Seraphim rolled put of bed. Literally. Hitting the ground, she shot up groggily, rubbing her eyes. She stood, and felt for her bathroom. Shower started, she stripped her shirt and panties off before coming into the glorious warm water with a sigh.

"I wonder if I can get away with calling in sick."

Aeria woke up with her face in Elysia's chest. Scrambling away, she was prepared for a scolding when she realized...Elysia was fast asleep.

Relaxing, she climbed out of her mom's bed and padded out into the kitchen, and began to cook pancakes.

Aeria wondered if she should make chocolate chip or plain buttermilk.

Decisions, decisions.

-Lightning-

Scrolls. Scrolls everywhere. A girl, blue hair...always slight variations of her hair...some short. Some long...a sword, crimson and powerful...another, no two...then a face with rose colored hair, then a full person...not Eclair...then a horse, big and armoewd, powerful. A loud cry of power...

Elysia shot up, panting. Aeria was gone, thankfully. She was glad - being this shaken up...

Who was that girl? Why was she dreaming of scrolls...

"And where can I get those awesome Gunswords..."

The door opened to Aeria holding a tray.

"I...made breakfast, mommmy..."

Mommy. That word nearly broke Elysia's heart. She smiled, and straightened up. Set down, Aeria sat beside her. "I hope I didn't undercook the bacon..."

Elysia took a bite, grinning. "Chewy or crunchy, all forms of bacon are acceptable."

Aeria smiled back. Okay. She did good.

She could do good.

Elysia just ate, wishing it was her day off.

Then came the pounding. Sighing, she extricated herself before grabbing her gun holster. Locking it onto her panties, she tugged her shirt over it and went to the door. She opened it up and looked out, body behind said door.

"What the hell do you want?"

Needless to say that the science teacher was mad.  Very mad.  If it were possibly smoke would be fuming out of his ears and his face would've been bright purple.  It was already red, his eyes glassy.  Kievan stormed out into his front lawn that morning, opened his car door, and slammed it shut.  This was the last straw.  He'd already had as much as he could possibly take.  Someone--something--had raided his study, and he was almost certain he knew who it was, and who could've broken in without noticeable damage.

He didn't allow other possibilities.  He was certain it was her.

He drove through several stop signs without pause, getting onto the main road and making his way toward her abode.  Upon his arrival he slammed the door shut, marched up the steps, and pounded on Elysia's door.  It was early, six o'clock, in fact, but he didn't care.  She was the FBI, after all, and she was going to get an earful from him for having invaded his home without his permission . . . assuming she'd even done it.  After all, who else would?

(Just in case you missed the angry man at Elysia's door. ; )  He could come later, however, rather than six o'clock.)

Eclair sipped at her cocktail as Krissa offered her advice.

"Easier said then done." She muttered after Krissa was finished.

Eclair knew she really shouldn't be talking about this, but it felt good to get it off her chest. She finished most of her drink before leaving money with a generous tip, gave Krissa a thank you and Emmet a wink as she passed, on her way out. If the sorceress was going to be snooping around, she might as well be well rested for it.

{Rikku & Balthier}

Tiffany was half way to the cafe that morning when she remembered what might be true about Eclair. She didn't know if she could face that, so she diverted to a McDonalds where she had a McMuffin and Orange juice. On her way out, she stopped half way out the door when she saw Sid leaning against his truck, smiling slightly at her.

"Miss Flint." He greeted.

"Sid." She said in a neutral tone, which was down right hostile for her.

She stepped fully out of McDonalds, allowing the door to close behind her. She moved to keep going, but Sid pushed off his vehicle to follow her.

"Need something?" She asked, stopping again.

"Yes." Sid answered. "An assistant."

Tiffany's eyebrows went up.

"And you think I'd be a good choice, after what happened between you and my dad?"

Sid shrugged.

"Hoping so, yes." He answered. "How is your father, by the way? Been a while since we last talked."

"For obvious reasons." Tiffany replied, curtly. "But... He's fine. Some weird social security loophole gives him enough to live on, at least."

Sid nodded his approval, though Tiffany noticed that he didn't seem surprised. Did he already know about it?

"Good to hear." Sid said. "Your father's one of the best mechanics I know, though he used to talk up a storm about your talent. Interested in putting them to the test?"

Despite herself, Tiffany was intrigued by the offer. She loved being elbows deep in grease, figuring out how things work and why they weren't currently. And any chance to do something really challenging in that vein was hard to resist.

"Go on." She said in a guarded tone.

Nicole woke with a start; only a short time had passed since she had fallen asleep. Outside the door, tapping on her car, was a man she came to know as Skylar. Reluctantly pushing herself off the steering wheel, she pressed a button between the two front seats, rolling down the window.

"Something you need?" She asked, groggy still, strains of hair hanging out of her mouth unknowingly.

~Zidane Tribal~

Zachary chuckled as he looked back up at the girl, who now stood next to him.

"I wanna show you something!" He grabbed her wrist, as to avoid awkward premature intimacy, and began walking towards the Beach. Dinner? Maybe breakfast at this hour... Stil, however, there was more to do than just eat.

"How was the Inn? Anyone new?"

~Tyro~

Emmet took a breathe and chuckled.

"Very funny. Hey there, Eclair." He spoke as he took a seat in front of Krissa.

"I wanna hear the usual. Anything good going on?"

At Narshe B&B:

The sun shone through a window that afternoon.  The Narshe B&B had been remotely quiet, with some guests leaving, others eating breakfast, and just the normal conducting of business.  The strange visitor, Yeul, hadn't yet left her room, and no one "brotherly" had come regarding her to make any method of payment.

Breaking the silence, a tall woman in a blood-red pantsuit entered.  Her eyes were cold and calculating on her pallid face.  Her silver-white hair was drawn into a bun, so tight that it visibly tugged the skin around her temples.  In a few swift strides she made her way to the counter, leaning an elbow on it casually as she stared at Tina.  "Excuse me, miss, I would like to reserve a room."  She gave her a smile, yet there was something odd within it.  "I am a journalist from out of town, dedicated to recording the events and ongoings in this town.  Being the receptionist of the only hotel on Destiny Beach I'm sure you see many faces come and go.  Have any, out of curiosity, piqued your interest?  Are there any guests who you think wouldn't mind my asking them a few questions for my story?"  Ultimecia smiled, stretching her ruby-red lips fine.  If she couldn't trust Eclair, she was just going to have to dig right in herself.  Perhaps, in fact, it was time that she considered "eliminating" her little helper.  She knew too much.

-Locke-

The brunet grinned at Nicole, though his expression slightly shifted to concern when he'd discovered how bad he'd startled her.  He scratched the back of his head.  "Gee, sorry, I didn't mean to interfere with your beauty rest.  I just wanted to say hey and see if you needed anything.  It's not everyday that I see a member from Social Butterflies sleeping in their car outside the hospital.  Did anything happen?"  Considering her a moment, Skylar straightened, his expression growing serious.  Strange things seemed to be happening so often in this town.  It almost started to feel that he lived in a world of fantasy rather than modern everyday life that he was accustomed to.  Sometimes he would wake up sensing that something was missing in his life, or he'd look at Tina and feel like he knew her, truly, as well as Nicole more than passing.  It was strange; something that he wanted to relay to Nicole, yet felt it really wasn't his place to do so.  He didn't want to freak her out more than he already had.

-Kefka-

For some reason Elysia's response only managed to infuriate the science teacher even more.  He tried to shove the door open, putting a hand against the smooth wood and putting a great amount of force behind it, naturally feeling like Elysia was being cowardly for hiding behind it.  "I'll tell you what the hell I want."  His glare was sharp, his words like knives as he spat them.  "I want you to get the flipping hell out of my house without my permission, that's what!  You have no right to barge in and begin ramshackling my place without my consent, let alone a search warrant.  You seem to think you're high and mighty just because you're "the head of the FBI," but I'll tell you what you are: a pathetic know-it-all who thinks she can do anything she darn well pleases!  And I've had it!  Don't think I won't take this to the sheriff, or authorities, or to whoever the heck I need to bring it to.  Some people will tolerate you're bullying, Elysia, but I will not."

Of course, Kievan didn't stop and think intelligently for a moment that it could've been someone else.  There were plenty of people who were a bit too nosy about his ongoings; it wasn't anywhere near unlikely that someone else could've broken in to snatch his stuff.

Eclair grumbled under her breath as she walked to the front door of her trailer to answer the incessant knocking. She had tried to sleep through it, but the knocking had continued with all the certainty that the knocker had more patients then the sleeper. She swung the door open and glared at Johnny Frost, her neighbor.

"What?" She said tersely.

Johnny beamed at her.

"Burning day light." He said cheerfully.

Eclair noted that Johnny appeared to have gotten back from running. He took a swig of water as she considered her response.

"Drop dead." Came her clever response.

Laughing, Johnny handed her a paper bag.

"Nope, to much to do. Have a muffin."

After snatching the offered bag, Eclair's mood improved when she saw her favorite muffin type, smelling nice and fresh.

"Get dressed and come over." Johnny said, turning away and heading to his shop. "I could hear you clomping around last night. You can tell me what's wrong as you eat and I do some sanding."

Eclair couldn't help but smile. Johnny was her best friend and he always knew how to cheer her up. She closed her front door to quickly get dressed before heading over.

{Balthier & Rikku}

"Best to talk that out some place more private." Sid replied.

Tiffany eyed him.

"Is this something illegal?" She asked bluntly. "You know I can't do that to my dad, after what my broth-"

"I can assure you, it is not illegal." He answered, hoping he was right. "And if something comes

up, you'll be kept well away from it."

"Like you tried to do for my brother?" Tiffany asked suddenly.

She took a bit of satisfaction to see surprise on his face for a moment, but it was gone quickly. She had known of Sid's dealings with her brother, and that he tried to keep the dolt from getting imprisoned for illegal street racing and trying to start a chop shop.

"Yes." Sid said, a little tightly. "He didn't make it easy, but I did what I could."

Something clicked in Tiffany's head. Oh, it made so much sense now.

"By buying my Dad's business to pay for bro's defense." She said, nodding. "And you've been supporting dad."

Sid looked uncomfortable. He found himself wishing Tiffany wasn't so bright.

"Well, you'd better get my scooter in your truck." Tiffany said with a hint of triumph. "You can tell me about the job on the way."

Susan Sykes put her box of stuff on her desk and looked around. She had already seen Ace around, and she knew where Altira's office was. She was nervous, this being her first day on the job having come out of training. First step, stay calm. Second, unpack. She started on the second step since the first was an ongoing process.

The silver-haired FBI Agent hugged Susan from behind.

"Stop being tense, we're family here!" She said cheerfully. Letting go, she straightened her tie. "Seraphim. Call me Sera. I'm part of the Field Team with Elysia Tonnerre...who has the day off. I'd get Ace or King to come but I think I'll drag your butt around." She grinned. "Welcome to the FBI."

-Xion/Light-

Aeria awoke to shouting, and got up. She stumbled from the room and toward the door, where Elysia was looking at Kievan with extreme disinterest.

"I didn't touch your place of residence or shop. I don't care about your place of residence or shop. I don't care about you at all, Kievan. Now remove yourself before I have you arrested for harassment and disturbing the peace - you just woke up my daughter, and I don't like it when she's disturbed." She was deadpan, but it was Elysia. She wasn't exactly -

She screamed suddenly, holding her head. More images, painful, burning. A giant horse charging her, armored and...gone.

She looked up. She was still there with Kievan. Panting, she leaned against the wall. "Get off my doorstep, I didn't touch your shit." She slammed the door in the man's face.

She had become pale.

Wh...what was going on?

~Last Night~

"Ah crap," Terrence sighed loudly. "That is definitely not good." He said, before pausing in thought. "Alright, don't worry about it. I'll work on finding him all night. I'll check in with Krissa, though she's always good about not being stupid, and check every corner of town.Tomorrow morning, I'll head to the school and check with his friends. He hangs out with Flint and Aeria doesn't he?" He said, planning out his methods. "But onto the reason I called you. Earlier this evening, Aron, the teacher, and I encountered some a pack of wolves. I shot one in self-defense before it ate one of us, and once I did, it turned into a man with spiky blond hair. I'm being honest with you, I promise. Even if it's hard to believe. Anyway, I got Aron to take the car and the man to the hospital while I finished dealing with the wolves. I didn't shoot any of the rest of them, and none of them turned into humans either. When I got to the hospital, the man was awake, but he didn't have any memory. He vaguely recalled a man named Zack and Sephiroth. Before he fell back asleep, he gave me a photo of "Zack" and his girlfriend. Weirdly enough, they look a lot like Alex and Iris. Sorry if I'm overloading you right now, I just wanted you to know since it was kind of important. And weird."

~Current Time~

Terrence blinked awake. The sun was shining in his eyes. Where was he? Oh right. In his car, in the alley. He wished the seats in this thing were more comfortable for sleep. The Sheriff yawned. He had managed to park before drifting off luckily, but he had not been able to find Lukas. He glanced around, and discovered he was right near a Starbucks. Brilliant. A Pumpkin Spice was just what he needed. The Sheriff pocketed his phone that had still been on the dashboard, and got out of his car, headed towards the coffee shop.

<Terra>

Tina had her coffee on her desk and was clicking through the records to make sure that Zach and Yeul both had it marked down how much they owed when the woman had entered. Tina glanced to the woman, and listened carefully to her questions. She tilted her head thoughtfully and drank a sip of her coffee. What should she do? Ha. She was acting as if that was even a question. "I'm sorry, but no, no guests have really, piqued my interest as you put it. But there is one man who loves to talk staying here now. His name is Zach, nice boy, blond hair, energetic, always about. He hasn't come back from his night on the town with the other employee of my inn, but once he does, I'm sure he'd love to talk to you. As for your room..." Tina put her hand out. "Can I see your credit card?" A promise was a promise, especially one from customer to merchant.

*Yuffie*

Amber smiled slightly to herself when Zach had grabbed her wrist. That almost certainly meant that he did have some kind of serious feelings for her. With his flirtatious ways, she had seen him grab the hands of girls dozens of times. "Oh, not really," Amber started. That was what she usually said when someone asked if anything was new at the inn. "No wait! There was this woman who came really really late. She wanted a room, but didn't have any payment. I let her in though. She didn't want anybody to know she was there though. Interesting right?"

[Krissa]

"You know, the usual. Aeria still hasn't broken up with that prick. Sid's shop was ransacked by the FBI again. There was a Hearts 4 Souls meeting. Nothing too dramatic. At least, not that I've heard. Of course, if you knew anything, I'm sure you would tell me wouldn't you?" Krissa said to Emmet, leaning over the bar. She glanced out the windows of the bar and noticed the sunrise. "Don't you have somewhere to be around this time of day my gossip hoarder?" She asked him playfully as she finished off the cleaning and began to move towards the door. The bar would open up again this evening, and she needed to get some rest before she took that shift again. "Come on, time to go," The Bartender said.

-Aqua-

Sophia's eyes widened upon hearing Terrance's story. It sounded absolutely crazy, but at this point she was ready to believe just about... Anything. This entire mess just has her tired, and stressed.

"Oh no..." Aqua muttered, worried more about the man Terrance shot and Lukas than anything else. Usually she would go out and help, but she had Sora to look after.

"Alright... Thank you for telling me and thank you for going out to find him... I just hope he isn't drinking again... Listen, I got to go. I'm really sorry. I'll talk to you tomorrow okay? Goodnight!" With that, she hung up. Sophia was going to go get Sora until she realized he was right behind her.

"O-Oh I'm sorry!" Sophia said with a frown. She hope she didn't worry Sora too much. "Hey, I prepared some food for you. If you'd like you can go eat and right after you can play games all you want. I'll even let Sherlotta sleep with you tonight."

The next morning, Aqua woke up with a quiet yawn. As soon as she thought about what happened last night, she instantly picked up her phone and called Terrance. It was still very early so Sora shouldn't be up yet. Sophia had let him sleep in the guest room with Sherlotta.

"Hey, Terrance! How are you? Did you find Lukas?"

-Lukas-

Lukas nodded with a quiet whimper. Honestly he didn't want to be left alone, and his drunken state only made it worse for him. He was going to reach out for his friend, but instead Lukas curled up in the bed and closed his eyes.

Nicole shook her head, rubbing it against the back of her chair. Something did happen, but if word got out, she'd probably be fired.

"I just... I heard about some accident that happened with a blonde boy inside. I just wanted to check and see if it wasn't that Lukas kid." An obvious lie, no one even knew that blonde boy was in there.

"You need something?" Nicole asked, finally getting out of her daze.

~Zidane Tribal~

Zachary laughed. Maybe Amber wasn't at all as bright as he thought. Still, he pulled her towards the Beach at a slight jog, eventually letting go of her wrist.

"That's a little interesting, actually. But at least you're getting customers! I haven't had a job offer in awhile. I might end up having to sell some stuff to keep my room." Zach accidently hit his arm on a stop sign he was passing, and cringed at the pain. Honestly, he was surprised that Amber hadn't said anything about the cast he was still in. He was lucky, really. It was daytime now, and the kids were beginning to leave for school, meaning the beach was empty.

"This way!" Zach shouted, as he began running towards the shore.

~Tyro~

"Well, I saw that Lukas kid on the streets a while back, but nothing really new." There were a few faces that Emmet was very interested in. Sophia, Lukas, Flint, Aeria, and several others throughout the town. He hadn't recognized them, which is odd, as he knew everyone else. Tifa, Yuffie, Fran, and even Kefka, but these few people seemed oddly out of place to him.

"So basically, the same old... oh well." Krissa began to push him out of the bar. Was it already daytime? "Alright, alright. I'll go to the GameStop. Maybe they'll have something good." Tyro left the bar,and into the streets, that deemed only to get busier.

-Ultimecia-

At first the woman blinked, twice, before nodding and opening her pocketbook.  "Yes, yes, let me see here . . . .  Oh, it would seem that I left my credit card back with my luggage in my other bag.  Would you accept cash?"  She placed two $100 bills on the counter casually, stuffing the rest of her cash back in her wallet.  From the looks of it, that was only a small amount of her funds.  "As for the Zach, I would be quite delighted to speak with him.  He seems like an interesting fellow and probably has his own story to share."  Ultimecia smiled, adjusting her small carry-on while eyeing Tina curiously.  "What about you, dear?  How long have you been here in town?  As I mentioned, I live a ways away, in Northern Florida.  I'm just here on business to gather some stories for my paper.  It's such an adorable quaint town, is it not?"

-Vanitas and Kefka-

The dark-haired delinquent rolled through the streets on his skateboard, wind rushing through his hair and pounding in his ears.  Regret, sorrow, pain, and loneliness ate through him, which only made Maverick want to make himself feel better.  But what did Maverick do to make others feel better?  That's right: he'd find every and any possible way to hurt other people, because that just gave him a shallow sense of accomplishment that sent him on his merry way.

It was a wonder how the teen could remember anything, but his girlfriend's birthday came to mind.  That's right, the girl he was with just to screw up her life and make Lukas angry.  He hated that kid, more than anyone in that entire blasted town, and would do anything--include hurting others--just to make him suffer.  He skateboarded further down the street, trying to figure out if he could get past Elysia to see Aeria when he saw a very disgruntled scientist at her door.  "That woman!  What does she think she's playing at?"  To Maverick's horror Kievan turned around, giving the youth a stare that could freeze water mid-July.  "And what exactly are you doing here, you idiot boy?  Come to wreck some havoc on good ol' mighty Officer Elysia, did you?"  All Kievan could do was sigh as he withdrew from her porch, walking past Maverick before offering him a sideways glance.  "Just have fun with it."

Maverick stood, silent, watching as Kievan went to his car, slammed the door shut, and sped away.  It was odd; normally the science teacher hated him.  With that, Maverick snuck around to the side of the house, snatching some pebbles from the front lawn, and chucking them at Aeria's window.

-Sora-

The boy had looked at Sophia shifty-eyed when she seemed alarmed that he'd been listening in to her message.  Had she not wanted him to hear?  Had the phone call been about him?  She'd mentioned that someone had gone missing . . . .  Had she been telling the sheriff, even though she'd sworn not to?  Suspicion crawled into Sora's mind, though he knew better than to open his mouth about it.  He found Sherlotta rubbing against his legs, causing him to kneel down to lift her.  "Hey, it's okay.  Who were you talking to, anyway?"  Not that he would know, but the curious side got the better of him.  Just as he said this a yawn managed to escape him.  His eyes burned, and it seemed he was much more tired than he'd initially thought.  Still, he couldn't wait to play.  He did just that, but hadn't gotten very far before collapsing on the couch.  He'd be out for hours.

-Locke-

Skylar straightened upon Nicole's words.  They were dismissive, as though she really didn't want to spend her time talking to the likes of him.  A little offended, Skylar shifted away from her.  "Never mind; I just wanted to make sure that you were okay.  It's not every day that I see a lady sleeping inside her car."  He turned to leave, taking a few steps before shooting a sideways glance at the woman.  "Just be careful, Nic.  I don't know you, really.  I mean, we just met, but for some reason I feel like I'm supposed to protect you, like . . . "  Finally the brunet shook his head.  It was crazy.  He raised a hand dismissively.  "Never mind.  Just you take care."

He got in the drivers seat of his car, running his fingers through his unkempt hair.  He didn't know what was getting to him, or why he felt antsy at all.  All of the events lately were just making his skin crawl, and it unnerved him slightly.  He thought about it all the way to work, when he came into the Gamestop door.  He wondered if Alex or Aeria would be there to greet him.

Susan nearly jumped when Sera came up behind her. She managed to control the instinct to elbow the senior FBI Agent in the stomach. With Sera properly classified as a superior and not a threat, Susan stood to a less formal form of attention.

"Glad to be here." She said after Sera was done with her welcome. "I'm Susan Sykes, by the way. Though, you probably already knew that."

Never good at meeting people, a bit of protocol in these situations was remembered after only a pause.

"Nice to meet you, Sera." She added. "So, where am I being dragged?"

{Lumina & Snow}

Eclair found the garage door to Johnny's shop open, and the big guy working with fine tools to add some detailing to a table. He glanced up and gave her a friendly smile.

"Are you ready to admit it's a good morning?" He asked.

Jumping on a stool, Eclair took her first bite out of her muffin, then chewed thoughtfully.

"Yeah, I think so." She admitted, then took another bite.

"Good." Johnny said cheerfully, reaching behind him for a new tool.

In a moment when Eclair was engrossed with her muffin, Johnny gave her a concerned look. He thought of the young waitress as his little sister ever since she had moved into the vacant lot next door. He was worried with some of what he heard last night. Her stomping around happened from time to time, but she several times yelled in rage. He had never heard he do that before. What could drive her to feel like that was a question he wasn't sure he wanted to know, but felt whole heartedly that he wanted to help her fix.

"So, you wanna talk about what was bothering you last night?" He asked as he set back to work with the new tool.

Elcair closed her eyes and inwardly groaned. Johnny was using his soft voice he used when he was politely trying to figure out what was wrong so he could fix it. She had been dreading that since he had left her the muffin. She couldn't tell him. In someways, she wanted to. But that would destroy a lot of things. Some were too precious to let go of. But, luckily, there was something else to be bothered about that would throw him off.

"You know Aeria?" She asked. "Elysia's daughter?"

Johnny stopped working and turned to look at Eclair.

"Yeah." He answered.

"Her little twerp of a boyfriend has been bullying her. Bad. Makes me want to knock his teeth out."

A look of cold fury lurked in Johnny's features, but he still managed a chuckle.

"Well, if that's how you feel, I can imagine the little monster is going to or has already had a 'talk' with Elysia. And the only reason he'd still have teeth after that is because she wants them to ache inside his head."

Sid had loaded Tiffany's moped in the back of his truck in silence and had continued it as he pulled out of the parking lot with Tiffany in his passenger seat.

"So how'd you know?" He asked finally.

"Bro told me." Tiffany answered. "Said you warned him what would happen before he was arrested. Then I heard that someone had tried to destroy some of the evidence against him, but the Feds moved in too fast. The rest fell into place when I assumed you were actually partly a decent person."

"Big assumption." Sid retorted.

"But it at least hit a mark." Tiffany pointed out. "So, what's this job?"

"Salvage." Sid answered. "Looks to be a mech like from the movies."

Tiffany gave him a incredulous look.

"You're kidding." She said.

Sid grinned.

"Nope."

"Sorry honey..." she kissed the girls head. "Go get ready, and we can get some breakfast. I got the day off so we can do whatever you want."

-Xion-

Smiling, the girl hugged back, then pulled away. "Alright." She went to her room as the pebbles hit, and opened it...and scowled.

"What the firetruck do you want Maverick? I thought I was clear, we're done."

-Aqua- (This is last night in response to Sora's question before he went to bed.)

Sophia chuckled softly and rubbed the back of her head.

"That was my partner Terrence." Sophia said with a reassuring smile. "He's a very kind strong man. You would like him. He's the Sheriff too!" Sophia couldn't help but warm up at the thought of her partner. Just thinking about the man made her smile. "I was talking to him about this boy, Lukas. He's your age and well he always gets himself in trouble... I just wanted to tell Terrence to look for him." Sophia decided to tell Sora the truth, since after all he looked rather uncomfortable. Plus if she was going to gain his trust she would definitely have to tell the truth.

-Roxas-

Meanwhile Lukas curled up a bit as he slept. He was able to sleep for a good hour or two... Until he realized that today was Aeria's birthday. This realization completely jolted Lukas out of his drunken state and made him instantly awake and sober. With no thought he just tore his wallet out of his pants and jumped out of the window. (Luckily he could take a fall.) Lukas made it Tyro's shop in less than fifteen minutes.

"THE NECKLACE." Lukas said, placing his money on the table. "THE NECKLACE I HAD ON LAYAWAY... Please... Tyro?!" Lukas looked around the Pawn Shop. No Tyro. For firetrucks sake.

-Vanille-

The redhead finally got into her car after daydreaming about Allen and fixing up her apartment.  It was another day in the veterinarian's office, but she didn't mind; she just adored her job.  Genuinely caring about others was what Rachel was all about, and animals were no exception.

The trip to her office was relatively dull and ordinary until her car's steering started to act up terribly.  She could hardly control the wheel, and eventually it just gave away and she heard a loud crunch on the passenger side of her car.  Rachel let out a tiny gasp as she slammed on her brakes and smashed the hazard button on the dash.  This was certainly not how she planned to spend her morning, and at this rate she'd be rather late.  She hopped out of her car to observe the damage, and found that the entire front right wheel was jutting out abnormally.  A frown furrowed her pale forehead; there was no way that she could continue driving it in such a state.  There was only one thing to do.  She pulled her cell phone from her purse and dialed Sid's number.  "Hello, Sid?  This is Rachel Norman.  I've encountered a tiny bit of a problem on my way to work this morning.  My tire seems to be out of place and I can't drive it.  Would you be able to tow it for me, please?"

-Vanitas-

Maverick only grinned widely at Aeria's response.  The dark-haired teen didn't know when to call it quits.  He threw his arms wide.  "But Aeria, you know that you don't mean what you say.  I'm such a huge part of your life; you can't live without me.  And besides, I have a birthday present for you."  He strolled to her bedroom window and climbed into her room.  He didn't dare linger too long here, however, in case Elysia decided to barge right in and de-gut him.  He glanced at Aeria and grabbed her shoulders.  "C'mon!  I want to take you somewhere.  Get ready."

With his grin one could think he meant it sincerely, but in truth it was more of a demand than a request, and the consequences would be high if she dared disobey.

-Sora-

The morning was young when Sora finally yawned and stretched.  He didn't recall falling asleep on the couch, nor putting a blanket on himself.  He grinned as he took a long whiff of the blanket; it smelled fresh and like the sea.  A slight movement on his lap caught his attention.  He glanced down to find Sherlotta curled up, peacefully asleep.  The sound of Sophia's soft voice from the other room caught his attention; he assumed that she was on the phone again.  Instead of bothering her, however, the boy escaped Sherlotta's clutches and slid off the couch.  Silently he tiptoed across her living room and into the kitchen.  He didn't wish to be nosy, but he assumed that it wouldn't bother Sophia too greatly if he poked around for some breakfast, would it?  After checking out several cabinets and the dishwasher, Sora managed to find a clean spoon, bowl, cereal, and a gallon of milk, which he took to the kitchen table.  He poured himself some frosted cheerios--which just so happened to be his very favorite--and milk and dug his spoon in, feeling more cheerful than he had in a while.

Terrence's phone buzzed as he stood at the counter of the coffee chain. He pulled it out of his pocket, and upon seeing that it was Sophia, picked up. He listened to her, and then sighed regretfully. "Just got up after a wonderful night in the cruiser. I couldn't find him last night. Krissa said that she hadn't seen him there, and I looked through every nook and cranny of the streets of this town, but no luck. I was going to head to Elysia's house to ask Aeria some questions in a bit." He gave her an update. He grabbed the cup of coffee from the barista and nodded with a smile. The Sheriff took a sip. "I don't suppose you have any ideas?" He asked.

Tina took the money and quickly gave the change back. After a few keystrokes, Tina spun around and grabbed a key off a hook. "Room 205 is yours." The Innkeeper said before handing the key to her customer. "I'm nothing special really. I've lived here for as long as I can remember..." Tina trailed off as she felt an immense headache. She saw visions of many many places... A cold mountain town, a desert castle, a huge opera house. But none seemed quite right, ever so off from her reality. Tina shook her head and glanced back up towards the customer. "I own this inn, and it's the only one in town, so that's definitely good for business. I also work with a local charity group, Hearts 4 Souls. Not much to this place really, we all just have a nice peaceful existence." Tina said. "As for talking to Zach... Well, he's out right now with my employee. I can check where they are though." She said, pulling out her phone, and texting to Amber.

*Yuffie*

"Yeah, customers are definitely good. Keep the lights on and I keep getting paid." She said with a nod. Soon enough, they had reached the shore. Amber smiled and laughed when Zach began running down the beach. She loved running on the soft sand of the seashore. It always felt so perfect, so amazing. The sound of the waves hitting the beach, the feeling of the sun on her neck. It always made her appreciate life here at Destiny Beach a little bit more. She managed to catch up to Zach, when her phone buzzed. She pulled it out of her short shorts and read the message.

"Where are you and Zach?" Tina had asked. Amber thought it a bit of an odd question, but she answered nonetheless.

"The beach" She responded quickly.

[Tifa]

"Yeah, head to Gamestop. That's a good spot for kids like you." Krissa said with a smile as she waved a good bye to Emmet. She turned back around and hummed a little tune as she headed back to her car. She was tired after taking the graveyard shift, and wanted to get some sleep before this afternoon. Boxing club was having a meeting, and she never missed something like that.

Sophia sighed softly at the fact that Lukas hasn't been found yet. She could only imagine how worried everyone much be at the Group Home. She understood why Lukas didn't want to be there... But he still had to be there. Lukas couldn't just live on his own.

"He could be hurt..." Sophia uttered worriedly. The only idea she had was to go out there and help look for him... But she had Sora to take care of. And she could drive around with Sora to look for Lukas. Could she? Definitely not. It would risk other people seeing Sora.

"I think the best thing you could do is keep searching through town... Or see if Flint knows anything. Flint IS Lukas' best friend after all."

-Roxas-

Meanwhile Lukas signed at the fact that Tyro was nowhere to be found. As a result, Lukas decided to go sit outside on the ground in front of the store to wait. He had to get Aeria her necklace. There was no way Lukas was going to leave without it.

"This is stupid..." He uttered to himself.

-Auron-

-Aron's appartment-

Aron would wake up to realize he was facing the ground, he had fallen from his bed, again, as he grunted as he started to get up and look around, and at the time, luckily he wasn't late for the classes, he still had a few hours of free time, but he got himself dressed nonetheless, making some coffee and grilled eggs for breakfast before leaving, all the while recording what he did the past night.

He had taken that boy to the hospital, spoken with him, and the boy gave Terrence a possible lead on who the boy was talking about, Aron wanted to help but Terrence told him to go home, so he followed suit, not before stopping at a nearby fast food and grabbing some food, as he had no intention of cooking that night anyway.

It was then a small realization came to him, as his eyes widened a bit, today was Aeria's birthday, that poor, poor girl who had maverick for a boyfriend, "Why she dates him or how she even got together with him is beyond me...teenagers..." he said sighing as he now had to buy a gift for that girl, he always gave gifs to his students, be them small or not, he wanted to give them something, specially those who seemed to be down, and Aeria...well Aron would constantly ask students to keep watch on her in case she tried to hurt herself due to depression.

With a sigh and a last sip of coffee, he left his dishes in the sink to wash after he returned home, as he now had a gift to buy...although he didn't know what gift to buy, but he also thought about the events yesterday, and those wolves...one of which turned into a boy after shot...

{Balthier & Rikku}

Tiffany blinked a few times as she tried to comprehend what Sid had just dropped on her.

"It isn't stolen, is it?" She asked suspiciously.

"I was told it was found." Sid answered. "If it does turn out stolen, I'll make sure you are far from the fallout."

"who told-" Tiffany began to ask.

"A partner." Sid cut her off. "It's not a dark secret, but it is better off if you don"t know. Deniability and all that."

Tiffany huffed, but accepted the answer. Before they could continue their conversation, Si's phone rung.

"Sid's Auto." he answered, then Rachel launched into her problem.

After a moment of consideration, Sid answered.

"Of course. I'll be there in 8 minutes."

Pulling into his garage, turned off his truck, gave Tiffany a "make yourself at home " gesture, then jumped into his tow truck. As Sid drove off, Tiffany sighed and started rolling up her sleeves. She hadn't expected to be back here, or work for Sid, but he had helped her family. And, he was apparently also keeping a secret for her, which improved his standing with her for not mentioning it. And if they were reverse engineering a mech, she was willing to risk some law entanglements.

{Balthier}

Almost 8 minutes after Rachel's call, Sid pulled up behind her car with his tow truck. he shut off the engine, and got out.

"Miss Norman." He greeted.

{Lumina & Snow}

Eclair chuckled.

"Yeah, i suppose, but if she does too much, she could get in trouble with her job." She continued. "I don't suppose you could keep an eye out for Aeria."

Johnny nodded.

"A pleasure." he answered.

Eclair knew she wouldn't have to actually ask him to do that, but it felt good to do it anyway. She knew Johnny's protective nature would drive him to act in Aeria's defense. He'd be nice, he'd be smart. BUt Elcair couldn't wait for Maverick to push Johnny too far.

"Well." Eclair said as she finished her muffin. "I'd better get ready for work. Thanks for listening, Johnny."

The big guy beamed.

"Anytime, kiddo."

Giving Johnny a quick hug, Elcair ran into her trailer to get ready for work.

-Aeria-

She paused, looking at Maverick. Her hands went up...and she executed a flawless halm-heel strike into Maverick's chest, and before he could recover she took a step back and executed a perfect Chuck Norris Roundhouse kick to the same spot, and ended in a combat stance.

"Mommy's been teaching me stuff." She said. "I can live without you, Maverick. These scars are no longer proof of the pain you gave me. They are proof that I can survive. So you climb back out or I'll throw you out in pieces."

-Eclaire-

Closing the door, she went to try and make some breakfast.

At Narshe B&B . . . .

"Hmm, is that so?" A smile stretched Ultimecia's lips fine as she gazed upon the young woman behind the counter.  "Well, my dear, it sounds like that alone is quite interesting.  Don't underestimate yourself.  I think I could build one of my stories on you alone.  Perhaps we can talk more when we both have the time."

She hoisted her bag onto her carry-on, adjusting them casually before making her way down the hall toward the staircase.  Ultimecia shot a glance over her shoulder and waved.  "Thank you, Miss Branford, and thank you for contacting this Zach.  I look forward to speaking with him."  With that, the silver-haired woman disappeared up the staircase, searching for the room that would soon be hers.

Shortly after the journalist disappeared the door to the B&B burst open.  In stepped a man with disheveled lavender locks, wearing a wrinkled t-shirt under a maroon jacket and equally wrinkled jeans.  He had a sack over his shoulder; it seemed to be coming apart at the seams.  It looked as though this man had just been in a train wreck or was a hobo off the street.  He turned to Tina behind the counter and strode over.  "A young woman checked in last night and I need to see her," he said, tone urgent.  "I don't know what name she gave you, as she goes by so many around here, but she's my sister."

-Vanitas-

A groan escaped the teen's lips as he backed into a wall, doubled over and clutching his chest.  He gasped for air as all of it had just been knocked out of him.  Never had Aeria dared knocking him on his rear, let alone like this and under such conditions.  He didn't want to admit that the dark-haired brat might actually get the better of him.  While he often used brute force to get what he wanted, he wasn't particularly good at combat without a weapon.  Finally after composing himself Maverick shot a glare at Aeria.  The girl looked very determined, making Maverick want to wrap his hands around her throat and strangle her--but he didn't.  No, that might only grant her wish rather than make her suffer; he knew of better ways to make her pay.

"So, that's how it's going to be, then."  Maverick rose, readjusting his jacket and eyeing the teen coolly.  "Well, then, I can take a hint.  I'd best be going now, but let me just say that you made the wrong choice.  You do need me, whether you realize it or not, because everyone's going to be paying for your mistakes."  He tossed his head back casually.  "They always have, after all.  It was a mistake that you were ever born, Aeria, and I was trying to give you a second chance.  But oh well.  I don't need an ungrateful little brat anyway.  Let's see how long you're able to take care of yourself."

With that, the raven-haired youth stooped low out of her window, and made his way down her lawn, fists in his pockets.  He did stop outside the front yard to snatch up the largest rock he could find and chuck it at one of the windows.  A grin seized his mouth as he heard glass shatter upon impact.  He wasn't going to let Aeria make a fool of him like this.  If he couldn't get his way with her now, he would later after he made her regret her decision.

-Vanille-

Rachel had been surveying the street casually as she awaited Sid's arrival.  Her gaze followed Aron the teacher as he left his apartment when she heard her name being voiced behind her, "Miss Norman."

She turned around, red hair spiraling behind her, as her emerald eyes met those of the mechanic.  Immediately she darted over to him and grasped his hand with ultimate enthusiasm.  "Oh, thank goodness you're here, Sid!  Thank you so much for making it over here.  I have no idea what happened."  She shook her head dismally.  "I just had the axle repaired, so maybe it has something to do with it?"

Traffic unrelentingly continued down the street, seeming completely unfazed by her corolla and Sid's tow truck in the middle of the right-lane.  Finally she bit her lip and let out a sigh.  "I don't suppose you know of any taxi service, do you?  Would you be too busy to drop me off at work?  I have a surgery scheduled this afternoon and I really must make it into the office."

-Sora-

The boy finished two bowls of Frosted Cheerios before finally wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.  He really hadn't eaten much the night before, even though Sophia insisted that he did, and he was rather famished by morning.  He dropped his spoon and the bowl in the sink before scrambling to put away what remained of the cheerios and the milk.  He could still hear Sophia's soft voice from the other room.  He so greatly wished to eavesdrop or see what she was doing, but that would be defiantly rude and that was just not Sora.  Instead the brunet climbed back onto the couch, flipped the game console back on, and began playing through the small yet awesome collection of PS2 games that Sophia had.  He was determined to keep the volume low, however, so as not to disturb her, yet it was bound to travel to her room, signaling that Sora was indeed awake.

-Cloud and Aerith-

"No!  Tifa!!!"  The blond gasped and sat up.  A chirping beep behind him had grown rapid, following the pounding of his heart.  His turquoise-blue eyes met those of a nurse, who was checking his blood pressure when he'd sat bolt upright in bed.  Instead of seeming perturbed by his question, she merely asked, "Who's Tifa?"

For a moment all Cloud could do was stare at this young woman.  Iris had her hair plaited in a braid that fell midway down her back.  In it she wore a blue ribbon, which matched her pale-blue scrubs perfectly.  Her soft green eyes fell on Cloud as she smiled.  "Whoever she is, I'm sure that she's very special to you."

The blond shook his head frantically.  "Aerith, what--what are you doing here?" he asked, directing his question toward his nurse.  "And what's going on?  Why are my memories so fuzzy, and why can't I remember who I am or what happened to me?"

A concerned expression lit the face of the nurse, who removed his blood pressure cuff and wrote down some numbers on her chart.  "You must be mistaking me for someone else.  My name is Iris, not Aerith.  It does . . . feel like we've met before, but I'm afraid that I don't know you as well as you would hope."  She finally stopped writing to meet his eye once more.  "As for your memory, I think I can help with that.  You have something called amnesia, which in short is memory loss.  Sometimes the memory returns to the patient, and sometimes it doesn't.  Since you're remembering so much already, though, I think you will fully recover.  Just be patient and I'm sure it'll all come back to you."

"No, but--" Finally Cloud sighed.  There was no convincing anyone.  Maybe he really was crazy after all.  He closed his eyes, cold sweat gleaming on his forehead.  Iris leaned forward and brushed his pale locks off of his forehead, giving him another reassuring smile before leaving the room and closing the door.

Outside, Iris rested her forehead against the oak door, murmuring softly, "Where do I know him from?  And why do I know Tifa?"

Zachary was leading his companion towards his favorite spot on the beach, but she was distracted pretty quickly when her phone went off. Zach took a few steps to give her privacy, but made sure that she could still see him.

~Fran~

Nicole returned home, only to get a call from work moments later. Lukas was gone again.

As a social worker, it wasn't her job to look for the ones that go missing, but she took it as a personal duty. Again, she left the house, and towards the Inn, to see if anyone there had heard anything.

~Tyro~

Emmet skipped along down the sidewalk, heading hid way towards the GameStop. He wanted to see a few people anyhow, but somethinf had caught his eye. The Pawn Shop. It was back in the early hours of the day, he thought he may need to put it back into work for a few. Lukas had to pick something up eventually anyways. Speaking of, there he was, right in front of the shop.

"Hey Lukas. Sorry for being late."

He took out his keys, quickly shuffling them until the right bone fit in the slot. Huh... thats weird. The door was already unlocked. He pushed it open...

Nothing was right. How could this happen? The entire shop was trashed! Tyro rushed around, trying his best to see what was missing... but he couldn't tell what was gone. He fell to his knees.

"How could this happen...? Get a hold of yourself. Step one... put everything back." He stood back up. "Lukas, you want to help me out? I'll take off a few dollars of the necklace if you do."
