman. It was about that time that the firebolt came out of nowhere, targeting the Imperial Demon. Neena glanced quickly to the source, and understood that it was a mage. She smiled, glad for the help. Neena took the opportunity to really turn it up a notch. She flipped backwards, and in midair, activated her Dark Form. Her skin paled to a ghostly white, her hair become dark as midnight, and far longer, her traditional clothing changed to a short black dress with black lace trim, and her sandals switched to a pair of knee high black leather boots. Once she landed, Neena raised her head to meet Ariana's gaze. Her eyes had turned yellow. She dashed forward with incredible speed, slicing quickly with her ninjato. Behind her, darkness began to form in very small pieces, particles of pure dark energy. The Assassin finished her combo of attacks with a forward flip, landing on the other side of Ariana. The dark particles launched forward as well, right into Ariana. ~The Doctor~ The Doctor was a fearless man. He met Plutia's glare with a sharp gaze of his own. "It matters not who bumped into who, but rather whose fault it was. When entering a walkway such as this, one should always look both ways in order to make sure there is no one in the way. This is common sense, which of course, I should not anticipate morons like you to understand." His eyes glanced towards her blade. "And do not threaten me. It will only end in misery for everyone involved." He said sharply. He had of course noticed the attitude of his pets. They spoke to him telepathically, thanks to his Lion Tamer tanzynite, and they said that they were scared. 'Don't be. She is of no consequence. Besides, we will be leaving shortly anyway.' He replied to all of them in his mind. His eyes shot to Dex, who had apologized, as the Doctor had wanted. Doctor Verstand smiled hesitantly towards the man. "Your excused. Now depart at once. I wish to see what this woman deigns to say next, and I don't wish for an upstanding citizen such as yourself to get caught in the crossfire." The Doctor said, looking back towards the woman. Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted October 7, 2015 -Yevgeni- The blond's senses were heightened upon using his telekinesis tanzynite, permitting him the shallow ability to sense Teka's thoughts. She was too strong of a demon for him to be able to discern everything that she was thinking, but he could sense that she intending to attack him, and soon. Sure enough, the rumbling in the ground gave him enough of a cue to teleport, disappearing only moments before a pillar of earth would've sent him up to kiss the tavern ceiling. He reappeared in the room with Tekanorojia, alongside his new comrades. It surprised him greatly when Vortludo snatched a coin from his pocket and threw it. Within a moment's passing they reappeared on a seaside that was entirely unfamiliar to Yev. His breath seized in his chest. True to Vortludo's word, Yev could indeed make out a structure in the horizon. Turrets soared into the sky, indicating that a palace or fortress probably resided out there. The blond took a step forward, clenching his fists. "So this is the Kingdom of Orience," he murmured, shifting to glance at the others over his shoulder. "Vortludo, can you take me in to meet your leader? I would like to share a few words with her." -Ariana- She had to hand it to the ninja elf; she was fast on her feet. She'd managed to parry every one of Ariana's attacks, finally thrusting her own blades toward her. It was then that a blast of flames came shooting her way from the distance. It fell low, however, licking only the edges of her cape and searing a hole into the snow. When her guard was down Neena performed a back-flip and changed forms. She was apparently in a form resembling darkness, her eyes a bright yellow. A slight grin gripped the edges of Ari's mouth as she chortled. "Two can play at that game." Raising her twin katanas in a cross, Ari shielded herself from Neena's blows. She was surprised, however, when the orbs of darkness came flying in her direction. Instead of fight them off, however, Ari relaxed and outstretched her arms. Her body pulsed with dark energy as purple mist danced off of her form. The dark orbs bounced against her form, but instead of harming her in any way it seemed that she actually absorbed them. Letting out a sigh, Ariana turned to face her opponent, her eyes too turning a sickening shade of yellow. The woman was hardly recognizable as she tapped into her tanzynite sources. "You mustn't forget, my dear one, that I am darkness. You can never get the better of me when playing my own game!" Ari extended a hand, and a wave of pure dark energy extended forward, causing the air itself to shudder violently. She took a step forward, and as she did so demonic wings had protruded from her back. The tanzynite-augmented woman suddenly leaped into action, sending a number of katana blows her way when she'd hoped that her wave of darkness made her unstable. She was concerned about the source of the firebolt, but she planned to take Neena out first before proceeding onto the newcomer. She assumed it was probably just a residential rebel wanting to make a stand.
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted October 8, 2015 - Henry hansees - (I apologize in advance, but I think its appropriate for Peashy to be thrown through another wall ) Henry followed after Peashy as she as flung across to another house, with rubble and smoke on the way, he figured she didn't go far, in fact, she didn't go anywhere as he came upon her slashing another corpse, clenching his hands as they were covered in dread rocks, as Henry simply had a serious tone, but this time, his eyes were flashing red, as he accumulated power more dread rocks could be seen forming around his arms, legs and chests, he simply walked over to Peashy, who hadn't aknowledged his presence yet, too focused on slashign the corpse, forcefully grabbing her arm as she attempted another slash at the corpse, Henry simply flung her accross another wall, this time, she landed near Ariana and Neena were located, Henry walked out of the rubble with even more rocks surrounding him, his eyes with getting a more red shine the more he charged. "Hey elf girl? need help?" he asked as he noticed Neena fighting Ariana, he didn't even know this girl, and considering the threw a fireball at him earlier didn't help him trusting her, but he hoped she'd see reason, half ready to throw a corrupted darkness orb at Ariana, knowing it was augmented with the dreadnaught Tanzynite, it was "Tainted" per say, she wouldn't be able to absorb it easily in that case. - Mikhail Crad - Mikhail was surprised Teka was still standing, after taking a bomb to the face, and several gunshots made ot take out demons, he was surprised she still had the power to crush the tavern, he was ready to use a quen shield, but Vortludo soon teleported all of them away...to the Order's base...he so hated being teleported, he looked at Vortludo as the man apologized and gave a frown, "Well, least we're alive...and in the order's base it seems..." He said looking large silhoueted in the distance. "I was thinking of stopping by, got money to collect, won some card games with some troops here, they still owe me money, now's the time I guess" He said with a sigh as he sheathed his silver sword. - Grabriel Stross - Gabriel was sitting in his chair, pressing buttons on his keyboards as a security camera screen popped up, the front doors, they had an unexpected visitor, a woman, just...standing there, shouting at the door. a large interrogation point appeared as a hologram in front of him, he unconcioussly made his suit process that, that happened way to often. He decided to tap into the camera's screen, and waited to see what would happen, if intervention was needed, he'd send it. meanwhile the Sahala mech was finishing being scanned and reconstructed through the system, the data of it saved, so it could be transported easily through outposts, although he had other defenses in mind, while Sahala was extremely powerful, "The Twins" were his masterpiece... - Dex - "Right..." he said in a low tone as he walked beside the Doctor and left the scene, not before casting a small, impossible to be felt spell at the phoenix, taking the opportunity as the man was looking back at the woman, and his pets no doubt were too, as it was now "infected" by Oryx's power, without knowing, this bird would become his eyes an ears in whatever the Doctor would be doing, walking out of the alleyway and stopping, to wait for what Plutia would do, "When were you planning on telling me Plutia was still around?" he asked silently to Oryx. "I wasn't." Oryx replied within Dex's mind.
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) -Slade Joseph Wilson- Slade smirked under his helmet as his bullets impacted quite satisfyingly upon and through the Demoness's armour, but he was not too impressed with her immediate ground pound that threatened to bury them using the Tavern which started collapsing around them furiously. "Never fight fair, do you? Can't you die with some form of dignity and honour?" He shouted, steadying himself, trying to look for a kill opportunity, but it never came, so he had to wish something would get them out of it... The flip of a coin... Vortludo's trusty little coin trick saved them by the skin of their teeth AND took them to the Order HQ. Slade was able to relax and reloaded his Desert Eagle with regular bullets and holstered it. "Next time we see her, she is dead. Then Korben will be one less a concubine." He noted with jest and seriousness, then looked to Yevgeni. "I imagine Eclaire will be in a meeting, but I don't see an issue." Slade answered her request. -Azrael/Masked Man- "Clearly, you're deaf." He snarked, then spoke again. "Allow me passage and I will tell. I do not appreciate your intolerance of a humble Demon such as I." He noted. -Nolan "Arkham" Vigil- Nolan listened intently for a while, but his eyes widened when he realized the scale of such a plan. He sat up and spoke aloud. "Eclaire? I'm sorry but...are you certain about this plan? We don't have the weapons nor the resources and manpower to take down the Empire Citadel or even half of what you suggest! I'm not one for insubordination but surely, this is not a wise move...?" He asked, becoming somewhat worried that Eclaire was being impulsive....again. -Emperor Korben- Korben awoke from his slumber, his eye flames reigniting as he sat up and looked around. "Hmm...." He uttered, then rose up from his throne and began glowing furiously as he sensed events moving...then teleported straight to Gabriel's location, something of a rare occurrence and spoke. "Gabriel. Sit rep. Inventory. Now." He demanded, to the point. Edited October 8, 2015 by SuperiorKunivas
