In the dimly lit alleyways, when Elysia encounters the "police officers" . . . .

Officer Red turned from Maverick and looked over at Elysia in surprise.  A look of panic flashed across his face, and for a moment he began to make a motion as if to flee.  The tall bald man, however, held his ground, looking confident and calmly turned to face Elysia. Even in the dim lighting the man wore sunglasses, curiously.  "Ah, FBI.  So it would seem that you have coinciding interests.  We have been instructed to take this young man in for questioning due to some, ah, illegal activities, but since you have been appointed here"--his eyes briefly flitted to her gun before returning to her gaze--"we will not stand in your way.  All that we require, ma'am, is your name."

The expressions of the two officers didn't bear much similarity.  Officer Red gritted his teeth and shot his partner a look, but seemed to swallow his words before turning back to Elysia. "Unless, of course, you would care to leave this case with the police.  We'll see to it that he receives a fair word from the Sheriff before executing any charges."

It was probably curious to Maverick that Red and the other man altered their story.  They were demanding information regarding a Trent Malone or "Ventus," yet didn't say anything about questioning Maverick about any illegal activities of his.  Either they were leading him on so they could arrest him once and for all, or they were clearly trying to lie to Elysia to cover their own tails.  It was difficult to say.

Back in the streets during the wolf attack . . . .

The gunshots sounding in the air from Aron made the wolves leap back in surprise.  They howled, as if wounded themselves, and took several moments to pace the street, observing Aron through glowing red eyes.  The wolf on the windshield still tried to break through, leaping on the mirror of the passenger door and clawing at the open window toward Aron.  The sound of Zach's voice, however, arrested their attention.  They all froze, became stock-still, and searched for the source of the voice.  Not far Zach could be seen, waving his arms, and crying for their attention.  As if debating whether to pursue the current attack or prey upon fresh meat, the wolves remained stock still, but only for a moment before they leapt up and bounded toward Zach.  They bared their teeth and claws, one racing up and preparing to strike.

In the backseat of the car, the blond young man moaned.  Blood stained the backseat of the sheriff's car as it pooled from his shoulder and onto it.  He tried to sit but fell back with a slightly yelp.  "What--what just happened?" he muttered, voice hardly audible from where Aron and Terrence were.  "Where am I?"

Back in Rachel's apartment, where the charity is commencing . . . .

A warm smile played against Iris's lips upon all of the gracious volunteers.  "Thank you all so much for your support, kind words, and help.  I am sure that we will come up with a solution to this problem, and hopefully be able to save all three boys from this woman Sora speaks of.  It is hard to believe everything, I know, since"--she hesitated, as if searching for the right words--"much of this seems to be myth rather than truth.  What we do know, however, is that someone out there has ill intentions for these boys, and it seems that she has resources beyond those of your average kidnapper.  I think it will be safest if Sora alternates homes with all of you volunteers, but I will leave that decision up to you and, ultimately, Sora."

The brunet looked up at her in alarm, to which she smiled and nodded.  This was a massive decision that the boy was encountering.  He turned to each of the kind faces in turn, amazed that all of them would be so gracious as to offer up their homes to help him, a complete stranger and potential liar.  After a moment's consideration, Sora walked up to Sophia and looked down.  It took a moment for him to compose himself and meet her gaze again.  "Miss, um, if it would be okay . . . .  Could I stay with you?"  Perhaps it was her sincere belief in his story, but he felt very safe with Sophia.  "But gee, thank you so much, everybody . . . .  You all are so kind."

At this Rachel stood up, grabbing the tray of freshly baked cookies and passing them around to the group.  She turned a glance at Sora from over her shoulder and smiled.  "But of course!  We only want to help."  Maybe she too didn't fully believe the boy, but she did think he had been through something traumatic, and that it was their job to aid him if possible.

Kievan's blue eyes sparkled in the dimness of the maglite.  He watched as Sid studied the piece of machinery with curiosity, mildly surprised yet not by the man's response.  At least he wasn't denying the machine's existence, that was a start.  While Kievan wasn't sure that he agreed with Sid's reasoning, he listened considerately before shaking his head.  "First, if it was a movie prop I don't think it would be here, rusting, in a cove off the coast line, so we're in concord here.  And I suppose the numbering could be something other than a year, but what are the odds?"  The science teacher strode over and rested a hand against the cool metal.  "Suppose that it is from the year 3204.  How do you think it could've gotten here?  This would open up so many possibilities, Sid!  It means that someone has come up with a way to transport things from the future, which could probably mean that we could enter the past!  The world would be filled with so many possibilities, perhaps even immortality."  He began to get that manic look in his eye, as if a scientist was all too happy with his experiment that nothing in the world mattered except for his finding.  Finally he managed to get a grip and fix his gaze on Sid.  "I want us to work on this together.  To be partners.  Make this 'our little project.'  You are a fine mechanic, the very best I know, and with your extensive knowledge and research and my experiments and scientific background I'm sure that we can open the door to so many of the world's mysteries."

Finally he hesitated, considering Sid's final question.  "How I found it is irrelevant.  The point is that it's here, and that I was the one graced to find it.  You should feel lucky that I have shown it to you, because I could've easily kept the entire discovery and glory to myself."

Truthfully, he couldn't have kept it to himself, because, despite being a scientist, he didn't have the knowledge he needed to learn more about this machine.  He needed Sid, as much as he refused to admit it.

The teen stood silent throughout all of this as Sora explained his story and fellow volunteers offered to help the young boy to find a temporary home. He wanted to wait it out a little bit and make up his mind before deciding if he believed Sora's story or not. After seeing the sincerity of the boy with his story of how this "witch" had kept him captive and was from another world, Mike stepped forward. "I wasn't sure about you at first kid, but it seems to me like you're really sure of what you saw. Whatever the truth is, i'd be willing to also have you stay at my house sometime when you need it. My folks typically don't mind other kids over and i'm sure they'd like to have you stay with us when you need to." He smiled, trying to re-assure the boy and show him that he could be trusted.

(Aeria was asking about Zack/Alex too)

Terrence looked to the side in surprise when he heard the shouting. Zach? The hell was he thinking?! "Hey! Get out of here, quick!" The Sheriff yelled towards Zach. But it was too late, the wolves were already heading straight towards him. And he had that wounded blonde guy in the back, and Aron right there in the passenger seat with his gun... What could he do? There was no way he was just going to leave Zach here by himself, but he also had the duty to get the teacher and the amnesiac where they belonged. Finally, he made a snap decision. He jumped out of the car, slamming the door with a few words for Aron. "Get him to the hospital quick! I'll be fine!" Terrence said as he lunged towards the lead wolf, tackling it away from Zach.

<Terra>

Tina smiled politely and nodded as Sora chose to stay with Sophia. They would be an excellent match, and perhaps Sophia could use a kid like Sora around the house. And Sora would probably get to meet Terrence and be at the police station too. That would be some fun for the kid. Tina grabbed the tray from Rachel, and gestured for the hostess to sit down. She needn't work herself so hard. The Innkeeper passed the tray to Nicole on her left.

*Yuffie*

Amber laughed as Zach ran out of the hotel. "Yeah sure! Just know that normally the guy picks the girl up!" She called to him as he dashed away. She doubted he heard her, or if it would change his mind in the slightest, but that didn't matter. She liked to tease and flirt with him, it was fun. Occasionally she wondered if it could blossom into something else, but then she forgot it. He was a wandering writer, wouldn't settle down with a hometown girl like her. But still... She sighed a little bit, reclining in the seat at the front desk again.

Sophia smiled sweetly when Sora approached her. She was very happy and overall flattered to have him pick her. She reached out her hand and ruffled his hair. "Of course. I would love you to stay with me. I will take good care of you and try my best to help you okay? We'll have a lot of fun too!" Sophia looked over to Iris. She wanted to make sure Sora was safe as possible. Luckily she was a skilled fighter and always had her pistol on her, so if anyone came at her or Sora she could handle the situation.

"Iris, should we give Sora an identity just in case? If anything I could say he's my nephew visiting me. People are going to ask questions..."

Nicole was content with the decision Sora made. Whatever was safest for him was sure to be a good choice. After all, she worked with kids. Whoever this Ultimencia was, she'd probably look for Kid-friendly people first.

"Alright. What do we do now? Search for Trent and Maverick?" She asked. She assumed that is exactly what they needed to do, but still. "I can go searching tonight. After all, I don't work tomorrow so I'm okay with late night searching."

Nicole got handed a tray. She hadn't been paying much attention, so she didn't know what she was supposed to do with it. She supposed that she was to pass it along until someone took something off of it, so she passed it to Allen.

"...Uh oh." Zachary didn't really think this far- the wolves were running after him! Could he outrun them? No... but maybe he could climb up a ladder or something nearby- wait!

"Terrance! What are you doing?!" Zach yelled, the other wolves continued to run in Zachary's direction, so he couldn't help the man who had been laying quite far away in the ally. Didn't he learn something in grade school about wolves? Something about holding their muzzles closed, and resting on the backs to calm them down. As one of the wolves drew closer, Zachary tried just that.

Zach jumped to the side, trying to avoid whatever the wolf may have planned. He tackled the wolf from the side, and attempted to hold it's muzzle shut. He wasn't sure if it was working or not, but part of him was worried about the other wolf...

Tiffany's eyes got big after Sera mentioned that the nice accomplice looked like Eclair. Then there was that strange woman who was talking to the waitress. Could it be?

"Um, Sora." Tiffany hazarded. "Do you mind taking a look at a picture?"

Taking out her phone, Tiffany scrolled through her pictures till she found the selfie she took with Eclair back when she graduated. She held it out for Sora to see.

"Is this the girl with the pink hair you saw?" She asked apprehensively.

While Sid disagreed that it was impossible for a movie prop to be abandoned, he greatly doubted that one this good would.

"Don't get too worked up." He said, snapping off his Maglite. "You are assuming who ever made this runs off the same year systems as we do. This might be back in the 50s and that date would still work. Assuming anything right now would be stupid."

Remaining in a crouched position, Sid stared at the impossible mechanism in front of him. He wanted to walk away. Kievan got on his nerves and he wasn't sure he liked the manic edge when the science teacher spoke about immortality. But...this mystery was already nagging at him. What if this was just the tip of the iceberg? What other secrets could be found and profited from?

"Alright." He said, somewhat reluctantly. "Partners."

He stood up, looking at Kievan.

"Let's be clear about one thing. This can't stay here. I've got a place near the docks we could move it without being seen."

Rachel's apartment: (Locke, Vanille, Aerith, and Sora)

"H--hey!" Sora murmured, half-laughing and trying to duck from Sophia's hand tousling his hair.  It was apparent from the smile on his face that he wasn't serious, however.  He nodded graciously.  "Thank you, Sophia.  Hopefully I'll be off and out of your way in a jiffy!  I mean, that is . . . you guys are going to help me get back home, right?"

Silence prevailed in the apartment.  Not even the wind chimes on the back porch could be heard.  "Sora," Iris began quietly, eyes downcast.  "Of course, we'll help you get back home, but right now getting home might not be the safest thing for you.  I have a strange feeling about this woman who kidnapped you, and I fear we may be encountering something strange.  Very strange.  For now please let us protect you, okay?"  The brunette then glanced over at Sophia, who offered to claim the boy as her nephew.  "I suppose it would be a plausible explanation.  However, it will be hard to explain your nephew switching hands.  Let's go with this for now, to avoid suspicious activity, but we'll have to come up with different explanations for the others when the time arises."

The boy frowned, walking away from Sophia and standing before Iris.  Their gaze met momentarily, before Sora hung his head and nodded.  "I understand.  No one's going to believe us about this lady, and if there's anything that I can do to help"--he brought his fist through the air--"you've got it."

It was around then that a lazy yawn escaped Skylar's mouth.  He'd been working since early that morning, and by that time of night he was pretty well beat.  He leaned over and snatched a cookie off the tray Allen was holding, taking a large bite out of it before saying, "Hey, I don't think we've met.  Have I seen you around Gamestop before?  You look oddly familiar."

Rachel looked mildly appalled at Skylar's reaction.  She shook her head dismally, as though embarrassed by his behavior, yet said nothing.  A rose hue tinted her cheeks.  She poured a glass of water and handed it over to Sora.  Upon hearing Nicole's suggestion the redhead nodded.  "That's a good idea.  I can go with you, Nicole, if you'd like a companion.  I only have a few appointments scheduled for tomorrow so I don't have to go in early."

Iris, overhearing the exchange, turned to them and tilted her head.  "I suppose you could . . . if you'd like . . . .  But please do this carefully.  What we're up against isn't anything normal, and we need to use great caution.  It would probably be better if you do it during the day, and maybe even take one of the guys with you.  Also, well, we all know what kind of character Maverick is.  Convincing him that he's in danger won't be easy."

Breaking away from the heart of the conversation, Sora tiptoed over to Tiffany who beckoned him, showing him a picture of a pink-haired young woman.  His eyes widened, snatching the phone from her grasp and examining it further.  He squinted, bringing the image closer and farther from his face before finally turned to glance at Tiffany.  "I'm almost sure that's her."

Back in the street:

The wolves weren't taking kindly to the two humans who approached and tackled them.  The one which Terrence tackled let out a howl, rolling around with the sheriff before digging its claws deep into the flesh of his shoulder.  It barked loudly, its hot breath on Terrence's face.  It tried to snap its chops on his face, yet it was luckily still inches away before it could take a bite out of him.  Zach, on the other hand, was faring much better.  The wolf that he tackled seemed to become enraged upon his leap, but overtime as he sat on its back, holding its muzzle shut, it started to take deep breaths and calm down.  It blinked several times, and eventually its full body surrendered to him.  One other wolf remained in the pack, seeming uncertain on what it should do.  Finally it decided to let out a yelp before making a motion toward Terrence, leaping on his back and trying to bite his ear.

~Kefka~

A light frown furrowed the scientist's eyebrows.  "I concur that it shouldn't be left there, but at your place?  Sid, Elysia is already all over your tail and beyond; are we really going to be able to keep such an object of massive size and curiosity away from her prying eyes?  No, let us move it to my place.  I have a shed out back that should fit it."  Of course, he wasn't sure that was the greatest of ideas, either.  He already once provoked the FBI on another matter concerning some antiques he possessed, along with a girl that had once gone missing, and he'd hate  to attract attention to himself once more if some neighbor catches sight of the transportation of the suit.  Still, he preferred it to be in his possession anyway.  He wasn't sure how greatly he could trust Sid yet, not that he had very much of a choice.  "Now then, how do you suggest we move this piece of machinery?  If we could fire it up we could probably just use those nifty controls and walk it right out of there, but that doesn't seem immediately possible, does it?"

Sophia nodded at Iris' answer. Even though they would have to think of explanations eventually, just saying that Sora was her nephew right now should buy them a decent about of time.

"We'll think of something- right now we'll just have to focus on what's in front of us right now. I'll be able to take him to work with me, so he should be safe there especially with Terrence too. But it won't be long before people question." She checked the time. It was pretty late. Sophia glanced over at Sora. She could only imagine how tired he must be. Sophia got up from her seat and placed his hand on Sora's shoulder.

"Would you like to get going? You must be very hungry and tired..."

Before Aron could do anything else, Terrence soon left the car, as he heard someone screaming at the wolves, to grab their attention, something he considered idiotic, bur awfully brave from whoever did it, however Aron was surprised at Terrence's words "I cant just leave you her-" Before Aron could finish his sentence Terrence had already tackled a wolf down, seemed no other choice as the boy on the backseat was bleeding an awful lot from the gunshot, "Alright fine..." Aron said Getting to the drivers seat and starting the engines.

"Lets see If I still know how to drive" he commented, as he hadn't driven a car in a few months, he didnt exactly have one, since his work wasn't far, and having one in such a small town, in his opinion wasn't ever necessary, although he saw the uses for it, "Hold on" he soon stepped on the pedal and started driving towards the hospital, honking the horn as he did, and turning on the sirens, so whoever had a car, would know not to stay in the way.

"Gad, stupid wolf." Terrence growled, grabbing its mouth, and holding it shut, similar to how Zachary had done. It was an excellent idea, and considering he had seen it work just a second ago, was worth another shot. As he did so, the third wolf jumped onto his back. "Can't get enough can you!" He yelled, bucking backwards to throw the wolf off of his back. Terrence took his hands off his captive wolf in order to kick the other one in the ribcage. He looked to Zachary, and finally replied. "My job. Protecting civilians. The question is, what were you thinking? Jumping into something like this. You should have stayed far away so we could drive away. Then the wolves would have left everybody alone." The Sheriff said, more than a little ticked off at Zachary's rash actions. He began to put pressure on the small puncture wounds in his shoulder from the wolf claws.

Tina nodded as the conversation continued about what to do with Sora as well as his story. She quietly sat back, letting them discuss. She had nothing to had to the situation at the moment, so she remained quiet. But then she had a bit of an idea, or at the very least an offer. "Iris, if you want I could keep an eye out for outsiders who come into the town. After all, unless they rent for long term, they would have to stay at my inn." Tina said.

~Zidane~ Zachary hopped off the now asleep wolf, and headed towards Terrance to help him out. "Are you sure NOW is the time for questions like this?" Zach tackled the wolf atop of Terrance, so that he may handle the one below him. "Besides, if I hadn't, those wolves would have just chased you into the streets, into public!" Zach attempted to repeat his method of making the wolf succumb, but he wasn't sure how it was going to fare with all the yelling.~Fran~ "I understand..." Nicole said, with a bit of reluctancey. She had hoped that maybe something could be done tonight, that maybe, there was something SHE could do. She wouldn't report back to Social Butterflies, she knew that much. She took out her checkbook, and wrote a seemingly generous number down. Handing it to Iris, she relaxed a bit. "This should help out the charity a bit. I have to go, but please continue without me." Nicole left with a bow, and headed out of the apartment building, and into her Light blue porche. She sat with her hands on the wheel, nothing but thinking. After a few beats, she slammed her hands against it, and exclaimed. "I must be crazy doing this..." She pulled out of the driveway, and into the streets, doing what she could to start the search now.

"FBI Special Agent Elysia Tonnerre. Now what are you doing with this boy in a dark alleyway without his parents or guardians with him?" She demanded, hand resting on her sidearm. "And I'll need your badge numbers, names, and your superior officer." She demanded, badge lowered, then slid into her pocket.

Tiffany felt a lump in her throat as she turned the phone to look at it herself. But if Eclair was in on this....

She put the phone away and gave Sora an encouraging smile.

"Don't worry, big guy." She said, giving him a pat on the shoulder. "We'll figure this out."

She glanced over as Sera exited the meeting. For a moment, she felt torn, but she had to do the right thing. Even if it was against a friend.

"I gotta go, Sora." Tiffany said. "Stick with these people, and they'll keep you safe."

With that, Tiffany rushed out of the meeting to find Sera. It took a moment for her to recognized Sera's car driving off. Tiffany started running after the FBI agent, calling out and waving her arms.

Sid shook his head.

"Do you think I'm dim, Kievan?" He said, sounding a bit annoyed. "My place near the docks is under the table. The FBI don't know about it, or else I would be in hot water. I can handle keeping Elysia out of my business."

Taking a deep breath, Sid left his hands in a "whatever" gesture.

"Look, you wanted it closer to you, fine. But I'm going to need some keys if this goes into your place."

He glanced back at the machine for a moment.

"Until I know exactly what it's suppose to do, I'm not firing this baby up. I can call a friend with a truck big enough to haul it, and it has a winch we can use."

He held up a hand to prevent an objection.

"Don't worry, I'll pick it up and my friend won't ask questions."

Rachel's apartment: (Aerith, Sora, Locke, and Vanille)

Iris turned and watched as Seraphim and Tiffany left, shortly followed by other members who obviously had other things to do with their evening.  The hour was indeed late; well past nine o'clock.  They'd covered a lot of bases that day, more than enough to adjourn this session.  With that Iris rose and gave Sophia a slight nod.  "Thank you for taking the boy in.  Unfortunately he brought naught but the clothing he's wearing, so I'd like you to use the company funds to pick up a few essentials for him"--she handed Sophia a credit card casually--"keep in touch.  I want to make sure that Sora's safe and comfortable, and the rest of you: please be on the lookout.  We'll meet again soon to discuss further plans to find his captor, but until then we need to keep this silent.  I fear that the more people that know the worse the situation could become."  The young woman rose, her plaited brown locks sifting over her shoulder.  She smiled at Sora and nodded.  "You're in good hands, so don't worry.  And thank you everyone, really.  I'm so grateful for your generosity and courage in this situation."  Iris reached the doorway and paused, her hand on the handle.  "Also, Tina . . . .  As much as I know how confidential it is supposed to be concerning the residents who stay at the inn, a report would be grand, thank you."

Skylar gave a brief nod as she excused herself and exited the apartment.  With that the brunet yawned and let out a stretch.  "Well, time for me to start hitting the road.  I've got a lot of sleep to catch up on before work tomorrow.  And hey, Sophia"--he nodded seriously in Sora's direction--"you going to be okay?  If you need anything please give me a call, or I'm sure my buddy Mike here could help out."  With that, Skylar lept off the couch and extended a hand to Mike.  "Take care and I'll see ya later.  Stop by the Gamestop sometime; I'm sure that me and Alex would enjoy your company, and maybe that black-haired chick if she managed to get hired."  He scratched his head thoughtfully, as if deep in thought regarding Aeria.  "Anyhow, night y'all."

In the alleyway: (Reno, Rude, and Vanitas)

The officers shifted uncomfortably, loosening their grip on Maverick's arm.  Officer Red eventually laughed, shook his head, and sighed.  "Like we need to tell you all of this.  Come on, let's go.  Leave the boy to her; I'm sure she can handle the rest."  Without even awaiting neither her or Maverick's responses, the two hopped into their sleek black car and began to drive away, heading north and out of town.  Maverick remained standing there, befuddled, wondering how the heck those guys knew so much.  He thought that he was the only one who remembered their past lives, and yet these guys seemed to know far more than the average bloke, let alone officer.  "What do you want?" he snapped at Elysia without even turning to look at her.  "I could've handled them myself."

At the hospital: (Cloud, Auron)

After a wild and reckless ride, Aron made it to the hospital with his wolf patient.  The staff looked at the teacher skeptically and asked many questions, namely why Aron was driving Sheriff Terrence's car and how the young man got shot.  The doctors, however, tended to the blond's wounds immediately, and a young nurse even offered Aron coffee while he waited in the sitting room.  Whether it was because she liked him or felt sorry for him was uncertain.  Finally another nurse came in, brushing bangs from her face and looking slightly flustered.  She strolled over to Aron and asked, "Sir, you wouldn't happen to be Zack Fair, would you?  The young lad that you brought in is constantly asking for him, saying other things about a Sephiroth and some soldier-thingy that I've never heard of.  Perhaps you would like to go see him?"  Traces of hopefulness were apparent on her face, as though hopeful that she wouldn't have to go back in there and try explaining things to him again.

(Note: since Zach and Shard are currently absent, perhaps Terrence should show up at the hospital to check on Aron and Cloud?)

~*~Kefka~*~

Kieven's eyes grew still, mulling over Sid's offer momentarily.  Finally he snapped out of his trance and shook his head.  He didn't trust leaving this piece of machinery with the mechanic, but he trusted him less with a set of keys.  "Fine, take it to your place, then.  I'll be checking on it frequently, and keep me posted.  If Elysia so much as sniffs the air in your direction I'm taking it back, though, got it?"  He jerked his head in the direction of the car, as if they should leave now.  He opened his car, pausing before entering.  "By the way, who is this *friend* who is going to be helping you?  Anyone I know?"

Somehow, the wolves they had worked hard to succumb did just that- each wolf had given in and passed out in the alley. The others didn't hesitate to bounce out and hurry in the general direction of the hospital. Zach wasn't sure where to go from here... should he find animal control? Should he join the others at the hospital?

"Wait, Amber!" He ran off in a rush, almost forgetting the dinner he had planned. The apartment building wasn't too far away, and Amber probably only jusy got off at the Inn. He started dashing across the street, not taking notice to the light blue porch heading his way...

~Fran~

It was dark out that night. Even though her headlights had been plenty bright, Nicole's eyes weren't fast enough to notice the man dashing across the Avenue, and before she knew it, a loud bang had been heard, and the man lay motionless in the street. Nicole brought the car to a quick halt, and jumped out of the vehicle.

"Holy sh... hey!" Nicole kneeled over the man, shoving him to check if he was still concious. She turned him over face up. She couldn't recognize him, but she knew that he needed to be taken to the hospital as soon as he could get there.

"Just someone I use for transportation, when I need it." Sid answered. "I doubt you'd know him and he likes keeping his list of contacts low, in case of legal troubles. He won't be involved with anything more then loaning me the truck, so we're in the clear there."

Looking back at the mysterious junk heap Kieven had led him to, Sid couldn't help but think this was the end of something. Maybe it was this pokey little life, and he could buy a yacht like he always wanted.

"Anything else before I make the call?" He asked, looking back to his new business partner.

Elysia merely looks down at Maverick...and straight up sucker punches his face without a single pause.

"Handle that, you little prick." She growled. "I made sure they didn't do anything because it's my job and there was reasonable doubt, but my ensuring of your continued breathing is all you'll get. Touch Aeria again, and I'll personally ensure you stop breathing."

She turned and left him there with most likely a very nice black eye.

Sophia smiled softly and gratefully accepted the credit card. Already she knew exactly what she should get for Sora. First off is some fresh clothes. She'll buy some fresh ingredients with her own money to cook a good meal tonight also. Sora must've not eaten in days. Only problem is she would have to bring him to the store, since she can't leave him alone and he had to pick out what he wanted.

"Thank you, Skylar." Sophia said as she turned to Skylar to thank him. "If anything I'll definitely call you." After everyone left, Sophia gently reached down to ruffle Sora's hair.

"Do you want to go to my house now?" She asked. "I could take you to the store to get you some fresh clothes... I know of a great place that not many people go to. If not I have some clean clothes that I was going to donate at home. You could borrow those for the night."

~Fran (cont.)~

Not too far away from the hospital now, Nicole began speeding her way down the empty streets, hoping that the man in the back was still alive. She wasn't a doctor, she wouldn't know how to check herself. Once she arrived, she didn't hesitate to throw the man on her back and bring hI'm inside. Almost immediately,in a haze she couldn't recall, the man was taken and brought into intensive care. Twiddling her thumbs, Nicole lost her focus and started walking up and down the lobby area. Wait, was that Aron?

"Aron? What are you doing here? Did someone get hurt?"

Tina nodded after Iris confirmed that information on the hotel guests would be beneficial. For now, only Zach was staying there regularly. She gave a slight smile towards the others as she got up. "Nice seeing everyone. You know where to find me if you need me." She said, picking up her purse as she slipped out the door, and headed towards her car. She got in, and started the engine. Dora's story was quite the interesting one, especially considering how not interesting her life normally was. The Innkeeper got the feeling that something was starting, and that her life would be changed by it. For the better or not, she wasn't sure.

Terrence stood to his feet, and stretched. He turned around, intent on scolding Zach some more, but he had already vanished. The Sheriff shook his head. He'd need to look out for him apparently, rash behavior like that might get him seriously hurt one of these times. He moved his shoulder, and pain shot through him. That bite wasn't nice. Simply dressing the wound might be enough, but unfortunately, the first aid kit he kept with him normally, was in the car. It would be a decent idea to check on Aron and the wounded guy anyway. Terrence nodded to himself, and began to jog over to the hospital.

The Sheriff entered the lobby area, and spotted Aron as well as Nicole, a business woman that worked in town. He didn't know her very well, but he did know her. He had dressed his wound out in the parking lot, using antiseptic and bandages. He would probably be fine, the wolves didn't seem rabid. "Aron, Nicole." He greeted with a nod. "Hey Aron, what's the status on the guy I shot?"

-Hospital-

This turned out to be one hell of a day, not only did Aron have to drive someone to the hospital, trying not to crash as he had never really driven a car outside driving school, and that was years ago, he had to deal with the shooting gallery of questions aimed at him, mostly he just said that the boy got shot, and that Terrence was busy and told him to drive it, other than that, he answered the same thing to what he thought was the entire hospital's staff, not only that but he got eyed up and down by nurses too, although that wasn't exactly considered bad.

Exhausted Aron sat on a bench nearby the operating room, as a nurse gave him a cup of coffee, much to his gratification, he needed a cup of coffee after all this, soon enough another nurse came in asking him if his name was Zack fair, "Names Aron, English teacher, I don't know any Zack fair's, but I could go talk to him, if he's stable enough" he answered her as she went back to check, "Sephiroth?...now thats a weird name"...he muttered to himself.

Taking a sip of coffee he was approached by Nicole, a social worker who he had some nice chats in the past, after all there were some social experiments at the school every once in a while, and most it was her managing it, "Greetings Nicole" he greeted her as he heard the question, "Boy go shot, had to drive him here pretty much." He answered plainly.

Terrence soon came in as well, surprised at how quick the boy got to the hospital without a car, he envied the man's stamina, and again, he was asked another question, nodding as he greeted Terrence Aron stood up from the bench, "He'l live, Nurse says he's able to speak, I'l got talk to him, if you want to come, be my guest." he said finishing the coffee cup.

~Noel~

Mike nodded as the meeting officially ended. "Well, it's been fun all of you! Take care of yourself, ok?" He said as he turned to Sora. He then waved to all the others and headed out for the door back home. That Sora kid...He seemed so sincere with his explanation but...C'mon, this is the real world. I'm sure something happened to him and i tried to reassure him, but...It's hard to believe something crazy like this could actually be going on.

~Zack~

Alex looked up as he saw Aeria walking in and heard her asking about a job here, finally happy that something was happening to liven up his long shift. "Welcome! You said you were interested in applying here, right?" He quickly hurried to the back room in the door behind him and came back with a small stack of papers for her to fill out. "Alrighty then, here's the application you need to fill out. We are a bit short on staff, so if you are serious about this, i'd be glad to welcome you to the position!"

"C... C... Ah!" A young lad, hair bright with brown, scurried around in the crammed vacuum that stood between the dusty shelves, until the desired labeling came into sight. "Now, let's see... Chocobo, Crystal, Cyan.... all in order!" The boy slammed the large book he carried in his hands with a loud thud, particles of dust shooting across the poorly lit room. He pushed his way back into the front room, where he displayed some of the more interesting- yet ordinary- objects. He could put a label on almost anything a client would point at... almost. He couldn't disclose his ignorance to a few peculiar set of weapons, oddly shaped as keys, that would lay in the furthermore region of the pawn shop he operated on his own. Before heading out to grab himself a supper to finish his day, he made sure that everything in shop was neat and orderly- he didn't want to make any mistakes.

(By the way, is Tiffany waiting for Seraphim?  Did Sera stop for Tiffany outside of Rachel's apartment?)

The town's inn:

It was nearly dawn, when Amber was more than likely to call it a night that a young woman entered the inn.  Her hair and clothes were drenched as though she'd just swam across the ocean and back.  Dark circles rested under her emerald-green eyes, her steel-blue hair hanging like curtains around her small pallid face.  She walked up to the counter and smiled at Amber.  "I'd like a room, if you please," she said in a polite tone.  "I don't have money to pay upfront, though.  My brother said he'll come in the morning to pay, if you would accept a late payment?"

~*~Vanitas~*~

The young man knew that Elysia had always been full of surprises, yet he didn't foresee that punch coming at all.  It made him stagger and swear, bringing a hand up to dab at his cheek.  Already it was puffy and would undoubtedly turn into a black eye.  Maverick growled under his breath.  "I never wanted your help.  I had them just fine."  He brought his gaze to the sky, now streaked with shades of pink.  Had he really been out that long?  Those guys were certainly not cops, that much was for certain, but what did they know about the truth, and why did they need him?  Finally he remembered Elysia still standing beside him, likely glowering at him.  He clutched his skateboard and started to break away.  "I'll talk to who I please, since it's a free country.  And since when has Aeria ever shoo'd me off?  You know she likes me."

Of course he knew that she didn't really like him.  Who did?  However, he wanted Elysia to sit on that one for a bit, and maybe even confront Aeria concerning the matter if she felt stuck-up enough.  He had no respect for authority, let alone Elysia.

At the hospital:

The nurse looked like she was either desperate to get home or get to bed, or she had about all she could take from the patient and the waiting room crowd.  She sighed as she glanced at her watch.  "You all can come in, as far as I'm concerned.  The room is spacious enough, and he's plenty stable.  However, he's been getting himself into a crazed fit of nonsense and gets really worked up if you don't take him seriously, so I'd advise to keep a safe distance from him."  She shook her head and began leading the two--and possibly Nicole if she was interested and chose to tag along--down a couple of halls and into a small room.

It wasn't exactly spacious as she'd described, but there was a single chair alongside the bed, and plenty of room for at least four people to stand in.  On the bed rested the pale-haired young man, whose face was even more devoid of blood than it had been previously.  The moment they entered his eyes turned to meet them, turquoise eyes that still felt unearthly and dangerous.  The nurse didn't even enter the room, but said from the doorway, "Here's the guys that brought you in.  Maybe they can answer your questions."  And with that she was gone.

The young man remained silent, watching as they entered, waiting to hear what they had to say.

~*~Vanille and Sora~*~

"Hmm . . . . " The boy brought a hand to his chin, rubbing it thoughtfully.  "Well, I kind of hate shopping.  I could sleep in this"--he stretched his arms out to emphasize the dirty, worn clothes that he had on--"or maybe even wear something you have there, if you don't mind?"  His expression suddenly got serious as he asked suddenly, "They're not girl clothes, are they?"

Rachel, gathering cups and cookie crumbs, couldn't help but let out a giggle at Sora's concern.  She loved children and always dreamed of having some of her own one day.  Of course there was the matter of even finding the right guy first, something that she wasn't even near finding.  Snapping out of her daze, she registered that Mike was heading out the door and bidding his farewells.  She grabbed a few remaining cookies off the tray and thrust them into his waving hand.  "Here, I can't eat them all anyway!" She laughed lightly, her tone pleasant.  "Thank you so much for coming, Mike.  You're always welcome here.  I look forward to seeing your next game!"

Sora, meeting Mike's eye, smiled sheepishly and waved in response.  "Maybe we could play ball together sometime.  I love sports."  He then turned to Aqua and nodded.  "I think I'm ready to head to your place instead of the store, if you don't mind."

~*~Kefka~*~

"Just a friend."  He looked unconvinced, yet he shook his head and rid himself of the thought.  Whatever.  He couldn't work on this project alone, and Sid was surely going to use enough sense not to get himself busted in the process of getting this piece of technology up and running.  "Very well, and no, I have nothing else for you except thank you.  I do appreciate your help in this matter."  It was rare that Kievan ever even began to express gratitude, let alone mean it.  His tone shifted from sincerity to impatience in a blink of an eye, however, as he slid into the driver's seat of his car.  "Anyhow, it's late and I'm tired.  I have to be at the school in just a few hours to teach those blasted kids.  Are you ready to go, or will your 'friend' meet you here?"  He hoped and prayed the friend wasn't going to be coming, but he was determined to hold his tongue, at least through this.  He'd also had other plans for the night--including meet with his dear friend Tina and a pawn shop owner--but it would clearly have to wait for another school day to pass.

~*~Riku~*~

It was approaching dawn.  The sky was lit with hues of purple, indicating that the sun would soon begin to peak above the horizon.  Flint was out earlier than usual, riding his bike and heading for the Gamestop.  He'd been wanting to stop there early before school, and thankfully this location had very flexible hours.  The guys were almost always understaffed, though, so that was always a pain to deal with during his trips.  As he continued riding his bike, his mind focused almost entirely on this nice RPG he was intending to get, he noticed a kid slumped over on the road, completely passed out.  He'd recognize that mess of blond hair anywhere.  "Lukas!" he cried out, leaping off his bike and rushing to him.  "Lukas!  Are you alright?  What are you--"

(yep. She and I were hoping she'd get noticed.){Balthier}"Yeah, I'm ready." Sid answered. "I'll pick up the truck after you drop me off."He pulled out his phone as he walked to Kievan's truck as he texted his contact to make arrangements. After he had finished, he opened the passenger side door and got in. After a moment, he started patting his pockets for his pad and pen. Once he found them, he jotted down an address."Here's where I'll be storing our find." He said, offering a piece of paper torn from his note book.
