For example, Metal Gear Solid was released on the original Playstation. Some years later, they did a remake of the game where they took the exact same game and made scenes better and added many new content not seen in the original.A Remaster is usually taking the same game and converting it to higher quality like a movie. A remake is when a game is completely rebuilt from he ground up, coding, modeling texturing are all completely re-created without being based at all on the original build. Example, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster was a remaster because the look and sound was simply updated.
