FFXV, Only 65% Done?

Recommended Posts

So as most of you guys know right now of course, FF15 is around 65% done. When I saw this statistic I was fairly disappointed and a bit surprised, only 65%? This game has been in development for years and years now and when Nomura moved his attention from FFXV onto KH3, I thought it was logical to assume that FF15 was pretty much done and there were certain bits that needed to be polished, bugs, glitches fixes and other small things.

Am I the only one who was annoyed by this? If FFXV is only 65%, KH3 is probably 45% which I actually don't mind. But the amount of trailers and information they've given on a game that's only a fair bit over half way? It's kind of disappointing.

Yeah, but most of the remaining work is debugging and localization. This means that the game itself is actually nearly complete and that they're just getting it to a place where it's playable and understandable for everyone.

And let's be honest, FFXV has not been in development for 10 years. XV is no longer Vs. XIII. I'm willing to bet that they're actually completely diffrent games and the the only thing carried over where the characters and main plot points. I bet Vs XIII was actually scrapped, which lead to the name change and the assets carried over to XV. Anyone who thinks that this is the same game that was announced a decade ago below the surface is fooling themselves.

At this point, KH3's development has become completely separated from FFXV. FFXV is releasing next year and KH3, which has a release date already, could be next year as well. I just hope it's winter for thhe holidays and for everyone being home. So, that being said, FFXV is possibly 3/4 of the way done.
