Then, Zion decided to do something slightly different. She sighed and rose into the air, wings of light unfurling. She fired off a pulse of light to get everyone's attention, then crossed her legs and sat in midair, surveying the students.

 

"Alright kids, first off. Rei is not coming with me. She will be leading the team using my frigate, the Stalwart Dawn, because none of you - no, not even you, Indy, can fly it. It's a highly advanced vessel unlike anything here, and she has been around it since her birth. So Rei will lead up Team Two." She looked around, then teleported next to Nexus. "Nexus is the leader of Team One, and will be catching a ride with me onboard my personal vessel, the Forward Unto Dawn. I'm here as a chaperon and to make sure no one dies so please, I ask that you please take a moment, and re-organize your teams based on the knowledge of who goes on what ship." She sighed. "Once everyone is done decided, we can get going. Now."

 

She threw up her arm, and small lights appeared above Rei, Indy, Raidyn, and Toshi. "So far this is Team One." Two lights appeared over Nexus. "This is Team Two. Please divide yourselves up equally and hold the mentality that no one fights onboard my ships with each other or so help me I will punish you to the full extent of academy regulations.

 

She smiled cheerfully. "Alright, get moving!"

 

 

 

Rei bit her lip...then calmly walked over and in a fluid, almost lazy motion, grabbed Saki's shirt and threw him headfirst into his tree.

"I don't like people laughing at me." She growled. "Mommy might have a heart of pure light and not be a bitch, but keep in mind that I was born of light and darkness." She chillded out...then climbed onto Indy's back.

 

Indy would find that Rei was very light actually. She rested her chin on Indy's shoulder. "I saw him first."

Indy was a little scared to see Rei suddenly snap again, and was expecting her to do something to him, too... But instead, she just climbed onto his back. Normally, he'd be freaking out about that, but at this point he was too mentally exhausted to do so. Instead, he just went along with it. It wasn't as bad as having someone leap onto his back and nearly knock him over, at least. "Uh... I guess that means we'll be working together, then." He didn't even bother questioning why she was on his back at this point.

"Alright, that's fine with me." Indy responded, though it was kind of strange speaking to someone who was currently clinging to his back. "I was going to suggest that we work together, anyway." After saying that, he noticed the boy who Rei had been with earlier. Realizing that they had probably already discussed working as a team, Indy figured he might as well introduce himself. He looked over at the boy (Sandrew) and greeted him. "Hey there, I'm Indy. It looks like we'll be working together, too." He looked back at Raidyn and Toshi. "They'll also be tagging along with us. I'd say we've got a good team put together so far."

Soon enough, Saki would find himself being thrown and hitting the tree with his face and body. Hearing what Rei said and experiencing how strong she was...." @_@ Note....Taken....In advanced....Ohh..." He then fell down on his back on the ground, which was a hard hit. He sat up and rubbed the back of his head. "It's not easy being a little Street Rat....Once you get under their skin, they just throw you away...But that never keeps me down!" He commented and smiled again. He got up and made the decision to NOT annoy Rei...Ever. Saki dusted himself off and hopped along back to Aello. "So which team will you be on?" He asked his friend.

"Hey, you've got to be talented if you're here. I doubt Master Sora would have brought you here otherwise." Indy tried to reassure Sandrew. "I'm sure all of us have some sort of weakness, but we've all got our strengths as well. That's why we're all working together, we'll make use of all our strengths." He smiled.

Zar figured we would have to team up, but he wasn't panning on it. "Sounds like it's mandatory... Think you can handle it?" Asked Zar's other self while leaning over to get a look at Zar's face. "I should ask you the same thing, I don't want you killing our teammates." Zar said. He figured it was best to ask someone that would be a bit more cheerful for him. He looks over to Aello and starts walking towards her, "Are you really going to ask her, she seems way to giddy." Says Zar's other self as he tries to stop him. Zar states without a single emotion,"It's best to get someone with a little bit of a level headed mindset." He approaches Aello and says to her, "I'm sorry I scared you, and I may seem like a bit of a pain and since it's mandatory and all, would you like to be on a team? I would go with myself but I don't think that is an option." Zar says reluctantly.

Aello nodded happily at Zar, her momentary dilemma pushed aside for now. "Sounds great! I'm sure everyone would love to have you! And don't worry about earlier, I said something thoughtless and you reacted naturally, it's fine." She looked over to see Saki be thrown into a tree.

Maximilian stood quiet as Zion went on about the teams being made up and who would go on what, he also saw Saki getting flung headfirst into a tree, flinching as he heard the thud of the impact onto it, but he paid no mind, as the boy seemed to be fine from the impact, he didn't right know what to do at this moment, wheter to speak to someone or to simply go with Zion or not.

 

He walked beside Nephilim and Artemis, "So you guys joining Zion's team as well?" he asked, considering Rei's team had quite the number of people already, he'd figured joining Zion's would be the best move for now.

Annistha glanced up to see the two ships come into view. The fact that the Forward Unto Dawn was involved increased the probability of things going to pot, in the Light Twin's mind. This was worrying to her. But for Zather, this was an excellent sign. Though, he did have his own problems with the situation.[Nexus Shift]"Blasted ships." Zather muttered as he glared at the two vessels.His dislike of space travel was well known to those who had the misfortune of flying with him. Annistha had taken to not letting him out during flights.He glanced down to check on Annistha's adjustments to the straps and found them acceptable.[Nexus Shift]"I guess we'll start the formation of team two." Annistha called out in a loud voice.She paused for a brief moment, like she was listening to something."I'm guessing the team with Rei in it goes in the Forward Unto Dawn, right?"

After the little light show, Joel walked up to Annistha. "I guess I'll be on this team then. We gotta divide ourselves equally, right?"

"You know, Raidyn, maybe we should, uh, go see who else is going to be on our team..." Toshi said, although clearly nervous at the idea of talking to people other than Raidyn and Indy.

 

"That's a not a bad idea," Raidyn said, having no qualms about it whatsoever.

 

Raidyn and Toshi made their way over to Indy alongside Rei and Sandrew. 

 

"Hey Indy! And uh..." Raidyn stopped himself. "Hmm... I'm tryin' to remember, but I don't think I've met either of you before. Have you?" He asked his teammate beside him.

 

"I'm afraid not. But, um, I-I'm Toshi," she said.

 

"And I'm Raidyn. It's a pleasure to meet you," Raidyn said. "We're in the same class as Indy." Funnily enough, neither of them bothered to question why Rei was clinging to Indy at that moment.

As Joel reached Annistha, it was clear she was worried.

"Equal." She echoed. "Right."

She stared off in the distance for a few moments. She really hadn't been considering being on a team. This could be really bad. She snapped out of her horror and gave Joel an apologetic smile.

"Sorry, man. i'm use to a team dynamic being then two. I need to make sure I'm not screwing up the teams."

She marched over to Zion, maintaining her apologetic smile.

"Hey, Master Zion. Um, we're not exactly leadership material. Zather is a born maverick and I spend most of my time keeping him in check. We'd be better off as just a regular team members."

She looked a little wretched at this point.

"In fact, we'd be best teamed up with a few people Zather actually semi-trusts, which is them."

Annistha pointed somewhat guilty at Ember and Somrene.

"If we can just be put on the same team as the one they choose, things will go a whole lot smoother."

By this time, there was pleading in her voice.

"Please, Au-"

Suddenly her jaw snapped shut, her voice muffled for just a second. Her face when black for a second, then returned to normal.

"Master Zion." She concluded in a formal tone.

Joel didn't have much time to process what Annistha said before she walked off to talk to Master Zion. Okay... he thought. Is my slacker image really that bad? But wait, what am I thinking? I'm not even an actual slacker!

His internal conversation was interrupted when he caught wind of a bit of the conversation between Annistha and Master Zion. "We're not exactly leadership material," the girl admitted. Joel tried tuning out the rest of the discussion, since he didn't want to eavesdropping on something that may be important, but an idea had already been planted into his mind. It was probably a stupid idea, but the more Joel thought about it, the more enticing the idea became. Besides, he didn't really have anything to lose.

He walked over to the Master and the student as Annistha finished speaking. "I'm pretty sure these guys are pretty skilled..." Joel said as he motioned to Annistha (and tehnically Zather as well), "but if they don't feel like they're leader material, how about making me team leader in their place? I'll try my best to not sleep on the job," he added jokingly.

Zion looked at Nexus and rubbed her forehead. "Guys...you have what it takes. I've been teaching a lot of students and you two show the makings of greatness. You just have to believe." She reached out to grip Annistha's shoulder gently. "But. If you feel you are not ready, than I can squeeze you onto Rei's team. Just know that, you are more than what you think. Both of you." With a smile, she turned to Joel. "Excellent. Proactive against your sleeping image! That's good, you can head up team two. Your team will be slightly off balanced with Nexus heading to Rei's but I will be with you guys if anything goes wrong. Mkay?"

Joel almost inwardly cringed upon hearing "sleeping image". Damn, I guess it is pretty bad... he thought. But that thought was quickly pushed to the back of his mind due to the rest of Master Zion's statement. "T-thank you, Master!" he exclaimed as he gave a quick bow. "I'll do my best not to let you or anyone on my team down!"

Annistha gave Joel a guilty look when he entered the conversation, but that changed to a madly hopeful look as he continued speaking. She grabbed Joel's shoulder and jestured to him after he offered to become team leader. The gesturing stopped when Zion placed a hand on her shoulder. For a moment, she looked like a child getting a pep talk from a parent, but it passed quickly.

"Thanks, Master Zion." She said, sounding relieved.

She let go of Joel's shoulder and gave him a sheepish grin.

"Sorry about this. My br- we don't handle groups well. I didn't mean to offend you."

She stuck out a hand to Joel.

"I would like to be the first to congratulate you on your new position, though." She added, brightly.

Rei's hold on Indy poosened as she reached over his shoulder to ruffle Sandrew's hair playfully. "I believe in you Sandrew! So believe in the Rei that believes in you!" She then moved back a bit, and got comfy, chin back on Indy's shoulder.

 

She eyed Raidyn and Toshi, and waved. "Hi. Rei de Wynter. I'm Zion's daughter." She squeezed Indy playfully. "I'm in one of Indy's classes too!" She then kissed his cheek. "He's fun to mess with~"

 

Meanwhile, Zion ruffled Joel's hair playfully. "That's what I teach all of you. Just do your best, no matter what. It's what I did...and now I'm a Master, a mother...and able to guide a new generation in their roads. May it be a road to Light, Darkness, or may they walk in the same path as Riku and I - Dawn."

 

With that said, she backed up. "Finalize groups people, I'll teleport you onto the ships in five minutes!"

"You'll do fine, Sandrew. There's nothing to worry about." Indy joined Rei in encouraging the boy. It was then that he noticed Raidyn and Toshi approach him and the other two people he was talking with. "Oh, hey." He greeted them. He was about to continue, but Rei quickly introduced herself, and for whatever insane reason she had behind it, decided to kiss Indy in the cheek. His face turned bright red, and he looked incredibly confused. "Wh-what the heck was that for?!" He exclaimed, even more embarrassed by the fact that Rei decided to do that right in front of his two best friends. "Y-you'll give them the wrong idea!"

"Well, since we're all getting acquainted, allow me to introduce myself: I am Artemis. Artemis Thornton, a pleasure to meet you all here." He said aloud to anyone in his general area and team, bowing respectfully to no-one in particular. "User of Light and Darkness, Pseudo-Neo-Samurai and I'm eager to see what is in store for us." He added, looking around at the large amount of people around him.

 

-Luna "Nephilim" Urbane-

 

"And I go by Nephilim, personally. You'll often find me around Artemis, as a buddy of sorts, as you would call it. Not interested in him though, before someone starts calling for a ship." She also said aloud, then looking at Zion briefly. "More into other girls myself." She then looked around. "Whatever we find, I hope we can work together instead of squabbling like 5th Graders." She added, chuckling a little.

Before the two could continue, Rei gave Indy a peck on the cheek, causing him to go into what Raidyn and Toshi (mostly Raidyn) described as one of his usual "tizzies". 

 

"Ohh... so that's why he talks to her," Raidyn said softly to Toshi, hiding back his laughter as his friend's embarassment, with Toshi trying to do the same.

Maximilian promptly shaked both their hands with a smile on his face, as for Artemis's question, "No problem, everyone calls me that." he added as he looked at Luna and thought about what she said, "It'l depend on the situation, but I can be of use" he said chuckling a bit himself. "I assume you two got your own tricks as well, hopefully we'l be able to work together in this mission." he added with a casual tone.

"Ohh... so that's why he talks to her," Raidyn said softly to Toshi, hiding back his laughter as his friend's embarassment, with Toshi trying to do the same.

"H-hey, what's so funny?" Indy asked, clearly even more embarrassed now that he could tell they were hiding something. "I-it's not like that. She just said, she just does this stuff to mess with me. And... it works." He spoke quickly and stuttered a bit.

Rei glared. "And why do you think Mommy didn't have a diaghter?" She challenged. "And leave Indy alone. I've already got him losing it, give him a break. He needs to calm down." She didn't get off Indy's back though.

 

Zion facepalmed. "Firetruck sake." Was all she said, before levitating about five feet off the ground, preparing for teleportation.

 

Zion then teleported the entire group onto the Forward Unto Dawn.

"Alright kids. We will fully split up at Twilight Town, but since some aren't decided well give them the ride to decide. Anywho." The ship came alive - they were on the bridge.

"Welcome Back, Goddess."

"Oh you flatterer." She said to the computer. "Ceres, set course for home will you?" She stretched. "I wanna go lie down on the beach while the kids do their thing. Oh, set all consoles to off mode and route all commands to me directly." She stood on a center ring. "Don't need the kids mashing buttons and sending us crashing to our dooms."
