IwasBornAsVentus 396 Posted July 1, 2015 (edited) As the title says what's your least favourite Pixar film? My least favourite from Pixar is Brave the first movie from Pixar that I actually had to turn off cause it was so bad for my taste, and now here is why. When the first trailer for this movie was released back in 2011 it made the movie look like it was going to be an epic story of a strong female lead that would protect her kingdom and fight an evil bear. As we got closer to release in 2012 the movie was still marketed in this way with Merida being an independent female lead who seemed to care for her people and fight yet again evil. When the movie was finally released I was incredibly dissapointed in Pixar and thought "Oh man Pixar how can you go this low don't ever again try to make a fairy tale again, that's not your strength it's Disney's". I was so dissapointed in what Pixar had made with this movie. Why the hell is this movie called Brave there is absolutely nothing that Merida does that is brave in this movie this movie should have either stayed to the original title The Bear & The Bow or The Entitled Brat cause that's what Merida really is, nowhere near brave. This movie was falsely marketed tricking people to believe that this movie would be something epic and inspiring but what we received was a story of a rebellious, spoiled brat that poisoned her mother into a bear, the most immature protagonist that Pixar has ever come out with. This movie is nowhere original it rehashes plots from other DIsney movies like Pocahontas, Aladdin, Brother Bear, Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast do I really haft to continue. The humor in this movie is hideous incredibly childish like it's made for day care children I did not laugh a single time in this movie. Men in this movie are treated as big, stupid, ignorant, violent, killing machines while women are treated as strong, bossy, independent and bratty the last one goes for Merida. To be fair this movie looks down at men way to much, a freaking feminist movie. The characters in this movie are horrible we have a scottish teenage brat, an overly bossy mother, a stupid, unintelligent, violent father, stupid immature clans, three annoying ginger babies, a underdeveloped witch and her forced crow, a horse, a maid that thinks she's so funny and a bear that have way to little screen time. I seriously cannot believe that people look up to Merida as a role model heck even how she got into the DP franchise. So your telling me you would want your kids to grow up into poisoning your parent just so they can get away with their responsibility of actually growing up. as this confession says Merida did not learn her lesson at the end of the movie and did not change the only one that changed in this movie was her mother she became less bossy and more understanding but did Merida change no she remained the same. And one more thing about Merida she's nowhere strong willed, brave and heroic most of the movie she cried her way through her own caused problems instead of actually stopping them. Not so brave as you thought huh!. And then of course there is the fandom of having Merida and Hiccup as a couple. God dammit Mericcup leave Hiccup alone! Hiccup who actually was a well developed character already had a love interest so why the hell would you mix him with Merida, besides they are way to different to be a couple end of the story. But there is one thing that I can defend Brave for and that is it's animation, the animation in Brave is beautiful really realistic and one of Pixar's best but that sadly won't save this movie from what it really is. And as for KH3 my doors are not open for a Brave world in the game why not actually go with Robin Hood and Brother Bear instead those movies had a good story and characters. But if it happens then it happens no big deal. At least Kenai developed as a character who did change unlike Merida the brat. MyDixieRect 2,061 Posted July 1, 2015 Cars 2. Or any of the Cars films, really? The list of what's wrong with it is too long for me to type out so you'll just have to accept this as an answer. (I actually really liked Brave though) 2 Jilly Shears and Firaga reacted to this
WakelessDream 2,278 Posted July 1, 2015 I've gotta go with Cars, all the Cars films. I've tried to sit through them, but just couldn't bring myself to be interested in them. Brave probably ranks closer to the bottom of my list as well, but I still liked it significantly more than the Cars films. 2 Oli and Firaga reacted to this
Guest Posted July 1, 2015 The Nostalgia Critics explains my distaste for the Cars series perfectly.
AngelTheWeirdStranger 504 Posted July 1, 2015 Bug's life and cars. I found them both boring. I saw Bug's life a long time ago and I remember that I didn't like it. Cars was the same but I can vividly remember that it was unbearable.
Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted July 1, 2015 Sooooooo, I know that there's all this hate on the Cars movies, especially Cars 2, but to be honest, I personally enjoyed both these movies and I don't see why people hate them. I keep hearing, "It's/was a stupid idea," but I never hear why or how it is/was a stupid idea. Just to say, I respect your thought on the movies, my liking towards them is just and opinion but can someone explain to me why these two movies are so hated? Setrex 1,031 Posted July 1, 2015 There are no Pixar film I don't like. Each one has some redeeming qualities. Cars 2 for example, has absolutely superb animation. Sure it sucks from a story point of view and I absolutely detest Mater, but it's a kids film pretty much made to sell toys. While I don't like that Pixar went down that route, you can see that the decision was from Disney and not them. We could do without a Cars 3 though.... Any ways, while I can compliment Cars 2 for its absolutely great animation and mindless racing fun, it is still my least favourite Pixar film. However, I am not looking forward to Finding Dory because I hate both Dory and Ellen DeGeneres so it remains to be seen if Cars 2 will indeed be my least favourite film come the end of next year. JTD95 1,107 Posted July 1, 2015 The first Cars movie was decent, but also kind of poor. Why a second one exists, and soon a third one, I have no idea. Cars is the worst to ever come out of Pixar.
Imoore4 687 Posted July 1, 2015 I can't lie I loved the first Cars movie, I really did! However, the sequel was pretty boring. 1 Firaga reacted to this
Firaga 5,947 Posted July 1, 2015 I would say Cars, but there is something even worse than Cars... Planes... I haven't even seen the movie, but I already know it's just a big toy commercial without much substance otherwise. 1 MickeyTheMick reacted to this
HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted July 1, 2015 (edited) The Incredibles, for admittedly petty personal reasons. I would say Cars, but there is something even worse than Cars... Planes... I haven't even seen the movie, but I already know it's just a big toy commercial without much substance otherwise. Wasn't Planes made by a different company though? I could've sworn I read somewhere that Pixar wasn't involved with it, but I can't seem to remember where... Also, pretty sure Planes was supposed to be direct-to-video until Disney decided to put it in theaters for all that $$$. Yeah, according to Wikipedia, it was made by DisneyToon Studios, not Pixar. So at least Pixar didn't sink that low. Edited July 1, 2015 by HeyMouseSayCheese
Tinkerbells 6 Posted July 1, 2015 I have to say my least favorite Pixar Movie is Monsters Inc. I just don't have a connection with this movie...
Philip Ellwell 5,487 Posted July 1, 2015 Toy Story 3. I just couldn't get into it. I've lost interest in the story since toy Stroy 2, but the short films and rumoured fourth film make it worse.

DragonMaster 1,166 Posted July 2, 2015 Cars I'm pretty okay with, I can sit through it and not hate it. Cars 2 and Brave, though, I cannot stand. I really can't even chose which one is worse, to be honest. I suppose Cars 2, just because at least Brave has a more interesting premise (i.e., its not a world of talking cars). Brave was just... uggh. I hated Merida, both for personality and design. And since she was the main character, the rest of the movie just fell flat for me. Cars 2, on the other hand, was simply stupid. I also didn't like Wall-E, but my tastes have changed since then, so if I were to watch it again I might have a different opinion. It still wasn't as bad as Cars 2 and Brave, though.

Then you're being unreasonable. That's like blaming Kingdom Hearts because Kingdom Hearts V-cast sucked.
J. Severe 1,137 Posted July 2, 2015 there's no answer other than Cars 2 tbh. I thought the first Cars was a pretty good flick with some heartfelt moments but the sequel just tosses that out and focuses on an out-of-nowhere spy plot that has nothing to do with its predecessor
Guest Posted July 4, 2015 Then you're being unreasonable. That's like blaming Kingdom Hearts because Kingdom Hearts V-cast sucked. Dude, don't ever talk bad about the majestic relic that is Kingdom Hearts V-Cast ever again. Rattatouie was also a Pixar movie that I really was not all that fond of. Granted, the depiction of Paris was beautiful, the ending is amazing and there's a lot of creative concepts happening, however, I just think that it's just not as enjoyable as the majority of other Pixar movies.
