The dissapearance of quick time events and loading times makes me wonder what kind of things could also change in KH3.

 

1) Direct start into battle. As we've seen in the E3 trailer several Heartless appear in front of Sora and he immediately runs into battle. Could this be a sign that there will be no longer the "information text" on the screen which tells us what to do next? There are no loading times anymore so this could probably happen.

 

2) No written dialogues. In past KH games there were often written dialogues in speech bubbles between the cutscenes. Since we've never seen them in KH3D we can assume that they won't be in KH3.

 

3) Save points. The big areas require a more efficient solution of placing save points. The problem of KH3D are the big areas and the resulting lack of save points. It is interesting how KH3 will solve this problen. Maybe we will see auto save?

 

4) More Party members. I know that Nomura somehow said that the number of party members will be restricted to three fighters. But it would be a waste of potential if we don't fight with everyone who is currently in the group. There would be more possibilities in the battle. I'm sure that Nomura could change this during the development.

 

5) Conversations during battles and walks. I believe this doesn't need an explanation.

 

So what do you think about changes concerning things that make KH typical? Are there more things that KH3 could make differently compared to the other titles?

There was an option for that? Because the only written dialogue text boxes were at the very end with the three questions.

oh sorry. I thought he was talking about the actual cutscenes that have English text and voice actors.

1. Well I don't see a reason to throw out the info text. Maybe they just hadn't added it into the game at the time?

2. Nah I think there still may be some written dialogues in KH3 I figured they weren't in BBS or DDD simply because of...um...hardware limitations or something.

3. Well the issue of wide open areas isn't an issue with all the movement options we'll have at our disposal so I can still see them having certain areas as the designated save room. 

4.Four party members would be interesting to see done in KH so I don't have anything to say. Sure would add a lot to your #5

5. I think it'd be cool to have a bit of a dialogue exchange between the characters while just walking around. Could allow for some good moments of simple character building between Sora and co. and we could see them interact with the other Disney characters outside of just cutscenes used to move the plot. 

Course it's a double edged sword because sometimes characters talking in the field don't shut up and end up repeating the same lines of dialogue over and over so idk

Hmm, I liked all the points you mentioned, especially regarding the characters talking while battling or walking! I believe it's something that could breathe life into the characters when they aren't talking in cutscenes, ya know? :3

The video game series, Dragon age, already does this. The characters have small conversations when you are running the around the world and continue in battles 

like how it is done in dragon age, and I think something similar would be nice in kh3 *Just showing an example of how something like that has been done before Edited by Yuno Gasai

1) Only story battles had the information text when you where out doing your own thing in the world you ran into battle with no info text so that might be the same thing in KH3

 

2) I can actually see this happen actually I don't think they had that in Birth by Sleep either but the reason for that is that both BbS and DDD where both on handhelds so they probably didn't want to have text cut scenes

 

3) With the save points I'm sure there will probably be places where they just are if there is going to be no loading screens between areas or it could be like in DDD where some save areas still spawn enemies and the save will just disappear until the enemies are either defeated or they de-spawn

 

4) I'm fine with the three basic party members with some worlds having their own party member you can use just like it has been in the past

 

5) this is a cool idea I like that it's kind off like how it was in Final Fantasy XIII where they would just talk while walking and even in battle

1. All KH games let you start a battle without there being information text explaining what you have to do. Unless you're talking about scripted battles? The text only appears then or if you need to be directed somewhere.

 

2. Yeah I really hope the speech bubbles don't come back, the voice acting is good enough so we don't need text.

 

3. 3D had checkpoints every time you entered a room, so maybe KH3 could have that too? I would definitely love auto save though.

 

4. I don't really pay attention to my party members but I would prefer if we had a four person party. That way I don't need to feel guilty about leaving a certain party member out.

 

5. ABSOLUTE YES. Most RPGs these days do it, KH needs to as well. I love characters having conversations while in battle or on the field, it makes them seem more realistic.

Oh wow, that's pretty cool! Yeah, party banter is definitely something that would be awesome to see in KH3! Here's hoping it happens! :D
