Sora96 17,256 Posted June 27, 2015 Let's take a look at some of the new heartless seen in the E3 2015 Kingdom Hearts III trailer! The first batch of new heartless seen in the trailer are heartless that pop out of a river. They seem to have a shield of water around them when they first appear, and as you attack them, the shield goes away. It is also interesting to note that Sora uses what looks like Fire magic to attack these heartless, so there may be a bit of elemental strategy involved with these heartless in particular. Additionally, much like the elemental heartless from KH1, it does not appear that these heartless are specific to any world. They could very well spawn near any body of water, and not just this river in the Olympus world. The next wave of new heartless is a bit different in that it does seem like a heartless specific to the Olympus world. You'll notice that these heartless are wearing what look like Spartan helmets. Seeing as Hercules is set in Greece, this makes total sense. It looks as though these heartless may be specific to the Olympus world. Other than this, they have wings to help them fly, and they attack much like the Air Soldiers in KH1. The next new heartless in the trailer resemble Minotaurs, which are prominent in Greek mythology. They have humanoid features on their upper halves, but their feet have hooves, and when they gather together for a group attack, they lower their heads to reveal their helmets which don bull faces/horns. The new Tangled world also introduces a new brand of heartless. They represent dandelion plants. These heartless actually have two forms: A dandelion puff, and a more basic flower-like form. There was a segment in the trailer that showed the puff form releasing the puffs from itself to sprout new heartless. It is unclear whether or not this heartless is specific to the Tangled world, but it very well may be. One heartless in particular has has taken our notice. In Twilight Town, a Heartless has a bow & arrow, a quiver on its back and a red squiggly hat that resembles Merida's thick ginger hair from the 2012 Disney film, Brave. We have some screenshots of this you can check out below thanks to TheGamersJoint, and to KH13 member SoraFanatic for the tip. Could a Brave world be next revealed for Kingdom Hearts III? Nick Sideris 1,551 Posted June 27, 2015 (edited) The last heartless is certainly interesting . But it might as well be just a Twilight Town heartless . Edited June 27, 2015 by Nick Sideris
MysticVriska 70 Posted June 27, 2015 I'd love to see Brave, it'd fit perfectly along with Tangled and Frozen too. 1 Kittenz reacted to this

TheKingdomkid 1,194 Posted June 27, 2015 Those first Heartless I have a feeling are a new kind of a pureblood unless the emblem is on the bottom of it's body since we couldn't really get a good look at it, it dose kind of remind me of the Darkball heartless so that could be it. The theory about the last one being probably a heartless from a brave world is nice but didn't they show like early sketches of a Heartless that uses a bow at the 2.5 launch event in December? If that's not it I know there was some talk about a heartless that uses a bow at some point so this is probably the maybe final design
Klonoa the Dream Traveler 678 Posted June 27, 2015 Although a Brave world sounds great, I rather want the heartless to be a Twilight Town heartless.
Guest Posted June 27, 2015 Actually, I'm placing my money on those quiver heartless hinting at a Robin Hood world rather than the Brave world. Robin Hood would make more sense for Square Enix as it is easier to license and the fact that they look like Jesters. Jesters are associated with the Bourgeouise (Prince John). And the over-sized hat the Heartless wears could be a nod to the rabbit that wears Robin Hood's hat for most of the film. For the record though, I would also love a Brave world, though I fear it might look too similar to Tangled's world. 1 Kittenz reacted to this

I agree with you with not wanting Wonderland (yes, not even Tim Burton's wonderland). However, The Little Mermaid has a sequel. They could easily incorporate that and turn that into a new world. They milked Hercules to death, I just hope we do not get any atrocious Broadway Musical worlds. I wonder what exclusive heartless from Kingdom Hearts Chi will be appearing in the third instalment? I'm guessing the Snow fat bodies being present in the Frozen world. Agreed! And the over-sized hat the Heartless wears could be a nod to the rabbit that wears Robin Hood's hat for most of the film. For the record though, I would also love a Brave world, though I fear it might look too similar to Tangled's world. Thank you so much for agreeing with me. I agree with you too: Tangled drastically lowered the possibility for Brave being in the game as their only difference is shading. They're both forest worlds in Europe. Though to make up for it, a Merida summon would be fantastic! Edited June 27, 2015 by Guest
Qrow 86 Posted June 27, 2015 I've read somewhere, I think it was on KHMemes facebook, they pointed out that the third "heartless"(the spartan one) doesn't seem to be a heartless. Instead of the yellow eye that all heartless have, this one has an red x in its eye. Don't know if it's a hellmet or what, but that made me think about the possibility of unversed... It was confirmed to be a heartless. Derrick (the analyser from Gamexplain) stated that he was focusing on the heartless that wasn't showing his Emblem. They definitely are Emblem heartless and part of the Olympus Coliseum world.

Brave and Tangled don't look too similar, Tangled has that colorful happy go lucky environment and they travel to different places just to see the lanterns light up in the sky. Brave has that dark mystic environment because Mor'du wonders deep in the forest and you don't know where he will appear, and they film mostly take place in the forest Thank you so much for agreeing with me. I agree with you too: Tangled drastically lowered the possibility for Brave being in the game as their only difference is shading. They're both forest worlds in Europe. Though to make up for it, a Merida summon would be fantastic! Tangled is not a forest world remember because there's one forest, Rapunzel's Tower, one little canyon, a town within the kingdom. Tangled's world would be similar to the Land of Dragons because we get to travel to place and to another, because in Tangled the majority of the film doesn't take place in the forest, they travel to different places. Brave is definitely a forest world because the majority of the film takes place in the forest in Scottish Highlands. While there's Merida's kingdom, the Witch's workshop, and the ruins but the film mostly take place in the forest. GroovingOnUp 163 Posted June 27, 2015 It could easily be a new heartless that appears in multiple worlds like the shadows,soldiers/Large bodies. Or a Robin hood world like said above,Brave is honestly the last world i see associated with that heartless before Robin Hood.

Sure, one is more populated with Greenland than the other but they're practically to similar for both of them to appear in the game. Of course, you can argue that Robin Hood is too similar to Tangled in terms of environment, however, what sets Robin Hood apart is the anthropomorphic animals inhabiting the world. I'm all for Brave, however, I personally believe that Robin Hood is far more plausible.
