Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted August 31, 2015 (edited) So I decided to watch the intro of Dream Drop Distance just for fun but I decided to slow down the video at the end (the part where it shows the final battle between Xehanort and the Guardians of Light) and I noticed that Roxas at the end is wielding both Oblivion and Oathkeeper. You can definitely see Oblivion in his right hand but can't actually see Oatkeeper, except for its keychain. It's nothing really important or anything special. Just thought it'd be interesting to show. Pokemoncuzzie 271 Posted August 31, 2015 Just to build on this, is there any significance of Roxas being in the opening? I thought it was hinting his return, but I don't know if that is the case.

Felixx 6,646 Posted August 31, 2015 That's pretty cool, I never noticed that. I wish Roxas could dual-wield in KH3, but I guess when Ventus is back, there's no chance that's gonna happen.

Maybe, just maybe, Ventus will pass down that trait to Roxas to make him unique. He's as much of Ventus as he is Sora.

After all Roxas is the nobody of two keyblade wielders, maybe he still can dual-wield. I'd love that, since he was the first to dual-wield, and it would make him unique, like Ventus who holds his keyblade backwards. (of course he won't be a nobody anymore in KH3 and will have his own heart, but he's still connected to Sora and Ventus) Edited August 31, 2015 by Felixx
Revolart 431 Posted August 31, 2015 I was rather curious with what Roxas was using in the KH3D opening. Now I know.
Vexen 73 Posted September 7, 2015 I believe it has been confirmed that the scene isn't canon. However, Roxas will return, and he will hopefully be able to weild both the Oathkeeper and Oblivion like he used to.
