Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted August 18, 2015 So I'm quite the fan of comedies; they really brighten my mood on a sad day and make life seem like a brighter place. Of course some are just downright cheesy and shudder-worthy, but I know that there's a lot of great ones out there. Some of my personal favorites are Cheaper By The Dozen, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jungle 2 Jungle, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Does anyone else happen to have any good recommendations? What are your guys' favorites? 1 janicepibc70 reacted to this
MyDixieRect 2,061 Posted August 18, 2015 Airplane! Almost every single line in that film is a joke and it's great. One of the funniest movies I've ever seen. It's an oldie but it's also a classic. 1 Forever reacted to this

Dave 5,715 Posted August 18, 2015 My favorite comedy is It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.
DragonMaster 1,166 Posted August 18, 2015 Monty Python and The Quest for the Holy Grail is quite a popular and hilarious movie. If you haven't seen it, I would definitely recommend it. Also, the movie Get Smart with Steve Carell is pretty funny. It's based off an older TV series by the same name. I've never seen the series so I don't know how they compare, but I found the movie to be very enjoyable. It's basically a spy movie parody. I wouldn't say it's anywhere near the best, but fun nonetheless. 1 Forever reacted to this

HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted August 19, 2015 It's already been pointed out that anything by Mel Brooks is great, and that's 100% true. So many different genres that have been spoofed, my personal favorites being Spaceballs and Blazing Saddles, mostly because sci-fi and Westerns are so entertaining to make fun of. Outside of Mel Brooks, The Man With Two Brains starring Steve Martin is one I've always found to be really hilarious. Also has one of my favorite jokes: "You're playing God!" "Someone has to!!!" 1 Mystics Apprentice reacted to this

Psychic_Ketchup 367 Posted August 19, 2015 Anything with Simon Pegg, especially Hot Fuzz. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is awesome. Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog as well. And, though not feature length movies, the peeps over at LoadingReadyRun.com have been making incredibly good comedy for over 11 years.
