"Well, the fire's more of a point of reference so we can all regroup here and stuff," Joel explained as Max started staggering. "Although... I suppose Zion could probably track us and just teleport the others here. But Art and I can't do that... Uh, I guess you should stay here for now, Max," he added, finally noticing his comrade's condition.

He examined the area where Max was crouching, then turned to Artemis. "We could just follow Kuzco's hoof prints and/or Pacha's footprints. I guess we should get moving now, though, so we can actually see their tracks."

"Well, try not to get into too much trouble, guys," Joel said to the others as he started following the emperor's trail.

Allitt would have preferred to just chase after the llama herself, but this wasn't a time to cause trouble. Instead, she sighed, reluctantly following Joel's orders. "Alright, I'll make sure we get a fire going soon." She responded, sounding slightly disappointed. Artemis' comments didn't necessarily anger her, but didn't make her feel any better, either. "Try to keep my chin up?" Does this guy even know what I'm going through right now...? She kept her thoughts to herself, although at this point, she was starting to break a bit. It was setting in that her only allies might have just abandoned her... She wasn't sure what sort of positive outcome she could have. She still didn't even know if she could trust the group she had just joined temporarily. There was too much on her mind right now... Saki's question from before didn't help at all, either. She followed the boy and his Heartless companion, joining them in picking up any supplies she thought could be of use. After remaining silent for a little bit, she decided to answer Saki's question... She couldn't really stand the silence. "... I used to have friends." She muttered. "I'm... not so sure about now, though..."

 

 

Meanwhile, further into the jungle, Pacha had finally tracked down Kuzco. The two had reached a small clearing with a few puddles in the center, and began to argue once again. "Kuzco, stop running away!" Pacha shouted at the emperor. "If you just listened to me, you'd understand that you're in danger!"

 

"You're lying to me, Pacha!" The stubborn animal shouted back. "Yzma would never do that to me!"

 

"Who else would have done it?! We heard that girl say that she heard your assistant mention wanting you dead!" Pacha countered. This bickering continued to go on for a while, with neither side making any progress...

 

 

Mt. Olympus

 

Once again, Rei managed to throw Cloud off by using a technique far more powerful than what he'd expected her to be able to use. He staggered to the ground, stunned once again, although he wasn't out yet.

 

Indy was also a bit stunned. Since when was she that powerful...? He quickly shook himself out of his shock to focus on the battle. He tried to ignore that Rei's clothes were now badly torn, and paid attention to Cloud, who was now getting back up. I can't fall behind her, either... He quickly shot a Fire spell at Cloud to serve as a distraction, then ran towards the man, sliding past and slashing at his side so he could get over to Rei. "Hey, think it's time for some sort of combo attack? If we both come up with something like we did before, we can probably throw him off again." He asked his partner just as Cloud got back up.

 

"You kids are tougher than I thought you'd be... Sora isn't slacking with his training." Cloud muttered. The boy seems to be the weaker one of the two... If I take him down first, that should help make this a little easier. He gripped his Buster Sword tightly, and executed another special technique: Sonic Blade. He suddenly dashed towards the two, thrusting his blade at them. Indy managed to dodge out of the way, but Cloud followed up this attack with another similar one, and this one hit Indy, who staggered back. A couple more similar thrusts aimed at the boy completed the combo, and each one managed to hit its target.

 

Indy was starting to feel a little weak after that attack. He managed to stay standing, but it would likely take some time for him to recover. I'm not going down that easily! He mentally encouraged himself, hoping that he could pull off some sort of finishing blow with Rei...

As Joel and Artemis continued following the tracks, Joel began to heard noises that were not part of the usual jungle noises. As they continued moving through the foliage, Joel was able to make out words from the noises. The two soon walked into a clearing, where Kuzco and Pacha were arguing.

"Phew! I'm glad we were able to find you guys!" Joel exclaimed loud enough for the llama and his companion to hear him. "Now, Your Majesty, while you may be uncertain that Yzma wants to murder you, there's still the fact that she summoned a Heartless to try and murder the rest of us, so it's not like her hands are exactly clean. Besides, she probably knows how to return you to your original state. So in any case, it's in your best interest to follow us so we can regroup with everyone else and continue on to the palace."

Plus, we need you and Pacha in order to actually get to the palace, he said to himself.

"Well, what happened?" Saki said next. "What happened to your friends? Were they not your friends at all?" He asked. Saki was curious about what Allit has been through. It might be similar to what he's been through, or he was just acting nosey. Either way, he wanted to know more. "I mean, that's what happened to me with my parents...I thought they were my friends, but then they left me when I was 3, leaving me in a basket in front of a door of somebody's house. That's where I found a real friend." Saki said while picking up supplies. "I guess you have to choose your friends wisely, someone who you can trust and take care of you. Ever had somebody like that? Besides me and Lisa?" He asked once more.

"Whoooooo, Go Indy, Rei, and Cloud!" Raidyn cheered from the stands, Toshi remaining quiet but rooting alongside him, at least for their teammates that is.

 

"Raidyn, are you sure it's necessary to cheer for all three of them?" Toshi asked.

 

"I'm tellin' ya, Tosh, this is just too hard for me to decide. If I cheer for Indy and Rei, then I'm supporting my friends, but if I cheer for Cloud, I'm supporting one of my heroes. It's a lose-lose situation. In every sense of the phrase!" Raidyn said, riled up. Toshi simply sighed.

 

"But you know, I am sure about one thing," Raidyn added, peaking Toshi's curiosity. "And that's Indy and Rei seem to be, uh... well you know..." Raidyn chuckled.

 

At first Toshi was confused, but after recollecting how Indy and Rei had been fighting so far and how they were doing now, she understood more clearly, and giggled at the prospect Raidyn was implying.

 

Oh, this'll fun to talk about after the fight, Raidyn thought. Actually, wait... why not start now? "COME ON, LOVEBIRDS! YOU CAN DO IT!" He yelled.

 

"R-raidyn!" Toshi blushed, embarrassed for both her teammates and herself as several people from the crowd were now giving her and Raidyn weird looks. He really does have too much energy sometimes, she thought as she let out a sigh.

Raz thought that it was time to get up, he used his arm to wipe that tears from his eyes and looked at the group. He turned his head and whispered, "I-I'm sorry." He then looked towards Master Zion, he knelled down and picked her up. "Alright, we need to head out... I know we spent to much time here because of me so let's hurry up and find the others, there is no point in staying here any longer." With that, Raz went in the direction that Joel and the other's went towards with Master Zion in his arms.

Aello nodded as Raz started walking, opening her mouth for a second as if to speak before shutting it. Her sort of classmate obviously had a lot on his mind, but still... She walked after him, for once moving almost solemnly as her feet stayed firmly on the ground. It was time to catch up to the others. "I'm glad you're ok, Raz," the student said quietly.

"Sigh..." An internal sign sounded within Luna, who simply walked up to Raz and in a swift motion, removed Master Zion from his grasp and into her own, keeping her close and her grip tight. "If you don't mind." She uttered to him before stepping forward. "So, where to then? Do we have a particular objective in mind, as our glorious...very pretty Master...." She lost her train of thought as she attempted to jestingly mock Zion, but was distracted by the fact she was holding her in her arms and her looks, having to shake her head rapidly before continuing. "...has passed out upon a sudden? We follow those guys who ran or do we go another way? I suggest we follow because we can't afford to split up, not really..." Luna said, looking around at those who remained, noticing that Max had left too.

"You run and I'll play Pin the Sword on the Llama with you, Emperor." Artemis added after Joel called out to the in denial Kuzco, sounding mildly disrespectful only because he was already tired of this shit going on in this world, but then put his arms behind his back and recomposed, letting Joel do the talking, him being the sane one here.

"This needs to go faster...the time that has passed has pressed harder than fingertips poking at the surface of my mind...idiotic Emperor." He thought to himself, expressing inner disdain for what had happened already, combined with his own feelings on the matter and his emotions around Allitt the Insistent.

Raz was kind of shocked to see Luna grab Master Zion out of his arms, "I'm ok thanks for asking." But as she talked he realized that she was in love with her and smiled. "Vary well, you can carry her... Also I think like I said before we should find the rest of the group, but I just don't know where to begin to look. I also think it is getting pretty dark so we should probably make a fire to stay warm, what do you think Aello?" He asked keeping his mind and body at the ready for any surprise attacks.

"Hmm..." Aello looked over to Zion, then back at Raz. "If master Zion is suffering from magic exhaustion then we should stall for time and rest while she recovers... But that could take days. The llama emperor was heading straight that way," the student gestured ahead of them with her arm, "so if we go in a line we should catch up with everyone?" She paused, thinking back to lessons that she had spent doodling and fidgeting. "It looks like we can rest and make ourselves easier to target or move and risk getting lost. I think it would be best to try to catch up to the others. What about you, Luna?"

Max was sitting on the log of the tree he just knocked down with a punch, seeing everyone going he decided to just take a quick breather before moving on, and move on he did. SIghing as he followed everyones trail, deciding to use darkness to speed things up, Running at high speeds we managed to catch up to Joel, Pacha, Kuzco and Artemis, while Saki was getting friendly with Allit, and the rest were with Zion. Max would see what he could do with the emperor and whoever was close.

 

He did get in close enough to overhear Artemis's pseudo threat to Kuzco. " I don't think threats will do any good". Max said as he looked at Kuzco and Pacha, both still arguing.

 

"You know what?" Max said as he walked closer to a tree, concentrated darkness on his right arm and punched the tree, the crack and the loud fall and thud from the tree should be enough for both Pacha and Kuzco to snap out of the argument. 

 

"Regardless if she did it or not, we need to get to the castle to do anything, we'l cross that bridge when we get to it, for now we wait for the others before heading to the castle..." He said looking up at the sky, sun was indeed almost setting (I think), or camp. What do you think?" He asked Artemis and Joel. Darkness still covering his right arm.

Raz heard a tree fall and drew his keyblades, "What the hell was that?" Raz asked quickly looking towards the direction the sound came from ready to strike. He quickly decided to check out the noise, "I hope you can both keep up with me, we are going to go towards the sound... It is the only clue we have." With that Raz ran straight towards the sound looking to his left and his right occasionally to make sure we wasn't going to be attacked by anything. He thinks about everything he has done while being a part of Zar, and what he could do to change himself. He gets to an opening while thinking this and, before he realizes he caught up with Max and them he runs straight into Max shoulder first knocking him down. Raz realizes he hit someone and snaps out of his daze, but soon realizes that he is still running straight into a tree. Before he is able to react he slams his shoulder into the tree causing it to dislodges out of place. He screams dropping his keyblades and grabbing his shoulder in pain, he drops to his knees and looks up to the sky.

Zion quietly turned and snuggled closer into Luna's breasts. "Soft...warm..." she murmured, fast asleep. Very fast asleep, to the point the commotion didn't wake her.

 

MEANWHILE, FIGHTING CLOUD...

 

 

Rei looked at Indy. "Go left. Once he blocks, strike. Wait until I've engaged, throw him off balance." She sprinted forward and slashed at Cloud. He easily blocked and threw her back...but Indy, not wanting to be outdone, had used Fire to light his Keyblade on fire. He charged and struck as soon as Rei was out of the way, which threw cloud back a few feet. He looked up, trying to recover, when Rei struck. Keyblade cloaked in light from Holy, she hit him right out of the ring and through a wall.

"...oops."

Allitt sighed, remaining silent for a moment. Why am I telling this kid so much anyway...? I'm not going to be sticking around much longer... Ugh. After a short pause, she reluctantly spoke up again. "Well... If what we heard about the Seekers is true, and if they've cast me out... I had a couple teammates who I thought of as friends, but now... we're enemies." Her sad tone suddenly dissipated, being replaced with a more serious front. "If I have to face them... I can't hold back." She tried to act calm, but she hated the idea of having to go against her former allies. Now that she was alone, she didn't know how she could manage to go up against such powerful adversaries. She really didn't want to focus on the topic, and decided to switch her attention to the loud crashing noise in the distance. "Was that your friends...? They're not doing a great job of being subtle." She noted.

 

 

Kuzco was startled by the sudden arrival of the students. He was prepared to protest, but their arguments did hold some truths... Regardless of what caused his transformation, or of who he could trust, the only way he could be changed back would be if he were to go to Yzma's lab. He'd need some sort of protection... "Alright, alright, fine... I'll let you follow me to the palace, but if I find any evidence that you might have been the ones to do this to me, I'll be sure to make you regret it." He tried to speak in a threatening tone.

 

"Very well. We'll prove that we're innocent." Pacha responded before addressing the students. "Could you all lead the way back? It's getting dark..." Of course, he also noticed Raz's sudden arrival, as well as his following screams of pain. "Um... does anyone know how to help him, too?" Pacha ran over to Raz, and tried to gently help him up to his feet.

 

 

Mt. Olympus

 

Rei's attack had nearly knocked Cloud unconscious, and the man shortly fell down flat on his stomach. Indy watched it with widened eyes, amazed by his partner's power. "That... might have been a little overboard, Rei." He spoke quietly.

 

Phil was also confused by what just happened. He stood still with his jaw dropped for a couple seconds, but eventually composed himself. "We have our winners!" He exclaimed, and the crowd began to cheer.

 

Cloud struggled to get back up to his feet, then hobbled over back to the stands, taking a lower seat now to rest. He looked slightly irritated, but did applaud the two students for their surprising power. Just what is Sora teaching these kids, anyway...? Back when I faced him, he was nowhere near that powerful, and he wasn't that far off from their age. He silently wondered while observing their actions.

 

Recovering from the initial shock of Cloud's defeat, Indy slowly began to grin. "Hey... We did it!" He exclaimed, running over next to Rei. "You were amazing, Rei! I've never seen you fight like that before!" He began gushing, but quickly noticed something else he'd nearly forgotten to address. "But, uh... We need to get you back to the ship so you can change into clothes that aren't all torn up. It probably wouldn't be the best idea to fight in... those." He began blushing now that he'd brought that up. Almost got through that one calmly... He also remembered Raidyn's cheer from earlier, which just made his face turn an even brighter shade of red. He's starting to notice now, too... I can already tell how much he'll be teasing me about this now.

Saki nodded to Allit's statement about not holding back on her betraying allies. He would do the same thing if that happened to him. He wouldn't have a reason to trust them anymore. "If they ever come around, me and Lisa will be around to fight alongside you." He said.

He turned around to Allit when she noticed the sounds the others were making. "I guess. They might've found Emperor Llama by now." He walked over the pile of sticks, dropping the last group of sticks in it and dusted his hands off. "I'll go out and check on them. Lisa, you stay here with Allit and watch out for her, 'Kay?" Lisa nodded and saluted to Saki, showing that she understood. "Alright. I won't be long." The Street Rat then jumped up to land on a branch, then jumped on another one and another one, choosing to travel by the trees instead of just walking.

 

"Heh heh heh! Boy, this beats traveling on a mile!" He commented while jumping from branch to branch. He grabbed one and swung around it for a bit, then let go landing on one more. Down below, he could see that the others had found the two travelers. He grinned and sat down, watching them to see what might happen before he could be noticed.

"Raz felt a hand helping him to his feet and he calmed down, "I'm fine." Raz told him shaking the hand away. Trying to lift himself up, he realized he couldn't move his left arm. So, he put his right hand Palm down on the ground and kicking his feet upwards he used his right hand to spin himself and pushed the ground to land on his feet. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, and heard a rustling in the trees. Raz quickly summoned his keyblade in his right hand and throw the keyblade at the branch to break it. He grabbed his left shoulder and walked over to where the branch fell "Who's there?" Hoping to find out who or what fell.

"YOW!" The young Street Rat fell in the bushes. It wasn't a pleasant way to come down, but it was okay in his book. But his head did hurt a bit. "Ouchy, ouchy, ouchy! Sheesh, I should've gotten a softer landing though." He commented while rubbing his head. Saki jumped out of the bush and stood in front of it, where every one could see him. "It's just me, Saki! So what happened while I was gone?" He asked curiously. He could see that they already found Kuzco and Pacha, so grinned at that.

 

Lisa paced back and forth in front of Allit. It's only been a few minutes and she was already starting to get worried about Saki. Was he hurt? Was he okay? Was he in danger? She could do nothing but worry. But she was given a job to do. Protect Allit. And that she was going to do. She wasn't going to let Saki down. Lisa looked around in their place and walked around with her face staring at the ground. She suddenly squealed a little and picked up what she was trying to look for. A big leaf. Big enough to wrap around a person. She picked it up and ran over to Allit with it. She kindly wrapped it around her just to keep her warm. She giggled ad she succeeded her goal.

Lisa faced Allit and tried to use her body language in order to communicate with her. She first pointed at Allit, then shivered like she was cold. Then she pointed at the leaf Allit was wrapped around in and then rubbed her own arms like she was warm with her tail wrapping around her waist. Lisa giggled once more after she was done doing her part in Charades.

"We won't let you down, Your Highness," Joel replied to Kuzco, going along with the llama's bit.

Suddenly, there was Raz. Then Saki.

Joel almost reflexively brought his hand to his face, but he managed to stop himself.

"... How about we just continue our job without any more of this monkeying around (pun definitely intended)? That way no one has to sit out when things actually get exciting..." he said to the two newcomers.

Fortunately, Raz's action of trucking through the jungle made it a bit easier to find the way from which they came. Still, having Fire would be nice. Or some Light-based thing, Joel thought.

"Alright, let's get the others and make our way to the palace," Joel declared, beginning to retrace their earlier steps.

Zion snuggled into Luna's breasts more, sleepy and exhausted.

 

Rei looked down, and blushed. She glowed briefly, and now wore a new skirt, a T-shirt a size or two too big, and a hot pink hoodie. She hugged Indy.

"Thanks for setting me up! Though..." Her knees wobbled. "I overdid it...Mommy always said our family needed to learn endurance...I haven't gotten it up yet."

Aello glanced over to where Zar had disappeared. She would follow him, but she couldn't just abandon a friend sitting alone in the rapidly darkening woods while carrying an injured teacher! "Come on, let's see if we can catch up!" She started walking before glancing back at Luna to see if she was coming. "We probably should try to find everybody else.."

Pacha glanced at everyone who had suddenly arrived. Judging from Joel's reaction, he assumed that they weren't supposed to be joining the initial party. A few people were still missing. Of course, Joel started to lead everyone to the left-out students. "Let's all try to stick together for now. The jungle's pretty dangerous, especially at night..." He suggested, sounding concerned.

 

"As long as that means we can get back to the palace and find out what's going on, I'm fine with that." Kuzco muttered in an anxious tone. "We've got to get moving again. I don't exactly like being a llama, you know." After he said this, both Pacha and Kuzco followed Joel, with Pacha keeping a close eye on the emperor to make sure he wouldn't pull any more tricks.

 

 

Allitt sat in silence once Saki left. Being left alone with a Heartless was a little odd. She was supposed to fight any being that came from the darkness, and technically, this monkey would count. However, she kept still. It was with the students, and she didn't want to cause any trouble for them. Besides, it didn't seem too bad... Ugh, what's wrong with me? She let out a sigh. She really didn't seem to be herself today... Maybe this would be a good time to run off. Lisa seemed distracted, and Allitt could get away and not have to deal with the issues she faced while teaming up with the academy group. Of course, this would leave her all alone, and she didn't know where to go... As she reflected on what course of action to take, Lisa suddenly walked over to her and wrapped a large leaf around her, trying to keep her warm. She hadn't exactly been cold, but she had to admit that it was a kind gesture. It seemed odd for a Heartless to do something like that, though. "Thanks." She spoke after a few moments of hesitation, and huddled in the new green blanket. She remained silent, though she was getting impatient. How long did it take to drag back a smelly llama, anyway?

Now that Rei was properly dressed, Indy was able to calm down. Normally, the sudden hug probably would have made him flustered, but he'd gotten used to Rei doing that by now. He hugged her back, but became a little worried once he could tell that she was feeling a little weak. "That's something we'll have to work on, then." He smiled once he could tell she'd be fine. "For now, let's go back with the others. We'll need to rest before our next match, and you look like you could use that more than I do. I can help you up if you need it."

 

While those two were preparing to go back up, Phil called for the next battle. "It's time for Round 2! First up, we have Raidyn vs. Solar Flare!" He shouted, resulting in cheers from the crowd once again. "Once these two lovebirds are out of the way, we can move on..." He muttered under his breath. "At least it's not as bad as Herc and Meg back in the day..."

 

At the news of the next two contenders, the robed girl sitting near the students rose from her seat and began to head down towards the ring. She didn't bother to look at her opponent, nor did the applause from the crowd seem to faze her. She kept a relatively quick pace as she went down the aisles, staring at the ground just ahead of her feet.

"Okay. I'll go and get Lisa and Allit-San." Saki said before running off, letting Joel's words simply go through his ears like wind.

 

Lisa then laid down beside Allit, looking at the stars. They seemed so pretty in the dark sky. The way they sparkled and twinkled in her eyes. She was amazed by the sight, since it was her first time seeing stars. She patted Allit on the side and pointed to the sky, looking at the stars. Meanwhile, Saki stood on a branch nearby watching the two. He smiled at the sight. He didn't want to ruin it just yet. Maybe just a little longer...It couldn't get too late, right?

Toshi smiled and gave her teammates a round of applause alongside the crowd, while Raidyn was hooping and hollering even more than he was before, cheering "Yeah!" and "Whoo-hoo!" at the top of his lungs, even throwing in a whistle or two.

 

"Aw man, that was so awesome, especially that last move! I gotta ask her how she did some time soon!"

 

"It's time for Round 2! First up, we have Raidyn vs. Solar Flare!" He shouted, resulting in cheers from the crowd once again.

 

"Oh! But first, it's time for my second match of the day. Wish me luck!" He told Toshi, quickly zipping across the aisles of the stands and down towards the ring, and just in time to catch Indy and Rei before they return to their seats.

 

"Hey hey hey, looks like you two make a great team. But I guess that comes natural when you're already have great chemistry, if you know what I mean," Raidyn said, nudging Indy on the shoulder. "Now if you'll excuse me, it's time for things to get electric!" Raidyn added, leaving the two alone to wait for his opponent.

As he did a couple of stretches to limber out his muscles, he thought about his previous encounter with the Giant Armor: I managed not to overdo it last time, but I gotta feeling that this next bout is going to be a lot harder than fighting Nexus. Still, I better watch myself this time, and keep a clear head. Who knows what'll happen if I overload?

 

At the news of the next two contenders, the robed girl sitting near the students rose from her seat and began to head down towards the ring. She didn't bother to look at her opponent, nor did the applause from the crowd seem to faze her. She kept a relatively quick pace as she went down the aisles, staring at the ground just ahead of her feet.

 

Huh... don't recognize this person. Must be one of the locals, Raidyn thought. Then again, something's off about her...

Allitt was once again taken out of her thoughts by Lisa. She gazed up at the sky, realizing quickly that Lisa was trying to point out the stars. Given the Heartless' reaction to seeing them, Allitt assumed she'd never seen stars before. "They say each of those is a different world... They're nice to look at, but it's weird to think about how massive the universe is." She spoke quietly. Staring up at the stars did help to calm her down for a moment... However, it didn't take long for her to wonder which star she'd be on now if she hadn't been dragged into this mess.

 

Mt. Olympus

 

As usual, Indy's face turned bright red as Raidyn teased him about Rei. He would have tried to think of some sort of clever thing to say in response, but before he could, Raidyn had already run off. Indy paused for a minute, but eventually sighed. He'd just have to get used to the teasing now. "Good luck, Raidyn." He called back to his friend just before Rei finally spoke up. "Let's go up and rest for a moment, then. I don't think there's going to be time for a nap, though." He pointed out as he smiled once again. He walked up the stairs, quickly making it back to the rest of the students. "Hey everyone." He gave a quick wave and stood just in front of the seat he'd used earlier, waiting for the girl on his back to climb down before he sat down.

 

 

With both contestants now in the ring, Phil sighed in relief. "That went quicker than I thought it would." He muttered once again. "Now then... Time for Round Two to begin! Fight!" He exclaimed.

 

The second the battle began, the mysterious girl facing Raidyn sprang into action. She drew a short magic rod from her sleeve, and once she pointed it at Raidyn, a blast of cold air and ice crystals shot towards him.
