Exiblade7 1,917 Posted August 27, 2015 (edited) I was kinda upset when I hear that Tales of innocence r never got released outside of Japan. My question to you is why we didn't get the game at all? Edited August 27, 2015 by Kaito Daimon
Tails 6,692 Posted August 27, 2015 Well considering how bad Tales of Hearts R did in the West it should really come to no surprise that Innocence R is not coming to the West either. 1 Exiblade7 reacted to this
Shulk 8,623 Posted August 27, 2015 I can't speak specifically for this game, but typically when a game isn't released in the West, it's because the Western publishers/developers don't think it would do well enough to make it worth translating/releasing the game. Of course, they can be proven wrong (Like when Nintendo finally brought Xenoblade to America expecting it to barely sell anything, but the game completely sold out everywhere), but publishers/developers can be rather stubborn about their decisions. I'd imagine the fact that this is a Vita game and the Vita (to my knowledge) isn't very popular in the West contributes to that decision. 1 Exiblade7 reacted to this

I didn't know that it did bad in the west. I'm surprised that it did bad because it's one of my favorite tales games. Still... I'd rather a gaming company to try and sell their games to other countries because if the game sells bad, it sells bad. They can always try again by making another game. Yeah, it didn;t sell to well since the Vita isn't all that popular in America and Europe. Plus, the localization team did a lazy job with the English version of Hearts R. 1 Exiblade7 reacted to this
Minato arisato 253 Posted August 27, 2015 isn't the tales series doing bad in general or somewhat declining in the west? wouldn't that explain why we hardly get most of the spinoffs or some smaller main titles? hell xillia needed two years to gain interest in the west, not like i approve this as it's a fun series but even zestria seems lackluster right now, i'm looking forward for beseria though

The Tales series is starting to get more popular in the West ever since Graces F sold well beyond Bamco's expectations. So that's why we've been getting a lot of Tales games recently over the past few years.
