Dio Brando 5,810 Posted June 24, 2015 Yes. But only in Japan...which is so stupid considering most of their fans when it comes to their old titles on SNES and Ps1 were mostly in the west so why in the blue hell we haven't seen anything from them neither on the 3DS nor Wii U NAEU virtual console? I'd really love to have Secret of Mana on my Wii U that's for sure. Dunno why they don't bother to bring them over to the Wii U VC (especially if they were on the Wii's VC), it seems like a sure way to make a quick buck. Square has this backward logic that I'll never understand All FF games from 1 to 6 are on the Wii U virtual console almost two years ago in Japan so really how hard is it? I'd buy Final Fantasy VI again if it left Japan's VC. Live A Live hasn't been localised so I'd understand if it never left Japan, but their other games should have no excuses. 1 Dio Brando reacted to this

Sora96 17,256 Posted June 25, 2015 Same here especially FFVI and Chrono Trigger Chrono Trigger isn't available on Japan's Wii U VC either. Dio Brando 5,810 Posted June 25, 2015 Chrono Trigger isn't available on Japan's Wii U VC either. Just use Wii Mode. Cuz Wii points are still totally sold nowadays in absolutely nowhere so how the **** can I download them? And even then it's not an excuse for Square not to release them outside of Japan....how hard is it when they already released the damn games on the Japanese VC? Setrex 1,031 Posted June 25, 2015 Just use Wii Mode. You can't expect people to "just use Wii Mode", some people might not have had the games on the Wii to transfer them over in the first place. There are a number of games, not just from Square Enix, that were on the Wii VC and simply aren't available on the Wii U's VC, for no other reason than "just because". The blame can also be associated with Nintendo. Cuz Wii points are still totally sold nowadays in absolutely nowhere so how the **** can I download them? I'm not sure if this is the case outside of the PAL regions, but if you buy a €15 card for the eShop it can be used on the Wii/DSi Shop for an equivalent of 1500 points. Or at least I'm sure that's what the card said when I was given one the other day... o.O 1 Dio Brando reacted to this

They could easily add SNES VC support to 3DS but they don't.
Setrex 1,031 Posted June 25, 2015 Well that's exactly it, Nintendo doesn't really care themselves. They could easily add SNES VC support to 3DS but they don't. The VC has always been lacklustre on the 3DS any ways. There's nothing stopping them from saying, "SNES games are coming to..... the NEW 3DS!!!" They won't, but it'd give people a reason to enjoy the better hardware.... by playing 25 year old games. I'd rather cross-buy on the VC first to be honest. The issue is the Wii U's VC, it has some solid titles across 6 different past platforms. They just suck at taking notes on what people want outside of Earthbound.
