neil98 313 Posted July 27, 2015 Nowadays they focus on quality for new games. As examples we have bloodborne, smash bros, sunset overdrive, infamous second son, forza motorsport... and looking at the future games line-up it looks promising. So you shouldn't complain about anything because thia generation is just shaping up to be the most memorable of them all.
Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted July 27, 2015 "why make new games when old games sell almost as well and take less effort to make?" at least PS2 remasters were somewhat nice to have because they looked noticeably better on later gen consoles. I have a hard time seeing the difference between a PS3 game and a PS3 game remastered for PS4 at a casual glance. I mean for these PS3 and XBox remasters they could at least add more content to these releases so we have more incentive to buy them instead of prettier graphics. Of course that would require some effort and that just defeats the purpose of releasing a remaster anyways. 1 Dio Brando reacted to this

Tell me you're joking bro. we got the announcement that games will one day be made exciting reveals, to be sure, but just that reveals three years into their life, the PS3 and 360 had launched many insanely popular franchises, and the PS2 era was even more prolific this generation is the generation of promises people care more about the hype of a reveal than if the end result is worth your time

I actually wasn't including Zesteria, I thought it was a new game, thanks for reminding me it's coming to PS3, meaning it's not a selling point for next gen And we did not have all those less than 2 years into the PS3's lifespan. Just saying. I took the data from 2009, in other words 3 years after the Wii's launch so yes, those are all 2009 PS3 games

The new consoles are going to be 2 years-old in 4 more months, don't lose your patience, yet. Now games take more time since most studios try to focus on graphics nowadays, which is sometimes nice, but not really necessary for the enjoyment of a game. So let's just wait it out 2 more years to see if we get another year like those, though I still believe that 2007 and 2009 have been the best years for games, yet. We'll see eventually if another wonder year for gaming is on the way. If Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III were to release on the same year, I think that would be it. I'm using the Wii as a grounding point (and 360 by extension) the Wii U came out in 2012 it's 2015 so this gen is three years old also the fact that not all the games were out yet still doesn't mean much. That's one year's worth of games, and we're not exactly rolling in release dates. Remember that time this topic was called "Remember that time the PS4 got a new game?" Me neither Also it's beginning its third year and there's no improvement in sight should I call up some 2008 games? I can Fallout 3, GTA 4, Star Wars the Force Unleashed, Metal Gear Solid 4, Persona 4, Smash Bros Brawl, Dead Space, Boom Blox, Gears of War 2, Tales of Vesperia, Little Big Planet, Left 4 Dead, DMC 4, Saints Row 2, Fable 2, Dissidia Final Fantasy, Mario Kart Wii, MArio Super Sluggers, Street Fighter IV, Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia, Mega Man 9, Soul Calibur 4, De Blob, Far Cry 2, Sonic Riders 2 yet again, probably more, getting bored of listing so many games 1 Sora96 reacted to this
HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted July 27, 2015 Me and my brother keep getting into arguments over which console we should each get, and every time we can only ever name two games for PS4 or Xbox One. That said, we're specifically not counting multi plat games. If you're looking for a system that can play a lot of games that aren't console exclusive and have lots of definite games coming out soon, either one is a good choice. And if you really want a game with tons of good exclusives, the Wii U exists, though for some reason everyone thinks Nintendo is going to drop it next year despite them never doing that with any console they've ever made.
