Why is Sqaure torturing ussssssssssssss!

Recommended Posts

Are we truly sure that development is not far? They barely showed anything, and the only updates on development are that it's progressing "smoothly".

It was just recently they switched the development engine to Unreal Engine 4... I think it's clear where they're at. And "smoothly" does not mean "quickly."

Coming from a game developer, I can understand them keeping it behind closed doors for now. But as a fan, it can be frustrating going so long hearing how everything is progressing rather than actually seeing the progress for ourselves. Though I'm not all that excited, and I'm not focusing on it, I suggest you do the same.

It will get here when they are ready to say or show something.

Only thing we heard last that's it's running "smoothly".

That's good enough news to me.

The more reason for me to hopefully get a job, budget, and buy a PS4 to get prepared for it's arrival.

It's a little something called......  BUILDING SUSPENSE.  It'll be so amazing when it gets here, just you wait!!! :D

Yeah, it'll be so amazing we'll all have been dead for 20 years.Seriously though, Nomura said they announced it way to early, I'll bet they'd just started actually building the game when we got that first teaser.

Probably. I remember a few months ago, they were still accepting applications from artists and programers to help build their  team. :/  There's no way that game is near completion.

Ah well....I'm just hoping that the finished project will be worth the wait!

Nomura is a talented artist. He can design some poster artwork for Kingdom Hearts 3 or something along the lines of that rather than having to always rely on game play footage to provide Kingdom Hearts 3 news.

Who is this "Sqaure" you refer to? xD

In all seriousness, if you think THIS is torture, be prepared to endure many more years of waiting.

They started the Hype Train for KH3 FAR too early by showing off the game FAR too early and it has completely lost all of its steam. :/

That being said, it's better than being fed constant updates showing us how painstakingly slow the games development is progressing.

They were hiring for new artists and programmers not too long ago and what they showed us previously was most likely CGI Footage anyway as they probably haven't even gotten true gameplay out of the Unreal Engine. I still question why the Luminous Engine wasn't applicable...it worked for FFXV which is similar gameplay wise so it just increased their development time by doing such a thing.

I know it's frustrating and all, but just be patient: there's no fandom in the entire universe more patient than us.

Yeah, we also suffer quite a lot but we're patient.

I mean, just six more days to go and we'll assist to the Square conference and we'll have all the information we need about Kingdom Hearts III. Six days, guys. Enjoy your life in the meanwhile.

Mainly because the only thing that Square will ever give us are pleas to "please be patient."

For myself, my patience has long since run out. Not because the game isn't here yet: there were hiccups and other issues, and these things take a while. That I understand. What I don't care for is the way Square has been giving us nothing to be excited about, in many ways jerking us around in the process (super secret trailers that only a handful of people got to see, anyone?) yet still presumes that we will tolerate anything they throw at us. At least with FFXV, Tabata actually began to throw people a bone here and there by at least talking about the game. The radio silence on KH3 is frustrating, and Nomura's lackadaisical attitude towards his own fanbase is kind of a slap in the face.

I agree, the wait is torturous, but hey, we can't rush perfection!  If we rush things, we'll get a rushed product, and therefore, it won't be worth it.  Granted, I'd still love Kingdom Hearts III either way, but I'd much prefer to wait a bit longer, because if that means that Kingdom Hearts III will be an amazing, quality product and the best game in the series, that'll have justified all the wait! :D

Still though, I just wish we could get one story trailer, even if it's only a minute long! Gahhh, I'm so hoping we get an update on the game's progress at E3!!! X_X
