Revolart 431 Posted July 13, 2015 Was there any explanation to why the portal to keyblade graveyard appeared in Disney Castle and why wasn't it featured as a traversable world in KH2 like in KH BBS? What exactly happened to that world ?

What exactly happened to that world ? well it's not canon, but the closest explanation we have is Donald mentioning time travel, so I've always interpreted it as the magic used to summon the Timeless River making things unstable, causing the portal to the past to form 1 Pokemoncuzzie reacted to this
Pokemoncuzzie 271 Posted July 13, 2015 Maybe Xehanort opened the portal because he was feeling salty about losing to a hunk of metal so he wanted Sora to kick its ass.
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted July 13, 2015 Donald thinks it might be similar to the door to Timeless River, so it's probably a gateway to the past. It's likely that it spurred into existence in response to the door being there, but there's not much explanation as to why it shows up. Maybe by that point Kingdom Hearts is so powerful that it caused the Lingering Will to stir, but it's speculation and the episode's canonosity hasn't been confirmed. But I tend to follow the belief that the extra bosses are canon, particularly the ones that hint at the next installment afterwards, like how the Unknown fight in KH Final Mix was canon, it's likely that the Lingering Will boss is canon as well. catmaster0116 2,676 Posted July 13, 2015 There are many mysteries to the KH universe and this is just one of them."Why Disney Castle?" Another question I want answered is that when you fight the Absent Silhouettes (Marluxia, Larxene and Lexaeus) you get sent to a large circular battle stage on another dimension - this place of battle needs to be clarified as well. Maybe Xehanort opened the portal because he was feeling salty about losing to a hunk of metal so he wanted Sora to kick its ass. Feeling 'Salty'? You're gonna have to tell me what its like to be feeling 'salty' Is it only something Sora can feel?

Nah man he just has the keyblade glider's keys and wants to go out on a joy ride but the armor is a sore looser.

I just meant that Xehanort was a sore loser after getting his ass kicked by Terra's armor

If we want to go with "canon" - maybe it appeared because it was the only world where Terra didn't do stupid things and was celebrated... then some mumbo jumbo let him feel Sora's presense there, blah. Nomura said it's not canon. You'll have to ask Flaming Lea or someone to cite it, because I'm awful at searching for articles But yeah, the script for BBS definitely wasn't written to the point where they'd know something about how Terra acted i Disney Town when they made this boss. Again, if they went with canon, Donald mentions the portal having something to do with time travel
KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted July 14, 2015 The canon element of the portal has yet to been seen, but I think it was there to bring Sora just a hint closer to realizing destiny. I mean, you see in the subtitles what the sentiment is saying and we know Ven and Aqua, so Sora I think was not there by accident.
