Jim 2,990 Posted June 23, 2015 (hey everybody, I'm trying to be more active here now. How y'all doing) What if in KH3, the climactic 7 vs 13 battle takes place around the midpoint of the story. Xehanort wins, obtains the X-Blade, enters Kingdom Hearts, and this causes all of the worlds to get plunged into the Realm of Darkness. So this would mean that while the first half of the game would be gathering the 7 lights or the "key to return hearts" or whatever, the second half would involve going back to each world to return it to the realm of light. I think this would be really neat, because the worlds would be all dark, gloomy, and creepy, kinda how Aqua saw Cinderella's castle in the BBSFM secret ending. They'd have the same layout as they had in the first half of the game, so it wouldn't involve stupid amounts of extra treasure hunting or stuff like that. Freeing these worlds and defeating some of the remaining thirteen darknesses would weaken Xehanort's connection with Kingdom Hearts (Don't ask me why that would be the case, it's just my attempt at Nomuralogic). Now before they confront Xehanort in the big finale, they'd actually need to separate him from Kingdom Hearts. Sora would enter Kingdom Hearts, and it would be a Majora's Mask type scenario where the inside of the moon is pure paradise. Picture grassy fields, bright sunny sky, a bunch of kids (symbolizing not-yet-born hearts) running around, and maybe some library-like areas to show how Kingdom Hearts is the heart of all knowledge, as Xehanort always explained. Once entered, Sora would return to the appearance of his younger KH1 self, and he would find Xehanort, whose appearance and voice is that of Young Xehanort, simply sitting and possibly reading or observing the area peacefully. While inside Kingdom Hearts, Xehanort isn't hostile, but instead laments his actions now that he has access to all knowledge and understanding of good, evil, light, dark, right, wrong, etc. He and Sora have a heart-to-heart talk, where Sora tells him that they have to leave because Xehanort's presence in Kingdom Hearts still endangers the outside world. Xehanort agrees, but warns Sora that he will not be able to hold on to this understanding of right and wrong once they are back in the real world, which paints a bit of a sympathetic image of Xehanort, as he knows that they will have to end his journey with bloodshed but does not want it to deep down. So basically they leave, return to their normal ages, and Xehanort returns to his usual evil self, and the final boss battles begin. This whole idea for the story has kinda been playing out in my head lately, so I figured I'd share it. I know it probably won't happen in the actual game, but I thought it was pretty neat what do you guys think of it? 18 Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀), khoathkeeper13, Yuya Sakaki and 15 others reacted to this

KeybladeLordCheeseCurd 1,542 Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) I kinda like the idea. Except for the Majora's Mask scenario, Sora going back to his KH1 self[We've seen him too much] and Xehanort turning good. Edit: Now that I think about it, why would the battle against the 7 and the 13 even take place in the middle of the story? It's supposed to be the final battle. But I appreciate the thought you put into this, even though it probably won't happen. Edited June 23, 2015 by KeybladeLordSora

Never back down, Never admit defeat. Uh... sorry I bored you? O_o well about Xehanort... I kinda like the idea. It's supposed to be the final battle. But I appreciate the thought you put into this, even though it probably won't happen. Sora would only be in his KH1 form for a scene that lasts about 5 - 10 minutes. It doesn't seem like it would be too much. And it wouldn't be Xehanort turning good. It would be showing that somewhere really deep down he always understood that what he was doing was wrong (you can even see a bit of this understanding and regret in some of his reports in Birth By Sleep) and coming into contact with real truth and wisdom made him realize that all the more. In my idea, he ditches this understanding as soon as he and Sora leave Kingdom Hearts anyway. and why the war middle of the story? Well, why not? The big climactic battle at Hollow Bastion in KH2 was in the middle of the story, and that all worked out well. And the rest of the game would be the result of this devastation. My point here is more to give the Disney Worlds purpose, since going there to try to fix destroyed worlds is more interesting than "well let's go help these people because why not" 1 luka reacted to this
Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) 3,859 Posted June 24, 2015 I like the idea of having the big fight lost and then just try to do something about it (whenever, it could be at the begining, at the end, or, mos likley, in the middle). However, as people have already stated, that part where Sora enters Kingdom Hearts isn't brilliant. Still, I think it's good, but, it could be better; if it came down to this, I would like that "good" Xehanort to be like the Light Emperor in FF2 Dawn of Souls (who sort of regrets his bad actions, but still has his evil and scheming personality) so you would need to fight him in some way. I read something long ago that said that the final battle could be something like a fight between Sora and Xehanort, but both with X-blades (one obtained from the clash between light and darkness and the other one as a gift from Kingdom Hearts, or something like that), which would be really cool. I still think that the final boss shouldn't be Master Xehanort (too old, and he has been proven to be relatively weak do to his age), in stead, it should be Terranort, Ansem, Xemnas or sort of a mixture between all 13 darknesses (or some of them). The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted June 24, 2015 You know something, Jim? This idea of yours really is a pretty insanely badass idea! I could definitely picture this in the game! And you know, you read my mind in terms of what Kingdom Hearts possibly looks like on the inside! I always imagined it to be a beautiful, heavenly place! (And well, KH Universe wise, if The Realm Of Darkness is hell, then I'm guessing that Kingdom Hearts must be heaven!) It'd be amazing if what you suggested happened! Guest Posted June 24, 2015 A lot of people want a love dynamic between sora and kairi, who wants that? Also, who wants multiple playable characters People who love romance like me. This is a Disney game. I am surprised at the lack of romance in this game. Multiple playable characters gives more development to the main side characters (Riku, Kairi, Lea) and Birth By Sleep characters. I for one love every aspect of the supposed Kingdom Hearts 3 climax. Hopefully, something like this will be implemented to Kingdom Hearts 3.
Vexen 73 Posted June 24, 2015 I would like to see some backstory on the rest of the Org. Members, and what their (and the rest of the former members) roles will be.
Guest Posted June 24, 2015 I would like to see some backstory on the rest of the Org. Members, and what their (and the rest of the former members) roles will be. That's pretty much a guarantee. I personally want to see an antagonist (possibly a seeker of darkness) go undercover as a hero for Sera, Donal and Gooby and nearer the climax of Kingdom Hearts 3: pull a really emotional betrayal *cough* Ephemeria *cough*. z_patrick_o 4 Posted July 1, 2015 I really want this game to be dark so a cool idea would be seeing all the Disney worlds in complete chaos and destruction while being plugned into the realm of darkness. I mean explosions and burning buildings. You could see NPCs running around and the sky a dark colour and lightning storms similar to what happened to destiny islands in KH1. I pictured the Disney Castle one of the most light filled places, under attack like the Audiene Chamber and even Mickey's office in destrction with books burning etc.. Each of the worlds would be evneloped in complete darkness.

Better yet, we have a section in the game in which we play as Aqua and we see fragments of Disney worlds trapped in darkness that couldn't make it as full worlds. glenn c001 6 Posted July 2, 2015 Dude that is really cool! I would be super happy if your idea for the story came true. Just as long as the game didn't feel rushed with the two different tones in the game. 1st half being one story and then the second half of the game being a whole different objective. I also feel like there is more to xehanort than just wanting to destroy everything. I feel like his keyblade might have possessed him and maybe it holds the 6th lost master that we don't know what happened to. Anyway really cool idea man.
