icenick100 2 Posted September 1, 2015 It's been awhile since i've been on the site, but just wondering what is anyone's guess on the release date of Kingdom Hearts 3? Also, what kind of info do you think we will get from D23 Japan? I am hoping we get a new trailer with the release date but i would like to know everyone's thoughts. Considering with games now they usually announce release dates a six months to a year before the game comes out. Nomura said he and the team were finalising a release date (two months ago) so it must be close to being revealed. Personally, I'd settle for gameplay at Sanfransokyo, reveals of certain characters and an announcement for Treasure Planet. Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted September 1, 2015 Well, I was hoping for a November 2016 release, but since we aren't getting a release date for Final Fantasy XV until March 2016, which is when I was expecting the actual release, it seems more likely that FFXV will come out in November, pushing KH3 to sometime early in 2017. D23 Japan is nearer Christmas: chances are, Peter Del Vecho will announce Frozen for Kingdom Hearts 3 and he'll be the Braig/Xigbar irl. Kingdom Hearts 3 probably be released in 2018 or 2020. Who knows really. Square Enix are known to take lots of time in development. This isn't Final Fantasy XIII Versus to Final Fantasy 15. FFXV went through development hell as FFXIII versus and what it is now, plus Tetsuya Nomura isn't really directly related to it any more at least in terms of directing, so it wouldn't be that unheard of for KH3 to have a release date announced before FFXV does. Either Winter 2016 or Spring 2017. This is my estimate, too. But they definitely will space it out from the release of FFXV, whenever that is, so 2017 is definitely seeming more likely. & we're definitely getting new footage, it's just a question of what. I'm hoping to see a little bit of San Fransokyo in action but more than I anything I want to see Riku and Kairi. soraspromise 380 Posted September 3, 2015 I'm actually beginning to think Winter 2016 is out of the question just because Square Enix already has a large amount of games coming out at that time of the year. FFXV doesn't have a release date but it's confirmed for 2016 and they're not announcing the release date until March, so I don't think it'll be coming out until winter or late fall at the earliest.
