Five Nights at Freddy's 4 is TERRIBLE!

Recommended Posts

This game was really a huge  disappointment. I should've learned that around Five Nights at Freddy's 3 that Scott Cawthon was milking the franchise, but I wanted to give him another chance.

I knew that this wasn't going to be good just by looking at the trailer and seeing how fast he was at changing the release dates. Money sure is good, isn't it?

The game is set on a child's mind - he sees the animatronics as evil beings after being bullied by his ollder brother and friends. How cliché.

Everything's meh until the end. Scott gave hints and many people theorized that the victim of the Bite of '87 was Jeremy for the obvious clues that were given throughout the second game and also a bit on the first. This piece of crap says otherwise. His night shift was changed to daytime; he was ordered to stay close to the animatronics; Mangle was the one who caused due to other obvious reasons and she also is the one who enjoys torturing Jeremy while staring at him from the ceiling, randomly giving you the Game Over screen when you less expect it; he didn't return for Night 7 was never heard from again; the animatronics were more agressive towards the Staff and pretty okay with the children; the Toys were deemed too dangerous for a REASON and Phone Guy never says it was a child, too...

SPOILER ALERT

(Doubt anyone cares about this franchise anymore, though.)

Golden Freddy WAS NOT in the second game! He was either stuck on a hidden structure alongside Springtrap or completely gone and was merely a ghost on Jeremy's eyes!

This guy is spitting on the fan's faces by recyling ideas and giving the game bad twists and turns! The first game was a gem! Good atmosphere, sound and jumpscares and the four animatronics that we all love and care. The story was also simple: old restaurant, after a few deaths the place started to lose its fame and Foxy was put aside because of the Bite; the children were killed and are now haunting the place and the killer was eventually caught. Mike was probably the 5th child. With FNAF2 and FNAF3 the story got a little more complex, but everything was soon discovered with the ending and its mini-games. There are no plot-holes or mysteries. Everything was explained on the course of the trilogy! It's all there!!

For me, this game doesn't even exist! It's bad, it's terrible and the jumpscares are just bad and cheap! It's not even scary! Foxy and Freddy are a disgrace. They're easy to fight back and for a game called Five Nights at Freddy's, Freddy sure doesn't do a lot of crap. He was a really big threat on the first game. He's the reason I can't beat Night 6!

I doubt this is the last game. He's gonna keep milking it. I was really into this franchise.

This game is also DESTROYING something on the project that I've been working for six months no! Ugh!

Why bother to keep making games that only 12 year olds will care? Youtubers play it because they get lots of views! 7

I had never been into a game like this... now it's all gone.

I'm gonna finish the movie the way I see fit and I won't care if those annoying little brats will complain about the dates or the Bite. They didn't work their ass off on a movie like this!

Also sorry for my poor grammar. It's 4 AM here.

I'm just gonna wait for MatPat to make sense of all of this in a month.

From what I've seen of the game, it seems like it does have a place in the story. (I've only seen a night so far, but I'll get back to you after I see more.)

I watched a playthrough of it, and, call me an idiot, I liked it. I've also never really figured out all the FNaF lore, nor played the games for myself, but as a stand alone horror game set with the same concepts and ideas of FNaF, like the evil has moved for some reason, and the kids or something else is majorly pissed, makes it okay enough.

However, as with popular films and books driven into the ground by crap sequels, I sadly predict FNaF 5 and 6 in the near future.

Go for broke, make Freddy Fazbear a joke!

And yet, the fanbase doesn't like it when someone says it sucks. I'm watching HMK's stream right now, and people are mad that one of the X-Keepers returned the game because it sucks. Hell, one person began threatening the other X-Keeper because he said it's trash. Tells you how bad the fandom is.

That's pretty much what happens when a fanbase become too obsessed about a franchise to the point not only they berate anyone who criticize it but goes as far as sending actual death threats

I really liked FNAF 4. .It is the best one I have seen as of now. sure, I don't fully understand all of the lore in the game yet, but I really liked it because it looked really challenging and the jumpscares look really scary. The jumpscares where also VERY unique and weren't as repetitive as the previous FNAF games.

From an Easter Egg in the game, the game takes place in 1983, not 1987.

The were no restaurants open in that time.

And why do I even care? The storyline is probably firetrucked up by now. I'm ignoring this game.

The jumpscares's animation is no big deal. The design of the nightmares don't even scare me at all. The sound is too vague to even scare like the screams of the first game who could just make you jump out of your chair. The animations are the same for each one. Bonnie can jumpscare you on the door and on the room, but it's still the same animation.

MatPat really is a good at researchign and uncoverign facts, but he did got so many things wrong in the past about FNAF. Supporting the theory that the game is following the "bad ending" is plain ridiculous if you ask me.

To be honest, ALL of the jumpscares for each animatronic got me at least 3 times and the bonnie jumpscare almost made me fall out of my chair.

Well, we did see paper plate dolls that were most likely modeled after Fredbear/Golden Freddy and Springtrap in Party Room 4.:

But, I respect your opinion, not every game is perfect.

Edit:

I forgot to show this.:

When wasn't it bad? The games have been pretty bland since the beginning. All that matters is the lore and everyone hypes it up like it's actually a good series. Literally what is so fun about staring at a screen for hours to only be hit with well expected jumpscares? That's the most boring shit ever. People need to start opening their eyes because I dunno about you, but i'm definitely sick of the amount of fandoms that exist today where they only know it for the hype and barely understand it.

If it's THAT bad then why are youtubers uploading videos about it and by the way, that's an opinion. xP

Well first of all, some people, obviously not everyone, enjoy playing horror games, even when they are well aware that a jumpscare will get them. Why do people watch horror movies? For the same reason. Some, if not all, of these people want to get scared, they want to feel the fear. What this game series does really well when it comes to the fear factor isn't the jumpscares themselves, but the anticipation for them. You know that you're stuck in a building with some animatronics who are coming your way to get you and kill you. You know that they are there and you know that they can come out at you at any moment, you just don't know when. Your hands shake, your heart starts beating faster, you might even sweat a little. But like I said, the jumpscares may or may not be scary to you, but the anticipation for them really sets in the fear factor for this game series. If you still don't think it's scary fine, but you're making it sound like what you're saying is fact and not your own opinion. If you hate the games and/or the fandom, whatever, but keep your opinions as opinions and not facts for everyone else.

Meaningless jump scares annoy me. In fact, I think it's amusing how many indie horror games think they can scare me just by throwing some loud noises my way. It's like the game knows I'll get bored wandering around their empty Unity-based hallway. It can certainly startle me, but I can get started by a smiling picture of a cute ghost if it's sudden enough and accompanied by a loud noise -- a mechanic pointed out in (appropriately) Spooky's House of Jump Scares.

FNaF4, on the other hand, can freak me out just by watching a Youtube video of it. No game in recent memory managed to accomplish that. In fact, I'd say it has the most effective use of jump scares I've seen in a long time, arguably even more than FNaF1. Oh snap, I went there. *snap*

Because they know the fanbase and their fanbase. People like them are so easy to catch. I'd bet I could pick up FNAF4 and put my own playthrough up on youtube, not even well known and I'd hit plenty of subscribers because i'm playing it and the game is a "masterpiece."

Also, if you're telling me it's an opinion, you'd be correct. It is an opinion and it's my opinion. I will make it know.

Also, I don't even think this is the Bite of '87, a lot of us believe that this is either the sister location, the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza where the Springlock Suits were used in 1983, and DLC is coming for FNAF4, said to come out as a free update on October 31st, we could get answers about all of these strange plot things. On this bite Fredbear/Golden Freddy did likely killed the child.

and plus at the end of the game, the child's WHOLE head got bitten by fredbear, which further supports that this is the "bite of 83" not the bite of 87. According to the phone guy on night one in FNAF 1, he says that someone's frontal lobe was bitten off. That is not that case in the ending of FNAF 4.
