Derek Abraham 21 Posted June 21, 2015 We have all been accustomed too a trio in every Kingdom Hearts game that features one female and two males. I do think this topic might have been discussed but what do you guys think about Kairi's grandma being Eraqus and Xehanorts missing link for their 'squad' Do you think we'll see more of her background in KH3? She seems to be their same age group and maybe even Yen Did could have been a mentor for them like Eraqus is for Ven, Aqua and Terra. Is this a possibility? 1 Pretium reacted to this
lostmemory123 1,056 Posted June 21, 2015 .......Nooooooo. The whole trio thing is more of a trope than an actual essential story point. SORA'S MOM will have a better chance of making a big appearance than her grandma being a keyblade weilder.
Movies798 1,358 Posted June 21, 2015 Well Kairi's Grandmother did know the story about how keyblade wielders fight over the light and how light was cover in darkness and how the new worlds was created from children's hearts. So it might be possible. 1 Pretium reacted to this
HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted June 21, 2015 At least then Kairi wouldn't be the only girl in her family that got left in the dust while her two boyfriends went off and did all the cool stuff. 7 Pretium, Elast0, hatok and 4 others reacted to this
Nick Sideris 1,551 Posted June 21, 2015 We could get some more insights on Kairi's grandma past . But I don't think she was a keyblade wielder and I certainly don't think she used to "roll" with Eraqus and Xehanort or have any relationship with them like the one Kairi has with Sora and Riku .She does know about the Keyblade War but that does not esssentially mean that she can wield a Keyblade or any sort of weapon . HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted June 21, 2015 Yeah of course I was just putting down a possibility that occurred to me down somewhere. KH is a series of curve balls so who knows Thing is, KH doesn't like to develop existing characters, it just stacks on more characters, even when there really should be a lot more character development (looking at you, Days). AngelTheWeirdStranger 504 Posted June 21, 2015 Now I really want a badass Kairi's grandma design for when she was young. She will have red hair, and an awesome outfit. I can't wait. 1 Derek Abraham reacted to this
Yuya Sakaki 5,212 Posted June 21, 2015 She seems to know about the Keyblade War as much as Xehanort and Eraqus... I wouldn't be surprised. Peace!
Javelin434 3,164 Posted June 21, 2015 I had always imagined that Kairi's grandmother was like a hidden veteran of the keyblade war and saw awesome and/or unspeakable s#!t.
Aile 273 Posted June 21, 2015 Don't u see the evil look in her eyes? I'm 99,9% sure she is the most powerful keyblade wielder there is and she is secretly the brain behind everything. She is just using Xehanort as her puppet I'm sure of it!
Derek Abraham 21 Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) Hehe my topic title does sound real dumb, but I'm still going to say that Kairis Grandma has something much more to offer in the series. Edited June 21, 2015 by Derek Abraham
Nweintraub 630 Posted June 21, 2015 Actually, I think the missing link to the trio is actually Yen Sid.
Derek Abraham 21 Posted June 21, 2015 Actually, I think the missing link to the trio is actually Yen Sid.But I just found him much more older than Eraqus, which leads me to think that Eraqus could have been his apprentice
Sorarocks93 678 Posted June 21, 2015 I had always imagined that Kairi's grandmother was like a hidden veteran of the keyblade war and saw awesome and/or unspeakable s#!t. She was the one who caused it. She was too sexy. Everyone actually fought for her and not for Kingdom Hearts. 1 HeyMouseSayCheese reacted to this
Guest Posted June 21, 2015 Honestly, I'd rather have a new female to complete the Xehnaort and Eraqus trio. Maybe she's a love interest for the both of them thus further drifting the two.
Gamer88 3 Posted June 22, 2015 I've been actually wondering about her connection with the past as well. Kairi is a princess, so where does that put her grandmother? I think she held quite a bit of power and there's probably a lot more to her story than we might think. I think it's highly unlikely she has a connection to Eraqus and Xehanort though. I really hope we see her in KH3. Like say sora and Riku order a pizza and Kairi's grandmother is the delivery lady. Then Kairi goes "grandma!" and Xehanort takes over her, killing kairi as she's running with open arms for a hug. Then this leads to Riku and Sora to go after and kill Xehanort. Mainly for not giving them the pizza they ordered.
