GothicSlenderman 173 Posted June 9, 2015 What if there was a Kingdom Hearts game/story but instead of Final Fantasy and Disney it used ___ & Warner Bros. Something that wouldn't effect the original timeline (so it would have to use new characters) and a new story based on the idea of KH. Many people seem to argue that WB doesn't have as many memorable characters/series as Disney, but I think that's not true. It's like Saying Playstation and Xbox series aren't as recognizable as Nintendo characters. While they have been in the business longer and have a more popular face (Disney - Mickey Mouse/ Nintendo - Mario) Warner Bros. still has enough to fill an entire sagas worth of KH like stories. Warner Bros. has many famous series & characters like the Looney Toons, Animaniacs & Cats don't dance. BUT they also own HBO (Game of Thrones), Cartoon Network (Choose your poison - Ed, Edd n' Eddy, Adventure Time, Steven Universe), Hanna-Barbera (Scooby-Doo/Flinstones), Adult Swim (Aqua Teen Hunger Force), New Line Cinemas (Friday the 13th & Nightmare on Elm Street), WB Games (Mortal Kombat & Lollipop Chainsaw), DC Universe (Superman & Batman) and a few others as well! Let's not forget they have the film rights to other properties such as Harry Potter, Death Note and even Five Nights at Freddy's. Now as you could easily tell, WB has a split amount of family and adult content so in my idea I'd say this Warner Bros. Kingdom Hearts should be dark yet still appropriate for a younger audience. Like Rated T in gaming or PG-13 in film. Something in the middle so you can easily expect characters like Bugs bunny but also wouldn't mind seeing the likes of Freddy Krueger in the story. Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted June 9, 2015 I'd rather they do their own mashup with their own characters (or at least the ones that would work like all the cartoon characters) and just do a parody game of an RPG or something. Many of the cartoons you listed are much funnier and more wacky than Disney characters (which is their strong point), but they couldn't survive in a complex story. I just couldn't see Bugs Bunny giving the same kind of advice that Mickey does, so they would have to change, but then they wouldn't be them. Even though they might be saying things they wouldn't normally say, EVERY SINGLE Disney character in KH acts like how they normally would. Also, movie rights are different from video game rights, which are different from television rights. Even though they produced Harry Potter movies and the Game of Thrones show, they would have to acquire video game rights for those properties, but they could use their own depiction for free.I like Headphone Jack's idea and think he parody RPG root would be best, sorta like the south park game.Otherwise, I think this is a solid fanfic idea (but the Kingdom Hearts will always be better! ) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
