Weedanort 8,786 Posted May 28, 2015 Since we're almost all from different countries, I'd like to see what's your country's traditional food I'll start Cow Paws Feijoada à Transmontana (Mainly beans, pork and cow) Francesinha (Bread with ham, steak, sausages, an egg, french fries, and beer sauce) 5 Aru Akise, The Transcendent Key, Revolart and 2 others reacted to this
Aru Akise 2,540 Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO STEAL OUR GOLD, PRECIOUS STONES, ENSLAVE OUR ÍNDIOS AND NOW EVEN STEAL OUR FEIJOADA? PORTUGUESE PEOPLE, IT'S TIME TO D-D-DD-D-D-DD-DD-D-D-D-DD-D-D-DD--D-DD-D--D-D-D-DD---DD-D-D-D-D-DD-DD-- Anywho, where's the bacalhau? BRAZIL'S TYPICAL FOOD IS! ACARAJÉ! (Since the portuguese stole our feijoada already, even) I have never eaten it, tho. Not the brazil enthusiast here. I suggest some Yucca Some Mofongo Tostones too! And you can't go without Pasteles And if you're over around Thanksgiving or Christmas, try coquito! Ah man, this is making me hungry. I haven't eaten most of these since I moved to the US... 2 Revolart and Weedanort reacted to this
Aru Akise 2,540 Posted May 28, 2015 And you can't go without Pasteles That looks like pamonha. Is it made of corn? 2 Weedanort and Revolart reacted to this
Stardustblade358 806 Posted May 28, 2015 That looks like pamonha. Is it made of corn? No corn. We mostly use green plantain and eddoe. The inside depends on what you want. It's usually either pork, Yucca, or anything you think that will taste tasty in there. Seems very similar, though!

It's a typical dish not only from Japan, but from my province, Akita. 1 Revolart reacted to this

Aru Akise 2,540 Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) Some more from the japanese side. Hell, every food in there is traditional food, I'll have to post as much as in the Table to have all dishes in here. This is Basashi. Doesn't know what Basashi is? Why, it is a delicacy. HORSE SASHIMI. YUMMY. littleTSUBAME 483 Posted May 28, 2015 Isn't that chocolate pie? Nope, it's a traditional finnish easter dessert, mämmi. It's made of water, rye flour and malted rye (had to check on wikipedia, since I actually had no idea what it contains). Now that you mention it, it might resemble chocolate a bit... To me it has always looked like mud though.

littleTSUBAME 483 Posted May 28, 2015 And...What does it taste like? Because that thing definately looks like it tastes like chocolate. It tastes nothing like chocolate. The taste is actually quite hard to explain, especially since it's been such a long time since I last ate it. Maybe it was something like porridge but with stronger flavour, sugary but also sour...? That didn't explain much I think? 1 AngelTheWeirdStranger reacted to this
