Discussion: Ruining Kingdom Hearts III.

So, we're all hyped for KH3, tell us something we don't know, that E3 2015 Trailer was bloody amazing.

 

However, there exist those on the Internet who have....significantly more negative opinions and expectations for the game. Particularly on Reddit, which is filled with mostly Toxic Tripe that exists to piss people off or just for them to vent and state their honest, albeit unreasonably negative opinion/"fact".

 

How unreasonable? Well, there are quite a few of those who say they will never touch or buy Kingdom Hearts III....if it has Frozen, Star Wars or Marvel in it, the rest of the game be damned if it has those Worlds.

 

This Video by Cynical (TheGamersJoint), a KH YouTuber, X-Keeper and fellow KH13 Member says it all:

 

So what do you think?

 

Will you abstain from touching KH3 with a 10-Meter Pole if Arendelle or Hoth show their faces? Will you flip the bird to the rest of the game's content? Or will you be reasonable?

Honestly, I don't care what worlds will/won't appear in Kingdom Hearts III. I'm just way too excited and hyped for that game. And as Cynical said: the game IS in good hands. I'll give it a chance for sure, more than a chance even. I wanna soak up its goodness.

People just say that; they'll end up buying it and playing sooner or later. If they are a true down to earth KH fan; I mean sure they'll bitch about how long it took to make and they'll also complain about the inclusion of certain worlds and elements - In the end they'll probably play it anyway.

Making interesting Theories, being analytical about the Plot, calling out bullshit such as Retcons and other such things does not make you sad and depressed.

It's these people who bitch and moan because they have literally nothing better to do, not people who do some interesting and entertaining stuff.

Yeah, that's another story. For me DDD is one of the best Kingdom Hearts games, story and gameplay wise.

I don't think Catmaster was talking about the Youtubers either. I mean there are people who just complain about plot inconsistencies and blame it on KH's story. You know what never mind, this is getting stupid. I can't express myself very well so I'm leaving this as a misunderstanding.

No one really is at fault. What I really was trying to say is that if a person is obsessed with pointing out flaws and issues about something, then they will never find happiness. I have no issue with Kh theorisers because they are just discussing the game. I was being very hypothetical about it since what I am saying may not be true. But it looks like it came across as me disliking people who make thoeries about KH. Bottom line is, I don't dislike them and actually encourage them to do more discussions.

Yes you're right, it's ok to be critical. I just wanted to say that sometimes people tend to exaggerate about some elements of a game that could ruin the entire game experience. In order to say "I like this videogame so I'll buy it" or "I don't like it so I won't buy" I think it's a bit "exaggerated" to only look at the worlds, especially if we're talking about KH...

Okay first of all; I am good friends with some hardcore KH fans who bitch about the game as well as form somewhat inconcievable hypothesis

I know I do too since I respond to those theory threads here every now and then.

 

I guess my major peeve is when people pick on so many aspects of the game negatively that at times you just wanna say "For Yevon's sake, its Just a game!" - but then again sometimes its nice to have some theories floating about. I know I clash occasionally (and subtly) with Hatok; but he does point out some interesting facts that I may have overlooked and for that I respect people like him.

 

I feel bad that a comment that I posted could have potentially created conflict and made things awkward for you two; and for that I apologise sincerely.

Everyone is entitled to their Opinions regardless if you are a heavy debater or a bystander who watches the debates going on.

Fall not to his grand scheme and insidious design! Let not the darkness cloud thine eyes but too let not the light blind you!

 

With that said I love reading Theories too; its scary sometimes how close people can get.

If you (or anybody here) are a Zelda fan, I highly recommend a youtuber called Vortexxy; her theories are really good and packed with lots of evidence that has been well thought over.
