youyousuf 23 Posted July 13, 2015 I'm considering starting to play the Xenoblade series, though i'm not sure how many titles are there for the series. Anyways the reason i started this topic is to hear the opinions of people that have played any of the games. Thanks
Shulk 8,623 Posted July 13, 2015 (Obligatory post from Shulk in a Xenoblade-related thread) At the moment, only one Xenoblade game has been released outside Japan. Xenoblade is actually a small part of the Xeno franchise, which has seen a few different publishers over time. Nintendo bought the developers, Monolith Soft, and began the Xenoblade series with Xenoblade, otherwise known as Xenoblade Chronicles in the West. I highly recommend the game if you're a fan of RPGs, it's a really unique and fantastic experience. It's on the Wii, although that version can be difficult to find for a decent price if you live in North America. There's also a remake on the New Nintendo 3DS, but it does not work on the original 3DS. I'd personally recommend finding a copy of the Wii version if you're interested in playing it, but if you aren't able to do so and have/want a New 3DS, the portable version is still a great game. Also, Xenoblade X (Xenoblade Chronicles X in the West) will be released in December this year for the Wii U. If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer! 4 TheEightMelodies, Josuke Higashikata, youyousuf and 1 other reacted to this
Guest Posted July 13, 2015 Shulk forget Riki, Riki love Xenoblade too! In all seriousness, it's a fantastic game, not quite a series (Xenoblade X is more of a spiritual successor to it) and it's worth every penny IMO. It's well-paced, it does the MMO Autoattack combat style right with button prompts and other things to consider in the fight, the story is very well done, and it puts forth a great, plot-twisty head-screwy story the whole way round. I have got a New 3DS system and I saw the game on the Nintendo Eshop, i felt like playing the game since i like playing as Shulk in Super Smash 4 and found him a very interesting character. I would be looking forward to the Wii U sequel once i finish Chronicles. 1 Shulk reacted to this

Setrex 1,031 Posted July 14, 2015 (edited) Xenoblade Chronicles is a real gem from Monolith Soft. I can't really add much more to what others in the thread have already said, the game is seriously really good. Soundtrack, characters, story, gameplay and the sheer amount of content in the game alone makes it a worthy purchase. They've already told you anything that needed to be told, just buy and play it now! You'll never be disappointed by such a masterpiece! (btw, Her Majesty Yoko Shimomura was one of Xenoblade's OST's composers if you wanna know ) Edited July 14, 2015 by Seeker Of Nothingness 1 youyousuf reacted to this

Setrex 1,031 Posted July 14, 2015 (edited) I decided to ask on this website since google gave me mixed opinions and some of them were negatives . Glad i took the decision to refer to this website . I think the issues mainly arise from those who say the New 3DS version isn't as good as it was on the Wii (the game is huge and the N3DS version is a massive achievement in itself). You'll also get some who slate the graphics or the fact the game was on the Wii in general. Every great game will have haters You are best to just try the game out and you definitely did the right thing asking on here. A number of people adore the game and are always looking to convert those willing to give it a shot! Guest Posted July 14, 2015 Xenoblade Chronicles is my favourite game series of all time. It's Nintendo's Chrono Trigger. I could gush on endlessly about the marvel of Xenoblade Chronicles but it's preferable if you play it for yourself. Just be prepared for a lot of plot twists!
