Roleplay Kingdom Hearts Re: Fade Into Light (RP Thread)

Recommended Posts

"Aww! Okay, okay. We'll go." Saki said, sounding a little disappointed, but his energy still kept going! But the only right now was...

"Wait...What are we going to do about Lisa? If we take her inside, people might freak out!" He mentioned. Lisa tilted her head. The group was used to her now? Why couldn't they take her? Other humans could befriend a heartless, right?

"Lisa, would you mind staying guard with Master Zion and Allit while we're gone? It'll only be a little while." He asked the Bouncywild. As with every answer, Lisa nodded. She was truly loyal to the one that protected her from getting defeated. She ran next to Allit and giggled. "Great! I hope she doesn't cause too much trouble." Saki said.

-Artemis Thornton-

"Hmph." Was all Artemis could say to the Seeker of Light, as far as he was concerned she was, and remained silent for the rest of their trip to the Restaurant, in which most of the group went into eat, some were forced to...and Zion and Allitt stood watch outside. Artemis remained sceptical and distrusting of Allitt, even though she was a weakling compared to them...she could still hurt them in other ways.

"Good thing I'm not hungry..." He thought to himself as he stepped out of the restaurant and leaned against the wall, folding his arms and staring off at Zion and Allitt, keeping quiet with a glare upon his expression.

"Why....why, why, why? Why now? What's different....why is she....?" He said to himself quietly, looking down at the ground. "Why...why why why...?" His repeated uttering of "Why" swiftly became a mantra of madness, lightly hitting the back of his head against the wall every time he said it, almost like....he couldn't help himself....or even stop himself. His mind started racing: Why was she here? Why did she get released upon asking? Why did she leave in the first place? Why isn't she dead or restrained? Why...is she so pretty?

"Ugh...why?" He expressed disgust at himself for even thinking that, his usually calm stature and exterior had left him and he was unusually skittish.... "Artemis....get a damn grip on yourself, man...." He spoke harshly to himself, then reclined again, his eyes fixated on the two again.

"One, two, three, four.....one, two, three, four...one, two, three, four..." He said this quietly to himself, tapping in a speedy 4-beat rhythm with his unfolded hands on the wall behind him, at the same time as he speaks...calming down significantly, but still seemed disturbed...even through his euphoric expression of bliss and calmness as his brain eased.

"*Sigh*....she's driving me insane....or bringing it out again." He thought silently...and remained outside, watching them.

-Luna "Nephilim" Urbane-

Luna went along with things quietly, even as she got to the restaurant, ate some food and reclined in her seat near a window thoughtfully, Katana on the floor vertically and her right hand resting upon it as she looked around and thought...

"Hmm....Master Zion...ohh, she's practically a goddess....didn't think I'd be her new plaything though. I'm not complaining, but....what if I'm nothing more than a plaything? Am I anything meaningful to her? Or was that lost with....something that happened to her? What did happen? And....why did she cry on the ship...? She....she did embrace me.....maybe...." Her thoughts were cut short as she caught Artemis standing outside, acting....strange.

This, to Luna, was a familiar sight.

"I say....it's happening again? But....it's been years since his last..." Luna knew Artemis well....perhaps, too well. He was the only person so far who could call her "Luna" and he opened up about some more of his past only to her...and now, it's effects still ring true in his head.

"I hope he'll be all right...." She muttered, worried for him.

~Somrene~

After Zion hung up on him, Somrene sighed. Hopefully the guys on the other side would be fine. They did have Zion though, and she was unquestionably powerful. He made his way back to the infirmary, where Rei and Indy still were. And they were kissing. He smiled a little bit, but stayed quiet. After they were done, he cleared his throat loudly. "Assuming we're not leaving yet, then I'll be in the kitchen. You two can carry on, get to know each other. Orias can you show me to the galley? I'm really feeling a bowl of cereal." The Darkling said, teasing just a little, but mostly just happy for them.

~Ember~

The Ninja cheered when the foot broke under her blade. But of course, the other gave her no reprieve, immediately stamping towards her. She turned quickly, and readied her blade once more. Ember watched and waited right until it was about to land on top of her. She dashed to the other side then spun on her heel, slashing quickly with her blade, coating the weapon with magic ice as she did so.

-Zion-

She studied Lisa.

"Allitt, ever hear the theory of Heartless and Nobodies?" She asked thoughtfully.

-Rei-

She pulled away from Indy, blushing.

"Uhm...we know each other..." she hid behind him. "Don't tell anyone..."

Orias coughed. "Follow the gren arrows to the kitchen, Somrene."

After more attacks, the remaining hand and foot also disappeared in a puff of smoke. This left just the main body, which was now spinning towards Nexus since no one else had kept it busy. The body began to spin faster, potentially leading to a more devastating attack if it were to connect...

Allitt was a little... surprised when Raz suddenly passed out in front of her. "Uh... Zion? I think one of your students needs some help." She informed the Keyblade Master, though Allitt didn't sound like she cared too much anyway. After all, she had no plans to stick with these people for too long. "You might want to do something for him before you start trying to get a conversation going." She sighed. "Also, yes, I have heard the theory. Just before leaving the academy, actually. If both are destroyed, they both reform the initial being." She tried to focus, although someone's constant outbursts behind her got a little distracting. "What are you going on about?" She asked Artemis. "If you want to talk, you might as well join us over here."

Meanwhile, the group that entered the restaurant would be greeted by a woman with a rater monotone voice. "Welcome, how can I help you?" She asked. There were a group of open seats nearby. "If you need menus, they're on the tables. By the way, our special is half-off for today only. Enjoy your stay." Most of the tables were open, except for one housing an old woman and a muscular man.

Indy jumped when Somrene suddenly returned. Of all the times for him to show up... He normally would have asked about how things were going for the other side, but Somrene seemed like he was about to leave, anyway. Indy was also surprised by how nervous Rei seemed to be. That's usually my thing... "Er, y-yeah, we do know each other very well... and I also agree with Rei that it would be great if you didn't tell anyone." He began to stutter a bit.

Aello nodded as Saki pointed out the language barrier issue. "I will become the master of charades!" She declared. If that was the only way around it, then that was what she would do. Then she turned back to the others and listened as they approached a strange looking restraint. She sighed as Master Zion pushed them into the building. There was no choice in this matter, apparently. They would have to take a break in their adventure. Oh well! They were already here so they might as well look at the menu! The student bounced over to an open table and sat down, flipping a menu upside down because reading right side up was boring. "Woah!" She exclaimed, "I don't know what half of these things are, but the names sound exciting!" Especially when they were foreign words to Aello, and read upside down. Figuring out the letters that way gave you time to think and acknowledge how good they sounded put together.

Lisa, being next to Allit, overheard this. What about a Heartless and Nobody being destroyed?.....Oh no. They are out to get her. She took a few steps away from the two women. About 7 steps back should be fine.

Meanwhile, back in the restaurant, Saki was looking over at Aello's menu since he was sitting next her. He couldn't help but giggle at some of the names. But then he smelled something. What else could it be? The food of course. The food. It smelled very tasty! He stood up on his tippy-toes and looked back to see at least two tables away, some food was being served. It just looked delicious! He wanted it. He wanted to eat it. Now. Although the only way to get without pay...Was to sneak it.

Thank god he was a Street Rat.

But then...There would be major consequences if he got caught taking it. Plus, that muscular guy might have a fit! He didn't want that! What should he do? Saki was hungry! If only there was someway to disguise himself....That would be very helpful. Or for someway to distract the people. Saki sat back and whispered to Aello.

"Psst! You wanna do something sneaky?" He whispered quietly for only Aello to hear.

-Rei-

Rocking on her heels, she slid behind Indy and hopped onto his back.

"We should get going..."

-Zion-

Eyeing the monkey, she sighs. "I think Lisa here...sacrificed herself. She's sentient, something Heartless do not do...and since she's a very kind soul, I think that Lisa gave her life for good, and it's why she has this kindness, this...well, reluctance to hurt. It makes sense, since that's what happened to Sora when he released Kairi's heart from his own body."

She looked at Allitt. "Not all darkness is evil. I'd think you'd have understood that when you were at school. A sword is not inherently evil, yet we condemn swords when they slay innocents. Such backwards thinking."

-Artemis Thornton-

Artemis quietly sighed, his 4-beat rhythm ceased as he held his now unsheathed Katana in hand, but kept it low and dangling in his hand as to not stab anyone. He walked over to the duo and the Heartless and spoke. "That Heartless...is unlike any other I've ever seen. Maybe it has a nobody, who knows?" He said, looking at Lisa, then back at the other two, only now did the fact that Zion was talking to Allitt click in his head. "Master Zion, you're talking with this Traitor? Or Treacherous Spy? Pfft, either way she will betray someone...do not forget that she abandoned us years ago for those, Seekers of Light." Artemis warned, then looked at the blade of his Katana thoughtfully as he held it up in front of him...then pointed it at Lisa. "Kind Heartless, but a Heartless regardless." Then pointed it at Allitt. "Pretty girl, but a Traitor." Then he sheathed the sword, adjusted his hair and...seemed to calm down significantly.

"How long until you betray us? Hmm?" He asked.

"Ha! Gotcha!" Raidyn cried in victory as the hand materialized into nothing. He landed on the ground somewhat lightly, but it was clear that in the midst of his excitment, he had forgotten just how bit the toll his actions were taking on his body.

Landing on his feet, he felt a sharp pain in his chest and dropped to one knee, holding himself up with his hand on the ground and the other on his knee. Agh... what the... aw, man... I went too far... he thought.

However, he noticed that the remaining torso of the Guard Armor was closing in on his his teammate Nexus. At the same time, Toshi noticed this as well, and knowin tg that it would put her in harm's way, the most harm she would probably experience so far, she tried to help.

But, using his remaining energy, Raidyn sped towards the Armor, jumping upwards and using Shockwave to block the incoming attack. He caught himself before landing on the ground, flipping onto his feet, but again he felt the pain in his chest wear him down to his knees.

"R-Raidyn, are you alright?" Toshi asked him after his landing.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm good... just a little shaken up is all," Raidyn lied. He tried to hide his pain as best as he could so that Toshi wouldn't be suspicious.

(Axel points out Raz and then everyone else ignores him. Y'all are some real nice guys.)

Joel hadn't seen Raz faint, but he did hear Allitt mention the fact. As everyone was going into the restaurant, Joel went back to grab him. He could probably use some food the most, Joel thought as he brought his teammate into the restaurant.

Joel (and Raz) arrived just in time to hear something about a special. Joel put Raz down in the nearest chair and sat down to look at the menu. The items that were being served were... a bit strange. Well, different world, different culture, I guess.

"So... who wants to try the special?" Joel asked to the rest of the group.

(Man, this is the most shifts in one post to date.)

Annistha stopped firing at the Body when she saw it was coming towards her, then gave a big grin.

[Nexus Shift]

The same grin was on Zather's face as he dropped the Gunblade and took his Keyblade in both hands. With that kind of spinning speed, all he had to do was to get to one side, stick out his blade and let the Heartless's own momentum do the work. He was tensing up to run at the Body when Raidyn blocked its advance.

"Great." Zather said between clinched teeth.

With the block, his former plan wasn't going to be effective.

[Nexus Shift]

"He means thank you!" Annistha called to Raidyn as she somersaulted to the side, picking up the Gunblade again as she went.

[Nexus Shift]

Running as soon as his feet landed, Zather charged the Guard Armor's Body at full speed.

[Nexus Shift]

Nearly on the Heartless, Annistha took charge and turned Zather's forward momentum into a jump, lunching them high into the air.

[Nexus Shift]

Dropping like a stone, Zather used his weight and Dark strength to begin a strike starting at the top of the Heartless, moving down to the bottom.

[Nexus Shift]

As the blades bit into the Heartless, Annistha let off a couple Ruin spells inside the Guard Armor's defenses through the tips of her blades.

[Nexus Shift]

Zather added one last bit of power to push the blades down through the lower edge of the main body, ending in a crouch on the ground.

"Er, y-yeah, we do know each other very well... and I also agree with Rei that it would be great if you didn't tell anyone." He began to stutter a bit.

Diego sighed, as he pushed himself off of the wall he was leaning against. He wobbled a little bit, then stood upright. "You try and take one break, just to recuperate, and they can't even properly kill a heartless," he complained, mostly to himself. "Now, David, ready to destroy this... thing?" he asked, turning to his friend.

"Yessiree!" replied an enthusiastic David. Then, pausing a little bit for Raidyn and Toshi to do their stuff, he started his attack, alongside Diego. First, he ran right up to the torso, and drew its attention with a few quick strikes. The torso then started to spin around violently, aiming at David. This was Diego's cue. He summoned up his strength, and cast Stop. As he started off with a few blows of his own, David started a few volleys of Fire, hoping that the accumulated damage would do something.

Three seconds later, Diego ran backwards and David held up his keyblade in self-defence. He didn't know how badly the Guard Armor was damaged, so he could only hope that they had done enough damage.

Diego was collapsed not too far away from the Guard Armor, still not fully healed from his previous injuries, and the exertion of having to fight the Armor had proven too much.

(Basically, if this doesn't destroy the GA, then Diego's out of the fight until it's over!

... Which is a purely self-imposed thing, likely to change if needed.)

"Ugh...wish me luck" Maximilian said to Joel as he called the waitress, "I'd like today's special, please..." he said, he had a horrible feeling about this, his gut practically told him that if he did this, he would not come back the same...

He did noticed Artemis acting...shifty, looking back time and time again back at Allit. "Um, Artemis is acting a little weird..." Max spoke with Joel.

She held on.

"Let's see if this works."

And so...that's how Rei teleported them into the air. She laughed like a lunatic, then grabbed Indy's hand as they began falling.

"Hey look, giant Heartless. Think we can do this?" She grinned, her Keyblade out and ready.

"Did you think I was joking about that bowl of cereal? I was hungry." Somrene commented, but he had a kind of mocking smile. He summoned Rapture to his hand, and cast gravity on himself. His personal gravity was magnified, and he fell far faster. He aimed his strike right at the heartless' head. He swung hard, his strike having more weight to it with the assistance of the gravity spell still in effect. Of course, the unfortunate part of gravity is that it doesn't stop until you reach the ground. He reached the floor, sending a slight shockwave around him, and the spell ended. He was next to Nexus, to whom he gave a toothy grin. "Flashy entrances are the fun part of this job." He said. Ember appeared next to him, firing off lightning and ice towards the main body.

"Hey bro! You're back!" The Ninja said with a smile.

Indy was... a bit shocked by the sudden teleportation, but it beat walking down. Luckily for them, they managed to appear right by the others. Perfect. He turned back to Rei, also grinning. Something about falling through the air got him energetic. "Heh, yeah. This thing won't be a problem." He summoned his Keyblade in his free hand. Once the two had fallen close enough to the Heartless, he prepared for an attack. He landed on the Guard Armor, stabbing into its back with his Keyblade. He turned over to Rei, expecting her to do the same thing.

"Alright. One special, coming up." The old woman told the chef in the back, her monotonous voice still in use. "What about your friends back there?" She asked, looking at the other students who had arrived.

Outside the restaurant, Allitt listened to Zion's short speech. "... It's still a Heartless, though. Even if it can show signs of kindness, how can you trust it? These are the things that attack innocent people. For all you know, it could turn against you soon." She turned. "The darkness can't be trusted. It's that simple." Afterwards, Artemis began to question her once again. She sighed. "Didn't I already advise that you not act so hostile towards those who are willing to work with you? Complimenting my looks isn't going to make me change that statement. You really should try to be a little more open to others." She spoke coldly.

"I simply don't trust people with some form of Chronic Backstabbing Disorder, or whatever it is you have. Your looks are....i-irrelevant." He was calm up until his last word, which he stammered and stuttered, then shook his head rapidly. "And it's not that simple, Deceiver. I can't simply open up to people in a flash, especially when I have better and more important things to do than socialize and give my life story. I don't trust many people and I certainly don't trust you unless you can prove otherwise." Artemis explained, pacing to the left, then the right as he spoke, then stopped in front of them both again.

"And while I understand your unwillingness to trust a Heartless, you should desist in your Darkness Hatred. One of our greatest heroes was one of the Dark, with his best friend of Light." He went on to add in response to her dislike of Darkness.

He then looked at Lisa, then Zion and finally Allitt in silence for a few moments, then looked away with his eyes closed...the sound was ringing in his head again, getting louder with each second, coupled with his annoying liking of Allitt's appearance, they were driving him nuts. "Can't you hear it...?" He asked quietly, rhetorically, but with a slightly shaky and disturbed voice....

"Anyway!" He said aloud, turning to face them with his usual composure. "Are you suggesting we kill Lisa? Then locate her Nobody and do the same?" He asked curiously.

Lucas called over to the chef. "I'LL HAVE THE ALPACA SPECIAL PLEASE, WITH EXTRA SAUCE ON THE SIDE!"He then looked out the window again to listen in on what Zion was telling Alitt and the others. He wasn't sure if it was just the way he felt towards her, but he didn't think she was really bad. He wanted to make up for how he messed up the first time talking to her, and wanted to give her a chance before they outcasted her if it was neccessary.

She stabbed the GA in the back as well, then jumped off.

"One more strike is all we need!" She said. "Ready, Indy?"

-Zion-

"Maybe, Artemis. Maybe." Was all she said.

Then she looked at Allitt. "No. If a Heartless does not attack, it is one like Sora became. And if it attacks, it dies. So quiet down."

"Well, uh, it's not really much of a lie." Indy laughed nervously. He then whispered to Rei. "Uh... didn't you ask Somrene to not tell anyone about this? Because you're making it pretty obvious for someone who seemed nervous about other people finding out."

"I get it, I get it. You can think of a few more examples." Allitt groaned. "I can think of far more that go against what you're saying, though."

Back inside the restaurant, another order was put in for Lucas' special. At the same time, someone walked out carrying Max's... dish. Once the lid to the platter was removed, it could be seen inside that there was a large pill bug, curled up into a ball. The waiter hit it with a wooden spoon, causing it to open and show... some sort of yellow substance on the inside. "Enjoy!" The water said, then walked off, proud of his own work.

Shortly after, two more people walked into the restaurant. "Hello!" A rather enthusiastic voice exclaimed. It sounded like a man trying to do his best impression of a woman's voice. The two who had entered were Pacha and Kuzco, thogh Kuzco was wearing Pacha's poncho, along with quite a bit of makeup. The two went to order their food, hoping that Kuzco's terrible disguise would work.
