Sora96 17,256 Posted July 20, 2015 Final Fantasy IV, originally in development for the NES, released on the SNES in 1991. Directed and written by Hironobu Sakaguchi with Takashi Tokita as lead designer and co-writer, Yoshitaka Amano supplying the art, Nobuo Uematsu taking advantage of the SNES improved sound chip and Hiroyuki Ito designed his legendary Active Time Battle system. The game sold strongly selling over one million copies worldwide. Final Fantasy IV has of course been ported many times to the original PlayStation, to the Wonder Swan Color, to the Game Boy Advance and most recently with its sequel The After Years on PlayStation Portable. It also however received a full 3D remake for Nintendo DS with Takashi Tokita serving as director & executive producer. This remake also sold over a million copies in a short amount of time. This remake has since been remastered in HD with the Lunar Ruins for iOS, Android & PC. Following the remake, Tokita and a lot of the staff from the remake developed Final Fantasy IV: The After Years a sequel to Final Fantasy IV. Initially for Japanese mobile phones it was later ported to Wii and PSP before also receiving a full 3D remake for iOS, Android & PC. @Sora96 Thanks a lot!— 時田 貴司 (@Takashi_Tokita) July 20, 2015 4 lostmemory123, WakelessDream, The 13th Kenpachi and 1 other reacted to this
