How would Xion return given the events of 358 Days / 2?

Recommended Posts

Read my posts on this thread or watch the DDD cutscenes. Better yet, both. lol

I did watch DDD, in fact I watched a playthrough of it.I'm just wondering how Xion will be able to to connect through sora even though her physical form was scattered.

If you watched/played DDD you would know she grew her own heart. From that Ansem's hidden data can help somehow with a physical form.

Play Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, sweetheart. Then play Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. Then come back.

I think the whole "Who is Xion?" comment was just there to pour salt on the wound with the fact that Xion is completely forgotten once she is eliminated.

I still remember her. *runs away in case anybody tries to make me forget*

Does the returning of Xion not raise the question that Axel and Roxas wouldn't remember her, since all memories of her had been eradicated?

Um...

Forgive me. I haven't played DDD or watched it yet since I don't own a 3DS so that's why I didn't know! Edited by Unknown Figure

If Xion was to come back, I think she may work for The Seekers Of Darkness. Not as a direct seeker of darkness, rather, as a failsafe. That's how she was always designed. Young Xehanort could easily time travel back to the point where Xion was conceived and manipulate her to join the true Seekers Of Darkness after knowing her true fate and purpose.

Nah, I don't think that'll happen. Xion has to be saved, as far as we know, and it'd be really lame to save her just to lose her to the dark side. (And please, no more time travel). Besides, Xion is a friend of Roxas and Lea, she wouldn't turn against them.

They just introduced time travel. Nomura never eliminates a new element of lore that he just recently introduced. Sure, Xion has to be saved but her saving is different from Axel and Roxas. Xehanort is manipulative, he'll have other reasons to have Xion rebel.

Most people don't like the time travel, so I assume it will be a one time thing. Xion's whole life was miserable so far, sacrificing herself for other ones, so I guess she will be saved without any more incidents. But till KH3 is released we won't know for sure  :)

Um nah I don't think they'd use some puppet that nobody even remembers as one of the Norteen. I mean if they could use that power to time travel back to that period, then they would use all that "manipulating" to get Roxas on board....... like Young Xehanort already said they wanted.

This wouldn't happen bc of a few reasons :

1. She became too self aware and developed her own identity so she's a failed candidate for the same reason Roxas was. They both became self aware and grew their own hearts. Same thing happened to Repliku. Neither Xion or Repliku were designed to grow their own separate hearts or wills or identities yet they did. Which made them unsuccessful replicas for the purpose they were made for.

2. In order to be a successful vessel they need to fall or be filled with darkness and they need to cast away their identities. ( this is why Xehanort needed the org members to fall to darkness and to cast away their identities and hearts and why he gave them new X names)

3. If they extracted her grown heart from inside Sora and gave her her own existence she wouldn't be a replica anymore bc her heart was the real deal not a fake or replica. Her new existence would be different from her original existence

I suppose you're right there. It's just that, aside personal experiences, I find it difficult to differentiate Xion from Namine and Kairi (which is not a good thing). What other purpose would Xion have aside aiding The Guardians Of Light?

If you think of it like that, there really is no purpose to bring any of them back except for them to exist and for their friends.  And to gang up on Xehanort :P

I suppose you're right (again). Personally, I haven't got anything against Xion, I just hate how Nomura has made so many key characters visual clones of each other (Sora & Vanitas, Roxas & Ventus, Kairi, Xion & Namine). At the very least Nomura, make them much more distinguishable in terms of appearance!

I totally understand how you feel. It makes sense.

I actually thought the same, and was sure that it makes absolute sense, but then I thought of one thing:

What about Sora? He should've been the 13th vessel, and every one of your three points is true for Sora. So why could he have been a vessel but not Roxas and Xion?
