I don't know where you saw any sort of official confirmation, since there hasn't been anything of the sort.

Saki and Aello ran into the mansion, found a Seeker of Light and ran off into the dining room, where they're now fighting Dusks. The Seeker of Light (controlled by Firaga) is now leaving the mansion to find any lurkers outside (AKA Joel and Lucas).

Just because she's demoted him to Yoshi status doesn't mean there's anything going on between them. I mean, I've never seen Mario show romantic feelings for his own Yoshi.

There might be going in the future, nothing's set in stone yet, she might go for another one or he may go for someone else, but Rei's the one who he has the most physical contact and interaction with, sooo.

Rei is clingy as hell from what I see, so her personal pony that is Indy...might be kept that way.
