No, they need to just leave the universe alone now, they already ruined all of cloud's character development from the first game just to make him the same guy he was from the beginning of VII in AC, only to have him end up right back where he was at the end of VII, except being unable to say "let's mosey" (what i would have done to hear him say that in KH). Genesis as a villain or whatever he would be just wouldnt be that great in my opinion, and we all know its going to result in sephiroth coming back yet again anyway to confront cloud with a personal dilemma that cloud has already conquered twice now, so it would just be repetitive. The clean and happy ending is in FF7, to want more is to force characters to undergo massive amounts of bullcrap that means nothing to them and us, the viewers, as a whole. Their backstories/internal conflicts that built them were shown and resolved within the same game, there is nothing that can be done that can make these characters nearly as captivating as when they were first shown. Thats why we get games like FFX-2 and FFXIII-2/3 going from a robust roster pf characters to 3,..., to 2,...to 1, respectively. Sorry to go on a rant, but the compilation of FF7 was...mishandled in my eyes, except for crisis core, crisis core was frecking awesome.

Haven't read anything about that. SE said they would consider it if FFX/X-2 HD is a success. It was, and so far, nothing as leaked nor as been announced as a FFXII HD. 

And god do I want one. Also, I'd love a FFXI offline HD too.
