That looks like pamonha.

Is it made of corn?

No corn. We mostly use green plantain and eddoe. The inside depends on what you want. It's usually either pork, Yucca, or anything you think that will taste tasty in there. Seems very similar, though!

Hmmmm Pasteles are close to Pastel then.

Also, Inaniwa Udon, since I'm japanese too. It's a typical dish not only from Japan, but from my province, Akita.

U.S., so we get disgusting shit like this:

Posted Image

Or somehow even worse:

Posted Image

Basically the American way is to add shit to other shit until you get shit that works, and also it has to be fast food because it has to be fed to millions of people at once because cuisine is a business just like everything is a business auugghhh.

Isn't that chocolate pie?

Nope, it's a traditional finnish easter dessert, mämmi. It's made of water, rye flour and malted rye (had to check on wikipedia, since I actually had no idea what it contains).

Now that you mention it, it might resemble chocolate a bit... :D To me it has always looked like mud though.

It tastes nothing like chocolate. The taste is actually quite hard to explain, especially since it's been such a long time since I last ate it. Maybe it was something like porridge but with stronger flavour, sugary but also sour...? That didn't explain much I think? :D
