I dont have Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix but I know that there is a room in Radiant Garden called Cavearn of Rememberance

In Radiant Garden (not Hollow Bastion, you have to finish it), if you go the Castle Postern, there's a big hole in the wall. That's the Cavern of Remembrance. Once you make it all the way through, it will open up from the Restoration Site as well. That's the only new room I can think of.

heres what i remember from looking around the game facts since i dont actually have the game

 

there are Org. XIII mushrooms which give weapons for donald, goofy, and sora,

 

sora also gets the Two Become One Keyblade after defeating roxas,

 

donald can get a staff symbolizing lexaeus's axe sword and goofy can get a shield symbolizing vexen's shield

The Cavern of Rememberance is unlocked in Hollow Bastion after you meet Sephiroth at the Postern. (But you will be MURDERED if you set foot in there.)

 

You get the Two Become One after beating Roxas at Memory's Skyscraper, and Winner's Proof after completing the Mushroom XIII challenges. (Available after you beat Xemnas.)

 

You can create new Synthesis items with recipes you get fr defeating the Absent Silhouettes. (ie: Zexion leaves you the recipe for an accessory; Vexen leaves the recipe for Goofy's Frozen Pride)

 

 

New abilities like Magnet Splash and Round Break.
