Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 5, 2015 Ani sighed softly as he watched the scene happen before him. He expected as much as a reaction from Miguel's brother, however it still deeply unsettled him. He Ani couldn't imagine feeling such a way. Just the scene alone made Ani want to cry to Grim and his brother. "But it wasn't God..." He whispered, wanting to just go over there and give Grim a hug. The clouds were gray and the day grew chilly almost as if even the Earth was mourning the loss of Miguel. Ani looked up the steep hill yards ahead to see Sage there, leaning against the tree as he did when Jorge died.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 6, 2015 Andres and Undertaker filled the grave with dirt as the day grew dimmer. Eyes that were usually full of life and joy were dulled by sadness and heartbreak as they filled the grave to its top, Undertaker hammering a cross on top which had Miguel’s name carved it. Death glanced up and looked over his shoulder to see Sage on top of the hill, much like the day they had met. For a moment he thought of walking over to him, but eventually he went against it. He wanted to stay a bit longer. With his family. With Miguel. “Death…” Undertaker murmured. “Thank you for everything.” Death began. “But we wish to stay for a bit longer…We’ll be fine.” Death assured, the small family of three standing around the grave. Undertaker frowned, taking his son and ushering him inside. The priest shook his head and turned, walking back to prepare for mass. Andres kept his hands in his pockets, and frowned, glancing up at the gray sky. “If only it was god…maybe it would be different then.” He whispered. Then it began to rain. Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 7, 2015 Ani felt utterly terrible as he watched Miguel's family grieve. Never has he seen such a sight before, and it made him feel so guilty to know that maybe there was a way to stop this from happening. Perhaps there was. Ani couldn't bring himself to make that much eye contact with anyone. Sage meanwhile, noticed Death looking at him. Sage sighed and suddenly hissed as he felt drops of rain fall into his skin. Sadly, the rain burned and as a result he turned around to disappear. He wanted to stay longer, but honestly maybe that wasn't such a good idea. There were things to be done, and Sage honestly had no idea of what to do. How the hell is he going to bring back Miguel? "I couldn't even bring back my little brother... How hell am I going to bring the kid back? I don't think anyone has been resurrected before..." He uttered as he disappeared.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 7, 2015 -A few weeks later- The rumours of the death of Miguel spread like wildfire, much faster than what Death would have expected. When a new grave appeared and a child stopped showing up, people got two and two together pretty quickly. Some offered their condolences, others kept to themselves. After a few weeks everything just seemed to slowly fade into the normal. Death returned to his duties as he always did. Megara stopped her tears and moved on, despite how painful it was to do so. The worse of them all was Grim. The child had yet to smile since, and his appetite was poor to the point Death worried he might have to eventually force Grim into eating more to keep him healthy. He didn't run anymore, nor played. Even Santiago tried to cheer him up to not much progress. The two were in Santiago's room, as Santiago had asked Grim if he wanted to come and play in an effort to stir some other emotion in him. So far it wasn't going so well. "Do you think Miguel is happy in heaven?" Grim asked. Santiago paused and thought the question thoroughly. "Yeah, I think so. He's with Jorge." Santiago answered. "But I miss him." Grim sighed. The two stayed in silent for a little bit, before Grim spoke again. "I don't even know if heaven is as pretty as they say. He could be bored." Grim mumbled. "Well, actually. Maybe he's not in heaven and he found himself in the Land of the Dead!" Santiago piped up, gasping to himself once he realized how loud he said it. Grim looked interested. "I've heard of that before. Mom told me a story of that once." Grim hummed. "Well, it's an old story from tradition." Santiago said as he stood up and looked underneath his bed, pulling out a large and colorful book and setting it in front of the two. He opened it to reveal if was a pop-up book of the same bedtime story that Megara had once told them. "The story is based on the myth that when people die, they go to a place known as the Land of the Dead, where they live with their ancestors and family members for eternity." Santiago explained, turning the page as the pop up showed a cheerful town filled with dancing skeletons. "I remember..." "Yeah. The story goes that someone died, so their lover killed himself and went to the Land of the Dead, and brought them back to life." Santiago explained. "Pretty romantic huh?" As Grim stared down at the book, something in his mind seemed to click. He flipped the pages to where the man died and traveled to the land. "Everyone who dies go to the same place, right?" Grim asked. "Well," Santiago began. "The good ones go one place and the bad ones go another place. At least that's what the father says." Grim lowered his hand, feeling the page as his fingertips stopped on the drawing with the man holding a bottle of poison. ...that's it! Thunder suddenly clapped, scaring both children to their senses. Undertaker knocked on the door and opened it. "It seems like a storm is going to brew. I don't want to cut the playmate short, but I think you should go home before it begins to rain, Grim." Undertaker said. Grim nodded. "Yeah. Mom wouldn't want me to get sick from the rain." Grim stood up and looked at Santiago. "See you later, Santi." Grim said, nodding at Undertaker and walking away. Santiago couldn't help but to feel at unease. The gleam in Grim's eyes...something was wrong.
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 8, 2015 Sage spent the weeks practically ripping his hair out, which was surprising due to the fact that he really didn't care about most things. Ani was in a even worse position, as he still couldn't get over Miguel's death either. They both looked anywhere and everywhere for some kind of solution, but there was none. Sage couldn't even find Miguel anywhere in the afterlife, and Ani obviously couldn't find Miguel either. Ani never traveled in the afterlife, as he was always in the Candlemaker's domain. "This is stupid..." Sage huffed to himself, holding a small blanket over himself to protect himself from the rain. It honestly still hurt but Sage was too aggravated to even care at this point. "... Huh?" From where he was walking, Sage noticed Grim emerge from Santiago's house. Sage was in the area anyway to look at Miguel's grave for some clues. "It's the kid..." He mused to himself. Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 8, 2015 Grim hurried home just as the rain began to fall. He did the usual routine. Took a bath, ate dinner, brushed his teeth, prayed before bed, and now it was time to sleep, despite him actually feeling absolutely restless, his mind swirling with ideas. "Keep the windows closed. Don't want your bed to become the new Noah's Ark and all." Megara joked as she tucked Grim into bed. He shuffled underneath the sheets. "...mom, was Miguel good?" Grim asked. The question took Megara by surprise, but she answered. "Yes, he was a good person." She assured. "Am I good?" Grim asked. "Yes, you are a good person too." She insisted. Grim looked up at the ceiling. "Do you think we will see Miguel again?" Grim asked. The tone of the question tugged Megara's heart. "Yes darling. We will see him again one day. When you die of old age once you've lived your life, you will pass away in your sleep and wake up to Miguel and everyone you love greeting you to heaven." Megara assured, sugarcoating it if necessary. Grim nodded softy. "Ok," He glanced up. "I love you, mom." "And I love you. We all do." Megara kissed his forehead. "Now sleep darling." With that, she retired from the room to her own bedroom to sleep. Grim remained unmoving for an entire hour, hearing the rain slowly fall from the outside. Eventually he forced himself out of bed, walking to the small desk in his room and sitting down. He picked up a pen and some paper, writing a letter to his parents. Once he was done with that, he oft it folded on the desk, before gently sneaking up to the living room where his father kept his medicines. He lifted a chair ever so gently and settled it down, careful of every move he made to not wake his parents. He climbed on it and from the tallest shelf, reached for a familiar yellow liquid inside a bottle. He stepped down, not minding to return the chair as he hurried back to his room and opened the window, his route out. He looked back at the doorway and smiled. "Don't worry. I'll bring Miguel back. I promise." He whispered. He jumped outside. Grim ran through the rain. He needed somewhere where he could be alone, and where he could die without any attempts at being brought back. He knew that with his parents, he only had one shot at this. Yet he knew the perfect place. He hurried to the church, sneaking inside one of the jammed windows before closing it gently. The place had candles here and there, illuminating the giant cross behind the alter brightly. Grim walked up to the alter, kneeling down and giving a small prayer. "Dear god, I know you do things for the good of people. But I don't think I can allow you to take my brother away. Whether he be in heaven, hell, or in the land of the dead, I have decided to follow him and bring him back. I'm going to fix the family you broke." Grim prayed out loud. "Please watch over my parents, and all of the nice people of this town until we come back. I might take a while, but I'll fix it. Amen." From his pocket he took out the glass bottle, opening it as he remembered his father's words. He knew there was no turning back...yet he was desperate enough to try. "Wait for me, Miguel." And like that, he drank it all.
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 9, 2015 Sage decided to follow Grim to see what he was up to. He couldn't help but put his guard up after seeing the look on Grim's face. Things were kinda normal, Grim being put to bed and whatnot but... Grim left the house. Sage narrowed his eyes and went to follow Grim all the way to the church. He watched intently, and Sage's eyes widened upon seeing Grim drink a liquid he hoped it wasn't what he thought it was. "Shit!!!" Sage exclaimed. He didn't even run, he straight up teleported right in Death's room. He ripped the covers right off of Death and Megara, not even caring if Megara couldn't see him. "GRIM!!!" Sage yelled, grabbing Death's arm to shake him the hell awake. "WAKE THE firetruck UP!!!"
Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 9, 2015 The storm worsened, rain hailing down with all its might, the wind slamming against the houses. Death awoke with a start, his eyes widening in panic as he felt someone shake his body. He instantly threw a punch, and the hit landed on a panicked Sage. It took a few solid seconds for Death to even realize that it was him. "What the actual hell man?" Death hissed, pushing him off. "We're trying to sleep-!" Death then paused at the mention of a name. Grim. "Darling what's the ma...why are the sheets on the floor?" Megara asked confused. Death couldn't take his eyes away from Sage. "Meg, go check on Grim please?" Death asked. The uneasiness in Death's voice promoted for Megara to go ahead and check without question. She hurried to the room, and when she looked, everything seemed normal...except Grim was nowhere to be seen. "Grim?" Megara asked, looking around and beneath the bed. "Grim? If you're hiding come out." Megara insisted. Death walked out of the room, holding a candle as he walked with Sage. Instantly he chair that wasn't there before, standing in front of the medicine shelf. "What the..." Death walked closer, looking around. Did Grim look for Medicine? Megara was about to look somewhere else when she saw the letter. She read it, and her body became filled with dread, her figure shaking. "No...Dios mio NO!!!" She gasped. Before Death could do see what was wrong Megara hurried to his side, showing him the letter. Death became pale as his eyes then darted to the top shelf...finally seeing what was missing. "No!" His eyes darted to Sage. "My son-!" "Dear mom and dad. I love you all very much. But I don't think it's fair that God took Miguel away from us. I miss him a lot." Grim curled on the floor by the steps, hunching as an unimaginable pain wrecked across his body. His veins began to burn, his throat became dry as blood began to drip from his nose. The powerful venom burnt through everything it touched as it flowed down his body. Ever so gently his grip on the bottle lessened, the bottle rolling out of his grip onto the floor. "There is a story that says of a man who died to bring his lover and himself back to life from the dead. I have decided to do the same journey and bring Miguel back to us, from heaven, hell, or the land of the dead. That way we can be a happy family again." The two ran as fast as they could to the church. Upon finding the doors closed, Death didn't hesitate to slam his body against them, opening the doors to rush to Grim's side. "Don't worry. We will meet again, and no matter where I end up, I will come back to life along with Miguel, and tell you my story, just like the man in the story." Grim couldn't hear anything nor see anything, feeling cold, and as Megara and Death screamed, cried for him, his life slipped away, becoming limp as he died in their arms. The last he saw was the cold darkness surround him. "Until we come back and meet again. - Grim." There was no time, no mercy. Only pain, as for once in a long time Death screamed in agony, his voice roaring through the storm. Grim was gone.
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 10, 2015 (The firetrucking feels man why did you do this to me Sage watched the scene. From outside the church. He didn't even need to be inside, or in a five now radius for that matter to experience the powerful emotions from the family who just lost their second child. Honestly he was afraid to even show his face, and was ashamed to. Slowly, Sage looked away and turned around to disappear into the night. "..." He did not want to even see Ani at all, lest he hear more complaints from him. The Land of the Dead... A wondrous land full of many festive colors everywhere for the deceased danced and celebrated together for all eternity. On the outskirts of town, a young boy who was perhaps Miguel's and Grim's age at least by appearance was wandering about. Something strange was about him, for he had a regular appearance of a regular boy- brown hair, black eyes and most of all; skin. He was wandering about away from the loud festive music and cheer. Upon entering the outskirts, he found himself to be at the edge of a neighboring forest. On the base of a tree he found Grim asleep. "Hi!" Came the boy, shaking Grim. "It's no fun sleeping here!" Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 10, 2015 As Grim slowly regained consciousness, he felt his senses return to him. First sound as he listened the voice of the child and the sound of music in the distance. Then the sense of smell, the faint scent of sweets and food mixed with flowers. His touch felt the cold of the floor, and as he opened his eyes to look at his hands, seeing them on a rather paler color than usual. "(What...am I dreaming? No. I can't be. I drank all the venom and...)" Grim thought as he shook his head. He finally glanced up at the boy, who seemed absolutely normal by all accounts yet to Grim it just felt odd. "Um, hi?" Grim asked, gently standing up as he felt normal...yet he knew he wasn't in a normal state. "Hey...where...where exactly am I? This isn't the church." Grim asked, wondering if he had ended up surviving his attempt at suicide. When he moved his hands up however, he noticed the one thing that assured him he had succeeded...he had no heart beat. "Am I dead? Am I really dead?"
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 12, 2015 The boy tiled his head, and sat down cross legged in front of Grim. "Hi!" The boy said with a cheery smile. He looked completely human. "My name is Javier! But call me Javi! I hate it when people call me Javier... And... Yup! You're a skeleton now! Dead! But that's okay. We have a lot of fun here! You're in the Land of the Dead!" He took Grim's hand, and stood up with him excitedly. A boy his age! Maybe they could play games together, like tag or hide-and-seek. "I could show you around if you wanna~ we could grab some churros and play ankle ball! No one ever wants to play with me... Especially since everyone's ankles always fall off when they play but that's not my fault!" He looked towards where all the lights and balloons were coming from, and pointed in the direction. "They're having a party over there! There's a party every day!"
Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 13, 2015 Grim glanced over from where they stood. He had heard stories of how cheerful and happy the Land of the Dead actually was, and yet seeing it in the flesh-…well in the bone, still surprised him. Even from where he stood he could see the cheerful colors and hear its lively music…it was a relief, of sorts. He thought that the land of the dead would have been more…morbid. Scary. The sorts. He didn’t even know what kind of troubles he had left behind. The pain. He chuckled at Javier. “I would love it if you showed me around! Oh, actually! While we’re at it I wanted to ask you, have you heard of someone named Miguel, or Jorge?” Grim said as he paused. “Miguel has short hair around here, and a scar behind his neck. Jorge is kind of old but always carries a cane and walks funny. Miguel is my brother, and Jorge is his dad, though not my dad.”
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 14, 2015 Javier smiled as he enjoyed the faint music that was coming from where the party was. It appeared that he was having an absolute ball even though he was all by himself- until now that is. Javier listened to Grim's words and shook his head as he mentioned those names. "I never seen a boy who looks like that... Or heard anyone with that name! I haven't heard anyone with the name Jorge but I have seen a guy who walks funny! He has a cane but he doesn't use it. You don't need canes or anything like that here!" Javier said with a cheerful smile, taking Grim's hand. "Follow me! I'll bring you to him. But if he's not who you're looking for we can always go to mi madre~! She's in charge around here!"
Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 15, 2015 Grim couldn't help but to feel odd at the thought of Forge without a cane. He always saw him with the cane. To see him without it would be most strange! "Yes please, show me around!" Grim chuckled, hurrying along with Javier. The place was even livelier than some moments on the living world! So colorful and festive! And people couldn't feel any pain that they felt in their lives before dying...it was almost magical! He didn't know why people were so afraid of dying! This place was amazing! "(...mom, dad...)" Grim thought. Of course...dying would mean to be away from them. He wondered what they were doing now. If they were angry at him. But hey, once he got Miguel back they would be happy too! "Who is your mom? Is she like a mayor?"
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 15, 2015 Javier smiled brightly. He began to drag Grim away by his hand. "Come on~!" The party was beautiful. It was a huge vibrant city decorated with decorations and lights of all the colors of the rainbow. Balloons filled the starry sky and could be seen from miles away. Not one corner was dark, for all the colorful vibrant lights lit up the entire city. There was nothing but people in the sidewalk celebrating and dancing and overall having a good time. The streets were filled with floats in vibrant parades. Each float told its own story. Everyone was happy. Everyone was together with their ancestors. There was no pain whatsoever. Despite appearing completely human, the people in the crowd didn't seem to care or look at the boy strangely. Javier led Grim down a small little street right in front of a few of the floats. On the steps of one of the homes, sat down Jorge. He looked the same... But a skeleton version. As soon as Jorge saw Grim, he stood up. He looked visibly surprised, but there was a mixture of joy and sadness all over his face. "G-Guadaña..." Jorge exclaimed, holding his famous cane tightly. He didn't need the cane, but he still liked having it with him. Even though his leg wasn't in pain, he still had some trouble walking. He could get it fixed, but didn't want to. "Why..." Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 15, 2015 Never had Grim seen so many beautiful colors and festivities all at once, as big as this one. If this was what awaited those who passed, he should definitely tell them all to never be afraid, because everything was absolutely wonderful down here! Of course, he was young and foolish. He had yet to realize how much suffering he had made those above by forcing himself below. Once he was presented to Jorge, Grim gasped in excitement. He seemed rather surprised, and who wouldn't? Grim was still far too young to be down here, especially through the method he used. "Jorge!" Grim squealed, running towards him and hugging him tightly. "Jorge we've missed you so much! Especially Miguel and mami and papi and-" Grim began, pausing to look around and behind Jorge. "Is Miguel here? I need to see him! We have to go back to mami and papi before they get worried!" Grim said rather cheerfully, kind of oblivious of how much severe the situation actually was.
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 16, 2015 Jorge looked down at Grim with the biggest look of bewilderment anyone could ever make. Never has Jorge been so surprised and upset to see someone in his life. "Dios mio!" Jorge yelled as be grabbed Grim by the shoulders. He stared right into Grim's eyes with anger and sadness all over his face. "Why are you here???!!! You shouldn't be here!!!" There was even more sadness in Jorge's eyes as he looked on in horror when Grim asked about Miguel. "Miguel?! Miguelito?! He's here?! Why is he here?!" He screeched, shaking Grim by the shoulders. Everyone around stopped cheering and looked to them. There were tears going down Jorge's eyes. Some people forgot one could even cry. Javier meanwhile didn't expect such a reaction. He didn't even know it was possible to cry or get angry down here. He just looked elsewhere and began to whistle. "..."
Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 16, 2015 Grim stared surprised at Jorge's reaction. The whole place was so cheerful and colorful for a whole moment Grim had forgotten of the fact of what this place was. The land of the dead. Everyone who resided here was DEAD. Gone. Their souls separated from the body. So on and so on. Grim pursed his lips, and as he remembered his mission, he seemed to calm down. "W-Well...Miguel got bitten by a snake...papi y abuelo tried everything and they couldn't...they couldn't wake him up..." Grim explained, feeling a familiar pain within his body, the same yet not as excruciating from that day. "We buried him next to you..." He said, suddenly his expression turning more serious. "But, Santiago told me of a legend that I've heard before! That one man came here to look for his lover and bring the two of them back to life. So...I killed myself." Grim explained, his expression nor tone wavering as he confessed to his actions. "That way I can get Miguel and we can go back home."
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 17, 2015 As Jorge listened to Grim's story, his heart only began to crack more and more until it just completely shattered. His son was dead. Although he told himself to be happy when he could welcome Miguel, the idea of his son dying still devastated him. Not only that, Miguel died young. Grim followed him. "Q-QUE?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!" He asked, now shouting. He shook Grim more. "He can't be dead!!! If he was he'd be with me! How could you kill yourself, Guadaña?! Do you realize what you have done?!" Suddenly Jorge realized what he was doing, and pulled away. He didn't know how else to react. "... Dios mio... Muerte... Megara..." He felt weak, almost. This entire even felt as though it completely drained him of all every. He had to sit down on the steps to rest. "Guadaña... Why....
Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 17, 2015 Grim didn't understand why it was just a big deal. Yes, death was terrible. But he had left a note and everything to his parents explaining everything. "...Because I wanted to find Miguel." Grim said rather simply, still confused. "Mom and dad both were sad. I was sad too. I didn't think that it was fair that god had taken away Miguel from us. So I promised them that I would go look for him and bring him back home." Grim insisted, moving his arms around his neck and holding the shared necklace that his grandfather had given him, which was identical to the one he had given to Miguel. "I'm going to find him and go back home, whether god wants it or not." Grim said determined. However he seemed frustrated that Jorge didn't seem to understand his reason, or that Miguel was around. "Wait. If Miguel isn't here, then where else would he be?" Grim asked confused. He honestly thought that if he had arrived here, the first place he would have gone was here to see his father. He shook his head. "Well...I hope you don't remain mad for too long. Because once we get out of here we won't be coming back for a long time." Meanwhile on the surface, most of the town awoke to the screams of agony, and for the rest of the day it was utter sadness and chaos, quite the mess. Whispers and murmurs went rampant of how 'The Witch' had taken over Grim's body and killed him in revenge for her own son dying. But most simply gave their heartfelt condolences. Santiago was in a state of shock and refused to leave the room. Undertaker was heartbroken. No one knew how to even approach the broken couple who had in a matter of a month, lost both of their children. Hell, no one even wanted to get near Death. The usually pacifist, gentle doctor had gone on a personal rampage to let out his anger. He went as far away as he could from the rest to just scream his heart out, punch and break whatever he could find until his knuckles bled. He was...simply emotionally broken. Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 17, 2015 Jorge didn't know what to say, or how to react. He couldn't even believe nor imagine the idea that Miguel would be dead and Grim killed himself to find him. He just found out that his son was dead, and a son he never had killed himself because of it. "Dios mio... Dios mio..." Jorge said over and over again. He clutched his cane tightly. "Do you not realize what pain you put your madre and padre through?! Don't you think that they will be even more sad to know that you are gone?!" Jorge took a deep breath, and tried to calm himself down. Grim was a child- he wouldn't understand. Yelling at him wouldn't make things any easier. Instead, Jorge closed his eyes and looked down into the ground. "...I don't know. If he was here I would know. Coño... We have to ask La Muerte." Javier was silent most of the time, trying to hide from the scary old skeleton man that was yelling. When Jorge mentioned La Muerte however, he ran up to him and jumped excitedly. "Ahh! Mama! I can talk you two to see Mama! She's so nice and pretty and she can help you find Miguel!" Jorge looked to Javier, and then to Grim. Jorge was more shocked at the fact that Javier looked like a regular human boy. "Who is this?"
Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 17, 2015 Grim pursed his lips. His parents shouldn't be so sad. He promised he would come back, and Grim never broke a promise! He knew that once he did come back he might get a spanking though. But he would be back with Miguel so there was no worries about it later! "La Muerte?" Grim asked. He didn't knew that death itself had a shape. As Javier piped up about bringing them to such person, to 'mama', Grim became even happier and more inspired. "This is Javi! He found me when I woke up here and helped me find you!" Grim explained happily. It didn't prick at Grim that Javier was different, looking human compared to everyone else who were skeletons. It just didn't seem out of place in a world where the dead were dancing and partying. "Javi, if you could take us to this person I would totally owe you a favor! Maybe she will know where Miguel is! Could you take us to her?" Grim asked. He was ever so excited, and desperate to see Miguel again. They had to return home.
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 19, 2015 Javi nodded excitedly. He was very eager to take Grim and Jorge to see his mama. It was like a little adventure! And Javier loved adventures even though they were all by himself. This adventure he could certainly get a kick out of. "Let's go then! You got to see mama! She's very nice and pretty!" With that, he took Grim's hand and began to tug at him. Jorge leaned on his cane. He really didn't know about this Javier boy. No one in this land appeared as human. Not even La Muerte herself. And this boy was the son of La Muerte? She had children? Was it even possible? Either way, there was something terribly wrong. And Jorge had to find out. Was Miguel really dead? The idea of it along confused him. He couldn't imagine it. "Coño..." Jorge cursed under his breath, walking forward with his usual limp to follow Javier. Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 20, 2015 Grim happily let himself be guided by Javier, making sure to look back and around to make sure that Jorge was keeping up. As they ran across the crowds, Grim awed at the grand parade that was being displayed across the streets. Large floats of different families, decorated with all kinds of colors and flowers. Grim twirled as he glanced at the wonders with complete awe. He wondered if Miguel hadn’t met up with Jorge yet just because he was having so much fun down here with everything else. He was sure that they would meet up soon, however, they shared the necklaces that their grandfather gave them. He walked along with Javier, somewhat slowing down to glance at the floats for a few seconds longer. They walked across a floating bridge to a large building, which was even more beautiful than the world all together. It had tall ceilings and flower petals fall ever so gently all around. “Javi, who is La Muerte?”
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 21, 2015 Javier quickly and fluidly flew through the crowds. One could tell he easily knew his way around the land. He was rather excited, and sometimes forgot that Jorge was following as well. After what seemed like a half an hour of traveling, Javier arrived at a tall beautiful cathedral like home after crossing the bridge. "La Muerte is mi madre!" He said with a smile after looking back at Grim once they were at the entrance. "She's really pretty and nice. She helps everyone!" Jorge huffed as he somehow managed to keep up with the kids. If he was living and could feel pain, he would definitely be far, far behind. But luckily all he had to worry about was just keeping up. He waddled off of the bridge and leaned on his cane for support once they got to he entrance. "La Muerte is the queen of this land." Jorge said. "She is our protector."
