Solstice 749 Posted August 5, 2015 according to the ending of kh3D (and a Wikipedia article on the plot of DDD) it was stated that "Ventus had a smile on his face, showing Sora's happiness, and stating that he will eventually wake up soon." I don't know about you guys, but I would love to play as Ventus again. "but what about Vanitas?" You may ask. I think that Vanitas will NOT return in kh3, because of the events that took place in BBS. However, Xehanort always has a backup plan to his backup plan. I mean after being rescued, Aqua will probably show the Guardians of Light where she left him, since she is the only one who knows where his body is. As for returning his heart from Sora, the Key to Return Hearts will probably be the solution. As for Vanitas, it's pretty obvious that he was already a vessel for Xehanort in BBS, seeing how he has yellow eyes. (Can't say much for the ears cause his hair is in the way.) Plus, he was hinted to be one of the seekers of darkness in the latest KH3 trailer as two of Xehanort's chess pieces. He could either return through time travel with the help of Young Xehanort, just like how he did it with Ansem SOD and Xemnas as they are 'dead' by the time of Dream Drop Distance, or he could return by Xehanort extracting him from Ventus again.
