EaglesFan887 11 Posted August 16, 2010 Well my birthday is tomorrow, August 16, and I'm getting a Xbox 360. I'm paying for it with my money, only 100 bucks. It comes with some games, but my moms getting me some games for my birthday. So any suggestions? I like RPG Games, driving games like the GTAs but not racing games. Shooting games like CoD and Halo, and other games. Just post your favorite Xbox 360 games here!
Ven 4 Posted August 16, 2010 Maybe...Possibly.... FINAL FANTASY XIII? No, seriously, it's a good game. Eternal Sonata is also a very good one.
Cellar Door 652 Posted August 16, 2010 well, i really enjoy left4dead2, thats a zombie game centered around teamwork. owo if you like cod and etc, you shouldd reaalllyreally try battlefield bad company 2. its a millions times better than cod, at least in my opinion. ;w; though to make those two more fun, you should prolly get live and idk if you have the money to yet? i just buy 10 buck prepaid cards /cheapcheapcheap ffxiii is a great game, ven's right. ive never played eternal sonata tho. if you want a cheap game to laugh at because its so bad, you could get deadly premonition. /shot
Amon 4,279 Posted August 16, 2010 You may not want to buy the games right away. There are a lot of good games coming out a month from now like the following. Fable 3 (RPG) Halo Reach (FPS) Black Ops (FPS) Fallout: New Vegas (RPG) Dead rising 2 (action/survival) Or if you want to buy the games right away Just Cause 2 (Action, a lot like grand theft auto only with over 200 miles of play area) Battlefield Bad Company 2 (shooter) If anything you should buy xbox live gold for a few months. You get one month free with your console so be sure to take advantage of that. Gold will allow you to play with friends and download movies, games, music and all this other stuff. You can buy gold and download some games from the Xbox Live Arcade or get Games on Demand. Arcade games are cheap games that are exclusive for the 360. Games On Demand is made up of older 360 games but they are cheap too. I don't know what your budget is for games but you can use the one month of xbox live for free and use that to download 2 to 4 arcade or games on demand. You also don't pick which games come with the console. As a rule of thumb, the more money you pay for the console, the better games that come with it. Godot 513 Posted August 16, 2010 According to my brother and my cousin, Oblivion: Elder Scrolls IV is a good game. I've never played it, so I can't really say anything about it, but they seem to like it a lot.
Amon 4,279 Posted August 16, 2010 Oh yeah Elder Scrolls is a lot of fun. It's basically like medieval grand theft auto.
Spitfire 2 Posted August 16, 2010 i suggest waiting and getting Halo reach, Assassin's creed brotherhood, or medal of honor. I didn't mention call of duty black ops because if it is anything like MW2, then I don't recommend it.

Cellar Door 652 Posted August 18, 2010 i vote up for elder scrolls. never played it, but people keep telling me to get it and say its amazing soz. bioshock is a must have & a classic. maybe not right now, but eventually, owning a 360, you need to get that game. pspgameboy 6 Posted August 18, 2010 I guess I'm the only person here that could not get into Oblivion and I felt that its overrated. The game can be long but most of the quests is the same that it got tedious and boring very fast. The many NPCs in this game did not feel lifelike to me due to them almost saying the say thing like the others and it seems that Bethesda only hired like 5 voice actors for this game. The game can also be very glitchy at times and one major glitch caused me to not finish a mainquest. Unfortunately, I did not have a backup file so I couldn't finish the game after that and it was a complete waste of time. I still haven't tried my cheap used copy of Fallout 3 but after what happened with Oblivion I'm not sure if I feel like playing it. As for the question, you can try out these games: Shooters:Bioshock, Gears of War, The Darkness (An underrated gem with a good story), Saints Row 1 & 2 (Kinda like GTA), Red Dead Redemption (almost like GTAIV but takes place in the west and does not have annoying phone call from your friends), Dead Space & The Orange Box(comes with Half Life 2*one of the best FPS IMO*, Episode & 1&2, Portal*great puzzle and hilarious* and Team Fortress 2) For RPGs: Blue Dragon(I thought it was ok but you might like and its made by the creator of Final Fantasy), Lost Odyssey (again made by the creator of Final Fantasy) and Tales of Vesperia. if you want a cheap game to laugh at because its so bad, you could get deadly premonition. /shot What are you talking about? It IS the best game ever! DX ........... So says Mr. Stewart (*stares at coffee*) Did you see that Zach?! Clear as a crisp spring morning. FK..... in the coffee.
