Also, SE's definition of very soon is "very long time"

Exactly! I know this is silly, but there is a difference between "soon" and "very very soon" (quoted from his translator). You're correct; Nomura has told us "soon" many times, and that usually means either several months or the next gaming convention, but that's why this is odd. Disney apparently picked the reveal date, which shocked Nomura, which I think we could argue to mean BEFORE D23 Japn or TGS. If the game is coming out late 2016 (as many fans believe now), the a world reveal next month isn't too crazy.

I think Square is saving all big info for the KH event.  I would expect some news about either Unchained X or maybe DDDHD (But even that is a stretch)

But the way Nomura answered the question made it seem like Disney is making the call on this one. Maybe normally Square does decide when information is released, but Disney seems to be more hands on with KH3. Otherwise I would completely agree with you.

Bing Bong needs to be in this now :( ^

While I don't want to get my hopes up, I just can't shake the feeling that we are going to get a world reveal next month. Why? Because the D23 Expo will be happening in Anaheim, California from August 14th to the 16th. Before you completely dismiss this idea, look at the evidence for it:

1. Kingdom Hearts showed up for the last American D23

Posted Image

Before its release for America in September, the Disney Interactive section did have a few stations set up for people to try out 1.5 for the PS3. It was a small set up, but to be fair it was a small-ish game. Disney still made the effort to showcase it, which leads to the next point...

2. Disney is batting for Team KH now

Let's see: Disney Interactive Co-President John Pleasants was present during KH3's official announcement at E3 2013, two important people (Greg Coleman & Roy Conli) from Disney Animation Studios promoted KH3 at the most recent E3, Disney held launch parties for simple HD collections on their own properties (Downtown Disney and the Disney Studio lot), and Disney gave precious stage time to the KH series during the first ever D23 Japan Expo, and will be holding a Fan Event during the next one in November. We haven't seen Disney be this supportive of KH since KH2's release, so it wouldn't be far fetched to think they'd have something special for KH this August because....

3. Disney wants EVERYONE at their party

Just look at Comic Con this year. Marvel isn't even showing up and Star Wars won't be revealing a trailer. If Marvel wanted to, they could EASILY have shown a teaser for Captain America 3 and at least some of the final concept art for Doctor Strange. I mention this because, when Disney is controlling the reigns, they want all the good stuff for their convention. Instead of a world reveal being "wasted" on a random magazine interview or TGS, they would want to reveal it at their own party. The timing would also work because...

4. New worlds will be shown "very soon"

During the "Spotlight on Kingdom Hearts" presentation at E3 2015, Nomura was asked when we would get more world information, and he replied that "he had just had a meeting with Disney about what to announce next and that he unexpectedly found out they would announce another world very very soon". It seems odd that Nomura would be surprised about releasing new KH information at a KH fan event that he knew about months before this interview, or even at a gaming convention like TGS, but a world reveal two months after E3 would be surprising.

Will there be a demo? No. Will there be a stage event? No. Will Nomura be there? Probably not. The D23 in August would be the perfect place for a world reveal. Pixar's inclusion would be a big deal, so why not at Disney's own convention. Or show off an old property like Robin Hood. He may not be recognized by the mainstream, but in a room full of Disney Finatics? They would drool all over him.

So, those are my thoughts and crazy theories. What do you all think?

You've completely forgot to mention the fact that John Lasseter is the current Chief Creative Officer for Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar. What this means for Kingdom Hearts is that it has a much higher probability of featuring Pixar worlds. This man is a big deal as not only did he produce the concept of Toy Story, Toy Story 2 and A Bugs Life, but, he also was the very same guy who sorted out the dubbing for Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli projects. They're both good friends.

Back to topic, he will praise Kingdom Hearts for bringing world structure and storytelling to life through the video game medium.

Not really what I was talking about, but yeah, I'm sure Lassie would like Pixar in KH.

I know, I just wanted to point that out. In relation to the topic, it's a possibility. Nomura did state that a new world may be revealed "Sooner than we think". What I'm able to decipher out of this is that, people are expecting new footage for D23 Expo Japan, however, if it really is "sooner" than we think then it may indeed be for the US Disney Expo.

Prediction: Traverse Town confirmed for Kingdom Hearts 3.

There is little to no reason for Traverse Town to reappear. I'm a fan of the world in the original Kingdom Hearts and Dream Drop Distance, however, Traverse Town was built as a world of refuge. I don't really think that there is anybody in Kingdom Hearts 3 that is in refuge.

Welp, KH3 won't be at Comic Con. Instead it will be just Marvel stuff, Once Upon a Time, Disney Infinity, and stuff not related to KH. We can scratch Comic Con off the list of potential places.

Square Enix are the kind of company to let their big reveals really sink in, no new footage or major news would have been in Comic Con as that would have been too soon from E3.

Also no one at Comic-Con would've cared.........I think.

They would have. It just wasn't the right place, date and time to announce it there and then.
