Roleplay Kingdom Hearts Re: Fade Into Light (RP Thread)

Zar slowly woke up, he noticed that he was sitting in a chair next to Joel. "H-How did I get here?" Zar asked to no one in particular. He looked down at his hands, and clinched them into fists. "Why can't I control it?" He asked thinking.

Mt. Olympus

Indy quietly listened to his friend's explanation. "If it's that dangerous, then why did you use it so much?" Indy asked. "You had backup... there wasn't much of a need to wear yourself out like that. Did Rei and I really take that long to show up?" He realized that lecturing Raidyn wouldn't do much to change his mind. He was too stubborn. "A-anyway... If you're feeling better, we've got the tournament soon. If not... Well, we might need someone to stay back and watch you..." He figured that, in that situation, he might end up being the one staying back. He hoped his friend would be up to going, for both his sake as well as Indy's.

Of course, hearing Rei's response to his question lifted his spirits a little bit. "Heh, alright. I figured that was the case, but I just wanted to make sure... I mean, it's probably not the ideal first date..." Crap, did I actually just say that?! With Raidyn here, too? His face turned bright red, but thankfully, Annistha seemed to take everyone else's attention for a little bit. Phew... safe for now. "Y-yeah, Rei and I are fine. I'm not so sure about Raidyn, though..."

Andes Mountains

After Yzma finished off her order, she looked at Kronk. "What was it that you wanted?"

"Well, you see, I had a few questions about your menu..." Kronk began. "You see, I was looking at some of the food here..." He pointed to an item on the kid's menu. "Do you happen to have the nutrition information for this? Gotta make sure I'm eating right, I'm on a diet." He explained himself.

Outside the restaurant, Allitt seemed annoyed by Zion deciding to lean on her without asking. She couldn't tell if it was the woman's way of keeping her under control, or just an attempt at flirting with her. She decided to view it as a mix of both. Artemis' odd change in behavior also bothered her. She would have continued with her usual snappy responses, but Zion's presence made her decide to calm down a bit. "What happened to your tough act from earlier? You've softened up quite a bit." She pointed out calmly, not showing much emotion.

Raidyn chose to ignore Indy and Rei's "bonding" and focus on more important matters, even though there was a part of him that wanted to start making jokes.

"H-hey, don't worry about me! I can still fight in the tournament! I just gotta take it easy, is all. I mean, look..." Raidyn paused for a moment, not saying anything or moving. "... See? My chest doesn't even hurt anymore. I can tota--GAH, WHY?!" Raidyn suddenly fell over onto his back after another surge of pain entered his chest.

Annistha returned Rei's hug. If she had died without...

~*Inside the Nexus*~

"No." Zather said firmly.

"But she's our-" Annistha began.

"No." He cut her off.

Annistha glared at her brother.

"We have no proof." He continued. "All we'd be doing is muddying the waters. Also, until we find out what happened before we were joined, we need to keep things simple. Something did this to us. Until we know what and why, we need to not acknowledge weak spots that can be targeted."

The Light half of the Nexus deflated a little. Zather had some points, she had to grudgingly admit. Until they knew what had happened to them and their parents, pulling others into it would just be bad.

"Alright." She said. "We'll play it cool."

~*Outside*~

The conversation between the twins in their heart link took a fraction of a second, after which Annistha released the hug.

"Good to hear it." She said brightly.

She glanced over to Raidyn and gave him a concerned look.

"That was a brave thing you did, but a little reckless." She said, walking over to the injured student. "We may look small, but me and my brother can take some hits."

Again, she wished she had studied healing Magic a bit better. But if the ship's med bay wasn't getting Raidyn fully back on his feet, a low level Cure spell wouldn't do a ton.

"To pay you back, how about we sign up under your name in the tournament, and when you're feeling better, we'll bow out and let you tackle the big dogs? Sound good to you?"

Zather wasn't happy about that plan, but he had a think about paying back debts sooner rather then later, so he went along with the suggestion. Annistha glanced back at Rei and Indy, this time noting Indy's discomfort. She frowned a moment as she replayed what she saw and heard when she came into the med bay, then gave a sly grin.

"Well, um, thanks, for both the compliment and the offer," Raidyn sat up once more. "But you don't have to worry about me. I can handle myself. My pain really is starting to go down. As long as I take things easier for a while, I'll be fine. Besides, I've been dying to be in the games ever since I read about 'em, and I want to experience the entirety of them, not just partially."

Raidyn put both feet on the floor and stood up, feeling as though the affects of his speed rush were finally wearing thin. The pains in his chest now only stung just a little bit, but they were receding. He walked up to Rei and Indy.

"If it's alright with you guys, I'm going sign up now."

Aello was panicking a tiny bit as Kronk asked his question, before realizing something fantastic. She didn't even have to be sneaky, she could tell the truth this time and it wouldn't make a difference. Smile widening slightly with this realization, Aello leaned forward conspiratorially, hand up to her mouth, and stage whispered, "I haven't actually been working here all that long, so I don't really know that." She pulled back to her original position, "however, our restaurant strives to provide the best service in the Andes!, so I can go ask the chef himself, if you would like." She decided to stick around and wait for his answer. She needed to distract them at least a few more seconds. If Saki wasn't done after that, he could wait until star came back with Bear's (her new name for Kronk) information.

-Artemis Thornton-

Artemis gasped very slightly, looking to his right quickly with his eyes closed as Allitt pointed out his softer tone, shocking him inside. "Can't go back on that now." He mentally noted, then inhaled sharply and looked back at Allitt. "Perhaps I'm taking less of a dislike to you. Consider yourself lucky..." He tried to regain the attitude with that sentence, but it did not return. His tone remained soft and calm, even as he cleared his throat between sentences.

-Rei-

She blushed lightly, then gently bumped her shoulder against his after moving closer to his arm.

"This isn't the first date. First date is you taking me to dinner, even if it's barely made sandwiches in a galley. Or stargazing. Or something that isn't us kicking ass, because that's normal."

-Zion-

She watched them both, and once sure Allitt was going to behave, she moved away. She looked at the restraunt.

"...I wonder if Nephilim would have wanted to sit together..." she mused quietly."

Annistha moved closer to Raidyn as he got up, concern on her face and her arms up, ready to catch him. But, he got to Indy and Rei alright, so Annsitha backed off. She and Zather would keep an eye on him in the games, but he was looking better. After Rei's comment about a first date, Annistha took to studying the ceiling of a corner of the med bay with great interest as she not entirely suceeded in supressing a broad grin.

Mt. Olympus

Indy sighed in relief after Rei didn't seem too bothered by his accidental comment from earlier. He did notice that she seemed a little nervous, though... That's... usually my thing. He figured that he'd try to do something to make up for it later. For now, they had to get going to the tournament. "Uh, heh, I guess that's right, Rei." He responded nervously. He looked back over at Raidyn afterwards. "Alright, that's good to hear. Just don't go passing out on us during the tournament. I expect you to fight at your best." He grinned at his friend, thankful that there was something to help him calm down a bit. "Alright, let's go!"

Shortly afterwards, the group was inside the entrance to the coliseum. Indy took a quick look around. It was a little small, but big enough for the whole group to fit in. There were a few plaques and trophies along the walls... Wonder who won those? He decided to take a quick look at a trophy. "Hades Cup winner... Sora?!" He exclaimed. "I didn't think that they had Master Sora's awards here... That explains why I've never seen them before." There was also a small pedestal, and a sign listing rules. Next to the sign stood Phil.

"Hey, you all showed up after all!" He greeted the students. "If ya want to sign up, I'm the goat to talk to. You can form small teams if you'd like, and even make your own team name. Just let me know, and I'll register you right away!" Phil announced.

Indy looked over at Rei. "Heh... so, any ideas for a team name?" He asked. He wasn't really the best at coming up with them, but could think one up if he absolutely had to.

Meanwhile, just outside the coliseum, a lone figure stood in the empty courtyard. He stared at the entrance, and began to mutter to himself about recent events in the world. "Those kids sure were talented with the Keyblade. Reminds me of old Spikes..." He sighed. "This means trouble for my plans to take out Blunder Boy, but I'll work it out. Maybe even take all of them out, too." He smirked. "The real problem is the other newbie... I'll figure out what to do there soon, though." After his short monologue, he disappeared in a puff of smoke...

Andes Mountains

Allitt gave Artemis another puzzled look. "Didn't take long for you to change your mind on that." She also noticed Zion seem to look towards the restaurant and mutter something about another person. "... Same goes for you. You seem to have lost interest in me rather quickly." She commented, thought she was a bit relieved by that. If she was correct, it would mean that Zion might not be breathing down her neck quite as much as usual. Not that she'd be sticking around for much longer, anyway...

Back inside the restaurant, Kronk listened to what Aello told him. "Oh, I can go ask in that case. I don't need you to go out of your way, and it'd be easier for us both if I asked the chef." He told her. He stretched his legs out before standing up, but noticed that his feet brushed something odd under the table. He took a peek underneath, and saw Saki in his hiding place. "Uh... Yzma? I think we've got company." He pointed out to the woman, sounding rather calm as usual.

Yzma, on the other hand, looked angered when she saw the boy hiding underneath the table. "What are you doing down there?!" She asked, glaring at the boy as she did so. "Get out now, before I take you out myself!"

The pink-haired princess (self proclaimed) looked around.

"Uh...Batgirl and Robin?" She joked. "How about...Lightdancer?"

-Zion-

The enigmatic teacher teleported behind Allitt, resting her chin on the girl's head.

"Nope. I just was giving you some space. If you'd rather be snuggled against me, I can happily oblige."

"Lightdancer... That sounds good." Indy nodded. He was about to walk over to Phil, but realized that they'd probably both need to go to be present to register. "Alright... let's go sign up, then." He took Rei's hand and led her over to Phil "We'd both like to register under the name 'Lightdancer.'" He informed the satyr.

"Got it!" Phil wrote something down quickly. "You're both entered. Good luck in the tournament." He told them.

Allitt sighed. She considered moving away, but had a feeling that might just anger the woman. She didn't intend on taking any risks at the moment. "No thanks, I'd prefer not to. Just surprised that you seemed to focus on something else so quickly."

Ember was dragging Somrene across the lobby floor by the wrist.

"Are you sure about this? We don't have to be a team." The Darkling commented.

"Of course I am! We're stronger as a team aren't we?" Ember said, clearly refusing to listen to her brother. He muttered something, but then conceded.

"Alright, fine. But if I don't win it's your fault." He answered, shaking her off his forearm, and then walking up confidently to the satyr. Ember dashed forwards to catch up.

"We'd like to sign up under the team name...." He trailed off in thought, allowing Ember to seize the chance.

"Polarized Fighters!"

"Well that's simply terrible."

"And what was your suggestion again?"

"Uhhhhhh...."

"Exactly."

"No, wait. I have one. Twilight Kin." Silence followed this. Somrene grinned and looked to Phil. "That means I won. Sign us up under Twilight Kin." Ember shifted her gaze towards Rei and Indy.

"Oh hi guys! You guys are a team too huh? I would have guessed Indy and Raidyn since they're like best friends or some such." She mentioned, clearly clueless. Somrene looked to his sister and shook his head slightly.

Saki made a uncomfortable expression with Kronk's foot on in his way. He was about to push it away, but it seems that he didn't need to.

But what he did need to do was to come up with another plan. And this one involved quick think. If this didn't work, nothing else would.

The young Street Rat quickly climbed up to the seat, sitting next to Kronk and faced the old woman with a "Have-pity-on-me-I'm-sad" expression.

"Please miss. Have mercy on me. I'm just poor kid struggling to get a single morsel of food...I hid under the table so I could at least have something eat. I'm sorry if I made you mad..." He said, with the big pitiful, helpless eyes. He even shed a single tear.

One rule to being a Street Rat: You've got to be one hell of a good actor.

Zar got up from his seat and looked out the window, when he notices how Raz is reacting. "What's wrong Raz?" Raz pointed to Allitt, "That woman is from the same group the other woman that attacked us in Traverse Town, I need to know what that other woman's name was." Zar nodded and left the resturant, and went up to master Zion, Artemis, and Allitt. "Um... Master Zion, could I ask this woman something? It's for Raz about what happened to our group in the Terraces." Zar said to Master Zion.

Maximilian simply looked at what Saki was trying to do, and he simply moved next to him. "Excuse me him, he's with me and my friends, I apologize on behest of all of us." Max said as he literally Dragged Saki out of the kitchen area and outside.

"Alright...so Saki...you know you can get us to pay for it right? we're in a team you know...if you don't have the money, ask for a friend, don't try to do what you did, it just gets you into trouble" Maximilian scolded Saki as he he simply walked over to Zion and Allit. "Come to think of it, I don't think I got your name..." Max said to Allit.

"If we're going to be traveling together, sharing our names would be the first step of trust don't you think?" he asked, trying to look trustworthy, even though he distrusted Allit greatly.

"I kinda thought me and Indy would be a team too. But hey, I can't get in the way of these two now can I?" Raidyn said with a grin, now having enough strength in himself to playfully tease Indy's new hookup.

"Still though, who should I choose to be my partner..." Raidyn said to himself, putting on his "thinking face". "Hmm... I could always ask Toshi..."

Speaking of which, Toshi was glad to that her friend was okay, but the announcement by Phil that their class would form teams made her shrivel up. Considering how Indy and Rei were now openly sharing a relationship and were also partnered up for the tourney, she was scared of what might happen if Raidyn and her did the same... the second part, of course, not the first. Definitely not the first.

Phil quickly wrote down Ember and Somrene's team name. "Alright. Good luck in the tournament." He told the two before they moved on.

Indy's face was once again bright red after Ember asked her question. "Well, uh... Rei and I are a pretty good team, too. Figured I might as well go with a new partner for once." He grinned. "So... are you ready to go, Rei?" He asked. "We're not going to get any cool entrances like in that last battle, but I expect you to pull off some other flashy moves like you usually do."

Allitt sighed. "I'll tell you whatever you want about the Seekers when we're done here. Until then, we'll keep focused on your mission." She knew her excuse wasn't all that great, but she didn't intend on betraying the Seekers. Shortly afterwards, Max and Saki both left the restaurant, and Max asked for her name. "Allitt Caelum. I already said that, didn't I?" She asked, sounding a bit annoyed.

Thankfully, she didn't need to worry much about covering for her excuse. Back inside the restaurant, Yzma was still furious. "If you need food, go hunt in the jungles with the animals. Don't come begging me for something to eat!" After she had finished lecturing him, another boy approached. She noticed that they looked out of place... She also noticed the other students in the restaurant. "Kronk... you remember what that man told us, right?"

"The man... the man in the cloak... He said to keep an eye out for anyone who looked out of place." Kronk answered, and looked around. "Uh... why are you bringing that up again?" He asked, clueless about what Yzma was currently suggesting.

"I believe we've found our targets." She smirked. She quickly peeked out the window, noticing the group that had assembled outside as well. One of particular interest to her was Allitt. "That one's wearing a cloak... He told us that a girl with a similar cloak to his might be with those outsiders." Yzma stood up. "They've come right to us, Kronk!"

"Uh... if you're going to cause a scene, could you do that outside? Might be good to not hurt any of these people." Kronk suggested.

Yzma sighed. "Very well, very well..." She ran outside, followed by Kronk. She pointed towards Zion and the others. "We've been looking for you..." An evil grin spread across her face. "We were told to keep an eye out for you... and eliminate you if we had the chance." She informed them. "Especially the girl in the cloak."

Allitt looked confused. "Who ordered you to kill me along with them?" She slid out from underneath Zion's chin and stood, summoning her Keyblade.

"A man in a cloak that looked just like yours. We didn't get his name, but he seemed to want you gone." Yzma answered Allitt's question.

"... One of the Seekers...? Allitt couldn't think of anyone else fitting that description, but at the same time, she didn't know why they'd be after her... She remembered that she was being threatened. She didn't have time to think. "I don't think you'll stand much of a chance against all of us. Unless you've got something up your sleeves, you'll lose quickly." Allitt spoke forcefully, though she wasn't bluffing like she had been against Zion. She knew she could take these two down without trying.

"It's good for us that we have a trick, then." Yzma motioned towards some nearby trees, which suddenly seemed to crash to the ground. While no one could see what it was, something large was approaching the group. A loud roar filled the air, scaring the people in the restaurant. "I hope you all have fun with this one. Now, Kronk, let's let our new friend handle them." The two ran off into the jungle, though Kronk could be heard pointing out that they still hadn't gotten their food yet.

"What's this thing?!" Allitt asked, now feeling a bit less confident. She was suddenly lifted into the air by some sort of invisible force, seemingly getting crushed as this happened. She shrieked in pain, but couldn't do anything to break free...

Max could only look ats what just happened, suddenly they were eating, now they were about to fight, seeing Allit being pulled up by something invisible immediately made Max snap and said, "Its a Stealth sneak!" he shouted as he cast magnet to pull Allit towards him, possibly knocking her off the thing's grasp as she'd land on the ground if that was the case.

"I knew things were too quiet..." me muttered.

-Zion-

Zion was a flash. Allitt's shriek barely began to echo when a bright flash of light lit up the area, brighter than the sun.

"Execute Mode Three. Authorization Code: Oriana."

Her wings growing, Zion was radiant. "Archangel of Light."

And then she deftly sliced every damn appendage off and grabbed Allitt as Max's magnet pulled her out of the things grasp.

"firetruck...firetruck...TAKE THIS THING OUT!"

Zion teleported right back into Forward Unto Dawn, and hit the ground. Her power died, and she went limp.

"...I'm a firetrucking idiot...I haven't gone into any forms for almost two years...dammit..." Zion groaned. "You okay Allitt? I...I don't think I'll be moving for a minute, heh."

The combined effort of Zion's attack and Max's Magnet spell was enough to free Allitt from the Stealth Sneak's grasp. After being taken back to the Forward Unto Dawn, Allitt took a deep breath. She sat up. "... Wh-why did you save me...?" Allitt asked. "You told me before that you'd kill me if I tried anything. You could've just let that thing take me out and avoided any risks later on..." She was still gasping for breath at she spoke. "And why did you take me here...? I know you think I'm weak, but I'm good enough to fight that thing." Though she spoke confidently, she was still damaged from the beast's attack. This was clear with the way she spoke.

Back on the ground, the Stealth Sneak cried out in pain. With Zion gone, it now turned to Max. Though it was still invisible, two glowing orbs signified where it was at the moment. These two orbs shot out towards Max, closing in on him from different angles.

Max simply frowned at Zion's move, "REALLY?! you go and save the girl we barely even know! instead of helping your students?!" he shouted as he sighed, "god dammit." he said with a flat tone as he saw the Stealth sneak's location with the glowing orbs, problem was the orbs were soon thrown at him. "Ah shit!" he said as he quickly slammed his keyblade down, hoping to cast an earth spell.

And it worked, he was quickly protected from the orbs by a dome of earth which was cast around him, as the earth broke soon after. "Now what..." he said as he had lost the enemy again, but he had a small plan, pherhaps he couldn't pull it towards him, but he could pull himself towards it!.

He quickly cast Magnet, and instead of the sneak being pulled, Max was pulled towards it, following the spell and pull with a heavy slam of his  huge keyblade, darkness now starting to flow around him already. His darkness generation was indeed quite fast.

"...I don't know why either." He could only say, then he stayed silent for a while as some more events unfolded, then they were approached by Kronk and Yzma who openly threatened them and claimed they were to eliminate them, including Allitt, by order of someone in a Black Coat...The Seekers of Light?

"Clearly, if it's the Seekers, they don't value you at all." He addressed Allitt with this statement before the perpetrators brought forth a friend, an invisible, roaring creature which snagged and began crushing Allitt. Inside, Artemis felt a storm of emotions within him, causing him to draw his Katana with some kind of anger, helped by his almost instinctive shout of: "ALLITT!" He had defied what he said before....why?

He had no time to think as Zion saved her by assaulting the creature, revealed to be a Stealth Sneak, with her monumental power over Light and left with Allitt, taking her to safety at the dismay of Maximilian, but to the relief of Artemis, who then began to focus on the Stealth Sneak.

"This Stealth Sneak...it fights differently..." He muttered, his blade at the ready, awaiting its strike. He knew it would, even as Max attacked it.

-Luna "Nephilim" Urbane-

Luna was just able to catch the events in motion from her seat near the window, watching Allitt be attacked, Artemis fear for her life and Zion attack the Heartless and take Allitt to safety. Not wanting to stay to the sidelines, she stood up, her Katana in its sheath and in hand, she braced herself. "Sorry, got to go!" She shouted, diving through and shattering the window and dashing towards the battle zone. "Thank Kingdom Hearts that was a thin window..." She thought to herself.

"YIPE!" Saki jumped and even fell, being surprised by the Stealth Sneak's appearance. "Aw, come on! This guy's invisible!? That's no fair!" He exclaimed. Lisa rushed towards him, checking he was okay. "If you guys have any plans on taking it down, now would be the time to tell us!" He also said.
