The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted July 10, 2015 It sounds a little confusing at first, but does anyone remember any sort of experiences to do with Kingdom Hearts. For example, I use to be so obsessed with KH. I taught a friend everything about it during primary school (2008/2009) and we'd take the toy swords from the school toy locker and pretend we were Sora and Riku, going through all the different Disney worlds. We'd imagine there were heartless and start slashing the air, pretending we killed a bunch of them. It was sad, but we were kids, what can I say Do you have any fond memories similar or different to do with KH?
Forever 3,550 Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) (1.) My mother letting me stay home from school one day as a little girl, just so we could play KH together. Also, begging to fly the Gummi ship, as it was one of my favorite parts back then. (2.) Us both failing miserably as we tried to defeat Leon in Traverse Town..... I don't think we even lasted a minute. (3.) Trying to drop a Kingdom Hearts reference on my classmates in Junior High.... but when I mentioned "Heartless" they thought I was talking about a rap song. Q_Q (4. ) Doodling shit loads of KH inspired fanart during class, and trading them with my friend.....Or getting them taken away by the teacher, and having to draw them all over again. (5.) Going through a time when I was obsessed with Sora's look..... so I'd intentionally buy shoes too big for my feet. (6.) Trying to style my hair like Sora's.....Or trying to dye my hair blue like Saix...(Both failures ) (7.) Being young, and not very good at video games.....begging my older cousin to beat the bosses for me, so I could continue exploring the worlds. (8.) Joining this site, forging an incredible amount of friendships and connections......meeting my dear Sean.... It's a combination of little things, I suppose. Veemon 1,540 Posted July 10, 2015 Doodling fancypants versions of most of the Kingdom hearts characters, ranging from Kingdom hearts 1 sora, to Terra, Ven, and Aqua, to Final form Xemnas. Sometimes when I hear Some Kingdom Hearts music, preferably "Future Masters" from BbS, I grab the remote (it's kinda long) and hold it back-hand and acting like Ven. Of course, I failed at spinning the remote just like Ven so I almost lose grip of it and I stop spinning it and sit down, with this embarrassed look on my face. Huh, I guess we do some strange things when we are just kids. 1 Forever reacted to this
2 quid is good 2,209 Posted July 10, 2015 I remember in about 2011/12 someone had an England flag, left over from the world cup or something, and it had a long wooden pole. So me and my cousin cut out a handle shape from polystyrene, and the kingdom key's prongs(?) From cardboard, put it all together and made the Kingdom Key! But then we realised we didnt have silver/grey paint, so it became the Kingdom Key D! We had a lot of fun with it, but one day we got too excited and hit it against a wall so hard it snapped in two I also remember when we first got a ps2, the first games we bought for it was sonic heroes and kingdom hearts 2. At the time, I knew of kingdom hearts, but what I knew most of was 358/2 days, so we all thought that Roxas was the main character at first Also related to this, during KH2's tutorial whenever Sora's dream/memories would finish and the screen would go all static me and my bros were terrified that we had broken the TV! So we took out all the plugs, all the memory cards, and we wiped down the disc so many times I'm surprised we didn't get friction burns! 2 Forever and The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this
Nick Sideris 1,551 Posted July 10, 2015 I think it was my 10th birthday or something and I was , like , obsessed with KH I . Friends and family would visit me and I was so stuck at the game that I didn't even greet them . 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this
The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) I think it was my 10th birthday or something and I was , like , obsessed with KH I . Friends and family would visit me and I was so stuck at the game that I didn't even greet them . I'm nearly 16 and I'm still like this. By the time I was around 8/9 the ps2 was gone and I had no KH left , so I would sit in front of the computer watching the KH1 cutscenes on youtube every Saturday. I use to pretend I was Sora a lot The teacher asked us to write stories in primary school, so I wrote out the entire first part of Kingdom Hearts 1, perfectly, dialogue and all. RikuFangirl2008 1,368 Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) Kingdom Hearts 1. When I first saw the trailer on TV, I wanted it so bad, but we didn't have a PS2 at the time. 2. I wanted as my first PS2 game but it was sold out at Walmart, so I picked Jak and Daxter at the time (I should've have listened to my brother of what he said of getting Jak 2 instead, but NOOOOOOOO). 3. I finally got it and I enjoyed it. 4. Me and my brother's stupid argument Ty the Tasmanian Tiger can beat Sora, NO Sora can beat Ty. 5. My aunt talks about how big Sora's feet are and my grandmother thought Sora was a girl.... 6. I drew some pictures in high school (My drawing of Sora was terrible....). Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memores GBA VERSION 1. Was excited for another Kingdom Hearts game to come out, but having the thought of why the GBA (I guess...). 2. Starting off great then it got hard, to the point of me sometimes putting the game down for a while, then pick it up again. 3. Was shocked Axel said "Hell". 4. It took me years to FINALLY beat Sora's story. 5. I'm still stuck on the final battle in Reverse/Rebirth. Kingdom Hearts II 1. During the development stages in Japan, my brother would secretly call me from my room and looked at some KH2 pictures on Google (Our stepmother at the time wanted us to use the internet for school projects, instead of playing internet games). 2. My brother told me some things that his friend said about the game (A blonde haired kid named Roxas, the gummi ship missions, etc.). 3. My brother helped out buying the game, and we ate Taco Bell that day. 4. The return of Sephiroth (I lasted about 1 to 3 mins.? He beated me more than 17 times). 5. Overwriting my first file with another (and I did FINALLY beat Sephiroth in that file....). 6. Was shocked you can play as Mickey and my brother was trying to snatch the controller out of my hands. 7. I met a boy at my aunt's party, and my family was confused of what we were talking about. Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories 1. My brother gave it to me for Christmas and--I WAS TOTALLY SHOCKED TO FIND OUT SQUARE REMADE THIS ON THE PS2!!! 2. Despite me loosing to some boss battles, I beat it quicker than the original. 3. Donald healing the enemy... Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days 1. My brother gave me his game. 2. about 2 of the bosses ticked me off. 3. I cried at Xion's death. Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep 1. When seeing Master Eraqus for the first time, he looks so familiar and it was bothering me. 2. I found out from a friend online that Yen Sid was spelled Disney backwards and Eraqus was spelled Square backwards. 3. I finally got my own PSP and the game. 4. I found out about the teeth of Eraqus's Keyblade was shaped like an "E" and it looks like the "E" from "Enix". 5. I was completely shocked to find out that Eraqus looks like Sakaguchi. (I'll place a star on that. lol) 6. I was so ticked at Xehanort of what he did. Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance 1. Seeing the intro on You Tube for the first time, made me cry. 2. Was depressed that I couldn't get the game and a 3DS. 3.My brother gave me his used 3DS with a DDD case, and Pokemon X. 4. Enjoying playing the game and learning about Flowmotion. 5. Got MINDBLOWNED over what was revealed. Outside the game series 1. Wanted to get the KH Manga but my stepmother wouldn't let me. 2. Was hesitant to join KH13, then I did it anyway. 3. Dad kept calling it Kingdom of Hearts. 4. Mom kept getting Sora mixed up with Musashi from Musashi: Samurai Legend. 5. Was shocked that there was a TCG. I think that's it. WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted July 10, 2015 I'll give two examples: 1.) I had never heard of Kingdom Hearts at this time, and it was the day the game came out. My cousin got the game and came straight to my house with it as they were visiting from out-of-state and so I was the one who had a PS2 that she could use. I had no idea what game she had brought into my house, but I let her play it on my TV, and so my sister, my two cousins, and myself were huddled around my TV watching my cousin played the game. As soon as Donald's first scene happened, we all laughed and I knew that KH was a video game series that was perfect for me! 2.) I also remember playing KH2 so much back in the early years of its release that I actually broke my old PS2 by overheating it! Lucky that I got a new one, but still when you play a game so much that even the system can't handle it anymore, you know you have a slight problem! KairiKeybasH 851 Posted July 10, 2015 When i was 10 or 11. After my brother beat the first game, my brother believed that i was crying at the ending. When i was 12...i had a crush on Sora. Yeah...but years later i just moved on.
Edgar Fabian Santana 4 Posted July 12, 2015 I was obsessed with Riku's character and style. Whenever i practice sword fighting, i stance up the same way Riku does. I still to this day want to dye my hair the same color as Riku's (can't wait to do it). Was on KHInsider before this, but after my ex and i broke up i had to get rid of that account cuz I didn't want to try and contact her. i even got Riku's road to dawn keyblade and Sora's kingdom key crossing each other on my back, matching tattoo with my best friend, he has the same only he has a paopu fruit in the background. VisitJoan 2,713 Posted July 12, 2015 Once my cousin and I had a whole conversion without even mentioning what we were talking about. Me: Eight is great. Him: That sounds like a fiery hot topic. Me: Got it memorized? Him: Yeah, I'll commit it to memory. Me: You better. Or you'll be blank with a capital B.
Songbird Rebel 151 Posted July 13, 2015 I don't really know for sure with my Kingdom Hearts memories But I could say that if it wasn't for my parents introducing me to Kingdom Hearts II, than I would never had something that will help in driving me towards my dreams and open doors to more opportunities in jobs (such as a character designer, or even a video game designer.) and even widened my chances of working for either Disney or Square Enix
FrightfurUnversed 177 Posted August 4, 2015 so i have a really funny story actually me and my cousion used to play kingdom hearts alot. and sometimes wed pretend to be the characters and make up adventures too. well my other cousion wants to join. but she doesnt want to be a character from the games. so my other cousion basically told her that was stupid who are you going to be then she looks around and sees a water bottle on the ground and just yells out AQUAFINA. and we start laughing at her because that name is silly. she gets all flusterd changes it to aqua and we start playing. so when the character Aqua came out it was REALLY funny to me. she didnt want to be a kingdom hearts character so she decided to make up her own and then now theres a kingdom hearts character called Aqua it was perfect. me and my cousions getting stuck on the scene where the heartless take over the island. we thought we were supposed to attack them at first kept dying. and then we figured it out. argueing over whos turn it was. dressing up as sora for Hero day at school and the other kids getting mad because soras not a super hero/hero. DO NOT TELL ME SORA ISNT A HERO. batman/ superman only save one city constantly. sora has saved countless worlds and probably fought more enimes than all of them put together. plus hes awesome. also it was hero day not superhero day. spending hours in the gummy garage. makeing ships. finding this little island in the creek with my cousions and pretending it was destiny islands trying to make a raft and failing. ..i got lots of memories) 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this
