I just realized that either MX or Vanitas could have been the keyblader that tried to destroy the world. In KH I, you find out that there was a saying about the keyblade, something like 'one saved the world while another brought ruin to it'. It would serve great poetic justice if Vanitas fit this description since he is sort of the evil sora. What do you guys think?

what that story (the one that says the keyblade brings peace, but brings ruin) is referring to what ven did, he destroyed the x-blade, sealing kingdom hearts (which led to peace), but by destroying the x-blade he left kingdom hearts incomplete and 'cut' the x-blade in half (which led to shattering peace)

[if i am correct upon the x-blades destruction, it turned into the two kingdom keys, which were needed in kh1 to close kingdom hearts, which was why king mickey desperately needed sora's keyblade]

Personally I think that those legends are talking about the war. Some were trying to keep the light safe (peace) and others were trying to claim it and ruined the world.
